Erytheia smiled and waved at Ida. He’d known he’d felt her power, too, when the Chaos was banished. But the smile faded quickly, fake as it was. Was it really gone, the Chaos here? Alastor had said it was. But as he watched a Deep Space senshi with furred ears and tail he had met before talk to Ida and another with feathered wings that he didn’t know approach Ganymede, he knew what the feeling in his gut was. Yes. Alastor’s world was safe. But what about the others? How many worlds had Chaos infested? It just felt so overwhelming. He’d gotten rid of the Chaos on his own wonder, but that now looked like small change to what he now knew was the larger picture — many whole entire worlds fighting Chaos for untold years. He couldn’t help but feel quite inadequate watching the two princesses and the other Deep Space senshi. He’d barely done anything at all. He’d fallen for the manifestations. He hadn’t even loaded the bow, a part he had been made for. He felt so small. ✪

Hawara, Knight of UranusHawara glanced around for the voice that spoke to him, then down. He had never really interacted with the guardian cats, not because he had anythign against them - he didn't! - but simply he'd never had a real opportunity. So, he eased down onto the floor to be on a more comfortable level with the fuzzy creature. "Not a problem at all. I'm Hawara," he exchanged introductions. He wondered if it were rude to pet a Mauvian? Did they enjoy scratches like any other cat? He lifted a hand so that she might headbutt against it and get some good ear scritches if she wished. "I'm doing good actually. I think my group probably had it a bit easier than others but, their mileage may vary. I think my wonder kind of had me pretty prepared for the mind games the Chaos shades tried to play." His group hadn't gotten nearly as physical as it appeared some of the others had, but psychological damage may have been another thing. Still - they managed to do what they were sent to do. Big or small, an accomplishment was an accomplishment. And it all added up in the end.

Eternal Sailor Alastor
Alastor nodded, and for all that he was grateful for, he knew there was still much to be done. It didn’t take him long to determine that this had not been an easy battle, and while it might have been over it didn’t mean that there weren’t going to be more to come. His world might be safe–he hoped–but there was still Earth. There were still other worlds.
They had come here to help him–of their own volition, of course, but it didn’t mean that he didn’t feel responsible for whatever state they were in.
“I’ve been trying for a very long time. I can’t even begin to express the gratitude I feel for all of this. I owe you a great debt, but I don’t think I caught your name before. Are you all right?”
He could see Ephesus and Amarynthos talking to Lysithea still, and though he wanted to check on the boys himself, he knew they were at least in good hands–and they’d have time to catch up soon.
Amarynthos, Squire of the Moon
Amarynthos seemed content to narrate what Ephesus couldn’t see; as he wrapped his arm snuggly around his waist and pulled him close, he said, “Alastor waved to you, he looks happy to see you. He’s still got people around him but we’ll go visit soon.”
To Lysithea, he apologized. “Sorry, that’s his dad. We didn’t have a great time with the chaos and all but I’m glad you’re okay. Alastor’s mentioned you before, so I know he must trust you. Maybe we can meet up again some time, for sure,” he promised. “We appreciate you coming to check on us, let us know if you need anything, okay? We have snacks, we packed lots.”
He didn’t know why he said it, maybe it was just because Alastor was always offering snacks while they were out patrolling and now it just felt normal to offer each other treats.Eternal Sailor AdriaAdria was leaning against the chair he’d settled into; Malus was next to him, tilted back and stretching as he relaxed his sore muscles. He could see where Varuna and Lysithea had gone off to, and he could see Soleiyu and Daphne. He knew they’d gone off together but his heart sank when he saw how upset she was. Carefully, he pushed himself up from the chair; his uniform was still a bit dirty, and there was still a bit of blood on his chest from where he’d been stabbed, but Lysithea had healed him up and he’d be as good as new–if he just got some rest. He was careful not to hurt himself while he moved to them. “Hey,” he greeted, and he was too much of an open book for his expression to hide how worried he was. “Daphne,” he said, but the worry was in his voice, too.

