Meloetta ended up getting some good chuckles out of the humans and their sad displays at the Squash Smash, until another game caught her eye. She wandered over to an area set up with quite a few large buckets of water with red and green apples floating in them. Oh, apples! I wonder if I get to keep any that I catch.. She soon learned the rules, and was more than willing to give it a go (especially since it didn't involve sticking her hands in anything weird). With her hands behind her back, Meloetta ended up getting two apples, much to her surprise! And with it, she was also rewarded four tickets! All right! I like this game! With her new tickets and two apples in tow, the fairy-costumed pokemon skipped back to find Dallas.
Dallas hadn't left the Squash Smash stand. He had hoped that watching Temperance completely whiff her strike on her target would help him get over his frustration and embarrassment, but he still wasn't quite over it. "Aw, don't get all bent outta shape, Mr. Skeleton! Besides, you're just skin and bones after all!" The worker was definitely just having some good old-fashioned fun, but it wasn't so fun for the hothead Dallas. Without saying a word, he cut in front of somebody else as they went to take a mallet to a large pumpkin, and threw his best punch at it. "Hayaku Shineya!" When his fist connected, the squash was obliterated, splattering the attendant with gourd guts. He yelped in surprise, and sheepishly handed over a stack of ten tickets. "G-good job, Mr. Skeleton..." Dallas snatched them up, and glared at the attendant before turning back to Temperance and returning Meloetta. "Gotta say, that was actually kinda fun, now that I got the hang of it. While PJ was making friends, Ralward was staying close by, eavesdropping and minding the puppy pokemon, while still earning tickets. He was casually monitoring the general area, actually, feeling out for any hostile emotions, any possible threats to him, PJ, or their trainer, wherever he was, and also... any signs of their trainer. He wasn't worried, Jay could generally take care of himself, and he had some pokemon with him still, but it would probably still be a good idea to just... keep a monitoring watch out for him. At the very least... Rawlly could only hold so many tickets, and eventually, he would really need to hand them over to Jay.

It wasn't all to surprising when Dallas suddenly rushed forward and once more took a whack at smashing a rather large Pumpkin, this time however with his fist. Temperance gave him a smirk as he returned folding her arms loosely under her chest. "It does seem like a game right up your alley." Temperance replied. "Ninjas are known more for stealth than strength." An attendant muttered, using witty mimicry to coax contenders into trying the game. This time, directed at Temperance, it worked. "Okay, I'll try again." She mentioned. Stepping forward, the blonde found a fairly super-sized squash and went to punch it. This time she met her target, but instead of smashing it, it slid from the table and landed on another squash below, smashing it. "Th-that should count." Temperance pointed, the attended shook his head. "Sorry, miss Ninja, That wasn't the squash you chose, perhaps your ninja senses are just not strong enough?" The attendant teased, reaching down to pick up a palm-sized squash. "Why not try this one?" Temperance pouted something fierce, turned her nose to the man. "On second thought, this game isn't that fun. Let's find something else." Temperance stated sharply.
Meanwhile, Azalev had wandered back to the Pumpkin Search game, wanting to try his fin at the game himself. He wasn't quite in the mood to smash anything anyway. The lucky penguin picked out a decent sized Pumpkin and searched it rather thoroughly, surprised in fact that he found the inside of a pumpkin rather tasty, seeds included. To his surprise as well, he found a baggy with ten tickets in it. Eager to show off his prize, the penguin swiftly returned to where Temperance and Dallas were.

