▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ✧✧✧ Back into the swing of it
PRP - Rogue/Stage2 - ( WC 849)

Thea stared down at the missive she’d been handed while she was out shopping. It had come from the thieves guild, that much she knew simply by the paper it was written on. She’d received enough letters from them to recognize it instantly. Her green eyes scanned the words scrawled across it. To an untrained eye it was a small note about a sale that was going on. To her, and any other member of the guild trained to remember the code, it told her there was a meeting that she was supposed to attend.

She slipped the paper into her top, securing it under one breast so there was no risk of anyone noticing it there, then continued on with her shopping. Theanduri hadn’t gotten a letter in a while since she’d been allowed some vacation time due to having her fourth child. Rydan and her had planned to add to their family and that was where Zasha had come in but Zohra was a bit of an unplanned surprise. She hadn’t expected to get pregnant again so soon after just having a baby. It made her wonder if the guild was over waiting for her to come back to work.

It didn’t matter. She’d discuss it with her husband when she got back. She had enough time to finish what she was doing now then run her items home. Thankfully while Rydan was working the twins could watch their younger siblings so that Thea could run to the shops. She would just need to tell them that she needed to run back out so they knew they had to watch the little ones a bit longer.

-------

She stood outside the door to the meeting place and steadied herself with a deep breath. No matter how long she’d been a member, this place still made her nervous. It was the excitement. Once she felt ready she knocked twice then paused before tapping three more times. It only took a few seconds after that that the door was opened to allow her access to the other side.

Thea stepped in and nodded to the doorman before making her way to the meeting room she knew she was needed in. Perhaps after she was done she’d see if her father was around to talk to. Of course if he wasn’t it wouldn’t be a big deal. She always knew where to find his shop if it was urgent.
As she entered the room she was meant to be in she noticed one of the higher members sitting on the edge of the table with their arms crossed. She couldn’t help the half smile that showed up on her face.

“Hey Alana, weren’t you sent to Tale?” It’d been some months since she’d seen the Oban.

“Yeah but I made it back last week. You’d know that if you weren’t out having more evil spawns.” The woman quipped back at her.

“Aw, come on. You adore the twins.” Thea chuckled.

“Oh no, those two are the reason I have grey hair.” Alana rolled her eyes at Thea before she shifted and handed over a folded piece of paper. “I do need your help though. I know you were supposed to be resting and all that but..” She trailed off.

The hybrid took the paper and raised a brow slightly before looking down at what she had in her hand. Upon opening it she read over the details of the job that required her touch. It was simple. A clean in and out job. The only issue was that it was for a high ranking military official. Not a lot of the guild had her small frame and skill set to match up with it.

“No, that’s alright. I understand.” She said as she pondered over things. “I’d need a basic layout of the house and possible location of the item you want taken. I don’t waste time snooping, you know this. I get all my intel before I go in.”

As she looked up Alana was nodding her head but had a look on her face. It seemed like she was thinking awfully hard. Minutes stretched out between them before the Oban finally spoke up.

“There is a servants position available, we could likely get someone in to do the recon for you.”

That in itself would pose problems but that wasn’t her side to figure out. That was for everyone else. So Theanduri took another look at the paper in front of her before she nodded her head. “Alright.. Get me the information I need and I’ll do it.”

“I knew I could count on you.” Alana grinned as she took the paper back. “Give me a couple weeks and I’ll send for you.”

A nod was given and then she turned to walk out. Thea knew when she was being dismissed and she knew better than to linger around and be a nuisance. Once she was out of the meeting room she turned down the hall and went in search of her father to see if he was about.

(( After taking a break from work to have Zashaduri and Zohraduri, Thea is getting back into the swing of things by taking a job. ))

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ✧✧✧ Serious considerations
Solo - Thief/Stage 3 - WC 1376 (4pts)

Thea sat staring at the floor of her bedroom. She was on the edge of her bed. Her mind was filled with concern on many levels. Mostly because her brother had just left her house after a very heavy conversation. One that brought up several questions. Some of them had been answered but not all of them. Instead now she was left with her mind spinning in all directions. She had just had her last baby, Zohra. A beautiful little boy. But Dovian had come to her and asked her if she would be willing to house another child in the near future. It seemed that Adenah was pregnant with his child but they worried about her boss trying to use the baby against her, and possibly even him, to get things tipped in their favor.

