Cecil shook his head at Adam as he tried to defend himself to get a higher rating as he watched more and more people getting closer as the meeting began to start. He was about to stare daggers at Adam at the bad joke before he sighed and shook his head for a second as he looked to the others. He watched as Danae and Narx were making their way towards Cecil and his team, causing him to slowly move upfront to be beside Adam with Azura at his side as well. He shook head as Narx seemed to have taken to Adam almost like a brother, causing him to chuckle. "Not many people are going to hype themselves up like Lena or Maoi warriors." He told Azura with a smile before he looked over to the Valian Knight. He recognized the design from salvaged atlas books at the library but to see one in person, it was interesting.
He could hear the words from Azura as he leaned back and whispered. "In either case.... it'll be more of help than me. With how many people there are...I can't use my semblance like I normally could." He had to admit to her that his semblance would be mostly inactive, which is why he brought with him the Dust Crystals. If the worse came, he could activate his semblance and summon a weapon instantly with them without drowning everyone with his cold, but they'd be much more fragile and limited than his actual semblance based. He straightened up with Azura as he smiled at the team. "Pleasure to see you both once more. How are you two fairing?" He asked of them, his spirits a bit higher than usual.

"I'll make you all proud of me one day.."
- - - - Lunia was so intrigued by Felix, almost staring at him to the point of being a little uncomfortable. She just had a feeling that there was more to him than she knew, but she was just happy knowing that he looked after her best friend, Zylah. Looking at the wall that he had knocked down, she appeared a little concerned, but watched as Zylah got back onto his shoulders in her usual hilarious fashion. "Zylah's happiness is paramount to me Felix, so you just keep enjoying her company.." she said, smirking. "Besides, I get to steal her away on cool missions like this right?" she added, offering him and her a playful wink. She tilted her head as she looked at his broken horn, and as she went to touch it she pulled herself back - recalling being told by Zylah to try her best to not touch him. She wrapped her arms over Zylah as he leaned her over for a hug, and smiled, "Thanks Felix.." she said, feeling a little strange as to why she couldn't touch him, once again - he intrigued her a lot.
Just as she opened her mouth to speak to Charlotte who was beside her, someone evidently from the military spoke up and addressed them. "Pipsqueaks?" she said to herself curiously, tilting her head, they always spoke down to the students. Then she heard a name she recognised, "Adao?" she said, looking down at the ground as she thought to where she knew the name from. Nothing was coming to her, and instead of dwelling on it, she looked back up and listened to the remainder of the briefing. Suddenly a rush of concern came over her, she flashed a gaze at her teammates one by one and nodded. Clenching her fist she decided to turn the fear into one of confidence, or at least try to. "Our team is the vanguard?" she asked herself, "I won't let anything happen to them.." she said, looking to Felix, Ora and Lena - wishing her Jazz was here to calm the nerves he was so good at quelling. Lunia tapped Charlotte on the arm as she stood beside her closest ally, "Let's keep an eye on each other, ok?" she said, flashing a confident smile to her.
Lunia would then open her eyes widely at team JOLD and their newest member for this mission, she listened to her call their team llama and was unsure of how to take her. Lunia nodded, putting on a friendly face while the pits of her stomach felt very uneasy with the idea of Jazz having a replacement. In fact, she felt uneasy about this entire mission all together.
It looked like the lot of them were staying together, Lunia could always tell that Ora was uneasy being around Charlotte - the way that she glared at her made her very uncomfortable and almost protective over her teammate and friend. She would stay close to her, and keep an eye on everyone as much as she could.
Lena always made Lunia smile, she was a bundle of energy and she really liked that. She was also into technology, something that Lunia was finding she had some form of control over, however nowhere near enough to even begin to contemplate a discussion about it.
Lunia would look to her teammates once again, Vance, Zylah and Charlotte. "We stick together, we don't take any risks.. alright?" she said, attempting to somewhat come up with a little plan. The truth was, Lunia would throw herself infront of any of the people on this mission if she had to, and she could never decide if that was a good trait to have, or a terrible one. Standing at the ready with her team, she awaited the next orders to be the vanguard and complete this mission.
The students of beacon all gather around the chasm's entry point. A large metallic platform with rappelling gear. Each student takes their turn being lowered carefully into the cave below where they await their team. It doesn't feel like they are just outside the walls of Vale, but much farther away now even though they can still see the looming shadow of the wall obstructing what little light that would have been there for them near the bottom. The stale air of the cavern was gritty with dust and had a foreboding aftertaste.
Before each student went down they were made to pass by a table manned by school personal who handed out survival packs designed to keep you alive for up to a whole week. It has everything from paracord, gas masks, to space blankets. Nobody expects them to be down there for that long, but its good policy to be well equipped when venturing into an unknown cave system.
Your team, once assembled, receives a text to their Scrolls stating a few ominous facts: 1. Reception is expected to quickly disappear as they venture into the cave. 2. Scrolls have already had a software update that will beep if any toxic fumes are sensed, and 3. Grimm activity has increased off in the distance.
Your team now ventures Into ƚhҽ Đαɾƙnҽss. At first you are unable to see anything beyond the shallow beam of light that pierces into the chasm from above. You hear small splashes of feet in puddles. The rocks are jagged and many small pools of water reflect the light from the flashlights you hold. The chasm is dark, damp, and all around dreadful. Your eyes slowly adjust to the chasm revealing its massive size. It was at least 100 meters in diameter if not more. A howling wind rushes through it, the only sound otherwise was the rhythmic pattern of water droplets from above. The wind was flowing into the cave which indicated that there must be another opening on the far side.
A green light shines from, flashing a few times then taking a short pause before it repeated. This was the signal that all teams are good to go. You set out with your teams across the grey shale floor careful not to trip on any of its jagged edges. It takes a long while before you notice anything truly strange. After about an hour you finally get to the split in cavern paths. Đαɾƙ ₳lphα is the larger of the two. It heads straight on into the darkness. Đαɾƙ Ømҽgα, however, is a smaller offshoot that heads towards the right.
Roleplay each part of the prompt or skip directly to venturing into the cave.

"Rolling on four wheels eh?! That sounds mighty fine compared to trudging through a cave on two legs.'"It was always a fun time with Adam around. The guy was as energetic as always and never afraid to poke some fun at his friends. Narx enjoyed his company more than ninety percent of the school which said a lot. He liked all of team DARK though, he gave a kurt nod to Cecil who was just beside Adam and offered him a fistbump as well. It was a rather fun getting that he felt matched his own personality, so he was happy Adam had taught it to him. Cecil also asked how they were doing. Narx spoke to everyone around now."Things have been a bit... chaotic, we did have another team shakeup, we seem to be cursed if you ask me... but Danaë and I always pull through so calling us a 'couple team wouldn't be too far off!'" He didn't really know when their new teammates would arrive. He looked over to Danaë when this was asked to see if she had any information on them. Azura approached them and greeted them kindly. For some reason she came off very, well, commander like. Narx wasn't sure why, but part of him thought she would make a good leader. Though that idea sat in stark contrast to her obvious interpersonal fragility. She was very stately to say the least."You all seem rather cheery, so it sounds like life has been good on your side as well?"Narx asked Cecil, Adam, and Azura together. He awaited their reply while the Vanguard made their way down into cavern and their time came up. When they finally approached the cavern entrance something seemed off. Was it that darn robot? Or was it this dark abyss they were about to enter?
~~~
Narx approached the cavern a bit timidly. The cave's wind seemed to whisper with a hollow echo unlike anything he had ever heard. It was eerie to say the least. He would strap on the gear provided and let the military personal check it before approaching the edge. would give everyone an excited smile and salute them as he kicked off to rappel down into the cavern below."See you on your home turf team DARK!" He shouted from the darkness as he descended.
Narx would land with both feet firmly on the ground. It took seconds to unlatch himself from the ropes and strip off the climbing gear which would then be hooked onto the rope and shot right back up from where he came. He turned around but struggled to see."Whoa!"Narx muttered as he almost tripped on a sharp boulder. "This place is definitely not up to OSHA's standards..."He walked carefully into the darkness and let his eyes adjust. This cave was absolutely massive. It was like nothing he had ever seen before."Well, I guess this isn't the first, nor the last time I will be underground in the darkness trying to kill Grimm..."He would wait for his partners to arrive before venturing forth. He quite liked the fact that they would be in the rear with team DARK, maybe he could spook Cecil. He wanted to see if he could disturb his usual calm composure.Stop thinking so mischievous. Focus. This is a real mission. He thought to himself. He sighed as he realized that he couldn't see much more than 10 or 15 feet very well. It was times like this he wish he had more than one eye. Narx opened his jacket and pulled out his pill container. He'd pop one into his mouth and swallow it without so much as a second thought before returning it to his inside pocket.
Danaë would smile at Adam. He remembered not to call her Hooters. She was happy. Only one person in her life was allowed to call her something related to hooting, and it was her little brother. It was so cute. He called her Hoot hoot. He had a bit of a hoot to it as well, so it made it so much cuter. Then again, he was only 5 years old. "Nervous about the mission considering what happened on the last bit mission." She was very nervous that she would be a liability. She would give a nod to Azura, in acknowledgement that she was there, and that she had greeted them.
Danaë would raise an eyebrow at Narx. She knew exactly who was on their team this time. "The people on our team are people that I know from Signal. People who defended me. It's my brother Asger, and his girlfriend, Eve." It's true, they hadn't been to their room, and then Narx and her had made a trip to the mountains with Tessa. Man, that was a disaster.
~~~
Danaë would get to the mouth of the cave. There was repelling into the cave now. Nope. Danaë refused to do it. She would wait until it was clear, then she would jump in, activating her wings. She would glide down into the cave. The Darkness did not bother her at all. She could see in complete darkness. Her eyes seemed to be glowing, but they were mostly reflecting. Once she landed, she would cause her wings to disappear. She would see Narx almost trip and fall. She would giggle and move in front of him. She would then grab his arms, and place them gently on her shoulders. "I'll be our eyes." Thinking about it, Only herself, Asger, and Eve would be able to see in the dark. Team Dark were all humans. "I suggest that Asger and Eve are in the back, and I'll stay in the front of our group." It was just a suggestion, seeing that her eyes were good in the dark.
