Journey to the Graveyard
Abellio was watching Junjie closely, a somewhat worried look in his eyes, as the two of them made their way through the hot sands of Eowyn once more. He could easily tell that Junjie was worrying over the events of late, to the point that it was making Jun's heart hurt, and it was something that the Keindred didn't like even in the least. He wanted for his Jun to be happy after all! He would just have to make him happy he thought to himself as he hurried along after him, "Where are we going, Jun? We are going to that graveyard they talked about, aren't we? Why, Jun?" It seemed the closer they got to the place the more that Junjie seemed to fret about things so why should they go? Why weren't they going somewhere nice? They should go home, go see Jun's mother, go see Tila or Rio, maybe Eku and Vilzun, or the pretty Esmeralda, anywhere but the graveyard. From what he understood it was a place where the dead were buried, not a place that was going to cheer Junjie up, that he knew for certain.
"Junjie... we should go home, back to Serenia. I am sure you mother misses you." He said, trying to steer him along but it wasn't really working, was it? It seemed to be going ever forward, seeming a bit dazed, and Abellio knew that there was only one thing to do. It was a bit harsh but it would be for the best. Taking in a deep breath he rushed forward, throwing his considerable weight against Junjie's back, and Junjie went down in a heap against the warm sand with Abellio on his back, "Junjie! We will talk now!" He growled at his bonded, doing his best to sound intimidating when he was normally too much of a coward to pull of such a tone.
Junjie lifted his head, spitting out sand, then turned best that he could to look at the Keindred that was sitting on his back before he sighed softly, "Abellio... I'm sorry I just... wanted to get there quickly is all." He said, not really liking the thought of visiting a graveyard, the very idea of it gave him the chills, but it was necessary, a part of him just didn't want to believe it, that they would just go through that strange, underground lab, and kill everyone and everything in it. Surely that was just too cruel? Surely such beings should have been allowed a chance? It wasn't as though they wanted to be there... what if they were all like Rio? What if they had all been kidnapped and thrown into cages? The idea that they were sitting in there for who knows how long, waiting for someone to come to save them as everyone had saved Rio, and then to have that done to them. It was too horrible for Junjie to even want to think about... and yet it was the only thing that he could think about.
As such thoughts came to Junjie's mind, filtering over to Abellio, the Keindred scooted off his back, "Jun..." He murmured, nuzzling against him, fretting that much more now. Such sad thoughts, ones that Abellio didn't even want to think about himself let alone let Junjie think about.
The hybrid sat up, turning to face Abellio, then sighed as he ducked his head, "It's just... awful... I don't understand why they would just kill them all like that..." He murmured, hands clutching at his cloak, "And he didn't even make it sound as though it were anything! It was so... matter-of-fact! Esmeralda said that Marcus was a great man and it turns out he was just some butcher..." He murmured, then sighed again, "I wanted so badly to do something amazing, something that would make me worthy of being allowed to even get a glimpse of him, wanted it since I was little... I feel kinda... cheated." Then after everything to have them hand out medals... as if he wanted some medal that was soaked in so much blood. He didn't, he would continue to get by on his own the way he had to this point, there was no reason to take that gift. Not as though he wanted to go to the two places the medal would have permitted him to go anyway he lied to himself before he dragged himself to his feet.
"Come on, we should keep going. I just... I want to see if for myself and then we will decide what to do next." He told the Keindred. He wasn't sure where they would be going next, maybe home like Abellio suggested? He knew that he could use some rest somewhere he would feel safe and secure, home was that, not to mention that he should check up on his mother and the sage. The two of them didn't really get along so it probably wasn't right of him to leave the two of them together for too long. Brushing himself he said, "Don't worry, we will get there, visit for a time, and then we will move on." Spending too much time at a graveyard wouldn't be good for him, it was just something he had to see for himself, and then he would decide what he would do next.
Abellio starred up at his bonded for a long moment before he gave a nod, "Okay, Jun." He murmured, trotting along behind him. He had wanted to cheer him up but it seemed that, for the moment at least, there would be no cheering him up. The hybrid was determined to see this through to the end, even if Abellio didn't want him to, and the best that the Keindred could do at the moment was follow after him. Once they were done at the graveyard they would go home and if anyone could help to cheer Junjie up it was his mother, they just had to hold up until then was all.

