Kiana's golden orbs watched the healer, a small smile of amusement coming to her lips at the musical way she spoke. She could only imagine it helped in her jobs as healer and omega, it definitely put her more at ease. She took the leaves the purple hued wolf gave her and began to chew them. True to the healer's words, the leaves tasted bitter, but she didn't spit them out. Her nose wrinkled slightly, to indicate her disgust, but nothing more. She watched the other female begin preparing something, before she felt a tail being wrapped around her. Turning her head in Rothar's direction, she gave a look he would understand as gratitude. She knew he had no plans on leaving her side, unless he needed to, wanting to see just what this healer could do.

"What is what you gave me to chew on do?"she managed to ask the omega through the leaves. She winced slightly as the other worked on getting the wood out of her wound, while also putting the salve on it. She thought it felt weird, but she knew it would do the job of patching her up. She leaned her other side against Rothar, allowing herself to wait patiently as the healer worked.

x K ᴇ s ᴛ ʀ ᴇ ʟxxx allowed his muscles to tense as the Shaman lifted her head, relaxing slightly when she showed submission. Hard to tell if pain will cause someone to lash out upon contact. He opened his mouth to speak when he heard soft steps approaching. Kestrel lifted his head, nostrils scenting the air. He nodded at the white and red Delta who approached, flicking an elongated ear at her bark of greeting. It was good Kaalia had announced her presence; the Heir's attention was being pulled in multiple directions, and the Voice was beginning to whisper in his mind. _How will you know if one of these intend to harm you, hmm? Perhaps we should back off and take care of our own Pack._ The white Alpha let out a hard snort, shaking his head in irritation. I will offer aid to those who need it, so leave me to my thoughts. Surprised when he heard no response from the Voice, Kestrel returned his attention to the Shaman.

He felt her hold his gaze for a few moments, showing the Heir that while she was indeed showing respect, it was under no circumstances a weakness. Despite the solemnity of the situation, Kestrel felt his lips tug upwards at the corners. He was alerted to Riptide's scent approaching from behind, and the Alpha pivoted on his hind paws, nosing the Beta male's shoulder. "Morabelle, Kiana, this is my Beta Riptide." He caught the male's questioning glance, and worked a reply into his next words. "You two are welcome to join us until we reach Lunaris; the more there are, the better equipped we'll be to handle things." Kestrel's tone was inviting, but not overly friendly. "We've a few Pups who could use all the eyes watching as can be spared, and traveling and hunting will go smoother with a decent number."

Saying nothing more, the Alpha padded back down the hill, shifting his weight as he navigated the slope. Seeing Rainclaw and Jaryn at the bank of the river, Kestrel nodded at them, directing the Shaman's and Guardian's attention to their presence. "Head over to where they are, and cross to the opposite bank." His ears kept flicking behind and to his right, hearing what sounded like the footsteps of an adult and a few Pups coming from some distance off. His pupil-less eyes narrowed as he tried to make out their shapes, and after a moment, he saw that one of the Pups was injured. With a loud, strong bark, the Heir leaped forward, closing the distance between them in fast, agile bounds. "Well-met, Delta. I'm Kestrel. Seems like you could use some assistance." A statement, not a question. Without waiting for a response, the Alpha scooped up the bleeding Pup by the scruff of his neck, setting him gently on his back. Ensuring the youngling had a mouthful of Kestrel's mane-like ruff between his teeth, the Alpha trotted forward, motioning for the light-colored Delta to follow him. "Come this way. There's quite a few of us not far off, along with another group of Pups."

