((Backdated to about a week or so after his awakening))

Over the past few days he received quite a bit of information and more than a few shocks. The least of which was that not only was his wif… girl... the mother of his child, a magical being but so were several of her family members. He was quite surprised since none of them really struck him as ‘superheros’. They were just normal people and yet when he and Dessie made it back to their place all kinds of secrets came out of the woodwork. Secrets that he would have to take to his grave, just like his own secret and Dessie’s. It was quite daunting really when one thought about it. There was a lot to think over really. So much information. So many new concepts were thrust upon him in such a short time. It was rather dizzying.

The one thing that he did know was that he wanted to learn everything. He wanted to make sure he was as prepared to step into the shoes he found himself in as he could be if only so he could protect his family when it was needed. He would not be caught unaware like he was about a week ago. In order to facilitate his decision the young man was able to set up a meeting, more like a ‘class’, with his ‘princess’. Ida had offered to teach him that night but between the injuries and the shock and the fact they had to get back to Sarah there hadn’t been any time to do so. But now was the time.

Time enough to fully grasp what was being told. Time to understand and see. Time to analyze and formulate further thought processes. He had been told what was going on from the Jacobs but he wanted to see what Ida’s take on the whole ‘war’ was. How did she see things considering her position and history? He was told that, like in normal wars, this one wasn’t as black and white as it seemed and yet his gut reaction was closer to the opposite of that thought process. What was Ida’s stance? Truthfully, wanting to hear her take on this whole nutty situation was the main reason he was out there waiting for her to arrive, waiting in the shadows of some trees.

A glance at the time on the phone ment she should be here any moment. The night was oddly still, only the distant sounds of the city to break up the silence. He wasn’t entirely sure how he felt about it, it definitely put him on edge but then again the last time he had spent any significant time in a park he was rudely introduced to a world of magic and insanity. If he didn’t need to know how to protect himself or his family from the batty people he was now going to be facing, the young man figured he wouldn’t actually fight. Alas things were never that easy.

He was a page of Ida. Nothing he could do about that. As such he really should know more about Ida and her own philosophy with regards to this insane city. Maybe learn some fighting moves from her as well. The more he knew the better he could protect those that needed protecting.

It was weirdly nerve wracking to prepare for knight lessons for someone from your own asteroid. Sigiriya wasn't 'hers', really, but someone who shared the duty of protecting their tiny, verdant asteroid. They were more like team mates or comrades than Princess and Knight, but no matter how much Ida told herself that, there was still a stubborn little voice inside that said she had a responsibility to him, to making sure he was safe. He was from her world, after all.

All that meant that she was extra careful to prepare what she wanted to show him and give him and teach him about both being a knight and Ida itself, and the negaverse in particular. When she arrived to the park, she was in eternal form with a canvas bag over her shoulder, Illyria on her shoulders and a determined expression, though not so determined she didn't have room for a smile as she lifted a hand to him in greeting.

"Hi, Sigiriya." She called as she waved. "Are you okay if we do this somewhere safer? I thought maybe I'd take you to our asteroid, Ida. I don't know if you've been yet?"

At first blush Illyria could almost ignore that small, persistent, voice at the back of her mind telling her that things were still not hunky dory. Maybe Ida had been affected by the changing of fall into winter and that's why she was more tense, more prone to emotional outbursts. It almost seemed right now that Ida was almost chipper to go out and meet with Sigiriya after the young man's rude awakening into the war that plagued Destiny City. She had Ida had arrived in the nick of time to help fend off those that had sought to do harm to the new page and his senshi friend (girlfriend?) and for that she was grateful. But even as she managed to keep her grip on Ida's fuku as the eternal senshi moved with extreme grace did the Mauvian remember the dazed expression of the one that she had shoved face first into a brick wall. 'If I hadn't done it, Sigiriya might not have survived the night, it was a necessary action.'

It had been a hasty decision but had it been right to do so?

Shaking her head to clear the thoughts that plagued her did Illyria turn her sights on Sigiriya before moving enough that she could drop from Ida's shoulders. Feeling the ground meet her paws did Illyria prowl forward before gently winding herself around the Page's ankles. Who cared if it was probably a little too intrusive for a second meeting? She was greeting the young man in her own fashion and as Ida extended the invitation to go to her world did Illyria pipe up alongside her bonded partner, "I'd agree with her observations that it'd be safer to do this off world, but entirely the choice I think lies with you alone."

