Isuel Sun - Dva from Overwatch - first floor She was late because getting into a bodysuit is hell. She didn't realize when she had ordered it that it would literally be so tight that she felt like raising her arms would make everything even tighter and squeak super loudly. In all honesty, Isuel's outfit wasn't leather or anything like that, at least most of it wasn't. It was just super form fitting and she wanted a skirt or something to put over her hips. Alas, alak, here she is. Arriving at the first floor. Her movements were hesitant, a little awkward, but she was moving froward all the same. Would she know anyone? Her English had improved, so she thought testing herself with a party would be a good way to see how much she had improved. But so far, she didn't recognize a single soul.

Kit Paine - Captain James Hook - Rooftop with Penelope
"Good answer - as I'm learning is to be expected from the likes of you." Kit began to wonder vaguely if the lady was simply indulging him by playing her costumed role or if she would have done so regardless. He was also curious as to how much was her role and how much was her as a person, but he supposed that wouldn't be very obvious unless he met her in a another setting. Would they even recognize each other, then, though?
He was sure it would have been presumptuous and of course out of character to expect her to give her his number, but he didn't think there was any rule against him giving her his. If she didn't feel like it, she didn't have to call him; no commitment and pressure at all. He just had to be tactful about it.
At her comment about children, the pirate captain sighed heavily. "Alas, it's true. If only they weren't so eager to cling to others to drag them down into the dark depths with them." His gaze skimmed her collarbones and the curls of pale hair that draped across them as he considered what a contrast he must have looked against her radiant, light form with his own dark locks and tan complexion.
He had to laugh at her mention of the possibility that she had multiple princes or perhaps a 'princess in another castle'. "Of course, of course. I'm sure an individual as charismatic and charming as yourself could attract any number of suitors you desired if you so chose. Is that your purpose attending this ball, then?" the pirate asked with a smirk.
"As an adventurer myself, again I think I might be able to empathize with you on that matter. It's difficult for me to commit or settle when there's an endless expanse of experiences and people to yet know."
Hearing her response in wanting to accompany him, he offered her his arm, beaming, and answered, "Very well, then. Would Your Highness prefer to visit the refreshments first and her acquaintances second, or in the opposite order?"Nuxaz ((Oh, did it? Interesting; I don't use tumblr so I didn't realize.))

Penelope Rey - Cinderella - Rooftop w/ Kit
"I'm not just a pretty face, Captain." Penelope mock scolded, clearly play and perhaps even fond. "What good is a princess who cannot think upon her feet or keep herself well-matched or out clever those that think she might not be fit for her throne?" Costume or not, Penelope was a queen in the making as far as she was concerned. Her surname meant King after all.
She liked that 'Hook' had approached her, even appeared to 'court' her as it were, he seemed sharp and was certainly willing to shower her with compliments and attention; things she enjoyed greatly. She, like he had, wondered if the easy, flirty chemistry was a result of constructed personas or were a true, natural thing. With Penelope, it was always so difficult to tell. She could manufacture chemistry with anyone, she prided herself on that.
"Perhaps," she teased, making a point to wrap fingers around his upper arm. He was going to escort her around anyway, what harm was there in a preemptive touch? "One need not be royalty to be a contender." She left the implications ambiguous, it was up to the pirate to infer what she might have meant. "Let's greet them first," she decided with a shift of her gaze over to where Delphine stood. "Something tells me an excuse for an exit might be warranted after."

Stroud Marinus - Jadis - First Floor "Excellent. When you can, have a drink with me, " Stroud lifted her wand and let the owner turn to the other requisite greetings and niceties. More motion was not troubled with other than to start for the way up, the help following her lead by social instruction and instinct. The sense of directed eyes was unmistakeable, and hazel slid the room- faces, costumes, decorations- marking out a David Bowie impersonator who's head followed her turning. Are you even old enough to know that movie? Though it's had runs for anniversary in art houses within the last month.
She lifted her empty hand out in invitation, but did not stop progress for the roof. The Goblin King could attend or not as he liked. Quenton Marinus - Presence Robot - Rooftop Have you spoken with them for the requisite two minutes, that now they are friends? Quenton crossed the roof, having been recognized and beckoned, rather than finding the bar and beverage to nurse first. There was something familiar about Lily, facial similarities like bloodlines. He knew the name, Lily, as applied to one person in the whole city- Sailor Maia's name was Lily. But it wasn't esoteric enough to risk bringing up. A city the size of Destiny city could have ten or more Lilies growing in it's gardens. Accalia was more rare, in fact a name he'd never heard of at all. The closest a brain-Boolean search brought up as he offered his hand to one and then the other to shake was from classes of archeology.Akale, akali, akalos" meaning "peaceful, still" in Greek? It could be from some other language entirely, ignoring Eurocentric bias.
"You each find the warmest heart and brightest sun at the party in Mr. Hargrove. Marinus, it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance. Are you, either, affiliated to the ballet or the Arts Foundations? They put on one of the most lively parties here, particularly the dance floor. "
"Did you do a group costume?" This last to Colin.
Itsa Sekret - TRex - Rooftop The crowd grew, especially that more people surrounded the swing- a favorite and fun device. The dinosaur plodded further from the heat and nearer a decorative deck-plant. Morgan Keaton - Jaws - First Floor Morgan paused, thumb extended and stiff away from phone screen scrolling the camera options, and looked over at the speaker. Grin became wider in reply as it went, flashing a wide, white smile, "You.....never been to the ocean or marina or movie? Imma Carcharodon megalodon, the Big J, Toothy Mctootherson. Shark. Swimmin' the sea of people. "
"An' you? Lotsa leather," but not enough buckles and straps to make it the kinky kind. "Cool an' expensive just the same. But not something universal as the Sea- ya got me on what you're hoping people will see. Are you R.R. Maritning it with that? or some other binge-able?"

