Capt. Chambersite

He could feel his eye twitch a bit. He knew he was at fault for not following orders, but most others didn't either. Even ones that said their rank and powers didn't go into their strengths and weaknesses. The General was right, they were the ones in the wrong in this instance, and he wasn't a psychologist but he could tell it was partly human nature, something that the General himself seemed to have forgotten about. Most would follow other humans and by the time one got to the end, unless it was still up and visible to them, would most likely forget what they were supposed to be saying and how to introduce themselves.

He leaned up in his chairs, elbows on the table and hands folded together as he rested his chin on top of them a bit. He ignored the flirting going on in the room. Somehow, he doubted that the only way to loosen things up in here was to imply sex.

And after a few moments he nodded. "Can't say I have any special abilities, so I appreciate the assignment." It would be interesting to see how much they listened to him at least. He hadn't ever really tried giving directions to a Youma before. He sent a small smirk towards the General. "Though if you were in need of someone who could whip up some delicious food for a meeting such as this, you could have asked me. I would have been happy to prepare a spread." He said with a chuckle. It was a light-hearted poke, though he was sure that the General wouldn't be happy with it. Still, if anyone was going to have a meeting they knew at least someone who could provide some food.

She did not understand why people hesitated to introduce themselves, with several choosing not to speak at all. If they'd been recruited, it wasn't as if privacy was much of an option. The walls had ears, down in this castle. Basic information about people, especially, wasn't so hard to come by, and that was all Faustite anyway.

Cybele would not have minded knowing about who she was working with, but then, she supposed the option was there for her to ask around later.

She nodded silently upon hearing that she was to be on the first line of defense against Order, along with a few of the other higher ranking agents. It was what she had been recruited for, after all. It was about time that she ended up using her abilities in a situation like this. She made sure to pick out the one called Scheelite from among the crowd, not that he was difficult to spot with how bright his clothes were.

Then, she turned back to Faustite. "Do you plan to set fires?" she asked. "There could be benefits. It would help with the cover up story, if civilians are harmed, but I would like to know ahead of time."

For some reason, the thought of unfettered flames made her skin crawl.

General Faustite

Were it not for certain distractions (Taenite), he would've remembered to give details on the building, he told himself. He beckoned no one in particular, and an overgrown firefly squid materialized at his side, as if still submerged. He opened his hand to it in offering, and from nothing sprang a rolled piece of paper, which the squid promptly snatched before it started smoking. Its many arms unfurled the piece to display a scaled view of a towering office building, from when it was first constructed.

"We're looking at the Farnsworth Building," he answered Eveite. His finger drifted along the page, lingering on various points of interest. "It's home to several different office firms, from printing to accounting to information and advertisement. Erected twenty years ago. Cameras are likely to be original." So were the sprinkler systems.

He gestured his youma companion to float over to Eveite with the map, where it burbled earnestly. Doing so bought him time to address Miyamoto, at whom his lip twitched. "Youma compulsorily follow orders, which makes them useful. Agents follow orders and intuit from those orders, which makes them more useful. Agents who can't or don't follow orders are more useful as youma. Don't worry if you can't get the hang of following orders, Miyamoto; we can youmafy you yet.

"And Captain," he shifted to Chambersite, "commanding youma isn't a special assignment. It's a staple of your rank. And cut the crosstalk about food." He wasn't just hangry, he was ******** pertinent comment received a shake of his head. "No, but fires follow me. Infiltration can invent an appropriate cover story in either case."

Faustite breathed a smoky sigh, waved his youma toward him. The dripping, bubbling squid passed over a handful of attendees before reaching its General. "The operation will begin at 2PM on the seventeenth. You will see me beforehand for your positioning.

"If there's nothing else, you're dismissed."

So ends the plot pertinent posts for this ORP! Feel free to have your characters mingle or make plans or throw shade at Faustite, just remember that you need at least 500 words and a clear exit to count this ORP for requirements! Faustite is also available for PRP afterward.

Thank you, everyone, for attending! It was a lot of fun <3 Stay tuned for the second ORP at/around 5/17!