Kestrel padded back towards the new river, head swiveling as he tried to memorize this new terrain, knowing that a knowledge of the land would doubtless help him in some future time. As they neared the Vurfang clustered by the edge of the water, the Heir called out to his Healer who was currently crossing by way of the tree. "Rainclaw! I've a Pup here with a laceration." Golden eyes took in the situation before the male continued speaking. "I'm going to send someone across next with him, and I need you to tend to the little one as soon as they're safe." The Alpha clenched his teeth, quickly assessing the group of Vurfang around him. He figured it would be safer to send the Pups across in ones and twos with each adult, rather than risk them crossing all at once. "Let's get these younglings over to the other bank as quick as we can. Each of you, take one or two of them over with you, and I'll watch from here in case anyone takes a swim." Kestrel knew that he could get to someone quickly if they lost their footing and went into the water, but he hoped it wouldn't come to that.

So, if Rainclaw is a Scout, who's your Healer then? Riptide? Or is the Healer an NPC wolf?

.... Giving Rainclaw a straight look, Jaryn internally sighed. He could swim JUST fine, and find a safe path. Oh well. Even if the pups weren't the other Delta's, she had custody of them. I'm not a mere pupsitter...I CAN do OTHER things, and better than most would think... the russet wolf thought, in discomfort at his current, and unusual, situation. I feel like an old grey she-wolf... But as Rainclaw moved ahead to brave the river's waters, following Kallan, the pups looked up at the last adult wolf left with them, shivering and with fear in their wide eyes. Jaryn exhaled quietly. Come on, stay close Jaryn told the pups in a calm, quiet voice. Most of them relaxed, but they all still shivered, the one pup who had 'adopted' him staying even closer. Keeping his focus primarily on the pups...Vurfang future...Jaryn followed at the pups' pace after Rainclaw. Well, maybe a little faster; he wasn't used to SLOW moving, and they WERE kind of out in the open of a changed word...

Still uncomfortable and a touch uneasy from the situation of looking after the pups, without doing his duties and using his skills as a scout, Jaryn kept the pups together. And had them stay close to him, almost under him. They didn't quite fit, otherwise they WOULD be under him. The mud wasn't dripping, and with his bodyheat radiating, it was probably more comfortable than getting even wetter away from the leaner, slightly smaller adult.

The white Alpha was there at the river as they traveled, and Jaryn gave him a pensive look for a second. If Kestrel looked at him, Jaryn would meet his eyes, raise an eyebrow, then glance away; not weakness, but at least not challenging. The mismatched eyes so strange would seem...to be weighing Kestrel. Wary to trust and follow, but obviously Jaryn's mind took in what he saw and he worked out his own conclusions without following the masses. Skeptical, testing things, that was Jaryn's quiet way.

As Kestrel spoke about the injured pup, it may not seem like Jaryn noticed, but his body held a new kind of edgy energy. I can take two across Jaryn commented calmly, eyes on the river as the pups huddled close to him, the one that seemed to like him leaning against his leg. Jaryn allowed a single twitch-swish of his tail at how unnatural it felt for him, being surrounded by this many wolves after so much time alone... But the mismatched eyes were keen, calculating as they studied the river. Not an easy swim, but... He could do it. He had to... And it wasn't like it'd be the first time Jaryn had been cast adrift in freezing, tumultuous chaos from the depths. Not now...it's not the time. I mourned for their loss while I wandered. Focus is for the here and now Jaryn thought, eyes closing for just a moment before he continued to stare at the river. He was just a Delta, near an Alpha and a Beta, not to mention the strange two wolves...all were bigger than him, and looked strong. Jaryn lifted a single paw and placed it back down, not liking being surrounded by so many large, dominant wolves. He didn't fear them, but Jaryn had met some Betas and Alphas before that had seen him as rebellious and defiant instead of properly subservient to their presence. He had his own mind, and Jaryn didn't just blindly follow the majority of wolves. That was all.

He would be obedient and be a good Delta, however he refused to be mindlessly subservient...and Jaryn was used to acting, while on his own; both as a Scout, reporting to HIS Alpha, and while a wanderer. Not this nerve-stringing waiting for others to call the shots. One of the pups whined, one of Jaryn's ears flicking quickly at the sound, a tiny rumble coming from him. Not a growl, and it didn't leave his throat, but it was a fairly deep sound. The pup quieted, actually leaning against one of Jaryn's legs where the russet wolf was standing over the pups, face pretty much expressionless as he kept an eye on their surroundings. And the pups, a silent but calm presence among the uncertainty and worry...or even, fear...of the other adults.

