█BACKGROUND ▬ "The world is made with so much color. If art can tell the truth about something, my wish is to capture the moment we take back this world..."
In the world where a tragic end would soon began. a boy with white hair and with blue eyes was born into this world. Vance was born into a normal family but even so young, he showed that he loved to create art. His parents were beyond proud of this talent their son possessed and made a decision. They would do their best to help the boy to improve his skills and become the best artist in the world. When he was of age, he started to take art classes and it didn't take long for the fruits of his labor to grow. However, while he learned to improve himself, Vance was left unaware of the despair the world was leading to. He only learned how dire the situation was further into his life, when the kingdom of Atlas fell.
The boy continued his classes but finished them far sooner then his teachers thought he would. It wasn't to long after that one of his pieces was sold and with it, started to form a name for himself, even if it was a pen name. Suddenly, funds started to come in from both kingdoms to claim one of the upcoming star's latest works. Vance would pour his heart and soul into each piece he made and in them, people found some joy looking at his art. The money that came in he wanted to use on his parents, but with their protest, it was put into an account for his future or for supplies he needed. And so, the boy would continue to make his art and try to bring a bit of happiness to the people through his work. But while he kept himself hidden from his clients, Vance was able to make friendship outside of the art world.
While he had his art classes and even after them, the boy would attend school and to his classmates he was an ordinary kid. He make friends with a good amount of the class and his teachers thought that he was an adorably, sweet kid. The art classes did effect his grades but they remained mostly positive and he would pass. Vance was a kid filled with energy and many thought that he could become a great hunter. His friends were also a supporter of the idea, but were let down when heard that he wasn't going to purse to be a hunter. The boy would be asked on what he wanted to be, but he would only reply that it was a secret. His friends guessed that it had to do with their friend not attending classes during random times. This was because Vance was either working on his art classes or later on, to work on a new project.
But one year, he decided he would be his reveal, where he would finally reveal that he was the young artist that had stole people's hearts with his work. A youth at the age of twelve had made ripples with what he made, and had been inspired to make something special. Though there were many pieces that would be shown at this event, the one that would be at the center piece wouldn't be sold. This was because Vance gave his all for this piece and felt that it was the best one he had ever made. He would keep this one as a reminder for the hope of a better world, and to work in his own way to help people. The event would take place at Atlas, but the day before they would head out to the kingdom, something happened. It was explained to the boy that they wouldn't be able to go as it was now far to dangerous to leave Vale.
Vance was confused but his parents felt now it was best to tell him the truth about what was going on. For his father was in fact a hunter and through his experience, he didn't want his son to go down the path he went through. The job had taken both friends and family and they were afraid that they would lose their son as well. The boy heard all of this and told his parents he would still be an artist but then he surprised them when he explained that he now wanted to be a hunter as well. His logic was if they continue to lose people, then the world will become a lonely place. So, like how he cheered some people with his art, Vance wanted to help bring a better future to the world and capture that moment for future generations. His parents knew that there was no use changing their child's mind, and the two worked to help him complete his revived goal.