Theanduri was no stranger to underhanded things. Afterall she was part of the thieves guild, being underhanded was kinda in the job description. She broke into houses and stole valuable items upon request of her boss or even a client or two. Not to mention the many times she’s put her fingers into deep pockets while walking the streets. So, yeah, she knew a dirty trick or two. What she didn’t know how to do was fake a pregnancy. She would be working. People would see her. They would be able to tell she did not have a belly. It wouldn’t be hard to put two and two together in the long run for anyone with a brain. And it also wasn’t hard to figure out that she was Dovian’s little sister. In truth she was surprised people didn’t think they were twins with as alike as they looked.

Maybe that was why he had come to her? His child may come out looking like him and if that was the case then it would be no great feat to claim the baby as her own. It made sense in the long run. It wouldn’t raise many questions for her to pop up with another child in her little hoard. She had her older twins and then the two younger, though they were a year apart. Rydan and her had a healthy relationship so another baby that looked like her wouldn’t raise questions. If it looked more like Adenah though, they may have some issues.

She blinked as she thought about that. Adenah looked more like a shifter than anything. And her husband had shifter blood, if his silver hair was anything to go by. Three of her four children had it. The eyes too. They just didn’t sport the shifter skin, nor did Rydan actually.

Thea bit down on her bottom lip as she thought about that. They could claim it was a dormant gene. Of course it would only need to be mentioned if it showed up. Anything Oban could be explained away as her. She looked more Oban than leaf if one ignored her eyes and small pink crystals. So maybe her brother was onto something.

She just wished her brother and Adenah didn’t feel the need to try and hide their child away. How long would it be for? Would Thea end up raising her niece or nephew for the rest of their lives? Was that fair to her brother? Was it fair to Adenah? No, not really. But there was nothing she could do about it. She had no say within the assassin’s guild. And she already knew that the thieves guild wouldn’t touch the child. They had a strict policy about that. Her own children were off limits. Of course Thea had made it very clear that anyone caught trying to bring her children into the fold would face her and her family. No one wanted to deal with her dad or her mother. Dovian served as a good deterrent too. Looks alone meant he seemed like he could easily toss someone around, nevermind the fact that he was a peaceful man.

Her lip left the confines of her teeth only for her to bring her right hand up and rub along her bottom lip with her thumb. Thea wanted to give this idea all the thought that she could. It wasn’t something she could do lightly. This would effect Rydan and her kids as well. While she had already told her brother that she would absolutely help him hide his child away, she wanted to make sure she could do it with the best outcome.

It would need to be discussed with her husband. So when he got home from work she would need to pull him into their room to have a serious conversation. Likely something that would set him on edge. Thea hardly ever had serious conversations. She would need to talk to her twin boys. Let them know what was going on and how to handle things. They would be her extra eyes and ears to make sure their uncle’s child was always safe, never out of the sight of someone in the family.

The thief turned her head so that she could look out her bedroom door to the rest of the house. With six people living in it already it was getting cramped. Adding another, and a baby at that, was going to be a big change. She’d have to see about adding another room on. Maybe her older boys would like a room away from everyone else. It would give them some more independence. They were certainly old enough for it.

With a heaved sigh she got up from her place on the bed and made her way to the door. She needed to get everything in order within her mind so that she had a game plan. If she worked fast then she could get everything ready by the time Adenah gave birth and the baby wouldn't need to wait to have a crib or clothes or anything. Then again, she had a little girl and a little boy right now, so both gender’s clothes were already in the house. That meant she could use hand-me-downs for the time being then get more unique stuff for them later.

Oh there was so much to plan.

She also needed to make sure Rydan was okay with the whole thing. If he wasn’t then this was going to be so much harder to do. While she didn’t think her husband would say no she didn’t want him to feel like he needed to over-exert himself either. And she knew her brother didn’t want that.

Thea paused as she stood in the hallway. It hurt her chest just a little knowing that her brother wouldn’t get to watch his child grow. Not really. Having to look at them from a distance wasn’t really watching them grow and being there for all their firsts. It would fall to her. Theanduri would need to keep a record of everything for them. So that when the time came that they could take them back they would know when everything happened.