"Reiterpallasch will be more than enough." She told him confidently. "I'll only be able to use Crimson Regret's sniper mode unless the cave is much large than expect. Together we'll make a complete hunter." Cecil's semblance was handicapped, and her weapon. It would almost be romantic if they weren't heading into unknown territory that has appeared in uncertain circumstances.
"Hopefully your new members stick," Azura commented with her usual reserved politeness. She was thankful for her own team. Ridley, Azura and Cecil had been together from the very beginning. They only had one minor change when Adam joined them after the pop star decided combat wasn't for her after all. Even that was pretty close to the start of term. She couldn't think of much that would be more stressful than having constantly shifting teammates like that. Then Danae brought up that they were people she knew from Signal. Eve and Asger. Both had a certain...reputation. Even if Eve had been perfectly normal, which she was not, her semblance would have caused most people to be uncomfortable around her. Asger, she mostly remembered as the guy most of the girls wanted to date. She wondered how Danea felt being on a team with her brother, but if he and Eve defended her at Signal then maybe they would finally have a permanent team formation. Naturally, Azura kept all of these thoughts to herself and stuck with a simple, "I can't wait to meet them. Everything on team DARK has been well." It was a small lie. They were all worried about Ridley, but this was neither the time nor place to bring it up.
Team DARK and team SHAA gathered at the edge of the cavern, all dressed in repelling gear...except one. Danae. Azura hadn't considered toxic fumes within the cave system. She was glad those in charge had, but also couldn't help but feeling that she had failed in some way. Preparedness was something she prided herself on, and here she had failed. Even still, Narx managed to get a bit of a smile from her, her lips twitching as he said he'd see them on their home turf. It was punny enough to come from their team. Perhaps he'd been hanging out with Adam? Danae was next. Azura could only watch in awe as the avian fuanus grew wings out of her back and glided down into the darkness. If she could do that, she would have refused to repel down as well. Then it was Azura's turn. Standing at the edge of the platform she looked down into the darkness. "The headmaster has definitely taken our team name too literally." She commented. "I'll see you guys at the bottom." With a parting wave to her team, she started to repel down.
And down, and down. Azura activated the light attached to her chest about three quarters down. A scythe was a two-handed weapon, as was her sniper. Choosing between defending herself and seeing wasn't a choice she wanted to make. She could hear the others moving about, the sound of footsteps in water, wind whistling through the rocks and soon her feet made a splash as she reached the bottom. Removing the repelling gear, Azura could only hope they didn't end up having to swim. The water seemed like a bad omen on that front. Free of the equipment she stepped away to make room for the others come down, her light sweeping along the walls. This place was massive. How could such a large hole open up in the ground like this? It was frightening to think about. Soon she caught up to Narx and Danea who had both neglected to use their flashlights. For Danea that made sense since she could probably see anyway, though she wondered about Narx. "Why Adam and Eve in the back?" She asked curiously. JOLD and LMAA should take care of anything in front of them, being the vanguard. She would think to put Narx in the back as their tank. That being said, she wasn't a leader of SHAA or DARK.

┎⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯۞⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯┒
The falcon's initial waking so many days ago hadn't exactly been a pleasant one. Not for himself or anyone involved really. To think his sister had spent all that time by his bedside, just waiting for those sapphire orbs to open. To think Eve had traveled far and wide, taking lives and almost losing her own just to get back to her bird boy. It was a moment that should have been heartwarming, one to remember fondly over the years to come. However, the memory was stained by the panic that had surfaced in the boy as his own consciousness was returned to him. Skewed by the fear and the guilt that had consumed him as he concluded they all must be dead. Tainted by the denial that caused him to stubbirning dispute any chance of Eve being alive, insisting it must have all been some terrible twist if fate... or rather the tribe. After all, Asger had never much believed in fate or destiny. While his opinion might now be swayed, it was a mere passing thought at the back of his minds. There were to many more pressing matters at the forefront to dedicate much more to it. For example, what had happened to him? Why was he in this hospital bed? How had he gotten to Beacon to begin with? Possibly more important, how WAS eve here? How had she survived. He was sure she was dead. He had seen it all right before his eyes. Danae was quick to answer and explain the first of hisquestions. Though that only left them with the more concerning fact that he was missing months and months worth of memories. Concerning as it may have been, it was a dilemma for another day. All he really cared about was how Evie had managed to survive the grim, and when exactly had she grown horns. The pinkette responded to the questions in the usual Eve manner, meaning she tried to turn the entire thing into a joke and Bush off matters that should not be ignored. That is after Asger managed to drag the story from her lips, the girl seemed rather reluctant to share the details and it quickly became clear why. A lecture on how she shouldn't take lives so easily, how it was wrong to take and to kill without thought and remorse. How even the cruelest people still had family, children, and even when it became necessary to put their life to an end, it should be done with a sense of remorse and not with glee. Take a life should not be easy, or at least that's what he had always tried to tell her. Clearly the lesson had not stuck yet. The exasperated disappointment he might have fely with her for once again failing at one of the most vital lessons if life he'd ever tried to share with her was vastly overshadowed. Overshadowed by he feeling he couldn't quite explain himself. A feeling that welled up inside him and curled around his heart in a vice-like grip as the girl before him, the always care-free thrill-seeker became overcome with her own emotions. At the admittance, as vague as it may have been, that she nearly gave up her own life because she couldn't bare the though of a world without him. One where he had parted from it in a most gruesome death. Asger was always so calm, so collected. Never did he speak out of turn, never did he act without thought. Rarely did he lose the battle with his own emotions, always keeping them tucked nice and neat where they belonged, invisible to onlookers. However, in this moment Asger showed an entirely different side. Body rigid, the blood drained slowly from his face, leaving him white as a sheet, blue hues boiling like an oceanic volcano ready to explode. At first glance one might think he was angry, and while a small part of him was, it was a much deeper emotion consumed him, or rather a medley of several that steered his actions. Strongest of them are was fear. A fear so intense it caused his stomach to churn the pot of toxic emotions curdling together in his stomach. Hands would reach out, cupping either side of her face to direct her gaze towards his. His grip was firm, unrelenting, yet still surprisingly gentle as they prodded her cheeks. "You don't get to do that, Eve." His voice was soft but brimming with the emotions he fought so carefully to keep under control. "You don't just get to throw your life away like that. Especially over me." He was begging with her, pleading, with a special emphasis. He'd already lived with the guilt of her death bearing so heavily upon his shoulders, even the thought if living through that hell again was just too much for the boy who was breaking before their eyes. "You're actions have consequences... when are you going to learn?" His words were harsh, but his tone was nothing short of desperate. For several moments his words would linger in the heavy atmosphere between them, sapphire orbs never straying from her vivid pools of cyan. It wasn't hard to depict the pain swimming with in crystal clear waters, nor the pucker of berry colored lips. He'd hurt her feelings, and whether intentional or not, he'd pay for it with the guilt that quickly came crashing down upon him. A soft sigh would pass through his lips and with it the tension with in his body. Hands would slip from her face to winf carefully around her, pulling her close to his chest. With the embrace would come but the softest pressure upon his forehead as warm lips pressed against her soft skin in the sweetest, if not uncharacteristic of gestures. It was a tender moment that panned only a few seconds, but seemed to stretch on much longer within their little bubble of bliss. It seemed he'd surprised her just as much as he surprised himself. After all, physical contact had never come easily to Asger and mire often than not, if he didn't shy away, he managed to make it awkward. This was nothing of the sort. A first for them both and it was easy to believe he might be forgiven for such a lousy reunion as he met her smile with his own, unable to hold back a chuckle at the headbutt that followed. After all, it had been a signature move of hers even before the horns. The moment would slip away, one more giving way to mire pressing matters, but it was a memory he would always hold dear to his heart.
To say the days that followed were interesting would be the biggest understatement of the century. Interesting didn't even begin to describe the shenanigans that followed the falcon being released from the hospital. For starters there was the fact that Asger quite literally had a flesh eating demon on his hands. Cute as she may be, Eve was anything but friendly and her bite really hurt. Her new venom only added to the fatality of those encounters. Keeping Eve from eating students who had accidentally managed to make it onto her hit list was not a new task, but at Signal he'd been paired with her and as such was able to keep his eyes on her at every moment. Even then there were a few close calls, as well as a few fatal times that he had to take a bite on behalf of someone else. He didn't think those occurrences would be quite as forgiving this go around and he really didn't like the idea of Eve being on team on her own. The only outcome to that was a bloody massacre. As such, Asger took it upon himself to have a word with the headmaster about the situation with the headmaster. Maybe it was that talk, or maybe it was this mysterious man that Eve referred to as Papa, but by some twist of fate the two had not only been paired together, but placed on a team with Narx and Danae. That was just the beginning of the mess, for with the team change, came the team change, which meant he had to return to the dorm to get his belongings and thanks to Danae informing Eve about Maru, the pinkette refused to let him go on his own. It was with a great deal of caution that Asger proceeded to this next step. Some might think he took it too far, but they had clearly never met Eve. After ensuring his team would not be there when he arrived, he quite literally put Eve on a leash. There was of course the muzzle as well. While they had come to a solution over her venom, her teeth were still razor sharp. Asger knew that better than anyone. He had the scars, and the fresh bite Mark's he'd received in the battle over the muzzle to prove it. Then of course there was the bribery, rewards and prizes to get this little devil to behave. After all, grown as she may be, Eve was a child at heart. To his surprise the event went well despite the fuss leading up to it. At least to his knowledge. He couldn't help but feel suspicious at the smug look upon her face as he left, but he also couldn't find any real reason to be suspicious.
