"It's about ******** time we got the party started." He muttered, glancing up from where he'd settled in with his own communication device -- or maybe it was his cell phone. Having returned from handing out the handful of crystals he'd been given he had definitely started playing some sort of game on his phone. But now that Nephrite was on his way over with a handful of newbies there was no reason why they couldn't all power up, right? He tucked his phone away before twisting a ring on his finger, waiting to catch a nod from the one in blue before powering up. He'd cut a fine line in his suit, tall and slender. Standing in his uniform now he seemed somehow more pulled together -- less like the suit in an anime voted most likely to irritate the rest of the board and more like someone ready for a tactical operation, mask drawn up over his face and coat piped with a bright red in warning. Those who had managed to connect with their crystals would notice the shards begin to pulse at the approach of the first officer in green, the glow intensifying as the second of the 'Bosses' powered up. With a sigh the one in blue tipped his head to look at his companion in purple. "Let's join them and get this meeting underway." It was time to send a message to anyone who might be watching anywhere nearby that they were here and that they were presenting a unified front together. He plucked his talisman from a pocket and powered up, immediately joined in doing so. The gentleman in the purple tie tugged at his coat as his suit gave way to greys and a deliciously dark plum. His expression was stern, his stance attentive. Beside him the one in blue seemed deceptively delicate, his well-tailored suit replaced with a coat that seemed slightly oversized, the color of dark midnight with a cape that flared out in bright blue behind him. As the one who had been doing the most speaking so far, he was obviously the diplomat to the 'muscle' that surrounded him. When all four were powered up any activated crystal shined brightly, giving off enough light to be a fine substitute for a small lantern. The crystals would pulse steadily, signifying a large spike in energy. "Wonderful, they seem to be working -- now if we can have all of your attention, it's about time we made introductions." He paused for a moment, waiting briefly for conversations to wrap up and for everyone to move closer. "Some of you are already familiar with us from when you were recruited. For those of you who do not, I am Zoisite. My companions are Kunzite," he gestured to the man on his right, " Jadeite," he gestured to the man on his left, "and Nephrite." His final gesture was in front of him towards the man in green making his way forward through those gathered until he was standing on the other side of Kunzite. "We have called you here tonight because Earth needs you. We have been alerted to the presence of an unidentified creature. This creature is capable of calling others to it and, if permitted to escape we may find that our other objectives in this town become more difficult amd we may meet with additional resistance. Either way, this is what you were all recruited for -- to defend our home, our world from invaders." Zoisite was passionate and clearly had a knack for speaking. Despite the serious of the nature at hand his demeanor remained warm overall; welcoming, reassuring. "The crystals that you've been given are to be used to track down sources of Energy. For those of you who have managed to synch with yours, you'll notice that they are currently responding the presence of myself and the other Generals. Pay attention to the way they respond to others. At your current rank you won't be able to tell whether or not that flashing is a warning or a sign to your benefit without investigating the source so it is imperative that you keep your communication devices on you at all times and learn to work together." He paused, glancing around, seeing that some of them had already started to form small groups and talk with one another. That was a good thing. Hopefully it meant this mission would help strengthen bonds while teaching them to work as a unit. "We will now allow brief questions and then we will be dividing you into groups to put your tracking skills to the test." [[ The next mule post will come in 24hrs and we will DEFINITELY be splitting into groups then. 100%. ]]

Uvarovite answered before Azurite, which was just as well, he glanced over towards the man and arched an eyebrow waiting, as he explained, adding a nod of affirmation that yes, what the man was saying was accurate to the best of his own knowledge as well. “Sorry…” He added quietly, apologizing for not being faster on the draw, and probably making people feel like he wasn’t capable of answering. Nephrite of course, made the activated crystals glow fervently. Then, in oh so short order, Red and Black, a mask drawn over his face against skin not unlike his own, Midnight and Blue, Plum and lavender grey, and so much power that the crystals could have been lanterns. His heart quickened to hear that they had found a creature. Not an artifact, not like the things he had normally been called upon to study and catalog. Things, coming together, like pulling tight a knot, something secure that could help build the ultimate design. At least they would work together, they could do this, communication might not be his strongest point but he could feel the need to rectify that. It wasn’t like he was incapable after all, just awkward. And if lives depended on it, which, it did… Well, he wasn’t a fool. “Do we have any intel on the creature that can be shared at this time? Sirs?” He asked carefully. “Shape or, size?” He didn’t ask, ‘how dangerous’ because… well, they were going out in teams after all. .