"I feel as though I should be saying that to you." Corvusite muttered, but nodded his confirmation all the same. He rolled his eyes with a slight grin. "When are you ever pleased with me..." The senshi's fingers twitched for a minute before he crossed his arms. "Ah.. Replacing me already are you? Well it makes sense I suppose." They did have a history... Experience...

He sighed, letting his thoughts drift off. "I will let you know if I see someone like that." Corvusite mumbled. His fingers twitched. "It seems that way.." The blonde agreed. He hoped that no one thought of trying to make small talk while they were waiting to strike. "But... As you said, if anything happens, I won't be pleased." He curled a finger around another.

Their host spoke again and Corvusite glanced to the side. "I suppose we're done here? Unless you had anything else you needed to see to while you're here? Was there anything you needed me to do or should I just leave?" There was a vague hope that there weren't other errands that needed to be accomplished. Beniotite was already fortunate enough that he had agreed to this exchanged.

Lt. Turquoise

Lieutenant Turquoise listened silently when everyone introduced themselves. Couple of them had mentioned using fire elements which to Turquoise was a recipe for a catastrophe. Flashbacks from her earlier missions from the time before her combat focused retreat came into her mind and for a moment she had her doubts. She had tried to forget those memories for so long and now they came back, haunting her. That mission when she had to pretend to be a civilian, captured by Negaverse. That night had ended up to be a literal hellfire and one the most traumatizing moment in her life.

Maybe this was a bad idea. Maybe this mission would end up going horribly wrong. Maybe the past would repeat itself or something even worse would happen..

Or maybe not.

The past was the past. Maybe this mission was different. Maybe she didn't have to play dead this time. At least this time, she could have an impact on it. The teal-haired lieutenant was just about to apologize for her late introduction when Cora jumped on the table and did the exact same thing and more. And when she was finished talking, Turquoise just couldn't speak. She just couldn't speak.

Cora

While others were introducing themselves, Cora had been on a floor, feeling dizzy even though it had been some time after she and the teal-haired lieutenant had been summoned in the meeting. Faustite's orders brought her back to this day. Oh yeah, she hadn't introduced herself yet. How embarrassing.

Cora stood up, shook whatever dust her fur had gathered away and jumped the nearest table. She made a little circle before sitting down and clearing her throat. "Ahem. My deepest apologies for not introducing myself earlier. You see, I haven't got used to that summoning thing yet. I think that's my weakness, the motion sickness." Cora let out a soft sigh before continuing. *My name is Cora. I was brought to this side about a year ago. Besides mauvian duties, I can also sing. I don't know how useful it'll be on this mission but perhaps sometime ifuture.... I'm eager to work with you however you feel the best."

Whew. There was a sigh of relief coming from the guardian after her introduction was over. She had a good feeling about this. The meeting seemed pretty organized in her standards. Seriously, the lieutenant she lived with had fussed about this all for nothing.

"Relax, Turquoise," Cora said with a comforting tone. "The general has everything in control…. You worried for nothing."

Cora closed her eyes and let out a light-hearted chuckle, trying to lighten the mood. Seriously, Turq was so tense. She really should learn to relax. Her inner thoughts were interrupted by a clank, coming from a cookie jar as Turq's tote fell on the floor. Her fuchsia colored eyes shot open suddenly, looking immediately at the lieutenant next to her. Instantly, her ears flattened. The lieutenant was staring at her eyes widened, shaking slightly. Was that...fear? To Cora, who had used to see Turquoise cool and composed, showing little emotion, the sight of her being so frightened was bewildering. She couldn't understand her fear. She hadn't seen what Turquoise had seen. She didn't know how ruthless Negaverse could be to their own members if they doubted their higher ups.

Late, I know but I wanted to do this. XD Oopsie, Cora is bad kitty. (Feel free to do whatever you desire to Turq (except killing of course).)

"Far from it. I was tasked with finding him and bringing him back into the fold - as you well know." Rolling his eyes at his companion. "He was like the innocent little brother you needed to protect from the world." And now he wasn't so innocent and he wasn't so little anymore. But he was likely still the same idiot who couldn't handle the idea of hurting others, much less killing.