For the next five years, the boy would train to be ready to take the exam to join Beacon. He also found that he had been blessed with his power as it fit his art loving style. Though it was still unsure of how it worked, the father would help his son craft a weapon that would help what they had seen. The family knew that Vance wouldn't be ready for the start of Beacon's school year, but took the time to prepare him to join in the middle of the year. With the extra time, he learned to how to craft the inky ammo that he would use with his unique weapon. After he felt that it was time, the boy would take the test to enter into Beacon Academy and he was more then happy when he got accepted. █PRIMARY WEAPON █ ▬ Creativity's Edge █ ▬ The Creativity's Edge is a sword base weapon that doubles to assist Vance's semblance in combat. The blade is a long rapier that stretches up to four feet long and is carried in a wood sheath. The hilt locks on to the top of the sheath and hides a revolver mechanism that pumps the vital fuel that his true weapon needs. The big change to the weapon is pommel is a giant brush, where the unique ink ammo is flows from the revolver into the brush. To insure no accident happens, the sheath has a cylinder of cleaning fluid to remove the ink from the brush. █Melee Form ▬ Rapier █Ranged Form ▬ Though not its main purpose, the brush has the ability to throw ink at a target. (Max of 2, 3 post cool down to make another) With the help of dust, the possibilities of what Vance can create increases dramatically and also have odd effects on the ink. The canvas that the man's use can be flat surface or one that has to imagine in front of him, which takes more time. In both cases, Vance has to use a canvas he in visions in his mind and paint in the space. (One Post With Canvas, Two without a flat surface.) █*LEVEL 0 ▬ With Artistic Wrath at this level, Vance can make up objects up to one foot tall (1'-1'), as the mind canvas is viewed as one and a half feet. The object first appears as a two-dimensional picture of the object but when the man swipes for a second time, the object enters the third-dimensional plane. The object will appears as it would normally but the object will come out as with the same color as the ink used to create it and the odd effects of the dust and look mostly plain. They are also far less durable then there real life counterparts, and fade away after three posts or less if commanded. (1/4 Cartridges) (0-99 posts) █*LEVEL 1▬ At level one, Artistic Wrath allows him to work with a canvas at three. (3'-3'). The objects created by Vance are like before but now there appears to be more detail and has the same durability as the physical items. Example: Can replace a broken or lost gear. Because he has a better hold of his semblance, Vance can keep his ink from fading for six posts. (1/2 Cartridges) (100-199 posts) █*LEVEL 2▬ With more experience, Artistic Wrath's canvas has grown to six(6'-6'). At this level, Vance is also able to make more complex items, as long as he knows the properties of the item. Long with this, he has gained the ability to create animals that are able to move by his command. However, these take at the minimum of three swipes to stabilize the new art creature, With his skill renew, the ink is able to stay for at least ten posts, but the creatures can only last five posts. (1 Cartridges) (200-299 posts) █*LEVEL 3 ▬ Artistic Wrath has grown powerful over time and the mind canvas has grown to nine feet(9'-9'). At this level, Vance is able to make platforms to which him or others can stand on to gain height or to cross a gap. Ink creations are able to last up to fifteen posts while the ink creatures last eight posts. The creatures can be infused with dust and can act on their own with less guidance from Vance as they did before. (2 Normal Cartridges, or 1 normal and 1 dust ink) (300-399 posts) █*DRAWBACKS ▬ Vance is limited to the range of his canvas to do his work and can't go past the edges or the creation will fail. The problem is that his creations are weak against water as they will break apart if touched by it or by melee weapons or attacks, which if it takes to many hits will cause them to pop and fade away. His semblance is limited to how much ink he has on hand, and if he runs out of it, he will be unable to use it. The man's brush is also the main way that the youth is able to use his semblance and would need to get it back in order to fight.

