You bring back a whole bunch of greens and some edible seaweed scavanged from the shore and nearby lagoons. The greens will add both nutrients and flavor, and can always be dried.

Not that she wasn't a girl who enjoyed a good wherry or herdbeast, but the sight of so much seaweed and greens able to be collected up practically made her entire day. At least it could be dried, or turned into a salad or side dish.

Spiderclaws were nothing to sneeze at! While they weren't his favorite food, it was certainly better than nothing. He gathers them up with Keeper's help, even if she managed to steal an already half-eaten spiderclaw when he wasn't looking.

Antereth had obliged R'min and taken him out to quieter waters. Though R'min hadn't been certain he'd be any luckier out here than closer to shore, his blue was surprisingly optimistic. Sure enough, by the time the two of them return to the Weyr, he brought with him quite a varied haul.

El'rix hadn't minded the extra work--though Valdivianth wouldn't have let him out of it even if he had. Thankfully, his time down at Black Sands Hold and the islands worked in his favor. Though his trained craft was that of a Harper, he was glad some childhood fishing lessons came in handy.

Valendyr had never claimed to be good at fishing. Though he wasn't about to rebel against the orders, he wasn't exactly happy with them, either. His talent wasn't in fishing--and it was no more clear than when he found himself overboard and tangled in nets. Though he was fished out quickly enough by Z'ri, who had been with him at the time, he couldn't help but feel wretched.

Much to his dismay, he'd only feel worse as the day progressed, until he was ina full-blown fever.

Of course he'd get sick. Just his luck.

Like many in the Weyr, J'cheyn wasn't known to be a fisherman. Thankfully, Savaceth liked to keep him company, and in this case, was more than a little helpful. When a wave came to sweep him off his feet, the green dragon had no trouble keeping Hers steady--saving both her rider and his haul!

That large packtail that had been teasing the Weyr for sevendays was still on the loose. N'ceph had thought, maybe, he might have finally caught it--but no. Just like every other fisherman who tried to catch the elusive beast, the bronze rider found himself with nothing but a broken line. Meh.

Spiderclaws. Spiderclaws for days. S'tehl was genuinely shocked to find the beach so full of them, especially after all the recent sevendays of fishing--but he was glad to have come when he did! Something other than fish would be a wonder to eat.

Of course he was going to do great. He was Rahimar. He wasn't the sort of man to fail, and though he wasn't much of a fisherman, he was damn lucky. This day was no different.

Character: Astriana and Blue Moratath

Astriana was out fishing for the seven day, having put a net into the water. She eventually noticed the tug, so began to bring in the net. Unfortunately, a wave came at just the moment, making it a struggle to keep her net. Thankfully, Moratath had seen his rider's struggle and swam over to help her to fight the wave. Eventually, they managed to get the net onto shore, which was full of packtail.

The sea does seem to like to test you, Mine,Moratath commented to his rider teasingly. While in his usual icy tone, she could pick up on his warmth that he used for her.

Yes, it does seem that way. This time, with your help, we succeeded,she managed a small smile to him.