Sig fiddled with the cheap disposable phone he had been given while scanning his surroundings. He was more skittish than a cat in a dog pound, but considering his past week or so could anyone blame him? The young man straightened and stepped out of the shadows when he spotted the purple clad senshi approach. She definitely looked different then the last time he saw her. He raised a hand in a return wave before starting to agree with her proposal, only to change it to a, “Oh hello again. You're a guardian cat right?” The little cat that he distinctly remembered turning into a cat girl twisted about his feet, making him hesitate to move in case he accidentally stepped on her.

It was still bizarre to the extreme that the cat was talking, a fever dream that she changed into a human, but then again this whole thing was one messed up dream that he couldn’t wake up from. “That's what I was told would likely happen,” He muttered quietly with a shrug. “From what I understand we are kinda sending off signals that could attract unwanted attention like we are a radar beacon or something.” The whole aura thing still didn’t make sense to him… then again very little of the whole situation made sense. “De… Antares said that going ‘off world’ would be best but since she is still healing and everything, figured that it might be best if my first experience with it would be with you.” Dessie hadn’t quite put it that way but that's what it boiled down to. “I just need to text her real fast,” something he did rapidly, fingers flying over the device. After his last phone was smashed he felt more secure having a fast way of calling emergency services if need be.

“So, um…. How do we get there anyway? Do I have to try that whole knight thing first?” It was rather hard to keep so much information straight. Also didn’t help that he was rather sleep deprived since the baby was still waking every few hours. God, the one thing he desperately was looking forward to was Sarah sleeping through the night. He thought he was used to functioning off of little sleep. It was such a massive difference when it was a baby crying versus staying up to cram for a test. So, so, different.

Ida smiled as she watched Illyria greeting the Page, feeling all warm inside. While she didn't expect the Mauvian to disapprove of any Ida page, it was still nice to know she did approve. (Plus, she was super cute when she did it)

Ida nodded at Sigirya's response. "Yeah, everyone gives off a power signature when they're powered up. The higher in rank you are, the bigger or stronger the signature is. With practice, you can learn to tell the difference between the different factions, which can be really useful. You can find people on your side, and avoid the ones that might be dangerous. I highly recommend practicing it, when you have the time. Sometimes I find it helpful to close my eyes and concentrate on... things that aren't my feelings, if that makes sense? Its not a precise sense, it doesn't pinpoint where someone is, but its still helpful."

Falling into mentoring was surprisingly easy, once she started. It just rolled out naturally, like she'd never stopped.

"As far as getting there, I'm going to teleport us." Ida said as she offered a hand out to the young man, opening her other to pull her phone from subspace. "It'll be easier for me to take all three of us. When you start out, its hard to bring people along and pretty tiring. Senshi teleport by using their senshi phones."

She held it up to show him. "Its something the Mauvian's make for us. Knights can do it by concentrating on their weapon and saying their oath. I can write it down for you, but everyone I met has sort of just... known that oath from the start, if they to focus on it. All we have to do is make contact with each other for me to take us. Illyria has her own teleportation charm now, so she can go alone, but it really is easy for me to take all of us."

Illyria felt like context had to be added to this scenario before they all were transported and she was gentle as she stood on her hind paws to brace herself against Sigiriya's legs before her voice broke a small silence, "there is one thing to add and that is a Mauvian like myself can suppress or muffle energy signatures of those in nearby proximity should the need arise for secrecy but we shouldn't need that up on Ida."

As Ida brought out her senshi phone Illyria dropped back down so that all four paws rested on the earth before retreating back to Ida's side. Her gaze never left Sigiriya and she gave the Page a knowing look before her tail twitched and almost playfully did she clamber up Ida's side, like she would a tree, making sure all the while not to injure the Orchid senshi. Her usual comfortable place to hang out was in the crook of Ida's shoulder and she would situate herself there once more if given the opportunity. But for this teleportation, would it be easier to be held? Illyria paused before thinking about positions and everything before sighing, "Where is the most practical place to be for this trip? I can easily stay in place on your shoulder which would free up your other hand for Sigiriya to hold."

Her gaze was ever watchful as she waited for Ida to figure out the mechanics needed for this trip and nestled her tiny form into her most favorite place to be: the space where shoulder met neck ... a warm, comforting weight if one ever needed one.

“Yup! I don’t quite understand it logically but then again here I am standing with a cat that can talk and a lady with wings about to go to space using honest to god magic. Pretty sure logic went right out the window.” He smiled, a bit shakily since it was all so very new to him, and shrugged. He would have to give that whole thing a go when he was able, knowing when things were heading his way or around him would be nice. Especially since he planned on being more active now that he knew that Dessie was a part of this whole ‘war’. “Neat! Is there anything that us normies can do or is it only you guardians that can do it?” He asked the cat who was currently looking up at him from his feet.