OoC :: Jaryn isn't growling, it's just sort of like a wolfy purr in a way. Just so people don't get confused and get mad at Jaryn for the wrong reasons rolleyes

The idea is that the pup is comforted, not frightened. Just putting this up there, since I've seen people misunderstand my posts already x_x

Morabelle looked over as she heard the loud bark. She looked the dark male beta over and nodded her head in a gesture of respect but not weakness. She might be injured but she would not show weakness. She listened to what he said about there being pups and there were people watching them. She sighed in relief hearing about pups surviving. Thank the white alpha for there being pups who had been saved and survived. She hoped there were others and prayed to the white alpha for it. She dipped her head in relief and then picked it up again looking around. She was exhausted but needed to keep up with them and make it to where they were. She would not allow any pups to be harmed. She would do whatever was needed to keep any pups safe. She had saved those she could but wasn't sure they were alive. She hoped they were and hoped that one that had distracted her had been found in that large tree and was safe. She had noticed how the alpha relaxed a bit when she showed the submission. She wasn't stupid enough to challenge an alpha when injured and she didn't want to be an alpha. She wanted to be exactly what she was. A beta shaman. Nothing more and nothing less, being a shaman brought her joy and made her very happy.

She nodded her head at the slight lifting of the lips she noticed. It wa good to see he could smile even in such difficult situations. She looked around to see what else was here. She smiled as the beta was introduced and nodded her head again. She was slightly shocked at being invited along but let out a slight sigh of relief at being told she could come along and could help with the pups. She wanted to help with those pups and she grinned her tail wagging slightly. "Thank you. I'd be honoraded to be able to help look after your pups and whatever is needed at the place we are going." Morabelle was excited to get to meet the pups and help out with them. She was curious as to what they were like and how old they were. Obviously old enough to wonder off if someone needed them to be watched and looked after. She was used to looking after pups and such it was nice to be able to have something familiar to fall back on.

She sighed and followed him down the hill grateful it was downhill not uphill, which would have been took much for her to do without more rest and food. She saw two deltas down there and nodded to them not wanting them to think she was acting aggressively. She didn't want to deal with being challenged or anything like that. She looked to where the alpha was looking not sure what had caught his attention. She closed her eyes after a it and sat down to let her limbs get some rest before she tried to take some pups across the river. She listened to those around her and what they said. She heard the russet one and thought it was rather cute how the little pup was leaning against him. She watched the pups wanting to go over and nuzzle them but didn't know how these others would react to a stranger licking their pups. She opened her eyes when the alpha came back and stretched. Her limbs had rested enough and she had regained her strength. "I can take the injured one across if you need or two of the pups. I'm strong and won't let anything bad happen to your pups. Please let me help take some pups across and anything else I can do." She wanted to make sure the pups got across safe so if she took two she's know for sure that two would make it across safely.

A warm sensation couldn't help but swell within the Delta fae at Morabelle's words. Although she was injured, she still had the well-being in mind for those that came to her aid, an act that Kaalia would consider noble. Her attentions went back to Kestrel as he spoke, then her eyes quickly shifted as a new form came into view: a Beta male not as big as his Alpha, but still just as intense and imposing in gaze and energy, the yellow stars taking both the females in with guarded interest. ”Lo there, Sir. Glad to make your greeting even during this perilous time. I’m Kaalia.” Even with such a curt greeting, the Delta hoped her sincerity shone through. She hadn’t even noticed that Kestrel had left until he came back around the bend with another wolf and pups in tow. Her blue eyes studied the Delta male accompanying the Alpha and pups, taking in their scents as if to commit them to some kind of memory.