Eternal AtheneAthene had been quiet, his mind still running on the events down in the underground storage area, even as a small puddle of dripping water continued to slowly form around his sodden boots. Somehow, the four of them had managed to do their part and get rid of the chaos that had been plaguing the part of Alastor that they had been tasked with investigating. But now that the danger was over, Athene couldn't help the way that his mind kept running on the chaos illusion - or how close he'd been to being taking in by the fake Liryn. Even now his stomach still felt a little sick at the way that he'd let the not-Liryn drop, could still hear the thing's screech in his ears - and whilst he'd managed to scrub away the tears before they had returned to the hall, he couldn't help but feel that he hadn't managed to contribute that much in their team effort– And another part of him had found himself wondering what would have happened if the chaos had taken another form, would he have been more easily swayed if it had chosen to take the form of Robin? Would he really been able to find the strength to let go if it had taken the form of say Catrin? It took him a while to realise that Selinur had been speaking to him, but Athene managed to finally pull himself out of his thoughts enough to nod at him, because yes of course he'd do his best to help the other. The nod may have been a little distracted though. He had focused more when Illyria had padded her way over, had even managed a small if rueful smile and a nod for the mauvian as he stepped to side slightly - not wanting to drip over her - not with her all sodden from the underground. "Yes, thank you" he said quietly, because whilst he couldn't quite get his mind to stop running on things, he was alive– More than that it seemed like all the people who had come had managed to make it back - and overall they had won - all of them had won. "I think that it might end up being baths all around" he admitted wryly as Selinur stepped over to join them as he made half-abortive gesture to the dripping wet long dark hair that was contributing the most towards the growing puddle around him. The smile widening slightly as Ida joined them. "I'm.. Not so good with scary movies" he admitted ruefully, "But I'm up for ordering out… And I could make popcorn..?" It was an offer. He added "And if Liryn's back then I could invite him over." In part because Liryn adored movie night and in part because Athene really just wanted to see his friend and to hold him. Even though he knew he was being silly about it. tefla sorry so slow, life ate me up

Sailor DaphneThe sorrow and exhaustion might have been clinging to Daphne, but when she saw Adria, it didn't stop her from running to him. The dark-haired man in the chair next to him got a quick nod. Even in this state, Daphne could go through the motions of manners. Her eyes went straight to his chest, and she reached out, wanting to touch him, wanting to hug him so badly, but she knew that she had to be careful. Her fingers hovered, instead, awkwardly over his chest. "Adria," she said, and her voice was still too-soft, and crackly, and strained. She didn't ask if he was okay. She didn't think she needed to. "What happened?" she asked, and it looked like she might be about to start crying all over again.

Princess IdaIda listened as Selinur described the state of his world, nodding along slowly. Very different from here, but they would find some say to save it.
“What awakened on your world?” She asked softly, keeping her voice low and just between the few of them. “Whatever it is, we will help you, Selinur. Whatever it takes.” Maybe a big promise to make without knowing more, but she was confident if they could destroy the chaos here, they could do it on other worlds. They just needed to work together for it, and call in allies. They were always stronger in groups.
Over Selinur’s shoulder, she caught movement as someone waved at her and turned to see Erytheia. She smiled back at him and raised a hand in greeting. Poor guy looked worse for wear. She hoped he wasn’t too badly injured… Hopefully he was just tired, something that would be remedied with time. She wanted to talk to him, make sure he was going to get tending, but Alastor was saying something to him. She still had the others of her group to check with too.
Athene had been every quiet since they’d started back, and she reached to touch one of his wrists, sliding her fingers down to curl around his.
“Are you okay?” She said as she squeezed his hand. “I don’t know what you saw back there… but remember, it wasn’t real. It was the chaos here, trying to trick you.” Though, she’d understand if that didn’t help a lot. The ache of letting her own brother go still weighed on her, under the pleasure in their victory. “We all fought hard, and we made a difference.”