As far as thing I would like before I approve this character there’s not much. So how much ink do you carry on you in any one moment and how much ink does each size creation use? Also what effects does adding dust do, I assume it adds the elemental effect of the dust but the crew and I need it to be written in your profile.

█BACKGROUND ▬ "The world is made with so much color. If art can tell the truth about something, my wish is to capture the moment we take back this world..."
In the world where a tragic end would soon began. a boy with white hair and with blue eyes was born into this world. Vance was born into a normal family but even so young, he showed that he loved to create art. His parents were beyond proud of this talent their son possessed and made a decision. They would do their best to help the boy to improve his skills and become the best artist in the world. When he was of age, he started to take art classes and it didn't take long for the fruits of his labor to grow. However, while he learned to improve himself, Vance was left unaware of the despair the world was leading to. He only learned how dire the situation was further into his life, when the kingdom of Atlas fell.
The boy continued his classes but finished them far sooner then his teachers thought he would. It wasn't to long after that one of his pieces was sold and with it, started to form a name for himself, even if it was a pen name. Suddenly, funds started to come in from both kingdoms to claim one of the upcoming star's latest works. Vance would pour his heart and soul into each piece he made and in them, people found some joy looking at his art. The money that came in he wanted to use on his parents, but with their protest, it was put into an account for his future or for supplies he needed. And so, the boy would continue to make his art and try to bring a bit of happiness to the people through his work. But while he kept himself hidden from his clients, Vance was able to make friendship outside of the art world.
While he had his art classes and even after them, the boy would attend school and to his classmates he was an ordinary kid. He make friends with a good amount of the class and his teachers thought that he was an adorably, sweet kid. The art classes did effect his grades but they remained mostly positive and he would pass. Vance was a kid filled with energy and many thought that he could become a great hunter. His friends were also a supporter of the idea, but were let down when heard that he wasn't going to purse to be a hunter. The boy would be asked on what he wanted to be, but he would only reply that it was a secret. His friends guessed that it had to do with their friend not attending classes during random times. This was because Vance was either working on his art classes or later on, to work on a new project.
But one year, he decided he would be his reveal, where he would finally reveal that he was the young artist that had stole people's hearts with his work. A youth at the age of twelve had made ripples with what he made, and had been inspired to make something special. Though there were many pieces that would be shown at this event, the one that would be at the center piece wouldn't be sold. This was because Vance gave his all for this piece and felt that it was the best one he had ever made. He would keep this one as a reminder for the hope of a better world, and to work in his own way to help people. The event would take place at Atlas, but the day before they would head out to the kingdom, something happened. It was explained to the boy that they wouldn't be able to go as it was now far to dangerous to leave Vale.
Vance was confused but his parents felt now it was best to tell him the truth about what was going on. For his father was in fact a hunter and through his experience, he didn't want his son to go down the path he went through. The job had taken both friends and family and they were afraid that they would lose their son as well. The boy heard all of this and told his parents he would still be an artist but then he surprised them when he explained that he now wanted to be a hunter as well. His logic was if they continue to lose people, then the world will become a lonely place. So, like how he cheered some people with his art, Vance wanted to help bring a better future to the world and capture that moment for future generations. His parents knew that there was no use changing their child's mind, and the two worked to help him complete his revived goal.
For the next five years, the boy would train to be ready to take the exam to join Beacon. He also found that he had been blessed with his power as it fit his art loving style. Though it was still unsure of how it worked, the father would help his son craft a weapon that would help what they had seen. The family knew that Vance wouldn't be ready for the start of Beacon's school year, but took the time to prepare him to join in the middle of the year. With the extra time, he learned to how to craft the inky ammo that he would use with his unique weapon. After he felt that it was time, the boy would take the test to enter into Beacon Academy and he was more then happy when he got accepted. █PRIMARY WEAPON █ ▬ Creativity's Edge █ ▬ The Creativity's Edge is a sword base weapon that doubles to assist Vance's semblance in combat. The blade is a long rapier that stretches up to four feet long and is carried in a wood sheath. The hilt locks on to the top of the sheath and hides a revolver mechanism that pumps the vital fuel that his true weapon needs. The big change to the weapon is pommel is a giant brush, where the unique ink ammo is flows from the revolver into the brush. He needs to have seen the object or have an idea of what he needs to make before he swipes the brush. Depending on the size of the object, it will take more swipes and more ink to create it. With the help of dust, the possibilities of what Vance can create increases dramatically and also have odd effects on the ink. The canvas that the man's use can be flat surface or one that has to imagine in front of him, which takes more time. In both cases, Vance has to use a canvas he in visions in his mind and paint in the space. (One paragraph = One swipe) █*LEVEL 0 ▬ With Artistic Wrath at this level, Vance can make up objects up to one foot tall (1'-1'), as the mind canvas is viewed as one and a half feet. The object first appears as a two-dimensional picture of the object but when the man swipes for a second time, the object enters the third-dimensional plane. The object will appears as it would normally but the object will come out as with the same color as the ink used to create it and the odd effects of the dust and look mostly plain. They are also far less durable then there real life counterparts, and fade away after three posts or less if commanded. (1/4 Cartridges) (0-99 posts) █*LEVEL 1▬ At level one, Artistic Wrath allows him to work with a canvas at three. (3'-3'). The objects created by Vance are like before but now there appears to be more detail and has the same durability as the physical items. Example: Can replace a broken or lost gear. Because he has a better hold of his semblance, Vance can keep his ink from fading for six posts. (1/2 Cartridges) (100-199 posts) █*LEVEL 2▬ With more experience, Artistic Wrath's canvas has grown to six(6'-6'). At this level, Vance is also able to make more complex items, as long as he knows the properties of the item. Long with this, he has gained the ability to create animals that are able to move by his command. However, these take at the minimum of three swipes to stabilize the new art creature, With his skill renew, the ink is able to stay for at least ten posts, but the creatures can only last five posts. (1 Cartridges) (200-299 posts) █*LEVEL 3 ▬ Artistic Wrath has grown powerful over time and the mind canvas has grown to nine feet(9'-9'). At this level, Vance is able to make platforms to which him or others can stand on to gain height or to cross a gap. Ink creations are able to last up to fifteen posts while the ink creatures last eight posts. The creatures can be infused with dust and can act on their own with less guidance from Vance as they did before. (2 Normal Cartridges, or 1 normal and 1 dust ink) (300-399 posts) █*DRAWBACKS ▬ Vance is limited to the range of his canvas to do his work and can't go past the edges or the creation will fail. The biggest problem that his creations has is water as they will break apart if touched by it. The man's brush is also the main way that the youth is able to use his semblance and would need to get it back in order to fight.