’Take the little ones to safety. That seems like a simple enough task, oi? She mused to herself moving along with every as they all converged at the crossing point. As Morabelle volunteered to take the inured pup over, Kaalia spoke up afterwards. ”I can take a pup, with permission of course.” Her gaze drifted for a moment toward the blue-gray male that was the charge for the younglings. ’You can trust me.’ Her eyes seemed to convey toward him before she slowly moved to gingerly take one of the pups in her maw. The Delta Guardian made sure to reassess her grip on his scruff, giving soft growls to comfort the youngling before giving a sweeping gaze over the other wolves. Then, in Kaalia fashion, she gave a wink before turning smoothly on her paws, taking confident steps toward the log. She felt the pup squirm and mewl with fear in her clenched jaws, her own eyes unable to help but look at the pit of roiling water below. ’I can do this.’ She thought as a heat spread about her frame like a safety net. Her ears perked as she heard the familiar tune of Grandmother’s lullaby. Soon enough, Kaalia herself began to thrum and growl the melody through clenched jaws hoping to ease her own fears as well as the pup’s. Without another thought of hesitation, she took her first steps on the makeshift bridge, the roaring of the waters seeming to dull in comparison to the song. One paw after the other, surely and steady the Delta made her way over to Rainclaw and the Russet male on the other side as the comforting tune surrounded the two. Before she even knew it, she had leapt from the edge of the tree onto solid ground, the pup giving a startled yip at the action. Kaalia quickly turned her head over her shoulder at the others, nodded, then loped steadily over to the two other wolves and pups in their care, then gently placed the hurting one at the blue she-wolf’s feet. ”Hail, Rainclaw. I am Kaalia. The others should be crossing shortly. I came on order of Kestrel, Descendent of the White Alpha.” She licked her chops and maw attempting to readjust her mouth from the weight of the pup. The Delta hoped she hadn’t hurt the little thing as she didn’t realize just how steel tight her grip was on his scruff. Leaning down, she licked his head and nudged his snout with a wet nose as if in apology, then turned her attentions back to Rainclaw. ”I’m yours to command with whatever you may need.”

”And thank you, Grandmother. I doubt I could have succeeded without your guidance.’ A silent prayer left her breath as she gave a quick look up into the sky before settling herself by the others already on the secured side of the rivers, ready to be of service.

[[OOC: I went on ahead and quoted mostly everyone in the vicinity of Kestrel since the wolves were ordered to take what pups they could and make it across, which eventually would have everyone mostly together. ]]

Aura and the pups walked for what felt like forever, looking around as they padded through the destruction. The world looked so drastly different from what the pups were used to, causing them to be uneasy and skittish. They stayed close to Aura's feet, the injured pup being carried by the scruff of his neck. Aura was unsure of what they would do, having spent so much time alone and without a pack.

The young wolf was alone with his thoughts as they walked when a white figure caught his attention. He noticed that the creature had started running towards them quickly, the pups getting behind him as they were taught to do in times of danger. Aura set the pup down, letting both his jaw and the pup take a rest. He listened to the other introduce himself, and comment on him needing help. "Well met Kestrel. I am Aura, and these are my pups. Or at least...what is left of my pups..." His eyes were full of sorrow and exhaustion, but he looked back up at the other. He growled slightly as the pup whimpered as he was lifted by the scruff of his neck, but calmed slightly as he watched Kestrel set the injured pup on his back. He nodded as he was told to follow, following behind with the other pups in tow.

As they made it back to where the other wolves were, Aura and the pups felt a little uneasy having been alone for so long. As two offered to take the injured pup and picked him up to take him across along with one other pup, he leaned down to grab the littlest one. Holding it in his maw, he leaned down for the other pup to jump on his back. He waited till the pup was ready and had a tuff of fur in his mouth to stay secure. When they were all ready he very cautiously and slowly made his way across the bridge. Once across, he joined the others, the injured pup waddling over to his side. He was weak, and tired, leaning against Aura's leg heavily.

