Kumiho:
  1. At the ends of their legs, they have animal-esque paws, and because of this they do not wear shoes
  2. In addition to their varying levels of furriness, the Kumiho have large ears that help to regulate their heat
  3. The number of tails they have indicates their innate magical potential
  4. Lifespan varies, but a healthy Kumiho with 7 tails can live for several centuries
  5. Do not tend to be phys strong
  6. Indiv w/ fewer tails (2-4) are more agile and quick on their feet, those w/ more tails have higher reliance on magical abilities
  7. Can handle both heat and cold very well, bodies having effective heat mnging capabilities. When wet tails will become heavy v quickly, so not fond of swimming or rain. In addition, v susceptible to colds
  8. Magic consists of mainly barriers, charms, and illusions
  9. Their society is divided into several villages, led by group of skilled and respected family heads and elders
  10. Social castes both high and low exist, but they are can be transcended through hard work, or marriage arrangements to a family of a higher class
  11. Villages are all made up of a dozen or so families on average
  12. Family is a central feature of their culture, and often several generations will live on the same shared land within the village
  13. Arranged marriages tend to be the norm in Kumiho culture, but the betrothed are encouraged to go on dates with each other to determine their level of compatibility
  14. If an engagement is broken, or in the case of lower-class individuals who have not been arranged a partnership, the Kumiho courting process focuses on earning the approval of their love interest's family.

Naga:
  1. Nagas, as well as having slitted pupils, are the only known race that do not have legs. Instead they posses a long and powerful tailt
  2. When stretched out they can reach a length of up to 9 feet, but have been known to be as short as 6 feet. With most falling in between the two, and the average being about 7 feet or so; with at least half of their height being comprised of their tail
  3. This scaled race take great pride in their lower half, polishing their scales to keep their tails lustrous and beautiful
  4. Adult Nagas shed once a month, a rate they reach sometime when they're Juniors
  5. The week prior to shedding they will often feel lethargic or nervous as their body prepares for shedding
  6. Nagas are also equipped with hollow fangs with which they inject venom, small sacs in the roof of their mouth contain the toxin, which can be contracted at will. A typical Naga's venom can cause nausea, stomach cramps, or even temporary paralysis for about one to two hours
  7. Naga's are typically small. They also have the ability to hold themselves at any height that is consistent with their tail. Unlike our world snakes, they have developed racial magic to let them push up on their tails as needed. So some can hold themselves at 2ft, while others might prefer to hold themselves higher. It's preference!
  8. Nagas can use their tails as weapons, smacking any would-be attacker
  9. Besides their natural weapons Nagas are immune from most poisons themselves and enjoy a long life span, living up to 300 years
  10. Extremely susceptible to the cold
  11. When they're chilled, making them drowsy and quite uncomfortable until they've warmed up
  12. Nagas enjoy a racial magic that gives them the ability to see heat signatures, including at night. This means that they can see quite well even in the dark, unless their surroundings are completely cold, which they'd despise to be in anyway
  13. They also have a natural affinity for poison and status magics. That which causes illness, mental distortion, confusion, illusions, and deceptions
  14. Lead by a singular person, called the Brood Mother regardless of gender, the government can be described loosely as a monarchy
  15. Families, much like the Naga race as a whole, are led by a single person called the Mother, regardless of gender
  16. Being deemed Mother is a highly coveted position within families, and so its not unheard of for there to be infighting among family members to determine who the Mother will be should the title need to be passed on
  17. Naga have very affectionate families and care deeply for one another. Neglect is not tolerated and parents or relatives guilty of it are looked down upon harshly
  18. Naga prefer to be very touchy with their love interests, hand-holding, tail touching, and forehead booping is very popular among interested pairings. In addition to physical contact, Naga practice a form of hypnotic dance to capture their desire's interest when they're especially invested in someone
  19. A true, ultimate display of affection between courting Naga is gently touching noses together. It's a sign of ultimate acceptance for the courting parties
  20. When Naga are interested in imbuing stones, they often repeat the courting practices in addition to speaking with their desired imbuing partner(s)
  21. While Naga do make friends, those relationships are often easily tossed aside should their family need them
  22. Very polite race - manners are incredibly important to them. However, backhanded compliments meant to be insults are also very, very common. They are polite, but not necessarily nice
  23. As long as you're polite about it, manipulation and outright lying is an okay practice for the most part
  24. Bakeneko and Naga share a religion, but the major difference is that Naga believe the Nine Gods are all snakes
  25. While Bakeneko prize Vespercats as being essentially gifts from the Gods, Naga contest that it's actually Coatl. Coatl are therefore highly prized by Naga and are well cared for
  26. Having no real interaction with other races, Naga are only really familiar with Bakeneko. The two races are close friends and allies, and will stick up for each other should the new world prove to be hostile