So for the ink creations, how does dust affect them; like how does it augment them (fire dust make it a burning ink creation, wind ink makes something that constantly has winds pushing out of it from all directions, etc)? Does it affect the items before level 3, or does it never affect items? How does it affect his creatures? As a general rule with dust, their effects for semblance/melee weapons can last for 5 posts (or 3 uses, but 5 posts seems more appropriate here). 7.You do need a cooldown for these creations. We have a few suggestions: Option 1: Max number of creations, with a cooldown before he can make more (IE He can make 3 creations and then must wait 5 posts before making more) Option 2: He can only make a single creation before going through a cooldown before he can make more. 8. Also from the description: "The canvas that the man's use can be flat surface or one that has to imagine in front of him, which takes more time." How much longer does it take in absence of a flat surface? See it mentioned here but the nowhere else.

Up to you. It is good to always have a spare for emergencies but up to Vance. If you do keep it, just try to find a blade length; I think 5-6 inch is an average used but can be a bit bigger if you want.

Yea, if you add that dust effects having that duration it would be good.

In terms of cooldown, im not saying how long the creatures last. I'm asking more so for a timer between being able to make them. Cause as it stands he can keep making them one after another with the only limit being how much ink he brought. Why I had phrased the options as he can make a certain number before going on cooldown, or had to wait a bit after each one to make another.

Alright, so I would say he goes through a 3 post cooldown after he makes one before he can make another (with a max of 2 of them out at a time).
So final thing to ask, since it was pointed out to me by another judge: for the creations, they should be destroyed by other means aside from water. Like if someone were to hit it with a sword or grimm attacking it, can it be destroyed that way? (normal bullets not affecting it would make sense, just asking for like melee weapons and all).

█BACKGROUND ▬ "The world is made with so much color. If art can tell the truth about something, my wish is to capture the moment we take back this world..."
In the world where a tragic end would soon began. a boy with white hair and with blue eyes was born into this world. Vance was born into a normal family but even so young, he showed that he loved to create art. His parents were beyond proud of this talent their son possessed and made a decision. They would do their best to help the boy to improve his skills and become the best artist in the world. When he was of age, he started to take art classes and it didn't take long for the fruits of his labor to grow. However, while he learned to improve himself, Vance was left unaware of the despair the world was leading to. He only learned how dire the situation was further into his life, when the kingdom of Atlas fell.
The boy continued his classes but finished them far sooner then his teachers thought he would. It wasn't to long after that one of his pieces was sold and with it, started to form a name for himself, even if it was a pen name. Suddenly, funds started to come in from both kingdoms to claim one of the upcoming star's latest works. Vance would pour his heart and soul into each piece he made and in them, people found some joy looking at his art. The money that came in he wanted to use on his parents, but with their protest, it was put into an account for his future or for supplies he needed. And so, the boy would continue to make his art and try to bring a bit of happiness to the people through his work. But while he kept himself hidden from his clients, Vance was able to make friendship outside of the art world.
While he had his art classes and even after them, the boy would attend school and to his classmates he was an ordinary kid. He make friends with a good amount of the class and his teachers thought that he was an adorably, sweet kid. The art classes did effect his grades but they remained mostly positive and he would pass. Vance was a kid filled with energy and many thought that he could become a great hunter. His friends were also a supporter of the idea, but were let down when heard that he wasn't going to purse to be a hunter. The boy would be asked on what he wanted to be, but he would only reply that it was a secret. His friends guessed that it had to do with their friend not attending classes during random times. This was because Vance was either working on his art classes or later on, to work on a new project.
But one year, he decided he would be his reveal, where he would finally reveal that he was the young artist that had stole people's hearts with his work. A youth at the age of twelve had made ripples with what he made, and had been inspired to make something special. Though there were many pieces that would be shown at this event, the one that would be at the center piece wouldn't be sold. This was because Vance gave his all for this piece and felt that it was the best one he had ever made. He would keep this one as a reminder for the hope of a better world, and to work in his own way to help people. The event would take place at Atlas, but the day before they would head out to the kingdom, something happened. It was explained to the boy that they wouldn't be able to go as it was now far to dangerous to leave Vale.
Vance was confused but his parents felt now it was best to tell him the truth about what was going on. For his father was in fact a hunter and through his experience, he didn't want his son to go down the path he went through. The job had taken both friends and family and they were afraid that they would lose their son as well. The boy heard all of this and told his parents he would still be an artist but then he surprised them when he explained that he now wanted to be a hunter as well. His logic was if they continue to lose people, then the world will become a lonely place. So, like how he cheered some people with his art, Vance wanted to help bring a better future to the world and capture that moment for future generations. His parents knew that there was no use changing their child's mind, and the two worked to help him complete his revived goal.
For the next five years, the boy would train to be ready to take the exam to join Beacon. He also found that he had been blessed with his power as it fit his art loving style. Though it was still unsure of how it worked, the father would help his son craft a weapon that would help what they had seen. The family knew that Vance wouldn't be ready for the start of Beacon's school year, but took the time to prepare him to join in the middle of the year. With the extra time, he learned to how to craft the inky ammo that he would use with his unique weapon. After he felt that it was time, the boy would take the test to enter into Beacon Academy and he was more then happy when he got accepted. Vance would then leave to the school so that he could take his next step into a bigger world... (To Be Continued)