The male chose to stay, settling by the injured female's side. His intense gaze remained on her, and she was glad that for the moment her eyes could remained locked on the wound, not him. Such intensity could be rather unnerving, even the kind born from concern. The female's gaze was soft, she seemed comforted by Nightshade's demeanor. Good, that made things easier. The Varsythe had to admit she had been worried, she'd never interacted with anyone other then her pack mates, so she'd had no way of knowing how these two would react to her attitude. She could assume, obviously, as she had, but that can only take you so far. Luckily, even a small group can teach you to read the language of their movements, so she was not entirely in new territory as far as judging the feelings of others. Though the extra appendages did throw her off a bit.

"Well well, I do not know it's common name, but it is quite interesting~ You see, when drunk, the bitter liquid makes you forget your senses~! Strange, strange I know, but very useful for the injured who must travel. After all, imagine if we dulled your senses, dulled your limbs~ Imagine if you tried to dance with your legs all a-mush! You would get very little done, would you not? After all, to dance, one must feel~! And feel you do! You simply... forget to pay attention now and then, which is good when you need to dance away the pain~ though I would not suggest dancing in your case."

Having finished cleaning the wound, Nightshade smiled at the blue Varsythe before her before trotting over to her tools and taking a mouth full of moss. Turning back around with another large smile and trotting back over, tail wagging. A positive attitude helped the healing process, after all, if your Healer is happy, how bad can your wound be?

"Now the strangest, strangest thing about it is this~ if you squash the liquid out and leave it to sit, leave it to sit for quite a few days~ it becomes a most delightful liquid! You see, now, fresh from the leaf you only forget the bad things, the bad things like pain and stink, and only a little, after all, it's just a bit forgetful~! But left overnight, left out for days, when no longer fresh~ you forget all of the things! Good things bad things other things, everything goes right out your brain! Quite a bit of fun, I enjoyed much dancing~"

The sing-song tone in her voice increased greatly as she spoke of it's enhanced effects, and you could hear laughter in her voice. A very amusing story she was telling, if you heard her tone. It was a good distraction while she prepared to moss, placing it gently in the middle of the wound, moving slowly outwards along each side equally, making sure not to push it in just yet. As she finished that, she turned to the two before her.

"Rothar yes? That is what you are called~ that is what she called you? Lovely, lovely name~ now tell me dear, what is your name? Just as lovely~ Yes?"

As her melodic tone faded she pushed her snout into the moss, sinking it into the wound. This would be the most painful part, as the wound would be raw from her earlier care, but hopefully the leaves would keep that pain out of sight, out of mind. Working quickly she pushed it all in evenly, one side then the other, working back and forth until she reached the smallest part of the wound. Some blood leaked out, but less then it would have had she started on the side. After all, the middle of the cut was much worse, and stopping the blood there first would mean there would be less exposed to rush from her body. Nightshade had made it a habit to work from the most open part outward, so to stop the flow of blood quickly and effectively. After all, tending the smaller parts simply meant more pressure on the open wound, sometimes causing heavier blood flow due to a sudden decrease in openings. Not that small injuries did not require treatment, it was easy to ignore a small cut only to discover a sudden faintness from the loss of blood.

"There~ Just like I said~ Nothing to worry about, no problem at all! All finished all clean~!"

Oh there were a lot of pups now! The female instantly took note of their conditions before looking around. There should be some sort of herb that survived all this water. The female was tapping into her knowledge from her lonely days as she lowered her head and let out a soft yip. "Kestrel! I found a herb I can use for the injured pup!"

She knew it could help with the blood loss as well as clot the wound faster. Nudging the other pups she turned and half of her vanished into the brush before she brought out a odd looking plant, roots and all. She dropped it, pulling off a few leafs. "Can you please bring me the wounded little one?"

