Chaos Shenanigans Planning Go!

The easiest way to attract new recruits was through notes around Negaspace, and Faustite spared hardly a surface for that. Torn pages with solicitations for a draining operation were pasted routinely on walls, occasionally on doors, on seats, on benches, on countertops, on computer screens, and a handful found their way to ceilings. Each heralded the same news. Each invited officers new and old.

The second easiest way to attract new recruits was to post those same notes onto youma and set them loose in the city. Be they small, rat-like creatures or floating octopi the size of horses, Faustite had picked a wide array of the Rift's denizens and sent them out with orders to wear their notes. It risked Order's watchful eye, but that was a small expense.

Now he waited in the indicated area. Faustite paced leisurely at the front of the room — an open gallery space in the Citadel that accommodated many tables and chairs — and waited for seats to fill. There were entrances on both sides of the long room, and a balcony on which ambitious agents could land. Vaulted ceilings granted cozy hiding places to reticent youma and mischievous Mauvians.

He knew refreshments were somewhat expected in these meetings, but couldn't trust himself to abstain from them, so the tables sat empty. The chairs did, too, until recruits began filtering in.

The cindercraft General continued to pace.

Feel free to make an entrance! Anyone may join, whether they have signed up or not. If the above does not cover a way that your character would have reasonably heard about the meeting, feel free to reach out to me here or on Discord. I will do my best to field any questions and requests through the duration of this miniplot.

The next post will begin introductions, and will occur within 24-48 hours of this post!

Sailor Taenite

“Alright, I’m here and ready to participate in things,” Taenite announced to the--

“Am I really the first one here??” he frowned at the room, although perhaps it was just because he was a little more enthusiastic about doing things than the average agent or whatever.

And only because for some reason, he couldn’t just get the ability to teleport by being around and helping with paperwork. He was expected to meet others and fill his quota and participate in things. Hence he was there after finding a flier stuck to the fur of some angry looking youma. And even though he helped it by pulling the flier, and a wad of rotting fur, off the creature, it still snapped at him.

The audacity.

“Well, there’s your problem. Where are the refreshments?” Taenite asked, gesturing broadly to a whole bunch of… nothing. Instead there was an anxious looking General… with a literal can of fire in his gut…

Taenite managed not to say outloud what he wanted to suggest, and instead just mouthed the word ‘s’mores’ to himself... and then flashed a grin at the General.

“Hey. Name’s Taenite. Here to participate.”

Cybele

Cybele was usually the one leaving notes around the barracks. It was a surprise when she walked up to find one taped to her own door, and she'd quickly gone through a mental checklist of what she might have done to attract one of her neighbor's anger. Nothing came up. She stayed on top of her dishes and laundry. If she listened to music or watched videos, she wore headphones. She kept to a reasonable time in the shower.

It had been a relief when she'd peeled the note off and found that it was simply an invitation.

Of course she showed up to the meeting room at the appointed time. She would have come no matter what. There was nothing better to do. The Negaverse was her first priority. It had piqued her interest more than usual, though, when she saw Faustite's name attached.

She still had questions about the strange youma General.

She was prompt, perhaps too prompt, as the room was still mostly empty when she arrived. The tables certainly were empty, which was fine with her, even if the other arrival was complaining about it. Sylvite made sure that she always had her fill of cheap snacks. She wasn't sure how many more chips or cookies she could politely eat before she resorted to swearing them off all together.

She gave a deep nod to Faustite, and then the other boy. He was a fellow Corrupt, which was interesting enough that she stared at him for a long moment before she caught herself and settled into a chair, folding her hands in front of her.

"Good evening," was all she said, and then she waited.

General Faustite

To Taenite, he said, "Yes, you're the first. You expecting a medal?" Restraint wasn't one of Faustite's prized attributes. He avoided cursing at or bodily harming the Negaverse senshi for his impudence, and that was enough to warrant a small inner celebration.

Though, refreshments were slowly being reconsidered. Without them, Faustite frequently thought about eating whoever came through the door. Mouthy Recruit Taenite wouldn't be missed by many, and there wouldn't be witnesses either. Really, what was he providing to the Negaverse as a basic recruit? Boy was Emergency Rations at best. And Faustite, a General of some years now, deserved access to emergency rations if he was famished. That was excuse enough for him.

