Junjie and Abellio were walking along, heading toward their next destination, that being a dock where the two of them could catch a ride home to Serenia. He figured that it was about time that he went back, visited with his mother, chatted with the Dovaa Sage face to face, had some down time, and just otherwise allowed himself to unwind. He had spent far to much time with everything in him wound up so tight that he was sure it would finally snap. A rest would be nice, not to mention that traveling with an egg was always far more difficult. Back when he had Abellio's egg it always stayed at home, on his bed, in a nest of blankets to make sure that it wasn't put at any risk. He couldn't really do that now though, could he? He had no place to bed down save for Rio's place and he couldn't ask her to look after the egg while he was away, what if it hatched and bonded to her after all? While he wouldn't be too upset he was sure that Abellio would he crushed... and he couldn't even begin to consider what Rio would have to deal with having three Drakein following her about, always in her head. Best that he was careful with this one to keep that from happening.
Lifting a hand he rested it against his pack, stroking it lightly, before he gave a smile, "Should be a nice visit home." He told the egg before looking over at Abellio, "Be sure to be on your best behavior so that mother knows that you are acting more grown up now." If Abellio behaved she would be less likely to have a fit over another egg coming into the house he thought to himself, "You can do that for me, right?" A question that had Abellio nodding his head rapidly.
"Yes, yes! Abellio be good Jun!" He chirped, tail swishing, before the Ysali Drakein suddenly froze in place, eyes going wide, then gave a cry of, "Jun! Jun! Firani!" He said, taking a couple hurried steps forward toward his bonded as the big, red dragon came to land before them, teeth bared, snarling at them in a manner that said it wasn't here to play. Naw, this Firani was here to try to end them, something that Junjie wasn't going to take lightly, not when the appearance of this dragon put Abellio and the new egg in danger, not to mention Junjie himself.
Both of them froze in place, Junjie feeling a momentary wave of fear before his hand tightened on his dragon headed staff, "Abellio, I have an important job for you." He said, carefully shrugging out of the pack that held not only the egg but many other important items from their journey, a pack that he held out to the Keindred, "You need to keep this safe." Abellio only hesitated a moment before he reached out, catching hold of the pack in his maw, then shuffled back quickly away from Junjie and the Firani. It seemed that being put in charge of the egg wasn't something that Abellio was expecting but he looked as though he wanted to do his best. He set the object in the warm sand, wrapped his fore feet around it, then wrapped his wings around it, teeth bared, snarling at the Firani. While normally he wasn't all that good at being brave he knew he had to do his best for the egg.
Junjie gave a smile, glad to see that Abellio was taking his task so seriously before he turned to deal with the Firani before him. He couldn't be certain which Firani this was, maybe it was the one that he and Eku had run across or maybe it was the one that he and Abellio had out smarted, it could be a different one all together, all he knew was that it really wasn't happy to see Junjie. As such Junjie took no more time in using his opening move, that being using the power of the Aeduan to blind the Firani, followed by a Ysali spell used to entangle the beast in the scraggly vines he was able to summon up here, tangling the beast up, dragging it to the ground, and then he was on top of it, using the dragon end of his staff to end the fight as quickly and efficiently as possible. The dragon was barely faded away when Junjie grabbed up it's orb and raced over to Abellio, wanting to make sure that he and the egg were both alright.