After the move there were countless checkups back in the infirmary. Just like all the other students who had woken, the doctors wanted to not only determine all was well with the students, as well as run some tests to try and figure out why they had woken and others hadn't. It seemed to remain a mystery, but perhaps not the biggest mystery of all. Intrigued by Eve's condition, they also ran some tests on the girl. While they were able to determine she was I fact a komodo dragon faunus, they couldn't exactly explain the horns or why her faunus traits had only just appeared. Truly there was more questions left than what had been answered, but it was still a useful bit of information. As promised, after all the tests and examinations, Danae helped Eve to dye her daggers. Which resulted in the dragon nearly melting her arm off in a chemical bath because she had thought it would be cool to have rainbow skin as well. Torn between exasperation and concern at such a sudden and stupid decision, Asger thanked whatever ruler of fate that lurked above that Eve was vastly mire durable than any amount of chemicals. Despite the gruesome turn it had took, it had been an overall enjoyable experience. He'd meant to take Danae for a flying lesson as well, a long awaited promise, but unfortunately his sister was called away to some family affair of a past teammate. So once again their lesson was postponed and Asger and eve were left to themselves for the next several days. During which his memories of the past several months slowly trickled back to him. It seemed there was no real damage or memory loss, the shock of the nightmare and waking in the middle of it had simply blacked out a big chunk of his mind. The haze if which slowly become more and mire clear as memories were triggered at random. This of course lead to Asger sharing his own story of survival with Eve and the adventures he'd taken with a certain mentor before returning to Beacon.
That all lead to the here and the now, ten days later afloat a giant airship with an overly excited Evie clinging to his arm. Of course he didn't really expect anything less of the pinkette that was practically dancing on the spot, unable to contain her own excitement. With a soft smile upon his lips, sapphire hues would watch the girl as her own cyan orbs peered through the window, her entire demeanor screaming ecstatic. At her question his gaze would shift towards the window, responding to that nickname as if it were his own. Anyone listening in might actually think his name was Adam if they hadn't already met him. Peering out at the clouds, a studious expression would cross his face. For a few moments he'd look as if he was preforming some sort of mathematical equation within the confined of his own mind. Perhaps he was. Would it really be that surprising? After a moment he would return his gaze to hers with a small nod. "Its possible... maybe we can attempt it after the mission." While this wasn't blatant bribe, he hoped that the promise of flying might help keep the beast of a woman under control. Little did he know that he had his work cut out for him, as he always did with this little devil. In fact there was never a dull moment with Evie around. There were actually days he longed for a bit if boredom, but he would revel in the chaos, as much someone as poised as Asger really could, if it meant the girl stuck around. After a few more moments of Eve swaying at his side, likely pretending she was not confined with in a giant metal ship and instead floating free among the clouds and the falcon's arms, a voice would sound over the intercom, announcing they were soon to arrive and prompting final supply checks. With just a slight roll of his eyes, the softest chuckle would escape his lips. "Yes, Evie. That's my job. It always has been. But I checked out bags before we left this morning. What good would it do if we realized we forgot something now?" Asger was nothing if not prepared, among other things of course. Prepared perhaps, but unaware of the calamity Eve had managed to sneak aboard after his initial supply check. She might have even gotten away with it were she to have left the conversation where it was. Whether it was to amuse him, or appease him, he and everyone else among this ship had that childish desire of hers and that slight slip of hand to thank for their lives. He'd watch with a slightly amused smile, nodding in approval as she checked each item off the list. The smile was quick to falter at the gleam she mistakenly let slip between her fingers. His expression would transition from absolutely appalled to cross. "Eve, are you out of your mind?" If the boy weren't so polite, there might have been a few other choice words to spark up that question, but ears of the innocent were sparred as he continued on to answer his own question. "Don't answer that. Eve, you're out of your mind." Now to anyone listening in, it might seem like he was overreacting to a simple bottle of dust, but anyone who came to that conclusion did not know Eve's true capabilities nor the catastrophe that would follow if she managed to smuggle that in. "It's crazy enough that you even have the desire to turn yourself into a bomb and blow yourself to shreds, but do you realize how stupid it is to risk that inside a cave while surrounded by your peers." Clearly his lecture was getting them no where. It was going to take a little more that that to dissuade her from this trick this time. "Evie, you'll kill us all." He was hoping that she would put one and two together without him having to come out right and say it. She may not care about the lives of everyone else here, but he knew she wouldn't want to be the cause of his death at least, and by extension of him, Danae and Narx, because he could never truly forgive her for killing his little sister. One of the lessons that had managed to sink in back at Beacon. Now, for just a moment it seemed like she might be rational, that maybe just once she had a real argument backed by logic and facts. Asger, practical as he was, was willing to listen, one eyebrow raised in what one might dream a challenging manner. The falcon was ready for a debate, but this was Evie and he should have known better. There was no better argument then the fact that she wanted it and she wasn't giving it up without a fight. "Eve, how many times must I tell you that what you want isn't always practical." In fact, in her case it was usually the exact opposite. "Its one thing to pull stunts like this in training, but you can't risk this mission." His words meant nothing, bouncing right back at him as she cutting he'd the vial tightly in her hand. He'd lost her, metaphorically and physically as she made a break for it. Just like before, there were vastly stronger and equally inappropriate words he could have used to express his frustration, but instead he le.t out a sight, rubbing his temples for just a short moment before taking off after her. While Eve shoved her way past people, he tried to maneuver in between the crowds and apologized to all those he accidentally bumped. Perhaps it was that need to be careful and polite that blinded him to Eve's next trick. As she hurled herself out the hatch, Asger was quick to dive after her. Only he wasn't in pursuit anymore for the little devil had latched her claws onto the doors the very last second. Digging once more, he'd spread his wings abruptly, catching the wind and bring himself to a stop midair. He was about to make his way back up there and wrestle the explosive round from her hand if it came down to it, but at that moment he felt her wait drop onto his shoulders. Between the surprise and the extra momentum from her leap, they were both momentarily free falling from the sky.
By some miracle and several frantic flaps of massive black wings, the falcon managed to slow their decent just enough that they didn't come plummeting to their deaths. Or at least so that he didn't. Eve likely would have survived and the girl seemed to forget that not everyone was quite as durable as she. Lucky for her, Asger was resourceful enough that it usually balanced out. Somewhat. He had avoided an untimely death, but their landing was anything but graceful. Crashing against the ground with a loud thud, rivaling the earth-quivering landing of one of the other students, he knew his entire backside would be bruised later. Eve's landing was significantly lighter, seeing as she got the extra padding of Asger's chest. While the girl was amused, Asger was both exasperated and breathless. Perhaps he would laugh about it later, but for now he had more important matters at hand. Leave it to the Falcon to come hurling towards the ground with a little dragon squirming upon his back while never forgetting the problem at hand, nor the solution he'd already worked out. Using her distraction, it would take but two fingers for the falcon to pluck the dust vial from her hand. "How about we make a deal?" He would question, never skipping a beat as he got straight to the point. He didn't eve have time to blush as he pushed himself into a sitting position, hardly noticing just how close it brought them. "If you let me hold onto this for the entirety of the mission, you can pick any of my own dust vials to replace it. Whichever one you want." He knew that none of the dust vials he carried would compare to the excitement that this explosive round brought the girl, but it just wasn't an option. Not unless the goal of this mission was to get everyone involved killed and leave Vale to fend for itself. Besides, he wasn't done with this little deal yet. "If you keep to the deal, I'll not only take you flying, but we can go anywhere you want. Promise." Stubborn as she might be, Asger knew her well enough to know that a strip through the sky to any destination she'd like was something she just couldn't turn down, even if she pouted a bit about losing her pocket-sized calamity. Once their deal was made, Asger would tuck the explosive round safely away, making her close her eyes while he did so, just in case. It might have been easier to entrust the round to their professor, or possibly one of the military men, but he didn't trust Eve to not try to eat them in order to get it back. She could trust her not to eat him, at least not entirely. The other option would have been to hide it, but giving the stunt she just pulled, he also didn't trust her to not go searching for it while he wasn't looking. The safest, place for it was on his own person, even if it made him a bit wary.
In all the chaos of their potentially life-threatening adventure, the pair had missed out on quite a lot. Not only on the introductions of both students and the robot prototype, but the instructions from the general overlooking them. Not only that, but most of the students had already been lowered into the cave. Narx and Danae were no where in sight, so he assumed they were already inside themselves. "Come on, Evie. You're going to miss out on the action." It was just the most subtle of teasing coming from the falcon, followed by the softest of chuckles. He wouldn't give her the chance to stand up, instead he would scoop her into his arms as he pushed himself to his feet, spreading his wings he'd take to the air. This was a quicker option than taking the time to get geared up and repel into the cave, and Asger really hated being late. One could feel the entire atmosphere change as they made the decent into darkness, not just metaphorically, but in the dramatic drop of temperature. The air became damp and dank and the light above them became smaller and dimmer. The draft that whipped through the chasm was chilly as it nipped against bare skin. Darker it grew the lower they sank, but all it took for Asger was a quick blink of his eyes for his heightened senses kicked in. It would be the same for Eve as well as the rest of the faunus. Their human peers would have a trickier time adjusting, likely still having to rely on the faint beams of the flashlight to really be able to see anything. With a soft thud, boots would plant firmly on the ground. Setting Eve gently upon the ground, his boots would splash through the puddles, making his way to the collection of school personnel, handing out supplies. The redhead would take a pack for both him and Eve. Once again, he didn't exactly trust her not to lose it, or sneak into the supplies and use them unnecessarily. Slinging them both over his shoulders, he would then make his way over towards the small group of students where he could assume Danae and Narx were waiting. Surely enough, it didn't take him long to make out his sister's feather silhouette. Clearing his throat as he approached, his eyes would land on Danae and Narx before quickly scanning over the others. "I apologize for the for the delay... There was a... situation." Danae would surely know that was keyword for Evie was causing trouble again, the rest of them would be left entirely clueless. Not just to whatever situation he was referring to, but to his own identity. Smart as the falcon was, polite as he tried to be, his people skills had always been lackluster.