“The world is cruel..” She couldn’t help but saying those words aloud.

It was a true statement. In which way was it okay that her brother and his partner had to hide their baby away? Where was it okay that they got to miss all the first and good things about having a baby? Tears gathered in her eyes as she thought about the more sentimental parts to this issue. Never mind the parts that needed a clear head. The emotional side would eat away at her. Would she be enough of a replacement for the child’s own mother? No. That was the simple answer. While she would love them she could never take Ade’s place.

Two tears slipped out and rolled down her cheeks. She would need to strive to make sure her niece or nephew never wanted for anything. She would teach them who their real parents were. She would stress to them the situation and that the secret of who their parents were must remain between family only.

Determination filled her eyes and slowly settled into her bones. She could and would do this for her big brother. For Adenah. For the unborn baby. Thea wouldn’t mess this up.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ✧✧✧ Late night visitor
Solo - Thief/Stage3 - WC 441 (1pt)

The bad part about her chosen profession was that it made her a very light sleeper. So she knew when something wasn’t right, a little off or a little kid wasn’t where they were supposed to be in the middle of the night. Which meant that Theanduri heard the footsteps on the roof of her home just above her bedroom. With no knowledge of a visit she thought the absolute worst. Someone, somewhere had found out she had Sio and Ari and was coming to do them harm. Or someone had figured out she had a family and was coming for her own kids.

So instantly she started to rise out of bed, mindful to not move it too much that Rydan woke up, and stretched her hand under her pillow where she kept her dagger. One of them anyways. Her eyes were glued to the ceiling with a narrowed look. Thea was going to handle whoever it was that thought stepping onto her roof without an invite was a good idea.

The thief was halfway out of bed and glancing toward her window when the familiar three knocks came. A signal. They were loud enough for her to hear but soft enough to not alert the whole house. Her green eyes went to the ceiling again but this time she had a more relaxed expression.

“Essd’s knickers, Adenah..” She said under her breath. Her hand let go of the dagger under her pillow and she slowly slid it back out.

With the now empty hand she ran her fingers through her hair and let out a sigh. It was good to know that the woman was safe. Or at the very least alive. She didn’t think she would come to see her children if she were gravely injured though since that would cause them to panic.

As the woman above moved across the rooftop her eyes followed the sound. She also happened to know exactly where she was going. Thea continued to stare at the ceiling for a time before she heard the three knocks again, this time farther away and more faint. It was to get Siofra and Arkadios’ attention, she was sure.

After another minute she turned to look back at her still sleeping husband and smiled. At least she’d not alerted him. Poor man needed all the sleep he could get. Thea settled back into bed, laying down and watching the ceiling for a time to make sure there was nothing else wrong. Eventually she closed her eyes and let sleep take her once again. She was still easily roused but at least she wasn’t awake anymore

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ✧✧✧ Tasks to be Done
Solo - Thief/Stage3 - WC 2769 (9pt)

Piercing green eyes stared into the window of a darkly lit room as she stood pressed up against the wall on the balcony, waiting. Theanduri was there for one purpose and one purpose only. She needed to complete the task given to her. She’d gotten all the intel that she needed on the heist she was about to pull off. The officer that she was about to rob blind was out for the evening with his wife and his children were asleep in their rooms with their nanny down in her own lodging. There were familiars in the house but they were easily dealt with if one knew how. Thankfully, Thea had two sons that loved animals and so she’d picked up a few things.

Sensing no movement inside she gave a last glance to the outside world, checking to ensure that her position had not been found out by any passing guards or pedestrians that got a little too nosey for their own good. When she spotted none she moved over to the balcony door. Crouching down she got up close to the door and its locking mechanism. Most did not ensure the locks on such doors were as heavily made as the doors on the ground floors. Many did not think someone would waste the time and effort to reach such entrance points.

One hand went into her side pouch and pulled out the picks she’d need to unlock the door while the other went palm down over the wood just below the key hole. One pick was placed into her mouth but the other was held precisely and inserted into the open space easily. She wiggled it gently before she felt it catch then she moved her other hand off the door to take the pick from her mouth. It was entered into the hole along side the other but this one was moved a different direction than the other and when she felt it get into position she moved the both of them together. The motion caused a silent click, and while she knew it was too quiet to be heard by anyone inside she still paused to wait. When no one reacted to it she removed the picks from the door and then turned the knob very slowly before she pushed it open.