The Green and Gold Medal
The graveyard was about what he was expecting, a quiet, lonely sort of place with gravestones that lacked any names on them. He looked across the expanse of the small place for a moment, then sighed a little, "So this is it." It was rather lonely, huh? He started forward, taking everything in, one hand brushing against one of the blank stones before he gave a shake of his head. It made him wonder who was buried here, who they were before being taken by the 'hybrid coalition' as the group was called. A part of him wondered how far the consequence of what they had done would ripple. Marcus had announced their existence to the world in front of a rather rowdy crowd after all and even if he then said that it wasn't all of hybrids that were part of that group it wasn't like that would stop all of the zealots out there. There were those that would just see all of those with mixed blood as dangerous, those that should be chased off at best, and that worried him as well.
"I wonder what we should do next." He murmured to Abellio, giving him a little glance before he started forward through the graveyard, hands brushing lightly against the various stones, wondering which of the stones belonged to the various people and creatures that had been experimented on and which belonged to the hybrids who had been killed and tossed aside by those in charge. It was sad and empty here he thought to himself before continued along through the place, from one side to the other, touching each stone walked by as though to acknowledge each of those who were buried there. It was a shame that there was nothing here but sand. Was it anywhere else there was the option of plants being put in to make the area seem less lonely he thought to himself. What were the odds of bringing in some flowering cactus or something to grow here he wondered, though moving them would be interesting, huh? Cactus were quite prickly and hard to deal with after all but there must be some way to do it he thought to himself as he continued his walk around the area, ending on the other side.
Turning back to the Keindred that was following him he said, "It's strange, huh? To think that the entrance to that place used to be here." It was hard to tell, it must have been filled in somehow, perhaps with magic or by some powerful Gaili? The exact way that they went about it was beyond him, he hadn't been there after all, so he could only guess how it had been done. All he knew was that everything was erased, buried in the sand, and only those that that had gone into that place really knew what it was like down there. He couldn't help but wonder if the medals were a way to buy their silence or if he was just reading too much into it because he was upset. What if the medals really were meant to help them out? It might very well be something that was supposed to help, after all the medal that Rio had received was supposed to help allow her to go places that a normal hybrid would never be allowed to go. Should they trust such a thing though, that was the question. There was that part of him that wanted to believe that those that got the medals would benefit from them instead of being hindered.
Abellio trotted closer, the large Keindred bumping into him, before he gave a cooing sound and gazed up at him, "Jun? Jun want medal?" He asked of him, his feathery tail swishing for a moment before he dug into the pocket on the cloak he wore, fishing out the medal he'd taken back at the gathering some time around and offered it up to his bonded, feeling as though he deserved the medal even if Junjie didn't feel it and wasn't sure if he wanted it. Abellio knew better, knew what Junjie was like, knew how kind he was, and this medal would prove that!
Junjie starred down at the item that was being offered to him before he reached out to take it, lifting it up to look it over, then sighed softly, "I... where did you get this, Abellio?" He asked, having missed the fact that the Keindred had somehow gotten his claws on such a thing. It really was a pretty thing, wasn't it? Small and unassuming, it didn't really look like something that carried as much weight as it did. It was the word on it, 'heroism' that struck him wrong. He didn't feel heroic due to being associated with what happened here. Still, it was a pretty thing... though... this one wasn't like the one that Rio had received, it wasn't the one that had been given out to the Dovaa, was it? This look more like the Orderite version of the medal, "It's... not exactly the right medal but... thanks." He said, running his thumb against the glittering orb set in the medal.
There was a long silence before Abellio shook his head, "It's the right medal, Junjie. You are Orderite too, I know that, it's not a secret from me, silly Jun." He told his bonded, laughing a little, tail swishing for a moment before he looked at the medal that Junjie was holding, starred at it a long moment, then said, "Besides, green is best! Junjie is green, I am green, the Ysali color is the best color." Which was really the reason he'd taken that particular medal, it wasn't as though he were trying to make some big point about who or what Junjie was, not really, it was just because the Ysali liked green best. The fact that it turned out to be an Orderite medal, well that was just a coincidence but maybe it was one that would help Junjie? He seemed upset over many things and one of them was the fact that he didn't deserve the medal because he was hiding who he was. The medal that Abellio got for him represented that part of Junjie, maybe it would help him in accepting both that part of him and his medal.