Rose beamed when Reina commented on the uniqueness of Zadie. She loved all of her pokemon and thought of them all as unique, so it was always nice to hear someone agree with her. The charmander looked up a bit bashfully at the comment before having turned her attention to the cutely dressed Snivy. "Thank you. Someone very special gave it to me a long time ago." Zadie replied graciously. The lizard blinked as Anubis stepped forward eagerly, seeming to want praise for his costume too. She tilted her head a bit, trying to figure out what his outfit had to do with his namesake. "I don't think I understand your costume besides it matching your trainer's. I'm sorry. But it still looks nice." she finally answered apologetically. Having not traveled much, she wasn't very worldly. She covered her snout, a bit embarrassed that she didn't know what he was supposed to resemble.
Fynx was relieved to hear that Reina knew this carnival well. That meant there was very, very little chance of it being something terrible. So most of her concerns about keeping an eye out melted away as the group hurried off to the midway. "There's a lot of different kinds of games. It reminds me of that fair - do you remember, Rose?" Fynx commented, looking around with her ears perked and tail raised. Rose was like an excited child when she cast her gaze about all the games. "Yeah! You were still just a little fennekin back then!" she exclaimed in response to her starter. Zadie shared in her trainer's awe, though she was a little more reserved. Kenjiro sat down quietly in the back of on of the tents trying not to draw any attention to himself. “I'm zo glad I didn't vear heels." He took a few moments to collect himself and observe his surroundings. That last stunt won't work the same here, if we cut the power we might attract the attention of those ghastly running around. He looked at the equipment he had been hauling around and sighed."No good." After making sure no one was watching him he pushed everything underneath the table. " Drac, be a dear and see if you can go find a microphone."
A woman stood awkwardly near the exit of Misdrevus Midway, a megaphone in her hands. It buzzed in annoyance as she pressed the button. "Oh, zis is quite loud." She spoke in a slow, welcoming voice, an unrecognizable foreign accent thickening her voice. She wore along white dressed flowed with ruffles to the ground forming like a flower around her. Over the dress she wore a cobalt cloak, it was adorned with various constellations dotted and connected with a dull yellow. Her head was covered with the hood from her cloak, and her face a veil. Her brown hair, and deep dull brown eyes seemed glimmer against the lights of the arcade machines.
"After much of ze delay, I vould like to announce zat ze fortune teller, zat's me he he, iz open for the beezniss." She gave a soft chuckle and spoke away from the megaphone "Beezniss iz zuch a funny vord." Pushing down on the megaphone again it buzzed once more. "I do all manner of readingz. Anak'su continued to smile rather shyly, even as Anubis butt in, eagerly displaying his own costume. He was quickly shot down when the freckled Charmander admitted she didn't know whom he was talking about. 'Quelle? You don't know who I am? Why I'm Anubis, the god of the de- Oh, well, point is I look just like him.' Anubis cut himself short when he quickly thought of something mid-sentence. Perhaps it wasn't the best ideas to tell someone who certainly seemed rather timid and not really versed in Egyptian Mythology that he was basically dressed as an Egyptian Grim Reaper. Waving a paw, as if brushing the conversation away. 'But yea, I guess I am also dressed up like Reina.' he smiled.

Well, Anubis' opinion was rather bias, since the last few times he'd actually been around a carnival game it was busting the goons for illegally obtained goods and fixing the games so they could pick who would win or lose. Reina was somewhat of the same bias, figuring she'd keep her eyes out as best she could to avoid the fixed games. Thankfully her costume was so unlike her normal attire, that it seemed some of the attendants she knew, knew her as a cop didn't recognize her. Pulled back to the fellow trainer she was momentarily traveling with, the Egyptian stepped forward, curiosity in her gaze. "The games over there are good for your plushy needs, but I might advise the games over there, they offer tickets, which can be exchanged for prizes." Of course Reina wasn't aware that Rose attended an event previously that did the same thing. If there was one thing she knew about the ticket games was that they most certainly were luck based. Still, one couldn't be to careful.
Taking the initiative, Reina stepped forward to the closest ticket-giving game they were nearby, this one being the Squash Smash game. "This one is pretty hard, which you wouldn't think so given their real squash." Reina stated as she picked out a super sized one. Grabbing a mallet, Reina gave it a good swing. It connected and did a bit of damage, but otherwise, the large gourd was still in tact. An attendant came over having Reina 5 tickets. "See. Why not don't you give it a shot?"
Back at the main entrance, Anka was still at the Pumpkin Search game. She was given the chance for another try, and just like last time she managed to find a baggie with 6 tickets in it. Storing the tickets with the rest, the ghost decided perhaps now was a good time to venture off and explore a bit more. She could sense Reina wasn't quiet as nearby as before anyway.

He sighed, and stepped away from the game, keeping his cool. "How about you give it a shot there, pal? Maybe you can beat this cheap garbage game."

She was glad Dallas concurred about finding something else to do, so the disgruntled princess followed her companion through the games until they came across a rope climbing game fashioned like a Spider's web. It reminded her of the wobbly rope ladders back home, which she did see plenty of here as well, though this one seemed far more simple and easier than the rope ladders. After watching Dallas get only a short distance she felt maybe she had this game pegged wrong. "Okay, Well as that attended pointed out, Ninja are not meant for strength, we have dexterity." She chuckled, stepping forward. Taking her time, she got used to the bouncy ness of the web, which lead her to be a bit more reckless. In the end she got about twice as far as Dallas, but not quite to the end of the web before falling onto the hay below. As she returned to Dallas brushing off the hay that stuck to her costume she smiled playfully. "Well, I got further than you, that has to mean something?" She stated. "Want to try again and see if you can't beat my distance?" It was then her stomach made a rather unpleasant and slightly embarrassing gurgle sound. "...Or maybe we can get something to eat? I smell something good nearby, I've never had carnival food before though."