Zinkenite, freshly transformed, and pleased with the result of his attempt to use the crystal, now flaring to life because of the proximity of the Leaders, the bosses… Shuffled his way over to greet the people who had freshly emerged behind Nephrite as they powered up. “Welcome! I’m Zinkenite.” The tall man with long dark hair greeted them. “Exciting, isn’t it?” He added clapping his hands together carefully because he wasn’t sure of the durability of this strange ‘energy’ reading crystal just yet. “Though I’d try and be social since, after all, we might be on teams together! “

Tourmaline stopped what she was doing as the silver-haired man approached their small party, peering up to him with vibrantly green eyes. She had been watching Stibnite's demonstration and was seconds away from asking the other woman how she'd done that as a follow up to the question she'd asked Azurite. She'd caught his apology and would likely kick him for it later -- she wasn't sure why she felt the need to, but something like that was probably something worth following up on. "Just like that, hm?" Her brow lofted as she watched him, once again hit by that nagging sense that he was familiar, or should be familiar to her. It was probably a bad time to throw out pickup lines of any sort to see if there were any that he responded to in order to confirm whether or not they actually knew one another, given he'd just gently chastised her for waving her crystal about. Instead she did as she was told, thinking of how she'd drawn the energy from her talisman to 'suit up' not long ago and reversing that idea, pushing just enough of her own energy into the crystal for it to flicker before lighting up like a pulsing beacon in her hand. She dropped it, the crystal thudding to the grass, her heart pounding and eyes wide from a combination of the startle and the sudden brightness of the glow eminating from it. With a soft curse she crouched down to pluck the crystal from the grass and it instantly began to glow again, pulsing steadily now that all four of the Division Leaders had powered up. "Earth's Mightiest Heroes," she muttered to herself, shaking her head. "Avengers Assemble?" And then, looking to the silver-haired man once more. "Usually people tell me their name before they tell me what to do. Tourmaline, and you are?"

"Very good." he smirked as Tourmaline's crystal lit up, matching the glow of the others who had also figured out how to make their divining rods work. He had a feeling that their Bosses would be tickled that everything was working as planned given how much effort he knew had been put in to making sure the crystals worked. They needed then to be able to find whatever it was the Bosses wanted. Everyone seemed to be picking up on how to use them with relative ease as well which was another good sign. He had been about to tsk at Tourmaline for dropping her crystal but the younger woman had picked it up fast enough, though he could have done without the pop culture references. "Name or no you obeyed anyway." His eyes were bright as he looked down at her, still wondering why there was a nagging feeling that he'd seen her somewhere before. "Uvarovite, Special Operations."

"Explains why you already knew." Stibnite's voice was easy as she sucked in a breath and glanced at the man with the long, silver hair and green eyes. "Stibnite, Security Detail." She offered him in response as well. Palming the glowing beacon of a crystal in her hand, it was her turn to glance between Tourmaline and Uvarovite. At least one of them seemed to think they knew the other one outside of the after-hours attire. Interesting. Might be a smaller world here in Mayet than she had initially thought. Slipping past the pair and their pop culture references, Stibnite moved towards Azurite, reaching up to place a hand on his shoulder. His questions, his choice of words, showed he was a man of knowledge but also betrayed his nerves to her. "No matter what it is, we can handle it." Speaking calmly, firmly, her body showed how practiced it was in the matter of 'hunting down creatures'. After all, she had been brought in for her abilities both in and out of uniform. Those in front of her had seen talent for some reason and asked her to share it with them. "Whatever needs to be done, we will do."

Azurite glanced at Stibnite and blinked, nodding. “We …can.” He said trying to sound as assured as someone who worked security. “But I am always more comfortable with as much information as I can gather in a reasonable amount of time. I’m sure they’ll give us what we need to know, but…they also invited questions so…” He swept a hand through his hand and quirked a slightly forced smile that grew more sincere. “it will be, exciting as well as important.” he nodded. “I wonder what our teams will be like.” He added glancing around, new faces just arriving, groups forming… Getting to know each other, preparing to work together.