Faustite took a couple steps toward the boy,

then Cybele showed up,

so he rapped a single nail on the table surface and told the boy, in a voice that brooked no argument, "sit down. You'll speak when spoken to."

Cybele would probably rat him out if she witnessed a murder. He'd rat her out if the roles were reversed. Fair was fair. "Cybele," he greeted, without the sound of teeth in his voice.

Eternal Kamacite

Kamacite had seen the notes spread around Negaspace, and of course he wanted to show his support and offer assistance to whatever it was that Faustite was working on. Once upon a time, Kamacite might have kept his head down, tried to avoid eye contact with others. His bright outfit often drew attention that he was not used to.

And although it wasn’t exactly confidence that motivated him, he didn’t feel the need to keep to the shadows. It helped that he was no longer a prisoner of loneliness.

He’d already told Cymophane that he’d known General Faustite for a while. That he’d gone missing. That he was part of the team he’d hoped to see again. Desperately. There was still lingering despair coupled with a renewed hope, but Kamacite tried keeping it to himself.

It appeared as though two other Negaverse senshi had arrived before himself and Cymophane. An eternal and--...

The annoying guy from before.

Kamacite frowned, but maybe Taenite would stick to flirting with someone other than Cymophane. Who of course was with him.

“Let’s find a seat,” he said quietly and made his way to a spot where he could easily listen to what Faustite had to say.

Capt. Chambersite

Like all of the others, Chambersite had seen the notes as well and had been more miffed about their existance than anything. He was definitely going, but why some announcement hadn't been made over the network or something, could the General not use it for some reason? He couldn't really think of any reason and decided that that was just how Faustite sent notes around. Still, finding it on some Youma rat that had tried to invade his kitchen was not taken too kindly.

He had made it in, a bit later than the others, and with a Lieutenant in tow that had needed assistance coming in. The first thing he noticed where the empty tables. If the General was in need of refreshments, Chambersite would have gladly made them, if only for everyone to appreciate his skills. But in the end he was also glad that he hadn't been asked, and the General wouldn't have known to anyway, considering he was still sore from that Senshi fight that the General had found him in.

If the bandages said anything, it was that he was still recovering. He didn't have too long to go, but they did help with keeping the gel he was using on his skin so that they wouldn't hurt as much.

He noticed... one person besides the General that he thought he had seen before, but that was only in passing. Instead he decided to only nod to the General in acknowledgement and take a seat, waiting for whatever it was that the General wanted to tell them about.

----------------------------------------------------------

((Decided to throw Eveite in too because I am just way too up for rp))

Lt. Eveite

Eveite had gotten a note as well, but it seemed to have been taped to the door that lead to the computers in the castle to add to the database. It had still caught her attention though, however she had needed to grab a ride from a Captain to come. Unfortunate that Lieutenants couldn't come on their own, but it made sense. Just because you let someone in didn't mean they needed access to everything. That was how companies got hacked by insiders.

She took a look around the room, concluded that she didn't recognize anyone and took a seat herself, watching any of the conversation that happened to be buzzing around the room, but also taking out her tablet to be able to take notes and whatnot for whatever it was that would be presented to them.

And the first to note was everyone in the room. She would be able to match names and faces to those in the database, and anything she could learn could be added to her own little mental book of knowledge about them. Whether it could be used in the future was not know at this point however.

Epsilon and General Scheelite are here!

===========

"NU UH I'M GOING TO GET THERE FIRST!"
It was the only warning that something was on the way, before a flash of grey and black striped fur went darting into the room. The furred form went careening around the space, hopping off a table, literally bouncing off the walls, and only stopping for a moment to eye some of the others in here. Were those...Senshi? Ah! They were! Now this was majorly exciting! He'd hardly had interactions with Senshi, having been living with Scheelite and Paragonite in Japan the past....well, many years. But now he was here! And he'd get so involved in the war and meet so many people. Including Senshi!

"We have GOT to talk later!"
Not that he left much room for discussion on the matter, for as soon as the words were out of his mouth he went darting off again. This time to the door, where his partner had finally arrived.