Thea kept her ears perked for any squeak of the hingest that she would need to silence. Thankfully there was none and she was able to open the door just enough for her to slip inside. Keeping low to the ground she pulled the door shut so that no one would see it out of place from the outside or even from the inside in case someone came by and wanted to peek their head in.

Gliding across the floor in her crouched position she extended one leg out then moved on tip toes to the other side. Thea knew from previous intelligence gathered that that was where she needed to go to find the gems and jewelry. When she heard a sound out in the hallway she paused for a moment, training her hearing to the movements going on there. From the sound of paws on the hardwood floor it was one of the familiars simply walking along freely in the house. Theanduri was thankful that she’d taken the time to cover her scent up so that any beast would be unable to track her should it come down to that.

As the paws went past the room she was in she began moving once more, this time slower. Thea was being extra careful since she didn’t want to tip anyone off as to what it was she was doing. She just needed to be sure that she got what she was after then left without any mishaps.

At the armoire she pulled out her lock picks again and set to work, this time bringing her ear closer to the slot since the mechanism was a lot smaller. She needed to hear the clicks on this one to ensure she got it just right. When she got them she moved quickly to pull the drawers open. While there were plenty of gems and things inside she was after certain ones. Of course she’d take a few extra to make it seem like an ordinary burglary. Couldn’t have them knowing who was behind the heist after all. It would just be bad for business. The thieves guild worked in the shadows though if they wanted someone to know it was them then they certainly put their tag on it.

When she laid eyes on the pieces she had been instructed to get without fail she snatched them up and put them away in her pouch. Then she took the time to look over what all else was available to be taken. She made sure to grab things that had been near the signature pieces to be sure no one thought they had been singled out. Afterward she thought about what could bring the most coin the the guild. Sure she’d get paid for the job itself but she could make extra for any added profit they made. So Thea grabbed a handful more then tucked them away in a separate pouch. Having her whole haul in one bag was never a smart idea. In case one was chased you could drop the lesser valued one and get away while people thought they had their valuables back. It would take them a few moments at the very least to notice if there was something missing.

She closed up the armoire and then moved back. Thea had one other thing she was supposed to go after. Of course it wasn’t in the room she was currently in and that made things a little tricky. The familiars weren’t locked up but roaming free. So she would need to be silent and unseen in order to not raise any alarm with them.

Making her way over to the door to the hallway she paused to listen, see if there was movement on the other side. When none came she gently opened the door and peered through the small slot. Darkness greeted her and she squinted to see if anything moved. Thea even looked down to ensure there was nothing in front of the door on the floor. A time or two she’d tripped over a beast at a bedroom door without realizing it. Thankful those instances had been at home and not on a job. But she’d take the learning experience regardless. It taught her a thing or two to avoid.

With nothing in the way she pulled the door open even farther to allow her body to slip out. Thea made a note of which door she’d come out of. While she had studied the layout of the building before it paled in comparison to actually having visual confirmation of where someone had been. Her light steps took her to the right, past the children’s bedroom, and down to where the office was. The officer whose home she had invaded kept a home office that he used for when he needed to go over reports and other such things. One such thing being plans.

Theanduri crept into the office with just as much caution, though this time looking over her shoulder the entire time since she knew there was a familiar about that could spot her at any moment.

Inside the office she crossed the room, the only light coming from the twin windows as the moon was uncovered by the clouds. While she was thankful for the light she also cursed it. It meant she cast a shadow and someone could notice that. So she kept low and to the walls when she could.

As she reached the desk she searched the papers on top to see if what she was after was front and center. Not that she was likely to get that lucky but one could hope. When she didn’t find them she moved to the drawers of the desk. Of course she had to unlock them. At least the officer was a little smart. Thea took the time to unlock the desk drawers then searched again. Of course in her haste to find what she was looking for she failed to notice the little trap that would alert someone to her presence. The officer had rigged the top drawer to drop a heavy object when opened. As the thud sounded out she paused in her search and cursed.