"You only have two legs? I actually have three. The spare is in the closet back in the dorm." he said pointing his thumb behind into their quarters. "Only problem is that it's purple." he came up close to whisper in Narx's ear, "Purple a'int my color. Shh!" he hissed. He made a small chuckle and then backed off to normal talking distance. Adam was happy that Narx was taking to the fist bump. it reminded him of his neighborhood since it was the default greeting. "I wonder how moms and baby bro is doin'?" he thought to himself. He shook his head and his dreads followed through the motions. He couldn't think about them right now no matter how much he wanted to. Adam chimed into the word 'Chaotic" with a welcoming grin. "Chaotic, you say? That just means you haven't been bored." he stated with his arms crossed and that smile ever present. "And I dare say I'm not too far off. I think you two make a smashing dynamic duo!" he said in a strained British accent. He coughed due to the harsh action on his vocal cords. "Gotta work on that!" he said as he hit his chest twice. Adam ran to the table to grab his equipment with just enough time to hear his comment about a cheery team DARK. "Hey! Does this face look cheery to you?" he asked pointing to his mug that was plastered with a straight face. The eyebrow twitched. The nose wiggled and the lips slowly started to curl into a smile. The smile then turned into laughter. "I may be cheery, but I a'int cheery!" he lied jokingly to save face. In all honesty, in which he believed all of DARK felt the same, he was worried about Ridley. She seemed off. The brown brawler had talked to her enough to know when something was wrong. Even with the small amount of info that she's provided him, he was 110% positive he knew her better than anyone in the school. Maybe in her life; give or take a few people. But that was a DARK problem and they were going to work it out internally.
"Life is awesome! Especially when you've tried ice cream for the first time! Have you ever had it! I think it's my favorite thing in the world right now." He silently praised himself as Danae acknowledge him. "Sweet! I did it right! Point one for Adam!" he thought. Such an easily satisfied man he is. The winged leader of Narx'steam explained to him who exactly they were paired with before Narx headed down to the cave. Azura and Danae following shortly after him. Adam felt a bit outdone due to him not jumping in first like the maelstrom of unpredictability that he was. "Hey, bedhead!" he shouted at Narx through the darkness. Though he meant it in a friendly way, he couldn't help but notice that it almost seemed like his brother in unexplainable energy hair always looked as if he rolled out of bed. "Wait for me!" he shouted quickly connecting the rappel and descending. His feet hit the ground kicking up dust as the small amount of shock dissipated throughout his strong legs. He heard his name and it was connected to some woman named Eve. "Eve? Who that?" he asked wanting to meet his partner. He felt a bit apprehensive because he wanted to stay with Ridley considering her luck with caves., but in the end, it was up to the leaders of the teams. He looked up to the 'surface' and shouted. "C'mon, you two!" he shouted to the two members of DARK that were lagging behind. "Don't tell me you both got... cold feet!" he joked. Mainly at Cecil, but decided to include Ridley for collateral damage.
Cecil appreciated the vote of confidence from her as he nodded his head while they were informed of the two new members to Danae's team. She told them they were from signal, causing Cecil to rub his chin as he soon said, "Signal? I think I might know them then." He told Danae and Narx as he could feel Azura getting herself ready as they were beginning to move to the edge of the cave.
Cecil himself got equipped in repelling gear as he looked down into the darkness, causing him to instinctively pull out a flashlight before he grasped the rope and heard Azura's pun before she waved to him and Adam, descending down first. He could hear more students getting ready before he looked to see Adam getting ready before Cecil jumped down, letting himself free fall for a bit before he grasped the repelling gear to slow his descent as he planted his feet along the wall. He jumped from it and descended further till finally he landed beside Adam and Azura as he jumped up and used the back of his hand to attempt to tap Adam's forehead gently. "Hey now, don't get too cocky Adam." He told the man with a friendly smirk as he cracked his knuckles while getting himself ready while the others descended. Since his name wasn't mentioned that much during the conversations, he had very little to add in.

"Exactly! Now you get it. I'm glad you're finally catching on." The just would come with a gentle nudge to his side with her elbow as he commented on the snake nest that was apparently her head, hidden behind long raven locks. Giving a tug on the thick and elegant braid, she'd send a teasing wink his way, paired as always with her signature smirk. All of it, the banter, the wink, the smirk, it screamed Ridley. Add a bit of a fiery temper and heroism and it summed the young huntress up. Ironic how it all seemed so natural, yet just so wrong at the same time. Perhaps it was the ever distant look in those golden orbs. Perhaps it was the purplish shadows that rimmed those polls of butterscotch. Or, perhaps it was something else entirely. Whatever it was, it was an undeniable fact that something was wrong, that something had been wrong since she had woken in the hospital. Something that had been festering like an infected wound, growing slowly worse, more painful, and more apparent rather than better. A wound she could not hide despite her many attempts at normalcy. At first it was likely just blamed on the fact she had just woken from a spontaneous coma, but whatever i was, it was changing the leader they had all grown to know, as much as she fought against it, as much as she tried to keep it from affecting her, as much as she tried to hide it. It was an issue that at some point or another would likely need to be addressed. There was just one problem, how did you poke and prod at an active volcano without risking an eruption. Concerning as it may be, it was a problem to solve another day. They had a mission at hand and so for once, it wasn't just Ridley brushing her issues away to deal with at a later date... or preferable never. It was the entirety of Team DARK. If they were to succeed, they needed a clear head space, something Ridley was clearly still struggling with. Hence the way she slowly drifted in and out of the conversation, only really responding when she was addressed. Missing the perfect opportunity to tease Cecil over his rosy cheeks, what a shame, as well as a few other key points of conversation. Another trait that was much unlike the usually loud and outgoing girl. It was like someone had poured a bucket of ice water over the fiery brimstone that usually ignited her soul. She was still there, but the fire had become embers. She was darker, dimmer, a mere shadow of herself. Despite everything, Adam did manage to get some spark of life out of her. First the slight spark within her brazen gaze, a spark of irritation that always ignited her hues when she thought of Scylla, and as always, memories of the cave brought back memories of likely one of the people that frustrated her most in the world. There were many people Ridley had frustrations with, but she had never been fond with that girl. In fact, they had butted heads from the very beginning. For just a moment her fists would clench at her side, jaw clenching tight. It was only with a forced roll of her shoulders and a hot huff of air passing through her lips that sh managed to release the tension from her body. As thoughts of Scylla were forced from her mind, it was more pleasant ones that filtered in. Well, mostly pleasant. After all, having a nail repeated lodged into your torso with all the pressure of a wooden beam and the psychotic blasts from a certain rockstar couldn't exactly be considered pleasant, but it was Adam that had come to her aid and it was in that moment their friendship had started. Of course the girl had been thrilled after the mission ended and Team SODA dissolved to learn that Adam would become their fourth teammate, seeing as their own popstar never really showed up. Perhaps the professor had scared her off when she'd showed up late to that first class. Still, even if fate hadn't worked in their favor, she had no doubt that they would have become great friends all the same. Letting out a soft laugh at his intended joke, that in reality wasn't all that funny considering the rather dire situation before them, but, would it really be Ridley if she wasn't ready to laugh and joke in the face of danger? Perhaps seeing this side of her come out would be reassuring, proof that whatever was going on in that head of hers, she was still the same girl they had trained and fought beside, even if more often than not it didn't seem like it. "I promise you this, if I get pinned by another beam and some other idiot decides its a could idea to slam on it like a buffoon, Not even the combined armies of heaven and hell will hold me back from knocking some sense into the moron." There it was, a classic Ridley-scale threat. The smirk on her lips might hint that she was joking, but anyone that knew Ridley would know that was far from the truth. She was completely serious. She'd lived through that stupidity once, she would not do it again. At least not without getting a good punch in afterwards. Now that was more like it, a bigger step towards her usual self. For just a moment it was easy to forget anything was even wrong to begin with. Moments like this came, but those also went. A burst of fire bursting from the embers, only to die down again as she slipped into silence. She was working to hold onto the moment, but it was like trying to cup water in your hands. Inevitably slipping through your fingers no matter how hard you forced your fingers together. Slipping, dripping, the smirk falling from her lips as sun-like orbs fell back on the opening of the cave. She listened as the general spoke to them, but never so much as looked his way. The only indication that she heard a single word that left his mouth was the anger flickering across her expression at the word pipsqueak. Sure, Ridley wasn't exactly the tallest, in fact, Adam towered an entire foot over her head, but she had never taken to kindly to being called short or small. At least not when it was in such a demeaning manner. If she was in her right mind set, she likely would have made a comment, intentionally loud enough that he would have heard. "Sure, call us all pipsqueaks, but just remember who is it you're sending off to do your dirty work." That would be a Ridley comment, but the anger left just as quickly as it came and once again she slipped into silence. A silenece in which she forced herself not to think of anything but the mission ahead. A silence in which she forced herself to focus. A silence in which she refused to dedicate even the slightest thought to him. To her brother.
It was only once Narx and Danae approached that Ridley returned her attention the the conversation at hand. She would meet Narx with that same old smirk, even if it was tainted by the dullness in her eyes. "They let you join this mission? What idiot is running this show?" It was with a teasing jest that she always greeted Narx. It had pretty much become a tradition since there very first meeting, but it was lackluster. Unoriginal and lacking her usual fire. Not quite up to par, but an attempt at normalcy all the same. She was trying much to hard to act norm, and even harder not to think of Zander. Perhaps she wasn't holding herself together quote as well as she thought. Surely not nearly as well as she would have liked. The real question was whether anyone other than her teammates would notice. Passing a friendly smile towards Danae, that would be the end of her hello. She left the rest of the greetings to her team, mostly Adam. However, even Azura had to lie on her behalf. They couldn't exactly let on the fact that their leader was no where near herself. Especially when none of them even knew what the problem was. Not even enough details to make a guess at it. Of course, as always, Adam was the closest to being able to make that guess, and yet he was still missing so many details. It's like the saying goes, one step forward and two steps back. Every time she revealed even the smallest secret, two more made their way to the surface, lying just beneath the surface. So close, yet the closer he got the further it drifted. They were secrets and details that would only come to light when she was well and ready for them. Something Adam had seemed to sense from the very beginning. He never pushed, never prodded. He simply waited patiently. She often wondered if it was that patience that made her feel so compelled to trust him with these dark details of her past, or if it was something else entirely that made her feel close to him. After all, whether they would admit it or not, it didn't take a scientist to see that there was a spark between them. It was another secret that kept making its way slowly to the surface, yet this one was much more pleasant than her own memories. This was something that made her feel warm and fuzzy, rather than cold and distant. It was something that made her heart flutter forward in time and her cheeks warm, rather than her heart to race frantically while her blood froze over. It was something that consumed her mind just the same, causing her to drift off into a dream-like daze. Yet this was just that, a dream, not a nightmare of some distant memory. It was something she couldn't quite explain, yet she could no longer ignore. Yet she was no closer to figuring out how to approach it. Yet perhaps it was this that compelled her to confide in Adam, maybe it was a combination of the bother. Either way, vague as the details may be, he was right in thinking he knew her better than anyone in the school. Almost better than anyone in the world. It was something he could pride himself on. Getting Ridley to open up was not an easy task. In fact, facing a fire-breathing dragon alone was likely a less formidable foe.