As they would do that she rolled the leafs she pulled off. Making sure they were wet....well more so. She had to get them to a certain sogginess. After nuzzling the little one she placed the wet leafs on their wound making sure it was pasted down. "It'll sting for a bit little one, but it'll ease in a moment." she muttered in comfort as she heard a whimper. Once she felt the leafs weren't going anywhere she lifted her head. "There, that should hold until we get to the forest." She awaited her Alpha's next commands. Letting out a soft sound as a few of the pups she found nuzzled her legs.

As other wolves appeared following the strong-sensed white Alpha, Jaryn's mismatched eyes glanced warily at the newcomers, evaluative. He could tell that the red-splashed white wolf held a sort of self assurance denoting a higher position in a pack than him, and that the blue-furred wolf held a higher sense of power... But he didn't back down. Didn't meet their eyes, wouldn't do to seem confrontational. Especially with... The pensive gaze glanced around somberly. Especially with chaos literally everywhere to look. Jaryn he answered shortly, but simply and calmly, after the others had introduced themselves.

Feeling a touch annoyed that he hadn't just acted as well, frustrated with the necessity of listening to a strange Alpha, Jaryn watched at the red-streaked white wolf swam across. Well, long enough time for a rest. Time to head over, follow Kallan... he thought calmly. Glancing at the new male with pups, and seeing that the female he was most familiar with...all of a handful of minutes, but eh...taking care of injuries, Jaryn gently tapped one of the pups huddling with him. Let's go, stay strong he murmured calmly, tone low to the pups without much regard of the other adults; they had a job, and he was going to do his part.

At least he wouldn't be sitting around anymore.

Getting one of the other pups in his mouth by the scruff, Jaryn glanced at the pup that had seemed to 'picked' him...the russet wolf STILL had NO idea why. It still confused and slightly unnerved him. But as the pup gave him wide, trusting eyes, Jaryn felt a clenching around his heart. So many lost...and such a bleak future, if what the voice from earlier had said was true. Another heterchromatic glance around, and Jaryn could see the evidence. As the land settled, who knew what would happened? Who knew how long the nightmare would last? The pup in his mouth whimpered quietly and squiggled a bit, Jaryn rumbling quietly until the pup lay limp and still, trusting the adult. A glance to his back, and the pup that seemed to like him came right over as Jaryn lowered down enough for the pup to climb on. He raised his hackles a bit, to give that pup a little bit more to hold onto. Their lives literally depended on him now...and they were the future.

No pressure. Yeah, right.

After a moment examining the flow, remembering where the white wolf Kaalia had gone and how her body had moved, Jaryn slid into the water with relative ease. The current snagged at the mud on his fur, the pups whimpering quietly as Jaryn's body took the quick shock. He was almost instantly cold, the water bashing against him and trying to tumble him as the lean russet wolf swam. But he had the pups...and the gaze of the mismatched eyes never wavered, Jaryn not even really blinking. Sure, he'd close an eye against an errant twig trying to boop through his eyeball, but aside from that... Jaryn didn't show any fear, despite the memories of another hellish watery rush.

It took a few moments of maneuvering, but Jaryn made it across to the other side. There was a little bad moment as he was climbing out, the pup sliding down his back from a loosened grip on the water-slicked fur. But Jaryn quickly lowered his head, pushing off with a leg sliding in the mud so that his rear end almost pivoted around. And the pup landed in the mud...wet and now muddy, but not swept off into the river. Jaryn gave that shivering pup a glance, then looked over to where the others were. He walked over to the huddle, dropping off the pup in his mouth as the other one shivered and whimpered close against him. Jaryn sighed. He was a good swimmer...not good with pups. Thankfully, it looked like Kaalia was staying on this side, so he entrusted her to watch over the pups. She seemed to be able to use that to focus. Stay strong he told the pup leaning against him, meeting the wide eyes with a calm gaze. I'll be back soon. You can watch me, give you something to focus on other than the fear... Jaryn offered quietly, uncertain who...if ANY...of the adults would pick up on his awkward discomfort. The pup seemed to relax, seeming to think on Jaryn's words before going over to nuzzle another pup gently with a small lick to the other's nose. That pup watched Jaryn with solemn, wide eyes, as the russet adult swam back quickly across the river.