Junjie gave a bit of a smile, tucking the medal away into his pack, "Thank you, Abellio, I will think on what you said." He told him, giving him a soft smile, before he looked around the graveyard, perhaps it was time that they moved on? Abellio had mentioned them heading home earlier, he wondered if that was what they should do next. Though as he was thinking on that something glittering in the sands caught his attention, something that caused him to give pause, "Hey... Abellio... what is that?" He asked of the Keindred who turned to look in the direction that Junjie was looking in before he went rushing forward.
The Keindred came to a sliding halt, walked a couple circles around the object, then called out, "Egg! Jun! Jun! An egg, Jun!"

A Sign?
Abellio had never seen an egg like this before and his excitement over the find was more then clear on his features. He ran a few more circles around it as Junjie walked over to where he was standing, looking down at the egg, recognizing it straight away for what it was, a Drakein egg. Another one? Was it lost too? Stolen, perhaps? He couldn't help but to wonder how it had gotten to a place like this. One wouldn't think that a graveyard would be the best place for an egg to be placed after all he thought to himself before he knelt down next to it. The more he looked at it though the more that he had to wonder about the possible reasons for it being here, a part of him would attribute it to the size, it seemed smaller then Abellio's egg had been. Was it a runt? Did the parents not think it was going to survive so they abandoned it?
A rather harsh wind suddenly blew by, rustling everything around Junjie and Abellio for a moment, enough of a wind that it knocked forth from the pack the medal that Junjie had tucked there, causing the object to land in front of the egg. There was a moment that Junjie merely starred at it, about to reach out for it, when his hand paused, "Ahh... wait..." He murmured, looking between the medal and the egg before jerking his head upright toward the wide open expanse of the sky, "Do you... do you think it's a sign, Abellio?" He really hadn't ever thought about it, about the Goddess Soudana and Seren or the God Abronxas, but in this moment he couldn't help but to wonder if this wasn't a sign being sent to him by the Goddess Seren. Was this to prove to him that there was more that he should be focusing on the death? That there was life too? Just the idea of it caused his heart to skip a beat.
"Surely not, what would she want with someone like me." He was nobody, just an unwanted halfbreed, right? Yeah, it was just his imagination playing tricks on him, just him looking for some sort of sign, it was just the wind... but even as he told himself those things there was a part of him, the still curious and innocent part of him, that couldn't help but to wonder. What if the egg was a sign, a gift from her, he couldn't really ignore it, right? This was a good thing, a sign that there was more to life then just fear and pain and death, there were good things, a lot of good things, and even if he was feeling heart broken at the moment over everything that had happened that was no reason to turn his back on those good things. Even if it was just his foolish imagination, just a coinsidental gust of wind, he was still going to take it as a sign, one that he needed at the moment, "I think we should take the egg with us, Abellio. It's all alone and it needs us, what do you think?" He asked, not wanting to make his companion of so long jealous by taking in a new baby if he wasn't interested.
There wasn't even any hesitation as Abellio started to bounce in place, "Egg! Egg, Jun! Take it!" He said, tail wagging behind him rapidly, wanting to meet whoever was in there, wanted to be friends, wanted to help Junjie raise the little one. It would be so much fun! He'd never been around anyone younger then he was before, had never gotten to take care of someone, it would be a whole new sort of adventure and just looking at Junjie as he looked at the egg, it seemed as though it was helping to perk him up. As such Abellio felt they needed to take the egg with them straight away!