"Nice race Epsilon, beat me fair and square. Now let's find out what's going on, hrm?"
The blonde General was all smiles, even as his small companion used his cape as a ladder. Some scrambling later and there was one energetic Mauvian perched on the shoulders of one energetic Negaverse General. Truly a recipe for disaster if left to their own whims.

Thankfully, there was a meeting of some sort to attend to.
Not so thankfully, there weren't snacks. A shame....perhaps afterwards he could dart back to his office and get some for everyone. It'd be a bit rude to just walk out right now, so soon after arriving. For now the pair lingered off to the side, Scheelite not wanting to move too close to center and take focus away from those who called the meeting. His brightly glowing outfit had a way of drawing attention.

Cymophane

After the last big meeting with Axinite, Cymophane assumed these sorts of things generally involved beverages and baked goods, like some sort of corporate meeting in which the people in charge tried to suck up to their overworked employees.

Not that Cymophane was comparing the Negaverse to that. It wasn’t like he knew anything about corporate meetings anyway. He was his own boss, and his job was not your typical nine-to-five. But he saw similar scenes in movies and read the viral Tweets left by snarky, disgruntled employees, so he thought he had a general idea of what it was like.

Hopefully, the Negaverse really was different, and none of the overworked agents in attendance got too disgruntled by the lack of treats.

Cymophane had a frappuccino with him, purchased on the way there. He sipped at it loudly, hoping the mix of sugar and caffeine would give him a much needed boost of energy after a long night of being cute on camera, recording videos while his creative juices were flowing. A nap would be preferable, but duty called.

Besides, he wanted to see this General Kamacite talked about without talking about.

“You’re not going to say hi?” Cymophane asked his fellow corrupt Senshi. “I thought you were friends.”

He hopped up onto the edge of one of the tables, making himself comfortable there instead of using a chair, and offered his drink to Kamacite instead of waiting for an answer. “Want some? It’s caramel.”

Captain Rakovanite

Rakovanite did not like gatherings of almost any kind. If it could be reasonable to sit at home by himself and have as few interactions with other people as possible, he was sure that would be the simplest thing to do. ...But to his deep disappointment, it wasn't really reasonable. He still had to go to his job to make the necessary funds to sustain life. His body and mind still seemed to crave attention, despite how very few people Rakovanite could stomach the mannerisms of (and how tumultuous and terrifying any type of interpersonal relationship tended to be, but he wouldn't admit even acknowledge that).

He still had to collaborate with his comrades in the Negaverse. That was just the easiest and most decently reliable way to get accurate information. The more information he had, the more prepared he'd been when he fought, or when random terrors plagued the city. It just made sense.

So when he found a sheet taped to his usual computer in the computer lab announcing recruitment for a draining activity, with a time and location for a meeting to discuss details beforehand, it only seemed reasonable that he should be present. Rakovanite did not intend to do anything more than simply listen and be aware of what was happening in the city around him. Hearing the plan firsthand would be better than hearing the coverup on the news later. Despite his general disinterest, this was just for the best.

He arrived in a flicker of energy from his teleport, and hung near the rear of the small gathering as he silently studied those in attendance.

Maybe he recognized a scattering of faces from previous meetings, but the only one he knew by more than just face was Cybele. A shame... It might have been nice to see any of his recruits taking initiative or being interested.

Lieutenant Turquoise

Lieutenant Turquoise had been growing more and more annoyed about the fact she was still a lieutenant. It had been years since she was recruited into Negaverse and nearly a year since she had come back to Destiny City. She understood her higher ups wanted to keep an eye on her, for her to prove her loyalty but wasn't she already proven it? She had been good, she had been loyal. Hadn't she?

So, when she found a post note sticking on a youma's head and an invitation to a meeting for the upcoming Negaverse operation, she saw an opportunity. The way the invitation was delivered was highly unprofessional (and even dangerous) in Turq's eyes. But an opportunity was an opportunity, and the petite lieutenant wasn't going to turn it down, no matter how unprofessional it might be.

There was still time between her receiving an invitation and the appointed time. There was time to prepare for the event. Not that she needed much preparing… Except maybe with the food issue. Maybe it would be the best to bring something with her. In case there were no refreshments or even if there were, it would be polite to bring a gift, wasn't it?

When it was about time for the meeting, she grabbed her tote (where she had packed a cookie jar full of chocolate cookies) and sent a message to the first general her tablet could find (Scheelite) asking for lift to the Negaspace for her and the guardian cat with her. Luckily, the summon brought her just where she wanted to.