"Mmm, seems like our host isn't pleased with the corrupt....and isn't in a pleasent mood." It seemed like he was letting his temper show...not good. This was a meeting for information and assignment and he was getting a temper and so easily too. As things continued he shook his head slowly.

"No, nothing else to do here tonight. But we should look into the buildings lay out better. I have a feeling we'll need it - as he said...fire follows him. We might need to know as many exits as possible." Incase for some reason teleporting was impossible.

Though he did get a glance at what the floating squid was carrying about before he returned to it's owner. "Mmm, yes. We should look further into things Corvusite - but I want to go home. Perhaps some coffee before home, if you'd like to join me." For both he hoped.

Corrupt Super Miyamoto.

The General was threatening him, in a round about way, it seemed and what a creative threat at that. All because he didn't want to join in on the go around introduction....how childish, at least in his mind. Oh, he understood the idea of orders and the giving and taking of them. He was a normal person who had once posessed a job, from what he could gather from the boxes he'd left with Wolframite. He was fairly certain he'd done well at his job and had taken orders well enough, there was nothing in those boxes signafying the termination of said job.

But to get so worked up over an introduction, or the lack thereof, that was rather interesting and made him want to laugh or just smile - he refrained from both for now. But it was telling, oh how telling something so little could be. Already he was jugding the general, though he doubted they'd care, but it certainly wasn't the most flattering of opinions which he was forming. Making such a threat all over a simple request, as it had not come out as an order, to let something like that bother you enough to point it out rather than get right down to business.

Someone liked their power and liked to try and put people in place...to make threats and likely follow through with some of them. He figured they wer the sort to remember every little thing someone did that bothered him - every order and request not fulfilled...and to hold onto them all.

As things came to an end he hung around for some moments before turning, moving his hair out of his way, before he left. Trialing a trail of frost and chill with him. He'd participate in this mission but only because he wanted a way to fight senshi and knights, it was the only reason he needed to help with this.

Capt. Chambersite

His smirk faded, but only a little. The Youma had been a bit interesting, though the General didn't seem to like it that much. There must have been a history. At any rate, it was over and they had their orders. Chambersite stood up and stretched. "I was talking in terms of compared to the others here." He said, as quite a few had been left without any real direction other than draining. "Though I know that's from being the only Captain around at this time as well." He finished his stretching and made a note in his own tablet about the operation.

When he was done he looked over at the General again. "And if you're that hangry," He could easily recognize it. He had seen it many times in others. "I'd suggest eating that Corrupt." He said, with a backwards thumb point over his shoulder to Taenite. "Seems he would be okay with it as well, though I doubt it would be the type he is expecting." Perhaps that had been too far, he was sure that if the General's head could have caught on fire like Hades then it would have. He had made an enemy tonight. Interesting. Though not without problems. Faustite was still a General, and if he wanted to, he could easily kill Chambersite.

And if that were to happen, then Chambersite would do everything in his power to defend himself.

He got up to take his leave, telling the Lieutenant that he had helped to come here that he would be waiting for her outside of the room so he could help her get back, and made his way out into the hall.

Cybele

Cybele watched the large floating squid, drawing away ever so slightly as a tentacle whipped in her direction. She did take a look at the map, though, and she even summoned her tablet to make a note of the address, date, and time of the operation.

Others seemed more interested in banter than they did in asking relevant questions or taking notes.

Or they had been truly offended by something in this simple meeting, and Faustite had decided to rile things up farther rather than any attempt to smooth things over.

It wasn't something that Cybele was particularly interested in having any part of, and when the bickering began to edge uncomfortably close to flirting, Cybele decided to take her leave.

Mauvian Gremlin

Gremlin's laugh was low and raspy as he cackled at the general's plan. Blow up a building? Ruin a bunch of filthy humans' days? What was there to be opposed about? The only reason he was with the Negaverse was because he thought the universe was better off without people mucking it up, so picking off a few in an operation here seemed perfectly fine to him.