Junjie gave a smile as he nodded, "If you're certain." He said, picking up the pretty colored egg, finding himself quite curious as to what it was that might be within it. He couldn't really say that he had any clue but, like with Abellio's egg, it would be a wonderful surprise to be had sometime in the future. With the egg tucked under his arm he reached down with his other hand to scoop up the medal, looking it over, before giving a smile, "Thank you." He murmured, feeling as though he owed Seren a great deal if she was the one that sent this sign to him. The medal was tucked away into his pack once before before he turned to Abellio, "Should we see about moving on now?" He asked of him, wondering if it was time for the two of them to return to Serenia, back to his mother, so that they could make sure that she wasn't at odds witht he Sage. As he turned to do so though he caught sight of something coming through the sands toward them, something that caused him to paused in place, wondering who was coming.

The Boat Ride Home
Junjie, with Abellio at his side and the as of yet unhatched egg, were on the boat ride home across the expanse of water that separated Eowyn from Serenia. After spending some time with his good friend Rio in her place, relaxing and recovering from everything that had happened in the passed couple weeks, it seemed as though it was time to head back to where everything had started, his home in Serenia. He wasn't sure how long he'd stay, probably not too long since he didn't want to cause too much trouble for his mother, but he figured it would be best to spend a little time with her since he'd been so busy of late. Not to mention that she didn't have the best relationship with the Dovaa Sage and he'd asked the man to go and check up on her while things were still on edge. He'd been worried about her safety but now that things seemed, at the moment at least, to be a little calmer it was time to go and save her from the man that she didn't care too much for. A part of him was really curious as to why but he'd never gotten up the courage to ask the Sage why, not wanting to annoy the man. It would likely end up with him getting all that much more in the way of training piled on his shoulders.
"Will be nice to get home, isn't that right, Abellio? It's been a while... though I am sure that mother won't be too happy to see me with yet another egg." He said, giving a soft chuckle at the thought. The woman was going to give him that look that said that she was in no way pleased even though he knew that she wouldn't really complain. He was growing up after all and had proven that he could take care of and raise Drakein given the great condition that Abellio was in, even if he was a touch spoiled.
The thought caused the feathery Drakein to fluff up a bit, turning to give Junjie a look, then muttered, "I am not that spoiled, Jun." As though he'd taken great offense to what had been said. Sure, he asked for things from time to time, wanted a cloak of his own, would rather hide behind Junjie during battles, but he was going to get better! He'd decided that he was going to get stronger, going to help take care of the baby, it was going to be wonderful if you asked him, "But I will make sure to help with spoiling the little Keinling." He said, giving a toothy smile, tail swishing. If Junjie thought that he was spoiled then he was going to help in spoiling the baby, then Abellio would look humble by comparison.
Junjie blinked a couple times, turned his head to look over at the feathered Drakein, then started to laugh, "What? Wow... that's a bit scary." He murmured, not sure what he he thought about that. To think that he was going to try to help to spoil the new Keinling, seeming to be wanting to make himself seem like the better Drakein by comparison if his thoughts were any indication. Reaching out Junjie set to scratching Abellio under the chin, a gentle smile on his lips, "You really are a good boy, Abellio, even if you are plotting all manner of dastardly things." He was a pretty smart thing, wasn't he? Though he wasn't sure that he was sure about the idea of a Keinling that was spoiled by an already spoiled Drakein. Surely that would mean that the baby would end up super spoiled...? Scary. Ah well, he was just glad that Abellio was happy with the egg instead of jealous since jealous was the last thing that he wanted when it came to Abellio, not wanting the feathered Drakein to feel he wasn't as well loved as the baby.
Some shouting drew the attention of Junjie and Abellio, both of them turning in sync, listening as people called out about how land was in sight. It seemed as though they would be making land soon, wonderful! Junjie scooped up his pack, putting it over his shoulder carefully, then walked toward where the ramp would be placed so that they could leave, wanting to be one of the first off the ship, "Come on, Abellio, come stand here with me." He said to the Keidred who trotted over to stand at Junjie's side, puffing himself up to look as big as he could, not wanting anyone to mess with 'his' Junjie while they waited to leave the ship. The moment that the ramp was in place the two of them were heading down it, eager to make their way to the small village where his mother lived and was waiting for them with the Dovaa Sage, hopefully in a peaceful manner if everyone involved was lucky.