Instantly she heard movement downstairs. A whole commotion was starting. Thea cursed and snatched up the papers that she saw in the drawer that looked like what she was after. Of course she also took a few other important documents as well. Those were not shoved into a pouch like the valuables had been. No those were rolled and quickly placed into her vest.

With that done she left. Not bothering to put the drawers back the way she found them. She needed to get out. And now. Once out in the hall she heard the familiar racing up the steps along with the nanny who was yelling for the children. Theanduri moved to go toward the room she’d originally entered into but was cut off when the familiar blocked her path.

She cursed her luck and paused, arms outstretched in front of her to pacify the beast, but she made eye contact and lowered down with a growl of her own. Thea knew she was pressed for time but she needed to keep this animal from going after her with a vicious intent. It paused with a bit of confusion. The beast watched her as she moved though it didn’t attempt to get closer. Of course she heard the nanny thundering up the steps still hollering.

When the nanny reached the top and turned to yell at the kids that she thought was in their father’s office she paused at the sight of Thea. Thankfully, as a thief she wore a hood and kept her appearance hidden in darkness. The nanny gasped then screamed. She fled back down the steps making all the noise for the guard to help and save the children. Thea rolled her eyes a bit. As if she would hurt children.

Still, when the lady was gone Thea got up and moved quickly. She stepped into the nearest room. That being the children’s room. Of course the whole commotion woke them up and so they looked at her with a bit of surprise and she brought her hand up to show the universal sign to be quiet; a finger pressed to her lips. When they seemed to get the message she moved across the room to the window. They didn’t have a balcony. But their parent’s room was next door so the balcony was within jumping distance from their window. And that was what she was going to do.

Thea got up onto the sill and gauged the distance before leaping over. Of course she had to hook her arms over the rail and pull herself up and over. It wasn’t a perfect landing as she’d hoped. No one would have made that anyways.

Unfortunately, the nanny had made enough of a fuss that the guard had come running to see what the issue was. And they had seen her on the balcony. So they were rushing to come after her. Knowing that she was pressed for time she moved to the other side of the balcony, no longer caring about being seen or unseen, and leapt up to the rail. With her feet in place she balanced there for a second then shifted so that she could jump up and grab the ledge of the roof. Thea used her strength to pull herself up once again then made her way up the pitch of the roof to the point. Up there she heard the balcony door open.

She needed to get moving. So she ran across the roof and that brought attention to her location. Shouts and yells from the guards behind her told her exactly where they were and what they planned to do so she moved with confidence. At the other end of the roof she didn’t slow down and hopped right off, moving her arms out and in front of her. As she fell toward the ground she grabbed hold of the flag pole that stuck out on the neighboring building. It stopped her fall and as she dangled there she looped her ankles over it, hiding temporarily from the guards that ran below her. They thought she’d leapt onto the other roof and continued to go on her way.

That gave her the added edge for her escape.

When the last one passed by calling for her to ‘Halt’ she dropped down the ground and walked calmly the other direction. Her hood came down and she fixed her hair before flipping her cloak back so that her outfit was visible. Since it was brightly colored it would stand out and thus hide her in plain sight. Another street over and she joined the crowd.

As more guard responded to the call they rushed past her and she blinked stupidly along with the rest of the crowd and turned to watch them go before looking at the others to see if they knew what was going on. Murmurs filled the crowd, rumors spread quickly, but none had it down right. So she continued on, taking her time to enjoy the shopping district.

The key to her escape now was to blend in and someone in an hurry to get away would stand out more than someone taking their time to look around. It always made her heart go a little faster than she liked because it was like anyone could tell what she’d been doing. Thea knew this was a lie but that didn’t help to keep her heart from beating like the wings of a hummingbird.

However, she’d schooled her outward appearance to show a calm individual who had done nothing wrong. Theanduri had made a promise to her husband a long time ago. She would always come home. There was no way she was going the break that promise for some stupid jewelry and some paperwork.

So she moved along to the next vendor and something caught her eye. So she stopped to look at it, even going so far as to ask about it. The vendor happily talked up their product with the hopes that she would buy it. When a small group of guards started walking through the crowd, grabbing anyone with a cloak and hood on she knew she needed to get away soon. Eventually they would use their brains and catch on to how she was able to hide from them.