"When the snow and the icec melted and the ground beneath was revealed people got sick - very sick. Trapped under the ice, dormate, was a disease we hadn't seen in such a long time. It was written about...a myth and a legend. For as long as we know we've been aplanet covered in ice and snow with dirty being scarce. When the ground was revealed the hybernating organism regenerated and infected pople. I helped burn hundreds, thousands, of bodies. While everyone got sik and died, from illness or starvation, Selinur kept me alive."
And he worried that if people visited, people other than himself, they'd wind up infected as well. He assumed it was still alive since his planet was so warm. "We didn't get time enough to study it and communications with other planets was down." They'd had no help and had battled it on their own...and they'd lost. They hadn't been able to gain enough information, people involved dying to it, in order to even try and mount a plan of attack aginst it.
"If my planet were to become cold, and frozen, again it would likely cease to be an issue." But the problem was getting his planet cold again - like it used to be. Reaching over to Athene he laid a hand on his shoulder. "Chaos comes in many forms...and it will do anything top survive and destroy worlds. You aren't at fault, if you are blaming yourself, for not defeating it sooner. It was strong."

Quote: Note: Surtur is a DSS but looks human and would not be distinguishable from any other Senshi from Earth. Sailor SurturSurtur wondered for a moment if he’d started losing touch with his purpose in life. Ever since awakening, he’d had a specific goal in mind -- unite as many as he could. If it was through conquest, then so be it.
And while that was still his goal, he had to wonder what good it would do when there were worlds once again under his protection (which he was acutely aware that he’d failed to protect the ones already allied with him after Chaos took over), if there was nothing there but ruins.
Maybe some people survived. Somehow.
“Your Council is probably rolling over in their graves,” Surtur hummed to himself. He kept his arms around Ymir, but it was completely platonic. No matter what he wanted, he never thought of himself as someone who took without permission or desire for him to take -- which, at times, was completely different from each other.
“Thank you, Tyr.”

Ephesus, Squire of the MoonEphesus was appreciative of Amarynthos being able to tell him everything he was missing and to speak for him, because he didn’t think he could string together enough words to make sense.
And for her to have thought about them a lot during that horrible time…? It was so kind and thoughtful that Ephesus could feel the tears well up again. Through his own tears he could see that she must have been really affected by whatever happened. And he knew what forced smiles looked like, because he’d been forcing smiles himself for so long.
He wanted to hug Amarynthos still. He wanted to make sure Alastor was okay. But Lysithea was being so nice when she didn’t even know them.
Ephesus gave Amarynthos a little squeeze in promise of returning to his side in a moment, but gently pulled himself away and, after scrubbing his face with his sleeves to make sure it wasn’t really gross and wet, he reached out to wrap his arms around Lysithea to give her a hug.

Eternal Sailor OberonHe wasn’t really too concerned about Perdita’s hand. It looked like it wasn’t really damaged, but it gave him an excuse to hold it for a little while.
“I know,” he mumbled quietly as he stared at nothing in particular. He’d known it was Chaos that taunted him, but it had been convincing. He could still feel the weight of what looked like his father’s hand on his shoulder -- before throwing him against the tree. And he could still see his smile and hear his voice.
“Maybe later. When we’re not around everyone,” he sighed with a small wave of his hand at the people around them. Not that he looked forward to talking about anything, but he knew it was pretty hypocritical for him to want Michael to talk about his feelings with a therapist and for him to avoid doing the same -- except Haven wasn’t a therapist.
“My back feels like I’ve already turned thirty,” he sighed again, a bit more dramatically this time. It was likely bruised and cut up, but there wasn’t much he could do for it now. Maybe find someone with healing magic but… that required talking to people.
“You okay? That current was stronger than I expected. I hope the rope didn’t hurt you too badly.”

Eternal Sailor LysitheaIt’s his dad…so…Alastor was this kid’s father? Oh. He was lucky then. What a wonderful, brave son to have.
Lysithea nodded, giving a soft sigh and wishing she had the bravery to pat them on the head or…or.
But then the blonde boy hugged her and she stiffened for a moment, before she allowed herself to hug him in return, pressing a small kiss to the top of his head. It was a habit that Varuna was getting her into but…after today, she really couldn’t help it. “You’re okay. Alastor’s okay. We’ve all made it out of there, and it’s all over.” Her voice was soft, gentle and her heart felt like it was going to pound out of her chest. “We’ve got this, you’ve been so brave.”
Honestly? They all had been so brave. This couldn’t have been done if they weren’t.
She would see these two again, she had to. Wanted to. And…
Maybe she’d find someone this cute and sweet who would need her too. But. That was a thought for later.
…Much later. Glancing at the dark haired Moon Squire, she mouthed thank you. Clearly, they made a good team.