He wasn't crazy about the thought of so many youma running loose and wild, but he'd just have to take care to stay out of the way of any oncoming monsters.

He craned his head around Rakovanite to stare widened blue eyes at one of the other Mauvians in the room, the one attached to the glowstick general. Given what he'd gleaned from previous experiences, it was strange for Guardians to feel as he did. Most held no ill-will toward human kind, and they took to helping where they could, giving out senshi powers and offering instruction. Gremlin, of course, preferred to watch them burn.

He wondered if the others who'd shown up at this meeting did as well. They didn't exude that unapproachable and nasty attitude, as Gremlin did. They seemed to like the humans they'd chosen to attend with, though Gremlin only tolerated Rakovanite out of necessity. He didn't suppose now was an appropriate time to discuss. Maybe they would be around in Headquarters or something, later...

His ears flicked at the dismissal. His whiskers twitched.

With no questions of his own and looking forward to the treat he'd been promised, Gremlin kneaded at the stiff fabric of his agent's jacket. "Thought it would never end," he huffed. "We gonna go get that chicken, or what?"

---

Captain Rakovanite

It was not a mission he felt suited his beliefs and preferences. If Rakovanite had his way, he would execute discretion, always. Igniting a populated building in the middle of the day where anyone could become involved seemed... a little too busy and reckless for his tastes. Being seen was absolutely nothing he wanted. Even if just in his powered guise by a civilian.

"Hm..." A quiet sound left him, and he raised a hand to pet absently at the very unwilling Mauvian's neck, only to receive a hiss for his efforts.

Well, he had only wanted to attend the meeting to be aware of activities going on within the Negaverse. There was nothing forcing him to participate, and he at least had the information of what was happening, so he could ensure anyone he cared for kept out of the area later. Even if he didn't want to engage with anyone, maybe he should still be nearby, to watch and see who showed up and how they handled things...

Perhaps. It was a thought.

He didn't want to leave if there was anything relevant left to be said, but it seemed to be mostly banter between the smoky general and a few of the other recruits lingering around. Cybele had taken her leave, and being she was the only one he was familiar with, he didn't intend to linger and chat with anyone else.

Besides, he still had a chore to attend to: the cat clawing at his shoulder. "Yes, we will go," he acquiesced after a moment. And with only the briefest of pauses to see if anything else would come up, he flicked away.

"No." Faustite beckoned the air again, and before him materialized the Captain that was so bold as to talk back. Whatever hallway he was expecting to see, he instead faced Faustite.

And Faustite clasped a hand over the Chambersite's mouth, held it fast, spoke low. "You do not get to disrespect me. You do not get to disrespect anyone above your rank.

"I don't care if you want to bake a ******** feast for your next meeting. I don't care if that corrupt wants to hump the other one after the meeting. They both followed the orders that I gave them. The thing that keeps all of us alive is following orders, and when that breaks down, people die.

"Even if it's something as ******** simple as cut the crosstalk, you follow that order. Every time you don't, you show your peers and betters that you can't be trusted. Most of the people that attended this meeting can't be trusted with the lives of their comrades. You're the person who will get them killed because you can't be ******** to follow an order. Do you want that to be you?" He stared his captive audience in the eye, flame taking in what there was to see.

"Be better than them." He removed his hand from the Captain's mouth. "Dismissed."

Capt. Chambersite

After Faustite's tirade was over he felt his mouth. Punishments had been worse at Romano's so he hadn't screamed. He felt it and new that he would have to stay in the castle for a bit to be able to get it to fully heal within a day or two. "Got it." and he walked out.

Sailor Taenite

Because he was a mature adult, he snickered quietly at Faustite’s comment about the building, and leaned close to Cymophane to repeat, “Erected.”

Was he doing it on purpose now that he knew how irritated people got? Possibly. He knew at least Kamacite heard him, and he was one of those who didn’t think it was funny, apparently.

Taenite let out another low whistle as the interactions between General Faustite and the others. While he was amused that someone would be so prudish (or possibly repressed) to make a comment about his half-serious flirty quips, he was more amused when the same Captain got reprimanded for talking back.