It seemed that once again she would be the last of her team to descend. However, it was a different kind of distraction holding her back this time. Having claustrophobic tendencies, she had never really been a fan of caves. It didn't matter how big the caverns might be, being surrounded by the damp, dank rock walls caused her skin to crawl. She could compose herself better in these situations than when she was actually being confined, for good reason, but it still didn't sit well with her. There was something particular eerie about this cave. Something she couldn't quite put her finger on. Something that gave her the strangest sense of dejavu. For several moments, golden orbs world pierce into the darkness expanding before her. Lines would crease her forehead as her eyebrows furrowed together in thought as she searched her mind for the root of this swelling anxiety in her chest. Then, just as suddenly as the studious expression had appeared, it would give way to one of shock, Shock and an underlying sense of fear. One moment she was standing before the opening of the Omega cave, and the very next she was a little girl again, her tiny form balanced atop the stones of the well in their yard, arms outstretched as she walked so carefully along the stones towered around the dark opening, just as she had been told not to a thousand times. It couldn't really be a surprise that the huntress had been just as hell-bound to break rules and seek adventures as she was now. As always, ignoring the threat and laughing in dangers face. Heart pounding in her chest, pressed forward with excitement, each step would cause the smile on her lip to grow. She had nearly made it halfway around. Usually she either stumbled, or got caught before this. The punishment that followed being caught by her parents was never a pleasant one, but she wanted to make it all the way around. There was no real reason for it, she just wanted to have the satisfaction of being able to say that she had. SO no matter how many times she was scolded or grounded, she wasn't about to give up. Not until she made a full circle balanced to haphazardly along the opening of the well. Then again, would it really end once she made that first circle. Likely not, but for now this determined young girl had but one thought on her mind. Raven locks streaming out behind her, dancing on the breeze, she would take another step, then another She was nearly there. She could feel the adrenaline building, egging her on, pushing her forward. Another bare foot would lift from the stones, searching for his next foothold, only her foot wouldn't meat stone again. Instead she would feel an unknown force thrust her forward. She might have screamed, however the air rushing so quickly past her stole the air from her lungs. For just a moment she was free falling towards the depths of the well. For just a moment she regret her decision to disobey. For just a moment she feared her her life. Then a hand closed around the back of her shirt. A hand that quickly yanked her up and tossed her roughly back onto the ground. Golden orbs, sparkling with tears, would peer up at the pale face of her old brother. One might expect her to through her hands around him, to thank him for saving her, but Ridley was no idiot. She had not fallen, he had pushed her. Instead those golden orbs would bore into deep blues with the rage of a thousand suns, blinking tears away and stubbornly refusing to let them fall. She would not give him the pleasure. Even as children the two had been polar opposites. Night and day. A lively princess of the sun and an eerie prince of the night. If he could be called such, Ridley preferred to think of him as a demon. The only real similarity between the two were the thick, raven locks that spilled from their head. It wasn't the first time Zander hand pulled stunts like this, locking her closets happened to be one of his favorites. It might be questioned that perhaps this is how her fear of tight spaces started, but Ridley knew better. No, Zander had sensed her fear and played off of it, as he always did. To think this was one of his more innocent pranks. To think this was before it really got bad, before he really became twisted. Even so, it had been her that got in trouble. After all, she had chased the boy down and tackled him like a ferocious lioness, pounding her tiny fists anyway she could reach. It was rather difficult to convince her parents he had been picking on her when he was the one with a bloody nose and she couldn't exactly explain the well incident without getting into even more trouble, something Zander was well aware off. Not only did he feed off the fear of others, but he was always one step ahead. He had tormented her from the day she was born and what started out as seemingly innocent sibling rivalry, quickly grew darker as Zander discovered his semblance and become the horrid wretch of a man he was to this day.
Sighing softly, she would shake her head once more to clear it. It was an undeniable fact that she feared her brother on some level, but she liked to believe that she hated him more than she feared him, so she focused on that instead. Something she always did, yet something that had grown more difficult over the past few days. Even so, she had to stand by the words she'd said back on the dropship. He did not own her and she would not let him control her life. Especially not now. Not when the life of her team and so many others were at risk. So as she so often did, she pushed the fear away, focusing instead on the rage, letting the fire born through the ice that had encompassed her core. She let the fire rage, burning within her golden eyes, fists clenched tightly as she slowly stepped forward to prepare for her descent. knuckles slowly turning white as her nails pierced the skin of her palms, reopening a series of old wounds, seeing as the ones from the hospital were still just scabbed over. It was this look of pure determination, the fire burning within her golden orbs that truly depicted their hotheaded leader, and it was not something she was willing to lose sight of. Not now. Especially not now. It wouldn't stop her from throwing a last paranoid look over her shoulder, but the Ridley whose tall boots splashed through the puddles of the tunnels below seemed much more capable than the solemn girl that had stood with them above. It would be in one fluid motion that she would grab one of the offered packs and sling it across her shoulder as she made her way to the rest of her team as well as Team SHAA. "Cold feet, no way. Just had to do some extra planning to be sure I can keep your big butt safe."Ironic considering it had been him to come to her aid, not just once, but twice in their last cave mission. It seemed she really was the last one to arrive, seeing as the two new members of Team SHAA had arrived. Fashionably late, as she often told her team when the scolded her for being late to... well anything before noon. She recognized the redhead, though she'd never really met him. The pinkette, on the other hand, wasn't the slightest bit familiar. "New teammates again, Danae? You're going to have to stop chasing them away Narxy. Eventually you're going to run out of options." She would tease lightly, a small laugh bubbling from her lips. Joking aside, she was truly grateful to not be facing the same dilemma. Cecil, Azura, and herself had been together since the beginning. Adam was a little late to the party, but not much, and considering she'd never even officially met the popstar intended to be their fourth number, Adam might has well been their only fourth. It certainly felt that way. The team meshed so perfectly together, despite their big personalities and blatant differences. For Ridley they were more than just her friends. They were her family. Seeing as the redhead hadn't introduced himself, and Ridley had missed out on Danae informing her other teammates about the pair joining them, as well as the puns. It seemed she was missing many opportunities today that she always jumped on. Truly a shame. SHe could have made a good one. All of that aside, Ridley stepped forward and took it upon herself to introduce her team to the newcomers, even though she had been the last to arrive, if just barely. "This is Azura, we'd all truly be lost without her. Then her Popsicle of a boyfriend, Cecil. Eliminates the need of an air conditioner, and of course our designated comedian, Adam." Gesturing to each of them in turn, she'd flash them each a smirk, as well as a wink towards Adam. "I'm Ridley, Leader of Team DARK." No special add ons or descriptors, just that. For it was truly one of the most important parts about her identity. A roll she held very near and dear to her heart.

It was no doubt that these two were an excitable and rambunctious pair. Perhaps they should be more solemn and serious, seeing as they were about to bound into a dark cave full of unknown dangers, yet they both seemed unpahsed. Then again, that wasn't out of the norm. Zylah always showed an unwavering sense of enthusiasm before any sort of mission, being the care-free thrill-seeker she was. The real question was whether this was the same for Felix or if he was simply feeding off of the thoughts and feelings that her tiny fingers were constantly streaming to him as they poked and prodded his horns. Given Felix's condition, it was hard to say one way or another, and Zylah was too naive and childish too give it much of any thought. This was just Felix. Her magic man, her partner in crime, her adventure buddy. It had been that way since she first bulldozed right over him at the ball. To those that had known Felix prior, whatever Zylah had done to the boy was truly miraculous. She'd turned his moping into joking. While memories of others often left him an entirely different person, it seemed Zylah's memories amplified the truest parts of him. The parts that no semblance could truly mask, not permanently at least. She made him whole, but the same could be said for him. For Zylah there was more beneath that bubbly exterior than anyone could have ever guessed. She was a girl on the run from her own hellish past. A girl that was not quite as innocent as she seemed. A girl plagued by horrific memories she would much rather forget and tormented by her own guilt. She was a girl who lived in fear of what would happen if her secret could out. In fear of what would happen if he found her, or if she sent for her. The girl was truly a mess, insides twisted and knotted, as much as she might try to ignore it, it was a pain she could never truly escape from. Ironic that he was supposed to be the forgetful one, but somehow when she was with him it was easier to forget the trauma of her past and focus instead on the here and the now. She didn't have to worry about him finding out about her, because he had known all along. From that very first moment she'd crashed into him and umber tones met mismatched hues, she'd shared it all with him, and he had stuck by her side all the same. He had seen that spark of light burning within the darkness. He had seen the innocence that was stolen from her combined manipulation that had lead her down an unforgiving path. The only path she'd had at the time. He saw more than her mistakes, and stuck with her all the same. Of course she hadn't known that until a couple weeks ago, but that conversation had changed her permanently. Not just her, but the two of them together. It had deepened the bond that was already there and strengthened that connection. It showed her that in Felix, she had found her own little safe haven. Maybe that was why she chose to cling to him so relentlessly. She'd never really had a home, and like a selfish child, she wasn't willing to give it up. Of course there were other aspects that went into it, but at the root of it, she just wanted to be close to him. Luckily, he didn't seem to mind. Looking down at the boy, whose shoulders she was perched on, a signature smirk would flash across her lips. "I thought you were supposed to be the magic man." Then again, in real magic shows it was often the assistant who did all of the work, so perhaps tasking her to get them back to the airship for their second go was a bit more accurate. Either way, there wouldn't be much time to dedicate anymore thought to it as Vance approached the two, camera in hand, as per usual. Not missing a beat, Zylah would follow suit, aiming her own finger guns up in the air like come wild cowgirl of the west. On her lips would be only the biggest of cheesy grins, doll-eyes crinkling at the corners as she through her head back in laughter. "Oooo! VANCE! Show me!" She'd declare, her head bobbing up and down like a bobble-head in her excitement. "Promise?" She'd question, extending a pinky towards him. After all, pinky promise were among the must solemn and unbreakable of promises. She'd seemed to have forgotten that now was not the time for puns, photo shoots, or anything of the sort. They were about to take place in a mission, equally dangerous and important. Ora was quick to point that out as she approached, practical as ever. Berry colored lips would pucker, pulling into a pout at the demand. "Serious?"The girl would question, as if it were the most outlandish thing she'd ever heard. "But what fun would that be?" Was this mission designed to be fun, well no. Was that going to stop Zylah from having a blast. Definitely not. Their last mission was a prime example. She'd busted her leg while getting caught up in her child-like amusement, and lived to tell the tale. Taking this serious didn't quite seem to be something she was capable of, but she hadn't let her team down yet.