Dancing Vines
"My little Jun, what are you up to?" Came the gentle voice of Lien, Junjie's mother, who was fresh from doing some stitches for one of her patients who gotten into a tangle with some of the local wildlife. She was drying off her freshly washed hands on her apron, walking toward where her son was standing, watching him as he made some vines dance for the feathery Keindred that seemed to be his audience. She closed her mouth, coming to sit down on a stone bench in the yard, watching the way that he was manipulating the plant life in the yard, seeming as though he were getting a good handle on his powers. It was something that caused the woman a bit of worry, to see him doing such a thing. She had never wanted him to involve himself in such things, having wanted him to just stay with her and become her apprentice. To see him using his powers scared her, it meant that the training with the Sage had been working out well, it meant that he was becoming a warrior like his father before him, and she feared that it meant one day he would leave and never come back.
The question became how could she have denied him the aid that he needed from the Sage that could provide it? What if he went off while he was little seeking aid on his own after all? To have left him without aid would have been a far worse idea then bringing in the help of the Sage, but it didn't mean that she had to like it, "Ahh... why things couldn't still be as simple as when he was just a little thing and I could protect him in my own way." She murmured to herself, clasping her hands in her lap as her son continued the demonstration that he was putting on for Abellio.
Oblivious to the fact that his mother was watching him at the moment the Ysali Hybrid was moving his hands slowly from side to side, making the vines before him 'dance' from side to side, "Do you see how I am doing that?" He asked of Abellio who was watching in a wide eyed manner, as though he thought that opening his eyes to the size of dinner plates would keep him from missing any important details. It was something that had Junjie smiling as he continued to work with the vines, "This is a simple spell, one that all Ysali should learn. That means you too, Abellio. I think that it would be most effective for you to learn this particular spell first because it will allow you to best protect yourself, as well as those around you." It was one that Junjie used a lot, one that Abellio had seen in action a lot, and as such he felt that it was the best thing to teach him first... though it might also be him sort of putting off flying lessons since he himself had no idea how to fly. How could he teach flying when he couldn't do it himself after all. Flying meant wings, something that he normally kept hidden for safety reasons. Learning to fly would be something they would need to learn together though he wasn't sure if his wings were strong enough to do anything for him... but still, at least he could aid Abellio in learning, right? For now though he'd stick to what he was good at.
"Alright, now, I think that you should try. Don't feel bad if you don't get it on your first try, it can be complicated after all." He told his Keindred, not wanting for Abellio to fret if he couldn't figure the spell out straight away. Magic wasn't something that everyone could figure out so easily, as such it was best that the Keindred take his time and try his best. The fact that he was trying was what mattered most if you asked Junjie, though that thought garnered him a look from the unamused Abellio, as though he were miffed that Junjie thought he might not succeed.
The Keindred dropped his teal gaze to the vines, starring hard at them, before drawing in a deep breath in the manner that he'd seen Junjie do when he was concentrating hard on something. The Keindred seemed as though he were concentrating hard enough that he might go cross eyed at any moment but Junjie didn't interupt, instead just standing by, breath held, as he waited to see what might happen. The silence seemed to be preferable to Abellio, not wanting to be distracted by anything, wanting to get this spell figured out! He wouldn't fail he thought to himself, wouldn't let some spell get the better of him even if it were complicated according to Junjie. If his bonded could do it then he could do it he told himself.
Seconds became minutes, minutes became an hour, and neither Junjie nor Abellio had moved from the spot, seeming as though both of them were waiting patiently for what was to come... and when it did both of them gave a cry of surprise. Sure, the vines only wiggled a little bit, no full on dance like Junjie had been doing, but it was the first step toward Abellio's own mastery of the spell, "You did a wonderful job, Abellio!" Junjie cried, pouncing on his Keindred, giving him a tight hug, something that had the feathery beast purring up a storm. After a time the hugging came to an end and it was back to training in the spell, the two of them working at it for some time to come as Abellio did his best to get the hang of making vines do as he commanded them to do. He still had a ways to go but the fact that he'd gotten them to move at all meant that he had the potential to master the skill, something that would aid him in protecting himself and those he loved, something that was important to the Keindred. He wanted to protect the baby in the egg they found and even more so his Junjie, as such he would throw his all into the spell! He'd be protecting people instead of hiding behind them in no time!