Sig took Ida’s offered hand and couldn’t help it, “Beam me up Scotty.” He was a nerd after all. He had gotten the rundown on the senshi phones and even their pens, sadly as a knight he didn’t get any of that neat kit… just a ring and a weapon as far as he remembered. Then again he might have missed something, it was all sort of blurring together. “I can lend an arm if it helps,” He offered to Ida and Illyria. Holding on to the cat during transport wasn’t a big deal for him. Not like he was allergic or anything.

Ida placed a steadying hand on the cat's side as she crawled up to settle on her shoulders. Her weight was warm and comforting, something known and enjoyed.

"You're good right there." Ida said as she wrapped her fingers around Sigiriya's. It felt... exciting and anxious to be doing this. Bringing the very first Ida knight to Ida with her. Were there others out there, ones she hadn't met? Had they been to Ida without her? Her asteroid felt so much larger now, thinking it could contain Wonders and Knights. Almost overwhelming.

Sig got a grin for his reference, some of her anxious energy released with the expression. "Its hard, but not impossible for regular people to help, but its not very safe. People who have powers like mine are a lot stronger than normal people, since the magic enhances that. It would be like trying to face off against someone bigger and stronger than you... who also has magical powers to teleport and other things. Not very safe."

"Alright... here we go." Ida said as she pressed the button on her phone. The world moved around her in a blur, giving a sense of movement while standing still. Then the blur cleared and what surrounded them was completely different from the park where they had started.

Warm sun streamed down on the field of tall grass they stood in, the leaves brushing their hips. A soft breeze brought the smell of flowers hidden in the grass and the faint music of windchimes somewhere nearby. Massive trees threw shade along the ground not so far away, their tops so high up they looked tiny from here. Around each tree was a wide, curving staircase that lead to landings and large, arched door ways and windows.

For Ida, arriving came with a sense of coming home and some bit of tension she never even noticed left her as she relaxed. The energies inside of her balanced out, bringing more relief, and she let her breath out in a soft sigh.

"Welcome to Ida." She said softly as she released Sigiriya's hand.

Illyria had nestled happily in the crook of Ida's shoulder as final preparations were made for their departure. As the world shimmered around them and then went out of focus for the smallest amount of time did Illyria find herself gripping Ida's fuku tightly before relaxing. There was the typical sense of momentarily needing to adjust ones bearings when the rolling fields of Ida appeared before them. Taking her cue from Ida herself Illyria straightened a little before taking a moment to jump off from her perch before winding around Ida's feet and then looking up and further into the distance.

Almost as if came naturally to her, and maybe it was becoming more natural, did Illyria shed her feline form for the easier mobility afforded to her bipedal human form. It definitely made a difference in the field to be able to not have to work to get through the long grass. As much as she wanted to grab Sigiriya's hand and direct him around the place Illyria held back, wanting this moment to be between Ida and Sigiriya first. It didn't stop her from giving a response to Sigiriya's earlier comment though, "you asked if there were others that could mask energy signatures before. So far I think it's just us Guardian Cats that have that ability."

With a fluid grace Illyria reached down into the grasses at her feet and plucked the smallest of blooms before fastening it amongst her curly hair before tossing a smile back towards Ida. She'd never tire of how peaceful Ida's homeworld was.

He was still processing what Ida had said about helping out. Sig got the feeling that it would be like a toddler helping an adult cook… not very useful but still sort of appreciated, at least until it wasn’t. Now the question was, was he a toddler or an adult? Or maybe the young child who knew enough not to cut themselves but still needs the supervision and assistance of the more experienced cook? Probably more the later then the former, at least for now. But not for long as far as he was concerned. Any further thoughts on that were quite thoroughly and firmly erased from his mind.

One moment he was on earth and the next… he wasn’t. Green eyes blinked rapidly, trying to clear the sunspots from his vision even as his head tried to process the moving-not moving feeling he had just gone through. Like being on a moving sidewalk going full tilt before coming to a complete and sudden halt at the end. It was disorienting to say the least as far as his equilibrium was concerned.

By the time his vision fully cleared there wasn’t anything he could say. It was…. “Beautiful,” he practically whispered as he took in the surroundings. The grass filled field, the flowers, the trees, the buildings that hung in the trees like ornaments… it was all so very different from anything he had seen before in his life. It was as if a painting of some fantastical tree house complex in the daylight came to life right in front of him. That or he stepped through the painting and into its reality. His feeling of being in a type of wonderland was exacerbated when the voice of the cat had him absently glancing her way only to see the cat-girl he had seen before rather than the cat he was expecting. Once again he took to just blinking as his brain recalibrated even as he responded with a rather uninspired, ‘oh’.