The pouting would last but a moment, for as a sky-like gaze caught sight of a vivid strands of blue on the wind, the munchkin of a girl would be brimming with excitement once more. Lunia was another that had claimed a special place in her heart. She'd never really had a friend before. Well, unless you counted Molly, but for the first few years of their friendship, they were more like frenemies. Zylah hadn't realized the faunus in disguise had been looking out for her all this time. It was different with Lu. The very first memories of the girl were of her extended hand, offering help after that battle on the courtyard. It seemed like such a long time ago. Truly she had been a different person then. Between Lunia, Charlotte, and Felix, she'd found a family. Something she never really had. Its possible it might seem obnoxious or overbearing at how enthusiastic she was every time she saw any of them, especially considering she had seen her blue-haired leader back in their dorm, just before she boarded the airship. Time frame didn't seem to matter with Zylah, like a puppy, she was just as ecstatic to be reunited after an hour as she was after a day. For just a moment there might be concern that she was going to vault of Felix's shoulder's to tackle her in a hug, just as she had the other day, with the way she was squirming atop of him. She seemed to keep herself in check this time, mostly. "LU!" She'd squeal, despite the fact that the girl was hardly two feet from her. Was shouting really necessary? Of course not. Was that going to stop her. Never. It was just one of her many child-like charms. If you were ever having a bad day and needed to feel appreciated, Zylah was your girl. "I'm good as new! The soup was delicious." Releasing one of her hands from Felix's horns, she'd give her stomach several light pats. At Felix's request, the girl would maneuver her tiny form around his horns, being particularly careful for the broken one, left jagged and sharp by her own hand. Shocking as it was, it had been this fun-sized girl that had caused that damage. Tiny as she may be, she seemed to pack quite the punch. Lucky for the both of them, seeing as she had saved them all from a Felix-sized meltdown that only this behemoth was truly capable of. Seeming much to excited to hug the girl, she'd wind her arms around her beloved leader. Once again one might wonder how Felix managed to stay upright with such a wiggle worm on his shoulders. Squeezing the girl tight for several moments, just as she was pulling away, there would be a flip of white strands as her face turned, lips placing the quickest of pecks upon Luina's cheek. "The hug was from Felix, but that's from me." Falling into a fit of giggles, she'd very nearly fall forward before managing to pull herself back onto her perch. Once she had, she looked much too pleased with herself, that signature smirk of hers tugging at the edges of her lips.
"CHAR!" There would be another excited shout as her scorpion friend made her way over to them. Truthfully, she hadn't seen much of the girl lately. Granted, more often than not she was off causing trouble with Felix and Molly, but even so it seemed Charlotte had been more distant than usual. Often disappearing into the night and returning before she thought anyone would notice. Zylah noticed. Sure, she was naive in more ways than one and while she might not be able to discern the reasons for Charlotte's strange behavior, she at least noticed. She noticed the silence. She noticed the pained looks. She noticed the absence. Perhaps she should have pressed the situation, questioned her about it, but that was unlike Zylah. It was a thought she'd had time and time again. She wouldn't appreciate anyone else poking around in her panty drawer. It was personal business. She assumed it was the same for Char. Still, as solemn as the faunus had seemed lately, it wasn't going to stop Zylah from trying to spread her own cheer or excitement. "Hey Char, if there's another one of those flying thingies, will you teach me how to ride it?" She was of course referring to the nevermore from their last mission, but the giddy look on her face might have suggested she was referring to one of those silly quarter operated child rides. If Ora had been worried about her taking this seriously before, this brought a mountain-sized pile of concern to the table. They were supposed to kill the grim, not ride them. Which she would get to of course, but it never hurt to have a little fun first. That was her philosophy anyway. Speaking of serious, having Felix as leader in Jazzhands absence was possibly the worst idea. With his own reckless nature and Zylah at the reigns, well that just a catastrophe waiting to happen. Catastrophe and fun might as well been synonyms in her book. Clapping her hands, the gesture would be followed by the dramatic bob of her head. "I vote Felix for president!" She would exclaim, despite the fact she was not a member of Team JOLD and likely did not have a say in the matter. An eager dance would begin upon his shoulders as he made his first declaration as Leader, her lips spreading into a wide grin. The excitable huntress had been about to chime in with her agreement, after all, having to go back to her own dorm at the end of the night was often the worst part of her day. Of course she looked forward to seeing the rest of her team, but she always missed Felix. Besides, a giant sleep over sounded like an absolute blast. Her vote was delayed as she was very nearly received a nice slap to her forehead. Darting to the side to dodge his raised hand, her own hand would shoot into the air. "AYE!" No sooner had she expressed her excitement, Charlotte shot it down. The tiny, pale haired girl quite literally deflated, like a balloon punctured by a dart. Slumping forward, her entire form would collapse onto Felix, her own head falling into the place between Felix's horns, white locks spilling over her shoulders to hang in his face. "But whyyy nooot?" The complaint was that of a pouting child on the verge of a temper tantrum, voice muffled against Felix's dark strands of hair. Between her initial excitement and her immense disappointment, she too missed whatever speech the general had in store for them. Clearly there were more important matters to discuss. The bulldozing of walls and the prepping of giant sleepovers was at the top of that list. It was with an over-dramatized sigh that the child-sized huntress would pull herself up off of Felix, looking just as such. A child waking from a nap, whites strands of hair askew, escaping her handmade clip and dangling across her forehead and into her eyes. By the expression on her face, it had not been a good nap either, eyebrows furrowed and lips puckered into a Zylah-fashion pout. Maybe it was a good thing she'd never had true, caring parents, for a look like that surely could have gotten her anything her little heart desired. She would have turned out spoiled, where as now, she had fought tooth and nail for everything she'd ever had. Even if that fighting hadn't always been aimed in the right direction. She'd had to fight for her life from a very young age and it had taught her a certain level of determination a strength. A strength that was possibly hidden behind that stubborn pout and tiny frame.
Like it or not, the idea of conjoined dorm rooms was a discussion that was just going to have to wait until after this mission. Fought as she may to keep that pout in place, she really couldn't help it. The adventure before them was much too exciting and that enthusiasm was already showing through, the expression cracking and giving way to the same beaming grin. "Right, no risks!" She would promise, raising a delicate hand to her forehead in a quick solute. Despite the sincerity of the gesture, one might wonder just how serious she was. In fact, it would be much more surprising for Zylah to not take risks than the other way around. Not just day to day, but even in her combat style. Her weapon brought her up close and personal, there was no way around that, but she likely took it further than necessary more often than not. "No risks and no accidentally swatting tiny Lena! That includes you, miss Molly." Falling into another fit of giggles at her own remark, they would end just as abruptly as they begun as her orbs of vivid cyan and pearly white collided with that of the robot form in front of them. It was a sight that would have usually caused a sense of curiosity to rise in the girl, but rather than that child-like wonder, her expression fell completely flat. It was an expression that was entirely unreadable, both to her peers as well as Felix, as her hands slipped from his horns, cutting of the live-stream feed of her memories. It was with this blank expression that she would simply stare at the robot, doing her best to mask the unease that was slowly rising within her chest. Falling silent nearly the same time as Felix, one might wonder what had happened to the usually rambunctious pare. Perhaps a vital key of their past, one they shared, and yet one they hadn't quite put together. Even now, Zylah wasn't entirely sure what had brought on this overwhelming sense of fear, nor could she entirely depict the emotion itself. Was she afraid? What was there to be afraid of? The feeling was impossible to ignore, and yet equally impossible to determine the root of. She couldn't just shove it away either, the more she refused it, the tighter it wrapped its icy fingers around her core. Something about it was oddly familiar, bringing with it the uncomfortable sting of bile rising in the back of her throat.
It took several moments for the girl to compose herself, unnerved, yet determined to push forward before anyone could ask questions. How was she supposed to answer a question she didn't know the answer to anyway. "Shall we?" She'd ask the rest of them, that same smirk easily finding its way back to her lips as she gestured to the repelling gear at the mouth of the cave. "We'll race you! Last one in's a rotten egg!" With a last laugh at her childish challenge, her hands would wind themselves back around Felix's horns, the boy still seemingly lost to the world, but hopefully not for long. After all, she couldn't loose her own challenge. "Onward my valiant steed!" Clutching tightly to his form with both hands and legs, she'd prepare herself for the decent to come. She knew Felix well enough know that they would in no way be repelling into this cave. That was not his style after all. They'd just jumped off an airship, the bottom of a cave was nothing. Then again, they could see the ground when they'ed made that leap. Surely it took Felix a moment to regain himself, but once he had, he seemed to read her mind, and in some sense of the phrase, he had. With a burst of speed the two would burst through the air towards the cave opening and without even the slightest hesitation, throw themselves over the edge and into the darkness. The descent was like being swallowed by some horrific monster. The air rushing past them growing colder and more damp the farther they fell. Water dripping off the slimy walls stones was easily imagined as acidic saliva, ready to melt them into a digestible pile of mush. The light above grew smaller and smaller above them, making it impossible to discern her surroundings. At least for Zylah. It would have been impossible for her to see her own hand in front of her face. Truly this half-sighted, human huntress was at an even bigger disadvantage than usual. She had grown accustomed to half sight in the light, but not so much in the dark. Maybe it really was best that she had chosen to ride on Felix's shoulders. The faunus boy at least had enhanced night vision. It was a rather short drop to the bottom of the cave, nothing compared to their fall from the dropship. Once again Felix's feet would crash upon the stone with an earth-shaking thud, and once again the impact would reverberate through her entire body. That wouldn't stop the girl from letting out another breathless laugh. She might have found a new favorite pass time. "We win!" She would squeal excitedly, bouncing atop his shoulders in a little victory dance. Waiting for the others to repell down, or follow hers and Felix's lead, she'd direct Felix over to the table where they were handing out the survival packs. Taking it upon herself to carry both hers and Felix's, seeing as she was currently occupying the space on his shoulders and she didn't plan on moving any time soon. Her eyes, or rather eye, had adjusted at this point, but her eyesight was still lacking. Pulling out one flash light, she'd pass it down to Felix. "Light 'em up, magic man!" Sure, he might need it, but she certainly would appreciate the extra dark. Wouldn't want to filet a fellow peer by mistake. Rather than a flashlight for herself, she would choose a device that could fasten to the strap of her backpack. Like many other students, her weapon required two hands, and she didn't have the luxury of night vision like some of the other students. She didn't even have two fully functioning eyes, so best not take her chances when it came to having to choose between light and defending herself. Then again, losing her eyesight at such a young age had taught her to be resourceful. She'd mange one way or another. "Jeez! Whats taking those slowpokes so long?"