Tourmaline had responded to him, and he managed a brief: "Good to know, I'll keep that in mind." to her before the crystals were handed out and he did something that he rarely ever did. He shut up. Instead of voicing the plethora of questions that came to his mind, instead he shut his mouth and listened. Falling into the same sort of observational mode he had the other day at the gallery. Taking in the surroundings. Feeling the vibe of the people who started to gather around them. The fact that there was an imminent threat to the planet - while shocking - was not nearly as surprising as he'd thought. A small sardonic smile crept to his lips, and anyone who knew him would know exactly what that smile entailed. Oh Irony...But he focused as directed, felt the tug of the energy around them as he managed to clear his mind and get the crystal to grow - much like he had become used to the talisman on his belt in the last four years. It was the same headspace he slipped into when he stepped into the ring - a focus inward while still being aware of the outward - very little external noise - just the here and now. He noticed Stibnite had walked away to speak to one of the new people to join them and nodded. His internal respect of her rose quite a bit in that moment - Morale was important, and he was glad someone who worked security recognized that. She was doubtlessly going to go far. He could only hope he could do the same. He may have eschewed his family's traditional path - but sometimes fate had a way of making you walk it anyway. He almost laughed, but suppressed the urge. Nobody present would get the joke. At least not yet. But, hopefully once they got to know each other. He'd keep quiet for now, and observe for the moment - at least until it was time to split up into teams - then he'd of course have to introduce himself to his team mates - or maybe not, but in the moment, it seemed discretion was going to be the better part of valor.

The entire ride up, King had found himself drawn to their host. There was something appealing about the man that just seemed to scream that he was not only dangerous but far more than meets the eyes. It lured King in, made him want to know more and... His thoughts broke at the overly cheerful voice of the elevator. Did they pay someone to be to cheery when recording that? Following, King watched as they basically retraced their steps before going past the way to parking and out into what could only have been the true entrance to the Foundation. "Impressive." He muttered to himself, glancing around to only realize they were heading towards a small group of men and women. Was their who called them? He got his answer as he watched Nephrite change his appearance. Eyes doubling in size, King looked down at the talisman he had been holding and ran his finger along the red stone. If the man was right then this... He focused, relived the moment he suddenly felt connected to the piece and then suddenly everything changed. Gone was his jacket and dress clothes. Gone was that stupid name tag and with it the odd senation something was different. Something was different. He was different. He was more. Don't ask him how but as he watched the tree others who joined Nephrite, as he held the crystal they handed him, King...no Spinel, knew that everything was better than it had been ten seconds ago. Until an odd man joined them, chattering away. It took Spinel a second to shift his eyes from wonder to a pleasent smile as he offered the new comer a hand. "Indeed we might. Spinel." He said with a nod. "I'll let the others introduce themselves as we just met ourselves. Been here long?"

Eyeing his salmon-pink crystal, Morganite watched it flare into life. He looked up and saw three others transform into what appeared to be much more elaborate uniforms than those gathered were wearing. Then the Boss in front of him transformed. "Wow, neat," he murmured. They were introduced as Zoisite, Kunzite, Jadeite, and Nephrite, the one they had come outside with. The Bosses. He studied them, studied the waiting group; some of them had already powered up. "I guess I'm supposed to be able to do that too..." He concentrated on the crystal resonating in his hand, and before he could blink he was wearing a dark grey uniform with salmon-pink piping, a strange power and energy flowing through him. "Neat!" he grinned quietly, looking at the crystal. "You're a handy little thing." One of those already transformed made his way over to the group of three newly-minted soldiers and introduced himself as Zinkenite. Good-looking fellow, too. Spinel had already stepped forward and engaged the man in conversation, but that wasn't going to slow Morganite down any. He was eternally sociable, and he had some meeting and greeting to do! He nodded at Zinkenite and Spinel. "It's very exciting!" The surge of energy made the white-maned man feel even more confident -- and conversational -- than he normally was. "I'm Morganite," he beamed, holding out his free hand to Zinkenite. "It's a pleasure to meet you. Yeah, we could end up on the same team, couldn't we? Wonder how they're going to divide everyone up?" Morganite wanted to meet everyone! He hoped they all got to work together at some point.