It took a few moments but he finally got over his shock over everything. “I don’t know what I expected but I’ve got to say…” He gestured to the scene before him with a wave, “this is much more then I imagined.”

The senshi watched his face with shy eagerness, wanting to catch every change of expression as he looked around himself for the first time. It gave her a rush of warm feeling, seeing the wonder there. Wonder for this wonderful, beautiful place she loved so much. She was so pleased she could hardly stand it.

Sigiriya was an Idan knight... and he thought Ida was beautiful.

"Its come a long way." She said with a small smile, winding her fingers together over her stomach. "It used to be just the grass... but its recovered a lot over the years. The trees came back, and all the flowers, and now I've even found some animals and bugs. Its well on its way to being really alive again."

Ida's eyes followed his, moving out over the waving grass to the dark, cool shadows under the trees, dappled in sunshine. It was hard to see the glowing bunches of flowers over the door ways or the winding paths between the buildings, but she knew they were there.

"Your wonder is here, somewhere. I'm not really sure where. I haven't found anything that looks much like a wonder... but maybe they're all shielded from me until their knight comes. That would make sense. Do you want to look around? I started a garden over there, by the tower were I used to live in my last life." Ida said, pointing towards the tree that towered a bit taller than the rest. The faint sound of wind chimes came to them, carried on a soft, gentle breeze. She offered a smile to Illyria too, seeing her in her human form. Reaching, she caught up her hand and squeezed it gently, sharing a little of her excitement and pleasure with her bonded.

Illyria smiled at the sensation of Ida's hand reaching for hers even as she took in the conversation between Sigiriya and Ida. It was simply enough to be here, on Ida, watching history be made that the Mauvian was grateful for. Her own hand squeezed back in a reflexive gesture before she took in the sight of Sigiriya's gaze of wonder. Her own mind flashed back to when she too had come to Ida for the first time and she could sympathize with the young man's astonishment. It had been a momentous outing for her first trip, but she didn't think that Sigiriya would suddenly change forms on them. Though it would have been an entertaining thing to see.

There was a level of contentment that one could find on this world. Even as Ida mentioned Wonders not being found yet did Illyria feel the smallest thrill that there would be more Idan knights to be found soon. Ida deserved only the biggest magical family possible. Sigiriya would just be the first of many. Illyria would view any knight of Ida ... as a member of her own growing family too. She brightened a little at that thought.

"I believe that all these Wonders will be wonderful to experience when they are revealed to you Ida," Illyria glanced to her bonded partner with a wistful expression, "I just know it."

A further delicate squeezing of the hand that held hers and Illyria fell silent. She truly was content to just watch this moment from the wings of the stage that she imagined the three of them to be on. She'd not physically leave Ida's side to leave them to talk alone, but she could allow her attention to wander just a little.

Sig absently nodded along as Ida talked about the plantlife, still taking everything in. It kind of boggled his mind that he was in space. On a completely different ecosystem in space. He knew what he had been told, he understood what had been explained, and he logically couldn’t refute his own change but it was still just so odd to be standing on a completely different world over a million miles away from Earth. Just… bloody insane.

“I’ve got to admit that I googled Sigiriya but it's hard to connect the place on Earth with finding a place like that up here,” He gestured to the grasslands and trees. The Wiki page mentioned a big rock plateau and a castle and other stuff that seemed rather illogical on Earth let alone on Ida. Then again Wiki said Ida was a dusty, rocky, asteroid and what he was currently seeing was definitely none of those descriptors, technically only in the sense that there were rocks and dirt. “Yeah,” He corrected himself when Ida asked if he wanted to look around, “Yes please. I would love to learn more in general about everything. I got a run down by Antares and Maia and Shang but well… It's always good to get another take on things and honestly after a while everything just kind of mushed together.” He sheepishly shrugged

Ida smiled at Illyria and Sigirya, feeling a blossoming warm at finally having people she could share her world with. People who might care about it just as much as she did, some day. The asteroid had always felt like it missed having people on it, missed cultivating and nurturing life. Now that life was finally returning to it.

"Come on. Lets to sit in the garden and we can talk. I know this is a lot to take in, so I'm happy to answer any questions you have." She said as she stepped forward, beckoning the other two to join her.

A lot to talk about, but something she was very happy to.