"Don't be discouraged, Maybe let me pick out a pumpkin for you?" Seemed he was having better luck that the songstress was. After a bit of searching, the penguin came across two Pumpkins that sat side-by-side, they looked almost like twins. Same size, same colour. Picking them up, he returned to the Songstress and set one of the pumpkins down before her, quickly digging into his own after doing so. With luck, the Penguin pulled out a baggy with six tickets inside it. "Less than last time, but still a good bundle." He noted, looking to Meloetta to see if she'd taken up his offer, and if she fared well.

Walking into the midway, the first thing to catch Mitsu's eye were all the other games that littered the area. There were so many, and he could even play them without risking damage to his costume. But, he'd come to the section of the carnival because of a Honedge in a helmet and a strange Houndour; which he was very interested in locating. Of course, his Pokemon wanted to play the games again, so first he had to stop so they could try to break a pumpkin and look around for tickets. Both of which didn't really yield much reward, but they had fun regardless, so it didn't bother any of them. With the games out of the way for now, Mitsu turned his attention back to looking for the pair. It was more crowded here, so it wasn't easy to spot them, but he would manage somehow.

It didn't take very long at all to spot the Pokemon that had his attention and once he had them in sight, Mitsu walked towards them. They seemed to be leisurely moving around the carnival; not looking for anything, like their trainer, as someone would expect. Before long, Mitsu was nearly right behind them. Something the Houndour didn't take kindly to, turning swiftly and spewing a large collection of embers at him. Mitsu backed off - mostly to save his outfit - and held up his hands as the Honedge turned. To his surprise, the helmet that had been mounted on the sword Pokemon's handle levitated, moving to be near the growling canine. That was a Pokemon he hadn't ever seen before. It made some kind of humming sound that seemed to calm the Houndour."It's okay. I'm not going to hurt you. Promise."Houndour looked at him before looking at the four Pokemon that accompanied Mitsu, clearly no believing his words. Fair enough. Mitsu reached into his bag - carefully - and grabbed the four balls before returning his team. He didn't know why he was driven to make peace with the Houndour when he could just walk away, but something was urging him to do so.
Wedwa intuition probably. His people had strong instincts when it came to Pokemon they should and shouldn't interact with."See? I'm not here to threaten you. I'm just curious is all."Not being surrounded by Pokemon calmed the Houndour, allowing Mitsu to kneel to be at his level. Surprisingly, the Honedge wasn't reacting at all to him like the other two were."Are you three alone? Where's your trainer?""We have no trainer."The voice startled Mitsu, causing him to fall back onto his bottom as he looked around. The helmet hopped over to him and it took only a few seconds to realize it had spoken to him the same way Mizu could; telepathy."I wasn't expecting that....Does that mean you're a Psychic or a Ghost?"

Lana waited patiently for Ducky to explain his situation with his estranged friend, frowning as he explained the situation. "Well I don't mean to intrude, but sounds like he's a bad friend, and ya shouldn't waste yer time with him." She insisted. "I dunno much about the situation, but if that's really the case at surface level that's what I'd say. I know that might be hard cause ya've known each other a long time, but people change. If he's pushin' ya away an' treatin' ya like tauros dung then ya really should think about whether he's worth tryin' to be friends. I'm sure there's plenty of people who would love ta spend time with ya." She insisted. Of course, she knew she was giving advice on a matter that she didn't know a lot about. She was sure Ducky had more complex reasons for wanting to maintain this friendship regardless of the way Vince treated him, and even for why Vince was pushing Ducky away, but still. "That bein' said, if ya really think he's worth fightin' for, maybe there's a reason he's pushin' ya away? Them stubborn types can kinda be like that. Wanna go off and handle things on their own because they don't wanna drag people into their problems. It's kinda like a matter of pride sometimes. Wanna handle things themselves cause if they can't it makes 'em feel weak. In that case ya just gotta knock some sense into 'em, and that's my specialty." She insisted with a grin, punching a fist into her hand. "You jus' point him out an' I'll give him a good thumpin' an' tell him to stop being an idiot. What'd y'all argue about anyway? I mean, if ya don't mind my askin'." She inquired curiously.
It was difficult to accept that Katsu was a solgaleo, but once she got over her initial shock she could see that Ducky and Lucina were being 100% serious, so Lana slowly and reluctantly took their word for it. The more she thought about it, the more sense it made she supposed. "Kalos? Ah." Lana couldn't help but make a face, her bias clear in her expression. Kalos was bad enough but near a big city too? She was beginning to regret suggesting to go. Still, Ducky needed cheering up and a fair was the way to do it, so she'd suck it up and give it a chance. They even planned on using Katsu to take them to the fair. Daiki seemed disappointed that the news wasn't really new, but Lana was more distracted with staring at Katsu with newfound awe. Of course, they couldn't travel by giant legendary lion in the open so they moved out of the public eye. Lana returned Abby and sure enough, once Daiki was returned, Katsu's true form was revealed, and Lana breathed sharply. Not that she didn't believe them but seeing it with her own eyes just provided further undeniable proof.
As Ducky climbed up so casually on Katsu's back, Lana couldn't help but continue to stare in disbelief, overwhelmed with emotion. She hesitated and then bowed deeply. "E kala mai iaʻu i ke akua o ka lā....!" She sputtered. "Please forgive me great one. With your permission, I would be honored to ride upon your back." She spoke properly to honor Katsu's presence and properly practice ho’oponopono to restore the balance. She only prayed that he didn't feel slighted by her informality before. Afterwards, she let Ducky help her up onto Katsu and held tight as he instructed before they flew through a portal.
Once they emerged, Lana found that they were amongst a sea of orange and brown leaves, which was the last thing Lana expected. "Oh wow... You sure we're in the right place? I thought the fair was supposed to be near a city." It was beautiful though, she wasn't complaining. Sure enough though, in the distance, she heard the gleeful screams of children and fanfare, so she slipped off of Katsu and began walking towards the noise. Was this really Kalos? It felt like home, like one of the festivals they'd put up in town for the fall. Well, minus the big carnival rides. Still, there were so many games and activities everywhere that Lana wasn't sure where to begin. "Haha c'mon Duck!" She started with a web crawl first since that was the closest. She got across most of it pretty well but she was over excited and ended up falling off near the end, but she still got a fair ammount of tickets from making it most of the way across.