"Fine questions, Azurite." It was Kunzite who spoke up this time. "If our information is correct the creature that we are looking for this evening should be in a form resembling that of a cat. While this creature may look like a standard house cat, I assure you it is much more than that... And where there is one, there are generally more." His expression seemed neutral despite the seriousness conveyed in his words. He was calm, conveying the facts as he was aware of them. "These creatures call themselves Guardians, according to the databases we've been able to restore. They are capable of verbal communication and posess a humanoid level of intelligence. It is our goal to intercept one of these Guardians," he paused briefly, looking around to those gathered before continuing on. "They are not from our world and our last encounter with their kind did not go as it should have. We would like the opportunity to broker peace, to let them know that our actions are in the best interest of Earth and its inhabitants. We do not intend to let them erase our history before we can learn from it." When he paused again Zoisite stepped up, resting a hand lightly on the other man's arm before stepping past him to continue addressing those gathered himself. "By embracing our powers and abilities this evening we have sent out a message that we are here. They may view this as a challenge, which is why you have each been supplied with a weapon to defend yourselves with. It is our hope that they view it as an invitation, however, to come speak with us on our terms, but in the event they do not... You are permitted to capture them by force." He gestured to Jadeite who huffed before hoisting three duffle bags filled with equpment onto his shoulders, leaving the other man to assign each bag to a specific officer in the field. "We have selected three individuals to lead teams this evening... Azurute, Stibnite and Uvarovite. Each of you will be assigned three additional officers and a location to search. Your divining shards will lead you towards sources of energy and we are expecting results." Once Jadeite had finished dropping off the bags he looked back to Zoisite. "Are you going to tell them how they're going to know whatever they find isn't a regular cat? Beyond it being smart and able to talk?" Before Zoisite could answer Kunzite spoke again. "You will know that it is a Guardian by the mark on its forehead. In this case, we are relying mostly on translations from texts that referred to a 'guiding light' so we believe it should be a star on their forheads." And before he could continue any further it was Nephrite who spoke up. "We are waisting time. The longer we stay here the more time that gives them. The field mission begins now. Azurite, your team consists of Morganite, Tourmaline and Benitoite and you'll be searching the Riverside Docks. Stibnite, your team is Nitratine, Zinkenite and Painite, you'll be heading to the Railyard & The Station. Uvarovite that leaves you with Spinel, Leucite and Regalite and we'd like you to search the Warehouse District. Form your groups and move out." ------- OOC: At this time you may exit and proceed to your team's designated role play thread! Team One - Riverside Docks Azurite - Captain Morganite Tourmaline Benitoite Team Two - Railyard & The Station Stibnite - Captain Nitratine Zinkenite Painite Team Three - Warehouse District Uvarovite - Captain Spinel Leucite Regalite

Azurite straitened, his shoulders drawing back as he tried to find his full height and whatever confidence in this assignment that would go with it. Honestly, he was shocked he was feeling as calm as he was all t things considered. Especially since they were apparently looking for… A … talking alien that looked like a -cat- and had a star on its forehead. He took the bag with as much solemnity as he could manage, for someone who heard what sounded like one of his own cats jingle-balls inside. “Alright, team… with me! We’re heading to the Docs! Let’s make this fast and do them proud!”

“Oh… I’m newer than some, older than others, Time… “he waved his hands. “I spend so much of it studying I’m mostly concerned if it’s nighttime or not.” He said with a grin. “Oh… I… guess that answers teams.” He murmured blinking. “Well. Best of luck to each of us! let’s speak later, shall we? I’ll go join my team!” Zinkenite nodded to the newest arrivals and hurried to find the one he was assigned to so that they could hustle to their assigned areas, and so the hunt could begin.

"Uvarovite, hm?" She eyed him up and down, trying to figure out if anything specific stood out as to exactly what about him was familiar. That nagging sensation seemed determined to stay, but look as she might she couldn't quite peg it. She'd figure it out eventually, likely the moment she stopped thinking about it. In the meantime she could... Have all of her thoughts interrupted as the next phase of their education kicked in. She listened, processing the information and sorting it into necessary compartments to mull over again. What she really took out of it was that Zoisite had one hell of a circus to keep together, Kunzite probably read textbooks for fun, Jadeite was probably wicked fun at office parties, and a complete tool every other time and Nephrite had no time for anyone's nonsense. She liked all of them already. "We'll have to catch up later, Uvarovite, Special Operations. My team's over this way." Tourmaline flashed him a grin, waving goodbye along with a wink in his direction before turning to join Azurite and the other two members of their team. [Exit to Riverside Docks]

"Yeah, I get that about time," Morganite grinned back at Zinkenite. "It's so easy to lose track of it, especially when you work nights like I do. I'm a bartender, so I'm kept pretty busy all night, doing this and that, mixing drinks and talking to customers. I talk a lot, just so you know," he laughed. "But anyway, time. Time has no meaning these days, does it? it's like weirdly there and not-there at the same time." He heard the team announcements and realized their little trio was being split up. "Azurite, Tourmaline, me, and Benitoite. Sounds like a fun group going down to the docks!" Morganite reached out to shake Zinkenite's hand again, then clapped Spinel on the shoulder. "Good luck, boys, and happy hunting! Hopefully we'll be able to get up and talk some more later." He was really looking forward to that. Turning, he nosed around for the one called Azurite. He finally located him and made his way over, nodding at the other two standing with him with a grin on his face. "Soldier Morganite reporting as ordered!" he lazily saluted the blue-clad team leader. "Let's go get us some kitties!" [exit to Riverside Docks]