A Sugar High Arjan
The differences between Abellio and the new Keinling seemed to start at the very start of the Kiandri's life. Whereas Abellio seemed to take an entire night to hatch the new baby, who was dubbed Arjan by Junjie, seemed to appear in a flash. The halfbreed barely had any warning at all that the Keinling was ready to emerge before he was bursting forth from his egg, shards of shell going in all directions. It was a rather surprising appearance to say the least and it didn't seem to slow down there, with Arjan quickly pouncing on a piece of egg shell, crushing it into smaller pieces before he set to gulping down the shell. At first Junjie was in a panic, not wanting the baby to get hurt, but it was his mother who was telling him that such a thing was often a first meal for an animal. The shells had a lot more nutrition to them then one might think and as such it wasn't all that bad for the little Kiandri.
The little one didn't seem to slow down there either, seeming to be quite the speedy little thing, always on the move! On top of that he seemed to constantly be eating, devouring anything he could get his claws on be it bugs, certain plants, or the various baked goods that his mother was always making. Anything that fit in his mouth was subject to taste testing, though often times Junjie found himself with his hand in the Keinling's mouth, fishing out things that he shouldn't be trying to eat. Even from the beginning he was a lot more work then Abellio, something that amused the Ysali greatly, even though the Keidred oft found himself chasing after the Keinling, trying to help Junjie where he could as far as the care of the little one went. That sometimes included Abellio sitting on Arjan, something that Junjie didn't quite approve of but at times it was the only way to slow the little monster down. It wasn't something that he would allow to happen every day but from time to time he supposed it was alright, Abellio was too much bigger.
"Ahhh... I think that it's about time that we take a breather." Junjie said, plopping down in the grass outside of the house, watching the Kiandri Keinling as he raced back and forth in front of him, never slowing down, and he found himself getting more and more tired just watching him, "Eesh, where does he get all that energy." He mused to Abellio who shrugged before the Ysali sat down next to him, resting his head on top of Junjie's head, nuzzling between his horns.
"Excitable, but Arjan is good boy." Abellio said, eyes looking from side to side, taking in the way that the Kiandri was running along before he went lunging into the air, snapping at some of the flying insects that were moving around there. Abellio made a face as Arjan chewed on and swallowed one of those bugs, then snorted, "He has terrible taste in food." He muttered, not seeing why anyone would want to eat bugs. Then again that was likely due to him being a bit on the spoiled side, always used to getting better food from Junjie. Without Junjie he wondered if he would be eating the same things as Arjan... and couldn't help but to wonder why Arjan was eating such things when he had Junjie there to help him as well. Strange, strange little Kiandri he thought to himself before letting his eyes sink half shut, "Blech... buggies..." He grumbled.
Junjie chuckled, lifted a hand to scratch a hand against his hand against Abellio's neck gently before he waited for Arjan's next passed, reaching out to catch hold of him, pulling him into his lap, "Arjan, come on now, how about trying to sit still for a bit?" He said, looking down at him, giving him a smile.
Arjan lifted his bright, golden eyes to stare up at Junjie for a moment, grumbled, and continued to chew on the bug in his mouth, then swallowed it. It seemed that he wasn't pleased with the idea of slowing down, not in the least bit, and it became clear as Junjie held him as to why. It was something that made him laugh a little in fact, "Oh, I see, Arjan. You are running around all crazy because you don't want to let yourself fall asleep, huh?" He said in a teasing tone of voice, something that made the Kiandri grumble all that much more. He really was a silly little thing, wasn't he? So adorable too. Leaning over Junjie pressed a kiss on the top of Arjan's head, "How about you get a nap? Once you rest up we will go for a walk. How does that sound?"
That seemed to be enough for Arjan who nodded his head, curled up in a ball on Junjie's lap, and was snoozing away mere moments later. Junjie smiled, looking up at Abellio, before leaning back against him, "Do you want a nap too?" He asked of the Ysali Keindred who seemed to debate on it before nodding, laying down, allowing Junjie to use him as a pillow. It didn't take long before the trio of them were sleeping in a cuddly pile in the warm Serenia sun.

Flying is... Fun? Maybe?