"Thank you," Turquoise said silently to the bright general who supposedly was the one who had summoned her.

Cora (her journal needs major updating, she is Chaos now)

Cora wasn't sure why the lieutenant with whom she lived for now was so stressed about this meeting. She had muttered something about 'appreciate protocol' or 'who makes invitations to post-it notes'. Well, at least the lieutenant wasn't angry at her at once. She had told her to come along because apparently Cora 'couldn't be trusted to her apartment alone'. What a ridiculous accusation! Cora had never caused any trouble to her.. Except maybe a couple plates on her tea sets. But those were mostly ugly anyway. Such a fuss about couple dusty ceramics!

Not only Cora felt annoyed by the fact Turquoise didn't trust her but the way they arrived in the meeting was also beyond terrible. The cream-colored guardian cat felt her stomach twisting and her head spinning, so much she felt like she was about to faint. "I wiiill never get to used to thiiiis….." Cora groaned silently and slided down from the teak-haired lieutenant's shoulder.

Super Corrupt Miyamoto.

He was not here because he wanted to look good, being the new corrupt that he was, frankly he didn't have a single s**t to give when it came to other peoples opinions on him. He had found a notice and decided it might be a good way to work against order and it's senshi puppets. He was here for no other reason that to do something, anything, against them and their side in this war. One could say he had a serious hate for order - he did.

That was why the corrupted senshi came wandering into the meeting area with frost trailing behind him and a cold mist about his feet as he moved. Long dark hair trailed the ground as he glanced about the room to see who else was here. Well now...that was interesting. He did remember attacking that senshi from behind...he could remember that. To see her a corrupt senshi, like himself, brought a smile to his face.

Rather than approach her though Miyamoto headed for a corner to make himself comfortable against a wall. He didn't need nor did he want attention. He'd listen and hope no one took notice of him. But where was Wolframite now.

He'd seen the notices plastered all about and he'd told Wolframite about them, told the other he would be attending. He was sure the other would come too, at least he hoped so. Wolframite was one of a small group that he knew.

Quote:
Passive Ability:
Miyamoto's passive ability will have the air around him feeling chilly while the ground around his feet will be covered in frost. If his hair is trailing the ground any part of his hair which touches the ground will be surrounded in frost. The trail of frost will reach out six inches from where he is touching the ground, be it hair or feet or anything other part of Miyamoto, and the frost won't melt and evaporate until Miyamoto is ten feet away.

General Benitoite

Why had the other general posted notices everywhere? There were better ways to reach out to people. Seeing the notice on his door had been a bit...annoying. He'd thrown it out shortly after reading about the gathering, he didn't need the paper hanging about his office gathering dust. A note had been made in his day planner so he could remember the meeting, since the planner sat on his desk at all times of the day. A nice reminder of everything he needed to get done for the Negaverse as well as his personal life, he didn't need to worry too much about people seeing what he did as a civilian. Not enough people knew who he was as a civilian and any who wanted to know could find out, it wasn't that hard.

He'd talked to Mason about going, that it wasn't a bad idea to attend, and had offered to bring the blond with him to the gathering. That was why the petite blond walked in with a taller blond at his side. "An interesting gathering....more senshi than officers." He mused in a drawn out manner to the other. His voice low, a whisper even, for only his fellow blond to hear. "I'm surprised...but it's a good thing to see." Very good indeed, though he did hope more officers would turn up. What was also a surprise was when his slate hued eyes landed on a glowing general. "Scheelite..." Where had he been all this time...and what had him appearing again. It wasn't bad thing though. At least it wasn't Obsidian. Obsidian might get the job done and be a good general to have in a battle but Benitoite thought the red haired general was a fair bit unhinged and didn't trust him to do more than beat and kill senshi and knights.

"This is going to be an interesting meeting...I can already tell that." He added while looking for a place for himself and his companion to hide out and observe.

General Faustite

It was heartening to see some familiar faces, and expected to see some unfamiliar faces. In all, enough of a presence trickled in that he could start the meeting now and see some robust turnout. The firecraft General stalked back to his place at the fore of the room, and gave the ragtag assembly a once-over before he started. His attention lingered on Kamacite a beat longer than most.