Chimera:
  1. Their thick, textured horns come in a variety of sizes, from small nubs to long, graceful curves
  2. Each major clan is ruled by an elder female or female presenting individual called a Rani, and, to a lesser degree, the novice Rani that act as her attendants
  3. The Rani and novice Rani are believed to be chosen by the Goddess Oreia, due to the fact that Rani are especially gifted in divination and are incredibly long-lived compared to other Chimera
  4. Chimera family life is different depending on the clan they belong to. At the top are the large aristocratic clans, called the great clans
  5. Regardless of their familial ties, Chimera are incredibly protective of anyone they share a surname with
  6. It should be noted that while the Chimera are matriarchal in terms of the Rani, this does not affect any of them who are not. For example, there is no stress on a need for female children, and most jobs are available to all genders
  7. Chimera are generally very passionate and dramatic about courtship and relationships
  8. They generally feel that they must prove themselves to their prospective partners, opting for displays of strength and resources
  9. Chimera value ambition, clan honor and protectiveness above all else
  10. Chimera believe that in order to be of use to their clans, they must be strong, powerful and as self-sufficient as possible
  11. It is said that Chimera have three faces – that which they show to outsiders, that which they show to their race, and that which they show to their clan
  12. It is hard to find Chimera native to the Scepters who will tolerate the presence of a Daydream
  13. For Chimera, flight is a symbol of independence. To become flightless or never develop the ability to fly is not a situation taken lightly, and is often thought to be a sign from the gods that they have other plans for the disabled Chimera. Because of this, many disabled Chimera find themselves encouraged to seek an unconventional path in life, with many becoming priests, mages and spirit-workers
  14. While Chimera worship the Nine, they are incredibly devout toward Oreia the Protector
  15. Most Chimera tend to possess an innate ability for magic
  16. The Chimera have a thorny past with the other races of Below. Their decision to not join the war was met with sanctions from the Baphomet, many of whom still mistrust the majority of Chimera for their selfishness
  17. The race as a whole get along best with Demons, to whom many are thankful for forgiving their race and allowing them to become part of Below's greater community. However, many Chimera are still unwilling to trust any other race

1. One of weaker races, incredibly agile, ability to fade and teleport short distances makes rather difficult to hit w traditional weapons
2. With proper training & focus, may gain ability to become entirely invisible w/o aid of magic
3. Natural cunning & intelligence
4. Naturally gifted with wielding magic
5. When they apply themselves, great capacity for spell casting
6. Many often describe how able to "feel" the qualities of the energy and materials used to perform magic, often finding easier to take a more abstract approach than one of intense study and ritual
7. Natural ability to hover/levitate own bodies. Adults can accomplish about 2-3 feet in height (emotionally compromised Geist may have trouble focusing on hovering however)
8. They believe that children are best raised communally (often considered negligent parents if they try to raise their children in a household with no less than five adults)
9. They often tease and steal from their prospective partners in a complicated system of stealing, leaving trinkets, flaunting what they've stolen, and having it stolen back. More committed Geists will often plan elaborate heists together as a show of daring, skill and commitment. (traditional courtship rituals are often lost on prospective partners of other races, instead misunderstood as cruelty instead of playful affection)
10. Note that Geists traditionally tend toward romantic triads, instead of couples
11. Geists value cunning and manipulation above all else. Even young Geists are incredibly skilled at manipulation. (Does not mean that Geists lack a strong moral compass. Young Geists are taught to exercise temperance and restraint – if you harm others you open the door to harm yourself, you do not steal what you don't wish to be stolen, and you do not trick someone you do not want to be tricked by. Because of this, most Geists are careful about what they take and who they take it from.)