Vance couldn't help but laugh when he heard Felix's plan of breaking down the walls that separated their dorms. There were other teams' rooms in between the two, but the faunus did make a point that it would just be a giant sleepover. However, the boy could guess that the school staff wouldn't go for the idea, but it was a plan for another time. His attention moved to Charlotte, who wasn't keen to the idea, and seemed like she was nervous about the mission. Vance still didn't know much about his teammate and it was likely if he asked, he would be on the wrong side of her stinger. He would sigh as his mind moved over to the other horned faunus as her response odd when she got her picture taken. The boy understood when someone was mad about him taking a photo without permission, but Ora seemed more worried about people seeing the picture then getting her picture taken. He would ponder about this, but his attention was snagged back to his team leader, Lunia, as the team had gathered up and they need to prepare for the mission. Vance agreed with his team leader's orders and stood ready with his team, to go on the adventure in the caves.
The students would begin descending down the chasm as he would pick up on of the survival packs. The boy was slow while he went down, as he took note of the smell of the area and the taste in the air. If he had more time, he would try and take some samples around the area to see if what kind of paint he could make. With him safely on the ground, Vance would take a moment to take in his surroundings, filling his brain with inspiration. They would be in here for a while, so even with out his camera, he would have to use his mind to capture the area. Only the sound of the boy's scroll would take his attention as he would take a moment to gaze at the message that had been sent. Most of the stuff was expected for a cave adventure, but what worried him was that the grimm activity had increased. Vance would have to trust in the surface team to take care of anything that got to close to the chasm, so that they wouldn't be stuck down in the dark. He would stick with Lunia's plan and stayed with the group with flashlight in hand, eyes filled with wonder as he walked the hollow, damp halls.
The boy would be amazed by this place as it had its own natural wonder that he wished he could capture it. Alas, it was too dark to get a picture of it, and he would have to keep it in his memory and hope that it would stick. Vance would be careful with his footing, thanks to him taking in everything, including the jagged edges along the floor. However, the rocks did claim a victim as a person almost tripped on the rocks, but was able to get back his footing. The boy would look forward to see if the person was alright, and with that this place wouldn't meet safety standards, a smile would appear and his worry was gone. He would take note though as a member of the person's team came forward and explained that she would take the lead and be the groups' eyes. It made sense to Vance for someone with better vision in the dark to take the lead As he watch the interactions, he felt almost out of the loop as the people here seemed like they knew each other. The boy would direct his attention to his teammate, who had made another promise to keep and show the pictures of this mission after they were done.
"I'm not slowpoke, Zylah. I want to see everything here so I can make the memory of this adventure into a painting." He would reply back to his teammate as he did have some ideas of what to do, thanks to the many colors of his party seemed to show. Vance was enjoying himself with this, even if his thoughts of being the newest person here. He was just happy to meet these new people and hoped that he would be able to befriend them all after this was over. This feeling seemed to be heard as one of the team leaders began to introduce their team to the group. The irony of the name with this mission was not missed by him, but he would had the chuckle as he would nodded to the leader as a greeting before moving his eyes forward. Vance would wonder what kind of grimm would be down here as the cave wouldn't allow large ones to walk through. However, this didn't mean that there could be a large group of smaller species living down here in the dark. Luckily, with his ink and blade, the boy would be able to fight better in this close quarters environment.

XXXCyan hues fell upon the young horned girl that she towered over. Hell, Rachel still towered over Felix and Zylah who were double stacked against her. Paying no mind to the machine she brushed aside she would go to approach Ora. Truth be told, Rachel had forgotten about their meeting entirely with everything that had gone on over the past several weeks with classes, the dance, the swap. Everything was stacked against the three of cracking their childhood together, but it would happen one day. In response, Rachel would merely shrug while slinging her anchor over her shoulder. "Don't worry 'bout it, Ms. Baaa. We'll talk the talk later, but now we gotta walk the walk. I'm with you and team Llama over there. Get geared up and ready to drop, but, try not to bleed. I don't need to get woozy already." That was really the only warning the teacher could manage to give the students before turning away. A warning that made it seem more like she couldn't stand the presence of blood when in fact it was quite the opposite. The more others bled, the hungrier she got and the more ruthless she became. That was why she wanted to avoid smelling blood so soon. Why Aurtrox thought it was a good idea to send this rampant bloodthirsty teacher on a mission with so many students was an enigma. Maybe he truly thought the students would be in danger, but what if she was the danger?
Rachel's cyan hues would narrow though at the sudden change on Ora's mood at the arrival of another. While others may not have saw it immediately, Rachel of odd people saw the panic erupt on her face before trying to hide behind Felix. The worst part about it? She saw the black aura, something that Rachel remembered very clearly from the time that she met these children in the past. The same day that the Behemoth and Megalodon met in battle, the closest the teacher had ever came to death's door. A sigh escaping her lips, she trudged forward next to the students. She was about ready to shove Felix out of the way, her fingers nearly touching his head before she froze in place. ... Felix was the one she couldn't touch. She didn't learn that as a teacher, but as a victim in the past, that was forced to make that mistake. It wasn't her using her mind, but resorting to the instinct that told her whatever she was to do, to not touch that boy. Catching herself from manhandling Felix, she chose to move around him to Ora instead. "Oi, Ms. Baa, you're not about to lose it like he's done before, are ye? Come on, plug that black back crap and let's get moving." Was Rachel trying to be a voice of reason? What sort of blasphemy was this? The woman would nudge Ora, trying to break her trance of fear before she'd eventually move on her own. If Ora came with her, great. If not, well, she tried as a teacher at least.
Others were getting ready to descend, so she would begin that same process herself. Unlike those who readied themselves with rappel gear, Rachel instead took out her anchor and laced her fingers between the chains. "Next stop, Hell's doorstep!" With that, the goliath of a woman would leap into the chasm below. As reckless as it was, this was still a step down from the dangerous display that she performed in her survival class. After all, wrestling a nevermore into the academy took a lot out of her. If it wasn't for her semblance, it likely would've killed her. As all the light seemed to sap from the world, the woman would lash out with her anchor to hook into the wall to begin to slow her descent. The sound of steel scraping against earth and stone would pierce the ears of the poor students that were so unfortunate to be descending at the same time as her. It was only a matter of moments before her mass crashed against the ground, leaving a series of cracks in the stone floor of the cavern. The sound of her chain would whirl as it retracted back into her anchor, the woman throwing the weapon over her shoulder as she stepped forward. Cyan hues would begin to adjust to the absence of light, her natural gift as a faunus shining through as the world became mostly clear. "Oh damn, he wasn't kitten about the size of this thing. Reminds me of Zaffre's ol... ... Huh.. Head's a little woozy, maybe I shouldn't have jumped.." For some reason at the mention of her old master's name her head began to spin. It hurt to think about him sometime, as the trauma he left her scarred with would never truly leave. It was only buried deeper and deeper, as she chose to rarely ever feel again. By not thinking, she couldn't regret or be reminded. Stepping forward from the rappelling wall, she'd look out among the chasm while other students worked to catch up with those eager to get here first. "So we're Omega... The big chasm ain't our mission, we're lookin' for the side path. ... Heck, I think I can see the others in the distance. They're all down but screwin' around. Slackers, I tell ya!" Meanwhile, their own squadron wasn't even entirely in the cave yet. So, which group was truly slacking?
Departure was imminent. All the students had landed from the airships above and were now prepping to head below. Most of the students were wise enough to use the rappel gear provided. Others, however, were quick to jump a second time into the unknown below. The machine would pan its head, taking in the last details of the surface in before it would prepare to head below as well. It would note a particular group that stood out to the machine. Two students stacked atop one another. A young girl with a hue as white as the white wisps above, the other as blue as the cerulean sky. Her eyes were fixed on its presence, so the machine would lock its gaze with the student. There was a sense of unease clear as day, and surely it would feel as if the robot was staring into her very soul. After all, it was merely a visor that covered its own visual receptors. It had no eyes, nothing to connect with. Looking so deeply at something so empty, what could come of it? The two horned students with her as well all seemed to be locked in some sort of trace of fear or unease for a differing reason. If this was the best that Beacon had to offer, then this mission was going to suffer. It was for this very reason that the machine was assigned to the task, to pick up for the slack that those who cave under pressure caused. Turning away, the machine would merely motion its robotic fingers for them all to follow as it made its way towards the chasm entrance. Unlike humans normally, the machine was equipped with shock absorbers that would cushion a fall from this height effortlessly. So, if the students that had dropped survived, the machine built for such a task would have no issues.
'Operation in progress, beginning descent.'
The machine would dive into the darkness without rappelling gear, as equipping something without life with life-saving technology was a waste of the gear. Its own weight would likely be too much for the gear to properly use. The machine, of course, was unphased by the shifting lights as it was consumed by darkness. Equipped with the ability to see in the dark, though its vision had gone green, it had no issues once it was consumed by the chasm. With a hefty crack, a series of cracks would spiral from the impact. The machine itself could nearly leave a crater from its own impact. It wouldn't waste any time from its landing. While others seemed to get situated in their squads, the machine would proceed forward past the students and teacher. Its visual receptors were reflecting on the previously instilled information from earlier excavations. The chasm was ever expanding, but their goal was a path off to the right once they began to proceed further. "Simulated map acquired. The initial destination is further ahead, branching off from the main cavern. Once the vanguard is ready, we will proceed accordingly."