Amarynthos, Squire of the Moon
Ephesus was too far away from Amarynthos, and he almost followed after him so he could hug Lysithea too, just to have an excuse to stay by his side.
But, it looked like they both needed it. He smiled when Lysithea mouthed her gratitude to him, but he didn’t want to crowd her or Ephesus.
“That’s what I’ve been telling him,” he said, hoping that if Ephesus heard it from more than just him he’d start to believe it. “He was really brave, I’m really proud of him. But I’m glad this is all over. I want to see Alastor, the real Alastor. This is my first time anywhere other than the Moon.” Sort of their first big battle, but he didn’t want to say that and remind everyone of how inexperienced and new they were. “I know this means a lot to Alastor, so it means a lot to us too. I’m really glad there were so many people willing to help. But, I hope there’s not a lot of chaos like this out there in the universe. But, we’re going to try to get stronger so we can help more.”
And be safer.
He knew Effie couldn’t help but cry, and he’d never blame him for that. Amarynthos just wanted to get stronger to make sure he didn’t have anything bad to cry about.
Eternal Sailor Adria
“I’m okay,” Adria insisted quickly. “I made a mistake and the chaos got a one up on me. But Lysithea healed me, I’m okay. I promise, it looks worse than it is.”
Whatever pain or discomfort he had was already forgotten–at least, for the moment. He didn’t let her hand hover for long; he didn’t want her to look at it and just worry, so he wrapped his arms around her to give her a good squeeze. “I’m just going to rest and take it easy for the rest of the day, but it’s nothing that isn’t going to heal, I promise. And everyone else got out okay. I just made a mistake, but it wasn’t even a really bad one. I’ll tell you all about it later, but it’s really not even a good story. What about you? I’m worried about you, are you okay?”

“My name is Erytheia. I, um…” The knight of Cosmos suddenly felt quite awkward. This man was asking him if he was alright. It should be the other way around. It was this senshi’s world that had just gone through hell and back. “I’m going to be okay, I think. I just… saw some things.”Erytheia, that’s an understatement. For having so many feelings, you are the absolute worst at expressing them.He could practically hear the berating in Tama’s voice. “Maybe we can talk about it later, if you don’t mind? I… don’t want to kill the mood.” He sighed and then there was that fake, forced smile again. “Your world is free. Enjoy this moment.”Erytheia, of all people, knew it might not last. ✪

Eternal Sailor Alastor
Alastor didn’t need to pry to understand what seeing some things might mean. “I will, thank you,” he promised, because he knew if he didn’t enjoy this now he might not get a chance to later. Already, there were thoughts building into an ever growing ‘to-do’ list while he was up here.
The chaos might have been gone but he knew there was still so much work to be done. And, not just here. On other worlds too, probably. And Earth, definitely.
“I’d like to talk later, yeah.” He might not have known Erytheia, but he recognized a smile that didn’t quite reach his eyes. “Whenever you need, send me a message and we can meet up. Especially if you’re having a hard time getting back to being okay.”

Eternal AtheneWhilst Athene had been keeping quiet about his thoughts, mayhaps he should have known that Ida would guess– After all the two of them had known each other for years and had been friends for equally as long. He let his hand curve over her fingers in turn as he gave her hand a gentle squeeze back, his voice more quiet than normal as he admitted "My head knows that.." Because his head did know that the Liryn had been fake "But…" His voice trailed off, a part of still not wanting to admit to how close he'd been to being taken in by the thing that had taken his friend's form, only for Selinur to effectively sum of the thoughts that had been tripping over themselves in his mind anyway. Athene looked from one to the other before giving Ida’s hand another gentle squeeze "Thank you, both of you" hesitating before admitting quietly I think I'll feel better after I speak to Liryn - I mean I know that.. That thing wasn't him, but a part of me just wants to hear his voice." His lips finally quirked into another small smile "Even if it means listening to him go on about missing out on seeing a new home world." And perhaps Ida would get the reference, given that the small mauvian that was their mutual friend had never made any secret of his desire to visit all the home worlds and wonders - or at least as many as he could get invites to. He paused and then added "But I'm glad that I was able to be of some help - and I'm even more glad that the chaos is gone."