He wasn't used to dealing with pups. Jaryn wasn't really used to working with many other wolves. It made him nervous, his Scout instinct yelling at him that they'd attract too much attention. Would be too detectable. But there was chaos all around, and all his nerves could jangle at him later when he was alone among the supposed crowd at Lunaris Forest. Jaryn had to focus on the now, and get things DONE. He wasn't used to being looked up to; coming from Beta parents in his birth Pack, he was small, and when circumstances led him to finding another Pack after his family got separated, he'd been knocked to a Beta. Jaryn had leadership qualities...but he had yet to come across a Beta he felt it necessary to fight. Well, once...technically won that one, but he technically lost because it'd been while Jaryn was wandering before finding Kallan's pack. It was how he'd gotten his scar. The Beta had been bullying another wolf, and Jaryn happened along. That Beta had been limping, but only the Alpha's intervention really stopped the fight. So, Jaryn had won...sort of. But he'd also lost; especially since he hadn't been trying to take the Beta's spot. Not as a complete stranger. Whatever

Either way, Jaryn wasn't used to affection. And he'd gotten into trouble for being 'rough' with pups, giving them glances and hardly any words when they'd bounded close to him. Or using a paw to sort of deflect their bounciness. But he'd never yelled, and had never lashed out to hurt them. He was quiet, withdrawn...but Jaryn wasn't cruel. He was just...a deeper individual, who kept mostly to himself. Being a Scout was perfect, for him. So when dealing with pups, Jaryn had a sort of tough love, trying to support them and help them. But without doing everything for them, without being so loving as to try to prevent them from getting hurt. It'd worked for him with his parents, at least to Jaryn's way of thinking.

Leaving his distant memories of his parents and his first time as a loner behind, Jaryn had his focus be on swimming pups over. Every time, he'd meet the gaze of the pup across the bank, holding it, his own mismatched eyes calm and steady. The other pup seemed to take Jaryn's words to heart, nosing at pups that seemed more tired or scared while Jaryn was around. Almost like trying to show that he WAS strong, or something. Jaryn gave him a puzzled expression, then shrugged. The pup looked at Jaryn, and Jaryn gazed calmly back at the pup. And gave a slow, intentional blink. The pup flopped his stubby slick-fluff of a tail, and seemed to take that as encouragement. And since the russet adult didn't seem upset, the pup continued. Strange... Jaryn murmured to himself as he swam across.

Eventually, all the pups were on the other side, and Jaryn moved his eyes until they met Kallan's. He gave her a nod that was more of a respectful bow greater than the slight nod to the Alpha earlier, shivering a little despite having shaken off much of the excess water...far from the pups. He was ready to continue, a paw slowly rising and falling in place. Not too different from a human tapping their foot in impatience. His eyes glanced around after that brief eye contact being made, evaluating the area. Still chaos, still lots of mud and wet. But at least, somewhere, Kallan could lead them to Lunaris Forest. And Jaryn was willing to follow Kallan's lead. Still not sure about the white Alpha, though, despite the sheer...Presence...to the male. He and the Betas hadn't proven themselves, yet, in Jaryn's calm mind.

OoC :: Feels weird posting in a certain order, since no one's really addressed Jaryn specifically...

Orca: Just a heads up, a bunch of your quotes are missing brackets, so they didn't come through in the coding to where people would get alerts about them ^^;

Veri: Please please PLEASE keep in mind that Jaryn is still uncertain about Kestrel. He'll give respect, but not wholehearted obeisance to where he'd be all bows and awe and stuff. That is WAY out of Jaryn's character to do. Jaryn will show Kallan more respect as an Alpha, and more obedience to her, because of their past.