“What was the line…?” he turned to Cymophane, since he seemed to be the only one in the room with any sense of humor. “Play stupid games… get burned? No, no, that’s not right,” he sighed, and waved his hand as though to erase what he’d said from memory.

“I’ve got to report to General King Axinite after this,” he said with a sigh, as if that was something horrible but really it wasn’t. “I’m going to convince him to teach me how to make a soufflé. Maybe I’ll be able to bring some snacks for the mission, too,” he said mostly to Cymophane who hadn’t talked down to him or sneered at his ridiculousness.

Eternal Kamacite

While Kamacite didn’t agree with the way others reacted to Faustite, Kamacite didn’t find his fiery personality difficult to deal with. There was obviously a structure to follow and many didn’t.

Himself included.

He stood once everyone started clearing out, and turned to Cymophane for a moment. “I’m going to say hello if you want to wait for me,” he said with a frown, not wanting to hold Cymophane up but thinking he was at least entertained enough by Taenite.

Once Chambersite was dismissed, Kamacite stepped forward, his arms folded into the fabric of his robes that gave him more bulk than there really was underneath.

“I apologize about not making a full introduction,” he said quietly, hoping to give Faustite enough time to cool down so he didn’t end up the next target of his temper. “It’s--...” he started and then stopped, trying to figure out the words, and then sighed. “I’ll do what I can to make sure things go well.” What he wanted to say was that it was troublesome to think that there were agents who could care less about the teamwork involved and just seemed to be focused on themselves.

Cymophane

“Play stupid games, win stupid prizes,” Cymophane recited for Taenite.

He didn’t laugh at Taenite’s jokes as much as he would have if his attention wasn’t split between three different things. First, there was Taenite, who was funny in a ridiculous way, not to mention cute; he really did have great abs. Then there was General Fausite, who was certainly one of the most interesting looking people Cymophane had ever seen, and the disrespectful Captain he soon made an example of. Lastly, there was Kamacite, whose presence Cymophane was always aware of, and whose comfort with any given situation had become a priority for Cymophane.

“I’ll say hello, too,” he decided, hopping off of the table with a smile for Taenite. “See ya, Tae-Tae. Have fun with Axinite. Tell him I say hi.”

Following Kamacite, Cymophane came up beside him to greet the fiery General, making absolutely no effort to keep the intrigue off of his face. Why anyone would want to get on the bad side of a superior officer who literally seemed to be on fire was a mystery to him.

“I introduced myself before, but hi, I’m Cymophane, and you’re on fire,” he said. Figuring it would be rude to touch Faustite to test the heat of it for himself, Cymophane kept his hands clasped behind his back.

General Faustite

With Chambersite slinking off, Faustite looked over the emptying room. Ah, the flirty one was off. It wasn't disappointment that he felt, but the emotion had been foreign to him for such a span that he didn't have a word for it at the moment. Others were approaching, however; he could reflect later.

One face was relieving to see, and the other was unfamiliar to him. Hand on hip, Faustite looked to Kamacite primarily, though he withheld warmth given the room full of untrustworthies.

"Kamacite." He nodded to the sunborn Corrupt. "Don't apologize; I know you'll perform." As the only person in the room with which Faustite had worked together, Kamacite was easily placed even when he didn't finish Faustite's orders. If stationed with himself, then no other officers needed to be familiarized with the Eternal. And at that rank — answering Faustite's orders was optional.

Cymophane, however — Faustite blinked at the Leopard's raffish mien. "******** insightful. Tell me another." Did he think Faustite hadn't noticed? That he hadn't spent the last few years on fire and thus noticed that he was, in fact, burning? That he needed it stated to him explicitly because his observation skills were so piss poor as to rely on someone else to state the ******** basics?

The cindered General shifted his weight, shook his head. "Sorry." However clipped, it was genuine. "Still testy."

Turning, he beckoned over his shoulder. "We'll walk." Better to leave before someone else tried to be snide, and further disrupted any tenuous cooperation.