  1. normal range for a Cherub of any gender is 3'5" to 4'9" when fully grown
  2. two alignments of Cherub: the Solar and the Lunar. Both have typically textured skin, and plumage around specific parts of their body
  3. Solar cherubs prefer pristine, delicate, pretty side of small builds
  4. Sport full plumage around their necks, ankles, and wrists, with long feathered ears which are often called "adorable."
  5. Typically sport warmer and vibrant colors
  6. They have a hard time seeing in the dark
  7. Would have you believe they'll live forever, reality: live around 350 years
  8. Due to their small size, are rather frail physically
  9. Normal tasks (ex. lifting heavy bag of groceries, carrying a few boxes) can be taxing on average C. Because of this, they rely heavily on magic, especially household spells
  10. Strong wind could blow a Cherub away if not careful, so tend to stay indoors during volatile weather
  11. Cherubs are largely vegetarians, but they eat lots of meat alternatives and protein-filled plants to keep up their stamina
  12. Solar Cherubs are prone to catch diseases or illnesses linked to lavish lifestyles (I.E. Gout)
  13. If they develop a mental illness, more likely to sweep it under the rug, keep up facade of glamour
  14. Those born under the sun favour illusions and light magics
  15. Solar cherubs are exceptional illusionists, spinning detailed lies to put a positive spin on an otherwise boring story (They worked together to mask their homestead as an elven city before some of their stones were discovered in Below)
  16. Solars have an aptitude for healing magics
  17. Leaders are four Solars and four Lunars that create a council. Otherwise referred to as the Tempest Court, the council makes all decisions for the entirety of Elysium. Council members are elected by the members of their alignment
  18. Being a Lunar Cherub or a Solar Cherub does not dictate what your child will end up being
  19. If the child is of the opposite alignment, they are placed with a foster family that shares their alignment (In the case that a parent protests against having their child taken away, the consequences are severe. Anyone who kicks up a fuss or refuses to give up a child of the opposite alignment: 1st offense, branded. 2nd offense, no longer allowed to imbue. 3rd offense, fined heavily and made infertile. 4th offense, jailed for life. Children are removed each time.)
  20. One is considered 'tainted' if dabble romantically with opposite alignment
  21. Openly admitting to being in a relationship with s.o. of diff alignment is actually illegal
  22. Finding out that a Lunar is involved with a Solar can result on being disowned by their families, and exile from Elysium. (Luckily, laws only pertain to those residing within Elysium, Below now offers refuge to those needing sanctuary)
  23. Solar Cherubs love to hold grand balls, still preferring the use of the rather dated 'dance card' system to say who they fancy
  24. Often games, drinks, live music and food around help keep people busy while they mingle and flirt
  25. Being rather social creatures, they thrive on cute, tongue-in-cheek, coy games to attract their potential lovers, drawing out the courting process for as long as possible before choosing their forever mates
  26. Ribbon Game: invitee blindfolded, others given three options; a kiss on mid brow (sensuality, a desire to be closer to the individual, though the invitee is not romantically inclined -- at least not yet); kiss on cheek (invitee just wishes to be friends, or is not interested romantically); and a kiss on mouth (deep longing there -- a want to share a deeper connection).   27. Solars value art, glamour, passion, health, exploration, and entertainment above all else (may be reason why Solars tend to have high output of dancers, musicians, adventurers, and healers)

  29. Solars are often found draped in finest of garments, made from lavish silks and velvet, surrounded in marble sculptures

  31. Cherubs are the builders of grand murals, meticulously working to uphold the beauty of their city (Littering, for this very reason, is also illegal and punishable by up to 10 years in prison)
  32. Solars worship the Nine, though they believe the Nine are all winged beings, possessing anywhere from four to twelve wings, depending on how powerful they are. It is because of their extreme devotion that the Solar believe they have been graced with advanced healing magics
  33. Solar Cherubs especially like the elves and their need to surround themselves with beautiful things
  34. Solar cherubs feels as though aiding the sluagh as extensively as in the past was a waste of valuable resources during the war (that being said, sluagh and solar cherub friendships are still cherished and encouraged)

Hum Notes
1. Alon drags him out to do things
2. Hum is embarrassed by his full name, as he was teased about it as a child
3. Hum would rather be in a pillow fort with his blanket and a gaming system
4. Hum lives with his twin, so whoever he dates will have to get the brother seal of approval or they’ll get kicked to the curb as soon as Alon can convince Hum
5. Alon and Hum pay for rent, classes and other things by modeling. (Alon drags Hum to this as well, usually by bribing Hum with the thought of new video games)
6. When Hum rolls himself into a blanket burrito to hide Alon will totally cart him around on his shoulder like a sack of potatoes. A beautiful sack of potatoes
