While she was literally taking out her own flaws on this rather helpful therapeutic doppleganger, Needle paused to consider something. Her tattoos did have flaws, yes...but that was what gave them character, right? It proved that they were hers. Anybody could have perfection, but these particular flaws were unique to her, and her alone.
If she were to focus on flaws she would like to decimate, she would have to look at herself in the bigger picture: her arm needles, or perhaps her mask. Both of these things were not unique to her so much as they were a requirement of a tribe she had long lost her love for. These things had been detrimental to her from the start. It was the arm spikes she focused on.
She couldn't even hold a friend's baby with them. She couldn't hug her sister with them, nor her boilfriend. They were the flaws she needed to remove, and so once she got her hands on her doppleganger...
Needle's copy made a terrible shriek of pain, and soon the wet clatter of bloody spikes echoed in the darkness.

The copy's cry and the sound of the bloody spikes falling to the ground startled her in a way she didn't expect. It was as though everything became clear in that one horrifying moment.
Her attempt to swat away the double's furious attack was so distracted it missed entirely.

That had been too satisfying, she decided. Scarily so. A deeply engrained part of her chastised herself for liking it too much, and it was enough to sober her up a little bit. No more fantasies about ripping out her arm spikes. This was just a battle for the house cup, run by some very strange professors visiting from a very strange land.

Another clean slice, another clear shot, and her double collapsed. Needle left the victor, and immediately went to find either Lattice or Muka, hoping either one of them could help her through her frazzled thoughts.

Oh, great, he was facing off against himself. As if he didn't do that on a daily basis. The Reaper grumbled to himself, words so inappropriate it would be rude to repeat them even in text, as he summoned his giant oar, and took an annoyed swing at his own stupid face.