She paid for the trinket she’d seen, figuring she could give it to her daughter, then turned to be on her way. To sell the innocent shopper act she held up her purchase with a smile. So when a guard looked at her with a suspicious glance they only saw that she’d just bought something and was not at all concerned with their presence and let her go by without a second thought.

Theanduri continued to walk as she needed to make her way home. Leaving Oba would be the best thing. She always did after a big heist since the heat would keep her from getting anything like it for a while. And she was well paid enough now in her career that she didn’t need to work constantly. What she got for this job would hold them over for at least a year. Add on top of that what Rydan made at the smithy and they didn’t need coin.

First things first: she needed to go to the guild and drop off her loot. Show that she’d been successful. That would ensure that she got paid. Then she could make her way back to matori. Which is where she wanted to be. Home with her family and able to see her husband’s face when he came home from work. Not to mention she still needed to make sure her brother’s children were well taken care of. At least until the day he was able to take them back. So home was definitely where she needed to be now.

A skip in her step, Thea made her way down the street, humming a small tune. No one suspected that she’d just robbed a ranked officer.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ✧✧✧ Collecting
SOLO - Thief/Stage3 - WC 1802 ( 6pts )

She showed up at the guild and made her way right in. Theanduri had gotten in on merit due to her father but she’d worked her way up with her own talents. Her father was more of a fence whereas she was a field agent. She took on jobs, she used her nimble fingers to take things off people and her small frame allowed her to slip in and out of peoples homes.

“Thea!” Her name was snapped out in a short tone.

She turned her head to look at the person that had called out to her and when she saw who it was she arched a brow. They were higher up than her but usually they didn’t get an attitude with her. She’d proven more than once that she could and would handle things. Thea, none-the-less, paused in her walk to wait for them to reach her.

“You were supposed to get in and out without alerting anyone!” They continued to yell at her, bringing up a hand to point an accusing finger in her face.

Thea went cross eyed as she looked at the finger that got far too close to her nose for her liking. Still, it hadn’t touched her yet. So there was no reason for her to lose her cool. Instead she let her eyes uncross and look past the hand to the face of the person speaking to her.

“Do you have any idea how hot and heavy the guards are out now?” They waited for the space of about three seconds before continuing. “No. Of course not. You didn’t consider all the others out working right now.” By now their face was red from the yelling they were doing. “This is why I had concerns about sending you in!”

At that Theanduri leaned back to put space between the hand still pointing at her and her nose. From there she reached up and pushed the hand to the side so it no longer had the finger pointing at her. “I’ll stop you there.” She finally addressed the person yelling at her.

Everyone within earshot of the pair had stopped what they were doing and were listening in intently. They all wanted to know what was going on. Mostly because when Thea got in trouble it was always amusing. While they usually liked her, it was funny to hear of her mess ups. Most of them were rookie mistakes that she handled with expert skill. Stupid little things like walking right into a guard because she hadn’t been looking and then flirting with the poor man until his face turned red. Everyone had heard about that one.

“There was nothing wrong with sending me in. I did my homework and read up on the house layout.” She had been very thankful for those who had gotten her the information. It had been most helpful to her in the long run. However, there had been a small hiccup. “What wasn’t mentioned was that the desk had a trap set up for anyone who tried to get into it without knowing what to look out for. It wasn’t mentioned in any report I went over.” Thea wasn’t about to take the blame for poor information. Then again, unless someone had had time to inspect every inch of that desk prior to her going in then it was no one’s fault. “The trap alerted the nanny to my presence, though she thought I was one of the kids. Had there not been beasts in the house I’d have gotten out before I was seen but it didn’t work out that way.” And there was no getting around that. No one could have done that. “I did, however, get what I was sent for. So stop yelling like a banshee, its an insult to my son’s Janarim who is named such.” A smug smirk crossed her face at that.

The other person wasn’t so amused with her little speech and so they put their hand down after it had been moved and got closer to Thea. “A rookie mistake to not assume the desk was rigged. You should have inspected it before hand! And I am not screaming like a Banshee!”

“Aye, I should have, however, I was in a bit of a hurry since I was easily seen through the window.” Thea didn’t want to have a nosey neighbor report that they’d seen her in the desk. Of course she realized now that was a risk she should have taken. “And yes, you are screaming.”

“Shut up! You may have gotten the documents we wanted but now they know they are missing so they will likely make changes!” A scoff was thrown her way.