Junjie couldn't help but to laugh a little as the three of them, Abellio, Arjan, and himself continued to run what were meant to be 'flying drills'. It basically boiled down to the three of them walking up a hill before running down it, wings flapping like mad, trying to take to the air. There was only one amongst them that was really capable of actually getting off the ground, that being Abellio. Still, it was fun to run the drills, not to mention that he was actually enjoying stretching his wings a bit. It wasn't often that he allowed them out of hiding, always afraid of them drawing too much bad attention his way. Still, running around like this was rather nice, wasn't it? It was something that he should do more often he decided as he started to run down the hill again, nearly tripping over Arjan who was charging ahead, as though determined to figure out flight before Abellio... not that he was succeeding as of yet. The little Keinling was determined but not quite strong enough or coordinated enough to figure ou the fine art that was flying. Still the Keinling was doing his best so he meant to encourage him.
"Keep it up, Arjan! You are doing good at strengthening yourself up." He called to the charging Kiandri before turning to look over at Abellio, clapping his hands for the Ysali when he saw that he was actually able to stay up in the air for a short amount of time, "Good job, Abellio! Keep it up and you will be flying in no time!" He praised the Ysali. They really were doing well, weren't they? He was quite impressed with their hard work even though he knew it stemmed partially from their rivalry.
Both of the two Drakein exchanged glances before they were back to charging up the hills, encouraged by the words of praise their bonded was giving them. It seemed as though both were determined to do what the other couldn't as well. It was something that had Junjie laughing a bit, ever amused by their antics, "You two are far too cute for youe own good." He said, wanting very much to give them both hugs... but he could tell by their determined thoughts, expressions, and body language that they weren't looking for hugs at the moment. No, they were battling it out to see who was the best of the best even though Abellio had a lot of time on the younger Arjan. He wouldn't stop them though, not when this was good for both of them. It would build of their strength, their stamina, help Abellio to get his body prepared for flying, and it would help Arjan understand at least the mechanics of it all even if he couldn't get off the ground yet.
Junjie came to a halt at the foot of the hill taking in a deep, steadying breath, then turned to look over at the other two who were coming down the hill again. Once more it was Abellio gliding a good distance down the hill while Arjan just charged forward, as though he wanted at least to get down the hill before Abellio even if he couldn't get off the ground yet. It was a victory of sorts at least in the eyes of the the Kiandri Keinling. Kneeling down he held his arms open to the Keinling. Arjan's golden eyes went wide as he saw the gesture and was instantly racing forward, diving into Junjie's arms. It drew a squeak from the hybrid, knocking him flat on his back due to the speed at which the little one was going, before he started to laugh, "Wow... I love you too, Arjan." He said with a laugh, then looked up at Abellio who was now standing over them, looking Junjie over as though he wanted to make sure that he was alright after being tackled to the ground by the overly enthusiastic Arjan. Junjie lifted up hand up to pet Abellio, the other one wrapped around Arjan, smiling at them, "You two are such good boys. You worked so hard today... maybe we can see about sneaking some cookies?"
It was a suggestion that made both of them perk up, their eyes getting wide, before both cried out in unison, "Yes! Cookies!" Arjan scrambled out of his grasp to run back toward the house and Abellio was in hot pursuit. Junjie blinked a couple times then let his wings fade away, chasing after the pair, "Arjan! Abellio! Wait up! You know Mom will flip out if you invade the kitchen on your own!" He called after them, sighed a bit when neither slowed down, and just did his best to try to catch up. He could only hope that if they got their ahead of him, which they were likely to do, that they didn't go knocking anything over. If the did his mother would have their hides. More flight lessons would have to wait until tomorrow but he really felt that Abellio was starting to get the hang of it, he was starting to actually glide more often then he just jumped around with his wings flapping of late.
He knew full well that he would get it figured out and soon enough he'd be flying in the sky in a manner that Junjie would be a touch envious of. Once the Ysali got a bit bigger he would need to give Junjie a ride, something that had the Keindred laughing a little before answering through their bond, "Of course I will give you a ride when I can, Jun! I love you! Ah! Look, cookies!" Not a good sign Junjie thought to himself as he hurried into the house, hoping to stop a disaster before it started.