Zadie tilted her head as Anubis started to explain his outfit. She still didn't really understand where he was coming from with all this, but he seemed to change his mind in the middle of his explanation. "Oh, so a mythological character then? Interesting~" she commented, walking along with the other pokemon as their trainers moved along.
Rose wasn't sure what games to start with, so she simply followed Reina over to the games that earn tickets. "Ooooh! So these games can end up getting me some useful items." she commented, deciding to try her hand at the pumpkin search. She picked one small pumpkin, reaching in and cringing at the gooey substance inside to pull out a baggy with twenty tickets in it. She then tried the Squash smash like Reina had, but hardly even left a dent in the super sized squash. "Heh, better luck next time, huh?" Rose smiled, ready to try more games.

Ducky listened to Lana's advice on his situation with Vince, but didn't have much to say. As much as it probably made sense to just stop trying being friends with the other male, the Suanni just couldn't leave it at that. It was definitely a complicated feeling for him, but he wasn't willing to just let go of Vince as a friend after all this time, despite how he was constantly treated. Considering her suggestions for why Vince was so stubborn, Ducky quietly nodded. It sort of made sense a little, but then it also didn't. It felt more like Vince would rather not have help at all, not even himself handling it. As if he'd rather just suffer alone. He couldn't help but chuckle as she insisted that he needs some sense knocked into him, that he should point him out to her so she can handle it. "Vince... Well, he's throwing his chance away at happiness with a girl I can tell he really likes because he is convinced that parting ways with her will keep her safe. It just doesn't sit right with me.... and is actually a more complicated ordeal." Ducky sighed, giving her the short answer on what they argued about. He knew it was so much more than that, but he didn't feel like going into detail.
They finished up and headed out to Katsu and Daiki, and upon the reveal of Katsu's real identity, Lana started muttering in a different language. Dakota didn't understand what was going on, but Katsu seemed familiar with this. The lion did tilt his head a bit at her as she asked for forgiveness and permission to ride upon his back. "You have done nothing wrong, but consider all is forgiven. And you are more than welcome to ride upon my back." Katsu replied. The Solgaleo was a bit amused and slightly confused, but accepted the gesture nonetheless. Once they were secure, they were off to the carnival through a wormhole.
They came out the other end on what seemed to be a nature trail in Kalos, the carnival before them. The Solgaleo laid down to make hopping down easier for his passengers. Ducky hopped down, offering help if needed before letting Daiki back out of his ball. The Zoroark resumed his illusion on himself and Katsu as they headed towards the carnival. "Kalos is quite vast. It might be hard to see here, but above the treetops you might be able to spot the top of the central tower of Lumiose in the distance." Lucina commented, but quickly had to catch up as Lana led the way into the carnival.
Ducky couldn't help but feel a bit of joy creep up on him as he stepped into what appeared to be the midway of the fair. Lana already started playing games, so while she did that, he tried a few games himself. He wasn't very lucky, though, but it was still pretty fun, trying to smash the super size squash, and finding tickets in some pumpkin filled with peeled grapes.

While Dakota had gone to follow Lana's example and start playing games, Daiki and Katsu moved to try some games themselves. Well, mostly Daiki. Katsu could only watch, due to his size despite the illusion.