Thea sighed and turned her head to the side. “Then stop wasting time and let me pass so I can deliver them and we can get the other plans underway.”

It seemed for a second like they weren’t going to let her pass by but after a moment of them opening and closing their fists like they wanted to punch her they stepped to the side, glaring the entire time. Thea only spared a glance at them before she started walking again. She made her way to the main office where she reached into the pocket of her vest and produced the documents she’d been sent in to take. Before a word could be uttered she slapped them down onto the desk then looked at her boss.

“There you have them.”

Her boss looked at the documents briefly then looked up at her. “I heard the commotion out there. Something I should be concerned with?” He questioned.

Her head gave a slight shake. “No. Just me getting into trouble as usual. Nothing too heavy. I just took a risk that should have been given more thought.” Nothing they weren’t used to from her, honestly. But since she’d not been caught yet, or worse, identified, they never really bothered with her.

“I see.” He leaned back in his chair and brought a hand up to rub at his bearded chin. “And did you get the jewelry that was requested?” He looked Thea in the eyes.

“Yes, sir.” She reached back for the pouch she had stashed them in and pulled it open. Without another word her hand dove in, gathered the mentioned goods, then came back out with them in tow. She extended her arm over the desk then dropped them onto the documents. “There they are.”

She knew that they were two separate jobs but for the same house. One client had wanted the jewelry while another had wanted the documents. Seeing as they were in the same general location they’d rolled the two jobs into one and only sent one person in. It just made more sense that way.

“I managed to get a few other goods that weren’t on the list for myself. I’ll turn them into the fence on my way out.” Thea didn’t use her father so people couldn’t complain that she was getting a better deal or anything. She liked to keep things fair and professional as much as possible when she was dealing with the guild. It cut back on the issues. And rumors.

“Alright. Then you’re dismissed.” He nodded his head. He’d be the one taking care of the main items from the heist since he had to reach out to the clients to let them know that the items had been procured. “Just keep out of trouble for now.”

She nodded her head at him then turned to leave. Her feet carried her toward the other side of the guild, and she made a point to walk with her head held high. Thea wasn’t going to let them think she’d been cowed into being meek or hiding. No. She went straight across the middle of the large room and into the side room.

When she entered the fence looked up at her and arched a brow before smiling. “Well look who it is.” They spread their hands out in front of them, gesturing toward her. “My favorite thief.”

“Now now, none of that.” Thea pretended to scold them. “We don’t do favorites.”

“Haha! Yes yes, of course. Wouldn’t want someone’s feelings to get hurt.” The fence grinned at her. “So what have you got for me today?”

She returned the grin and pulled another pouch off her belt so that she could open the laces on it. Once the opening was well and truly pulled open she turned it upside down over the small table in front of her and let the goods fall out to be appraised by the new buyer. Rings and bracelets mostly, as they were the easiest to fit in the pouch, but there were necklaces in there and a few earrings.

“Oh, a nice little haul for sure!” He seemed more than pleased with what he saw in front of him. “I can make a nice penny off these.” He leaned forward and ran his hand over a few, moving things around so that he got an accurate count of everything that was there.

He nodded to himself then moved over to write a few things down. He of course had to sit on things for a while, and then there was the fact that he couldn’t sell them inside the city. He’d have to take them elsewhere. But he was due to make a trip out anyways so there was little issue there. He nodded his head as he finished the calculations. Once he wrote them down he handed the paper he’d marked on over to Thea for her to look at.

Theanduri took the paper and glanced at the price. It was doable so she nodded and handed it back. “I’ll accept it.” She hadn’t really been out for the extra coin so it wasn’t like she was pressed to have more for them.

The fence nodded his head then went to go and get the coin out of the safe so he could pay her. It took him a few minutes to count everything out right but soon enough he handed her a coin purse full of her fee. “Here ya go. Enjoy.” With that he waved her off and started to get his new wares sorted out.

Thea took her coin pouch and moved along. Only thing she needed to do now was go and collect her actual payment from the heist. She would need to see the build treasurer for that one. They would confirm with the boss and then she’d be on her way. She tucked her new coin purse into her vest, not wanting to leave it out in the open for now, and continued her walk to the treasurer’s office down the hall.