XXXIt really was all just a game to this little devil. Whether it be a game of keep away a most dangerous vial of dust that she treated as nothing more than a hackeysack. Or perhaps instead her reckless attempt to surprise her most precious bird by springing on his back mid-flight with the entirety of her weight. Any individual with rational thinking would know the dangers that laid with each of these actions, most of which had the common sense to avoid such recklessness. That was it though, most being the keyword. Eve wasn't like most. Far from it, in fact. A once girl, now young woman, who had the attention span of a seven-year-old but endurance that surpassed many of grown men. Her sole ambition was to live life how she wanted it, when she wanted to, without a second thought for what tomorrow would hold. After all, what good did worrying about tomorrow if you died today? Such ideology was how she lived her life and justified her actions, as reckless or terrible as they may be. It was all for the thrill, the thrill that kept her alive and going, all due to a life mantra she was forced to take at an age far too young. Perhaps if she hadn't been exposed to such a cruel world, that she herself wouldn't have had such a warped perspective on her own morality; or lack of. She lived the life she wanted, how she wanted, and there was no one that could tell her otherwise. Only advise, which Asger often did, but even he knew that in the end, Eve was in control of her destiny, and often the destiny of others. In most cases on the ground, her weight would mean nothing to Asger, something that had changed from when they were younger. When the bird a dragon first met, the cutest nerd bird was scrawny and weak. It was Eve who could hoist him over her shoulder and parade him around like her little precious, yet so much had changed. Even with her weight so recklessly tossed upon the airborne bird's shoulders, it was his frantic flaps that showed how strong he was, and that alone was what had saved them. If it had been anyone else, any other bird at this academy, the two would have crashed horribly. In fact, the bird she used as a cushion would've likely met an untimely fate. She knew Asger was better, though. She knew that he could endure it, he always had and continued to surprise her time and time again. Their freefall lasted only a few moments before he regained some semblance of control until their bodies together crashed against the ground with a quake similar to some of the stronger landings prior. The two of them had been the last to the ground, and their landing was anything but elegant as the bird's back began ravaged by the coarse rough surface.
Sure, the two of them had crashed horrifically into the surface below. OR at the very least, Asger had. Eve was fine, and even if she had been the one to eat the earth, it wouldn't only take her a matter of moments to be up and chipper again. Either or, the dragon faunus would have been doing just as she was now, laughing hysterically as her genius plan came to a close. She was exhilarated, thrilled, ecstatic. If there was a word to describe the most extreme and satisfied excitement, the girl felt it just as she felt the adrenaline pumping through her veins. The pinkette had landed gently on her dearests chests, panting heavily as she simply couldn't contain the sense of excitement and adventure, as well as seeming to get the upper hand on her nerd bird. If one hadn't just witnessed the near plummet to their death, nor knew the full context of their prior engagements, one might've thought that Eve was an excited young girl who had just tumbled into her dearest on a date. Her laughter was so cute and innocent, the smile on her face showing nothing but glee on curled pink lips. "Oh Adam, can we go again? That was a blast, amazing, exhilarating! I want to fall further next, you can land on me this time!" The girl had shrilled in glee, her fingers dancing against his chest while so carelessly holding onto the bright orange dust vial. letting Asger slip it from her fingertips.
Without missing a beat, vivid hues of turquoise shot open with a fearsome red glint, locking onto the boy with what could've been mistaken for killer intend. Her lips curled, showing her razor-sharp teeth in an irritable scowl at the deception, realizing her plan had backfired in the end. It seemed it hadn't occurred to either of them how close this interaction brought the two, chest to chest, practically nose to nose. "That's not fair, Adam! I've been practicing, really!" Perhaps not the most convincing statement she could have made. In fact, it was likely far more worrisome to the boy to know that she had recently pulled a similar stunt. Her tone became whiny, begging for some leniency from someone she knew far too well. He had won, no matter how she tried to deny it. There was no extent of her quivering lip pouty face with puppy dog eyes that could sway him once he set his mind in terms of her endangering herself and others. That didn't stop her, mind you, as the girl even threw her arms around his shoulders and tried to put on her saddest 'I'm really hurt' face to convince up to no avail. Eve didn't care about any other dust he had. Truly the only silver lining was the last tidbit of his deal. One that caused the murderous red glint among turquoise hues to vanish in a shimmer, her gaze softening as her pink lips curled up in a curious smile. "You promise? Even higher than the aircraft? What If I want to go to the mountain WAAAAY over there?" The girl chimed in with playful curiosity, scrambling over his shoulders while pushing his cheek to turn his head, pointing over at a distant mountain. There had always been one issue with taking this dragon flying, and that was once she was up that she never wanted to come back down. Flying had been her weakness, through and through, and it was that concept that sealed their deal no matter how badly she wanted to burst. Asger knew just how to play his cards right with her. Despite how twisted her mind was, how unhinged her actions were, she still held an adorable sense of innocence that a child had and could be persuaded at the drop of a dime. With each action, her mood seemed to change. From overwhelming excitement to seething anger, then pouting and begging to giddy excitement once more, then finally an irritable pout as she was reminded how she failed her 'debate' against him. To uphold her part of their promise the girl had both closed and covered her eyes, though she did attempt picking through the slits between her fingers. Where was she going to hide her precious dust, she wondered? Perhaps she caught a glimpse, but her vivid colored hues had always betrayed her. Possibly caught, she quickly closed them and turned her head. ... The question was, had she seen enough to know where he put her orange precious? Only time would tell.
All the excitement had come to a close once their pocket-sized calamity was hidden from the catalyst that was so desperate to use it. Allowed to open her eyes, she noticed that Asger's disposition had changed once more to one that she adored. His often sense of seriousness mixed in with their teasing nature of one another. His poke at her had caused her lips to curl once again, sharpened teeth showing through the gap. Both had similar thoughts, it seemed, as rather than getting up herself the dragon had already begun to move to cling onto her dearest who had pulled her in closer. Such likeminded moments showed how well the two knew one another, bringing out some of the cutest interactions between a most rambunctious dragon and awkward falcon. "Well we can't have none of that now, can we? We'd better catch up before I have to find something else to sink my teeth into~" She giggled with her words that held more meaning than one might think. While Asger had made a humorous poke towards her, her own playful statement held a truth that only Asger and Danae could truly capture. The girl often became restless and aggressive, ready to bite into something just for the sake of it. It was better that they found grimm for her to do that to, rather than waiting for the next student to cross her wrong and lose their face in the process. Delicate arms would wrap around the redhead's neck, paying careful mind to the position of her sharpened claws so that they held no risk of slicing his own delicate flesh. "Woowheeee!" Eve would shrill as the boy flapped his wings to leave the ground, taking to the air for but a moment before descending into darkness. Not even seconds passed for the scenery to change entirely. A thin light faltering the further the two descended. Where the cusp of darkness expanding before their very eyes may have been the most notable for others, it was the temperature for Eve. A faunus of her nature despised the cold in every way, shape, and form. It was the very reason she often wore sweaters and scarves wherever she went unless the sun was high in the summer season. In those cases she would often wear as little as possible in order to bask in the sun, absorbing mother nature's embrace. The deeper they went, the colder it got. While she was in fact prepared for such chilly weather, the sudden drop in temperature never boded well for her as her mouth of razors began clattering madly. "I change my mind, Adam, I want my explosion. I'd rather be in pieces than shiver like this!" She would whine, almost desperate while she began to nuzzle against him. Even before she was a faunus she had a distaste for the cold, often sticking by Adam as her personal heater. Ever since she grew her horns, though, it had become drastically worse. Once she found her dearest Adam again, the moments she wasn't clung to his side were fewer than the number of fingers on their hands.
Though sharpened teeth clattered while her face was nuzzled against his feathered chest, turquoise hues had begun to widen as the darkness seemingly began to fade. Unlike most faunus, Eve's traits hadn't come to fruition until maybe a month or so prior. Even skills that came naturally like night vision took her twenty years to develop, something she still hadn't quite gotten used to. Even though her teeth continued to clatter madly, colorful orbs began darting back and forth in the darkness to gawk at the true size of this chasm. "Why aren't the lights off? When did cave's have dimmer settings?" She'd inquire innocently, her childish curiosity shining with her lack of understanding of how faunus night vision actually worked. After all, she was only human until just recently. Barely human, but still human. Curious of Asger's response, she'd hum quietly in his arms as they reached the final stretch and touched down. The redhead had set the pinkette gently on her feet before stepping away to retrieve supplies. Asger had likely expected Eve to follow, as she often did out of her own desire to be by his side. Not this time, though, as her right nostril twitched. At just the twitch of her nostril, her entire mood had changed from fun-loving wonder to that of a serious hunter, a predator. There was a smell in the air, a familiar smell that no others had quite seemed to grasp. Eve did have a special skill, even before her faunus traits came to be, and that was her sense of smell. Her nostrils would twitch again, sniffing the air before sticking her tongue out as many reptiles did. Of course, she didn't smell that way, it was more instinct in that factor. But there was no mistaking what she smelled. It was something she craved constantly, one that often left her salivating. ".. Blood." With the exception of Asger and possibly Danae, her words would likely be met with confusion. The smell was faint and distant, but here none the less. There were multiple scents of it, in fact. Blood was blood, but everyone had their own scent. It was getting stale, but there was no doubt that something injured had been through recently, multiple things. Which in a cave could have meant anything. It could have been the remains of a decaying bat. A poor soul ravaged by grimm. One of their fellow huntsmen in the other group stubbing their toe. Whatever it was, she wanted it."It's further in, I'm gonna get it!" That was her only warning towards Asger and the rest of her team, as both of the avians knew how hard it was to keep Eve tethered without an actual leash. With Eve's right hand she'd ready her claws. With her left, Eve would reach towards her waist, arming herself with one of her several colorful daggers. Unless one of their teammates was on the initiative to stop her, the formation would already bust as the dragon of the sternguard began to distance herself with a series of splashed footsteps sounding behind her as she began to charge off into darkness. It was only fortunate that she gained her newfound sight, for the girl would've charged just as recklessly even without her faunus gifts.