█PRIMARY WEAPON █ ▬ Creativity's Edge █ ▬ The Creativity's Edge is a sword base weapon that doubles to assist Vance's semblance in combat. The blade is a long rapier that stretches up to four feet long and is carried in a wood sheath. The hilt locks on to the top of the sheath and hides a revolver mechanism that pumps the vital fuel that his true weapon needs. The big change to the weapon is pommel is a giant brush, where the unique ink ammo is flows from the revolver into the brush. To insure no accident happens, the sheath has a cylinder of cleaning fluid to remove the ink from the brush. █Melee Form ▬ Rapier █Ranged Form ▬ Though not its main purpose, the brush has the ability to throw ink at a target. █*NAME ▬ Artistic Wrath █*AURA COLOR ▬ Black, White Outline █*DESCRIPTION █ ▬ Vance's semblance allows the man to use ink from Creativity's Edge to paint what he needs. He needs to have seen the object or have an idea of what he needs to make before he swipes the brush. Depending on the size of the object, it will take more swipes and more ink to create it. (Max of 2, 3 post cool down to make another) With the help of dust, the possibilities of what Vance can create increases dramatically and also have odd effects on the ink. The canvas that the man's use can be flat surface or one that has to imagine in front of him, which takes more time. In both cases, Vance has to use a canvas he in visions in his mind and paint in the space. (One Post With Canvas, Two without a flat surface.) █*LEVEL 0 ▬ With Artistic Wrath at this level, Vance can make up objects up to one foot tall (1'-1'), as the mind canvas is viewed as one and a half feet. The object first appears as a two-dimensional picture of the object but when the man swipes for a second time, the object enters the third-dimensional plane. The object will appears as it would normally but the object will come out as with the same color as the ink used to create it and the odd effects of the dust and look mostly plain. They are also far less durable then there real life counterparts, and fade away after three posts or less if commanded. (1/4 Cartridges) (0-99 posts) █*LEVEL 1▬ At level one, Artistic Wrath allows him to work with a canvas at three. (3'-3'). The objects created by Vance are like before but now there appears to be more detail and has the same durability as the physical items. Example: Can replace a broken or lost gear. Because he has a better hold of his semblance, Vance can keep his ink from fading for six posts. (1/2 Cartridges) (100-199 posts) █*LEVEL 2▬ With more experience, Artistic Wrath's canvas has grown to six(6'-6'). At this level, Vance is also able to make more complex items, as long as he knows the properties of the item. Long with this, he has gained the ability to create animals that are able to move by his command. However, these take at the minimum of three swipes to stabilize the new art creature, With his skill renew, the ink is able to stay for at least ten posts, but the creatures can only last five posts. (1 Cartridges) (200-299 posts) █*LEVEL 3 ▬ Artistic Wrath has grown powerful over time and the mind canvas has grown to nine feet(9'-9'). At this level, Vance is able to make platforms to which him or others can stand on to gain height or to cross a gap. Ink creations are able to last up to fifteen posts while the ink creatures last eight posts. The creatures can be infused with dust and can act on their own with less guidance from Vance as they did before. (2 Normal Cartridges, or 1 normal and 1 dust ink) (300-399 posts) █*DRAWBACKS ▬ Vance is limited to the range of his canvas to do his work and can't go past the edges or the creation will fail. The problem is that his creations are weak against water as they will break apart if touched by it or by melee weapons or attacks, which if it takes to many hits will cause them to pop and fade away. His semblance is limited to how much ink he has on hand, and if he runs out of it, he will be unable to use it. The man's brush is also the main way that the youth is able to use his semblance and would need to get it back in order to fight.