"I see you've found the notices." Arms folded, Faustite set into a slow pace to and fro. "If we're going to be working together, we best get acquainted.

"I am Faustite. Ranked General. Been with the Negaverse for four years. My abilities are fire-based and indiscriminate. My strength is in tactics, and my weakness — I'm hot-tempered.

"The rest of you introduce yourselves — better we know who we're working with. Name, rank, tenure, strengths and weaknesses. If you have any special talents, like hacking skills or a youma that specializes in tracking, state them."
Arms dropped, and his hand roosted on his hip. As he looked out at the gathering, he noted their outfits, and doubtless powersets as well, were as varied as they were.

"When you're all finished, I'll detail the plan."

Cybele watched silently as more and more senshi filed in, eventually joined by a few officers. They weren't all complete strangers. There was certainly overlap between this crowd and the one that had gathered a month or so ago to retrieve Feldspar, and of course she recognized Rakovanite from the time that they'd spent side by side in the monster's prison.

None of them caught her attention, though. The one who she found herself staring at was someone who should have been unfamiliar. She would have noticed if someone had been leaving a slight trail of ice down in the Rift, she though. His face did not bring any memories back to her, and yet she looked as much as she could into his blue eyes as if they should, her brows furrowing slightly.

She did not think it was her imagination that his eyes were on her, too.

Eventually, the both Cybele's stares and the overall casual chatter was broken up by Faustite's announcement, and when nobody else moved to speak after him, Cybele did.

"I am Cybele, Eternal Senshi of the Hunt," she said. The tenure question went unanswered. If people did not already know her story, they could ask her directly. "My magic can help with focus and perhaps tracking. I was recruited for combat and also do not mind doing any other tasks that others dislike, but," she paused, not really having expected to be asked to examine her weaknesses at a simple meeting, "Perhaps I do not always know when to stop when situations turn unfavorable."

Sailor Taenite

Taenite let out a low whistle, as though he was impressed with the fire from this General. He certainly didn't seem to be in the best of moods. Probably because he was hangry. Should have given them refreshments.

In his normal life, he wasn't used to being ordered around, but he would hate for word of insubordination to get back to anyone above General Faustite.

He made a wide sweep with his arm and lowered his upper body slightly, something of a bow to acknowledge the order, but the gesture hadn't been made with any mocking or ill intention, and his expression remained pleasant.

His eye had caught sight of someone else he'd met before anyway, so as he was told, he went to sit, and leaned against the back of his chair so he could smile brightly at Cymophane.

"Glad to see a friendly face," he beamed, although eventually turned his attention back to the General when introductions were being made.

"Good evening, fellow agents," he said as he stood when Cybele was done with her introduction. "You can call me Taenite, or any night you want," he paused to wink at the grumpy General leading the meeting, if only because he needed to relax, but made sure to grin at Cymophane as well. "My magic is fire whirls. Yes, literal tornadoes of fire. I was surprised, too. Although I'm very jealous that non-senshi agents get weapons. Let me try them out sometime?"

He didn't want to give too much information about himself, because where would the fun be? So he stopped there to sit back down.

Eternal Kamacite

"He is my friend," Kamacite said, his voice quiet and thoughtful as he looked across the room at Faustite. He hadn't seen him in so long it was still a little surreal. He was also cautious about crowding him when he was trying to lead a meeting. And Kamacite wasn't exactly one for trying to draw attention to himself, so talking to him while everyone else was surely going to be looking to him soon was not ideal.

Kamacite glanced at Cymophane's drink for a moment, and then took it to sip. He also decided to ignore Taenite when he showed up, since he didn't seem to spare any attention for him either.

Thankfully he'd already given the drink back to Cymophane before Faustite decided to have them all introduce themselves.

He felt his face flush. While he was no longer purposefully hiding, he never intended to draw more attention to himself than his bright outfit already did.

He flashed a distressed expression towards Faustite, and quickly stood when Taenite was finished so he could get it over with.

"My name is Kamacite," he said, but when he opened his mouth to continue, nothing came out.

While he doubted anyone was actually paying enough attention to care or even remember him later, he couldn't help the sudden anxiety that came with being the temporary center of attention, and ended up sitting back down without adding anything else.