Accalia Cordova - costume- Rooftop She gave the girl dressed as an angel a warm smile. "Of course you can join us." She said brightly towards her as she took a seat. She turned her attention back towards Colin as he spoke. Truer words couldn't have been spoken just then. "Then I am free for interpretation." She said motioning towards herself with a wide grin. She took another sip of her drink and looked towards the dance floor. She of course wouldn't mind dancing with the other girl if she took her up on the offer. Her gaze shifted towards Quenton, whoever that might be, as Colin called out towards someone. There were so many faces it was hard for her to pick out who it might be, but it seemed as though she wouldn't have to guess for too long. "You must be Quenton, It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance." Her voice was light with laughter. "I just heard there was a party and free booze. Though I HAVE heard of the ballet and the Foundation. I'm a huge fan of both, though I'm not affiliated to either." She said in all honesty. Finding she was running low on her drink she stood up and tipped her head to the little crowd. "It seems my drink is running low so I'm going to go refill and mingle a bit. It was a pleasure." She turned and headed inside to refill her drink. StarshineAngel01 Since she spoke to her before she left

Dorian Paul - magic mirror - Rooftop Cinderella and Captain Hook. Captain America and a Butterfly. Jyn Erso and a Tyrannosaurus Rex. Other costumes from lore and places unfamiliar to Dorian, who mulled over the snack bar with his thighs on mind. To cupcake or not to cupcake? He started to reach for one. Hesitated. And then went for it, fingers curling delicately around the themed paper at the base of the treat. So much sugar. Dorian peeled the paper away, and took a bite from the side; disturbing the face of the ghost on top, cutting the ‘O’ of its little black mouth in half. It was decadent chocolate, oozing with pudding. Dorian smiled and then reached for another cupcake with his free hand. This time he caught some icing with his fingers. The pang of guilt he felt had the same affect as the visits that Dorian paid to Pasi’s apartment. His appetite for indulgence was high; sharpened on the whetstone of a particular debauchery. He was going to have as many cupcakes as he pleased, and not think about Jeremy at all. Even though Jeremy was already talking about getting a puppy with his girlfriend. It was a big commitment. Dorian wasn’t sure that they were ready for that. But it was none of his business, and he wasn’t thinking about Jeremy at all. At all. All the time. He turned on the spot. Bumped into Jyn Erso, and apologised at once. Checked his cupcakes to make sure that he had not covered her in icing, concerned both that he had ruined her costumes, and that he would be stuck with only the cake part. a-disgruntled-dragon awkward introverts are awkward

Alex Gramme - Jyn Erso - Rooftop
It took her awhile to notice the cupcake table in her desire to become one with the wall. How could she have missed cupcakes? Cupcakes were a wonderful, magical one handed treat of sugary magic that made everything at least ten times better than it already was. But cupcake table meant the chance for socialization and the awkwardness that came from it.
But cupcakes.
Cupcakes.
Desire for sugar winning out, Alex made her way to the table. Someone in a giant.... mirror costume(?) manuveured to the table first, and then spun really quickly for someone in that costume, whacking her with the frame.
"WAH."
No cupcake tarnished her costume, though she rubbed her face were the frame attacked her. Alex blinked at him a few times, before speaking.
"That's... a really awkward costume. How do you fit through doors?" No excuse you, no hi my name is. Just a statement of fact about the costume.
Oo cupcake.
Alex shimmied around him to grab a cupcake, licking the frosting off.

Colin Hargrove - Captain America - RooftopThat people would come and go from around him - or that he would join in the ebb and flow of bodies in various location - was just part of attending such an event; Colin was well versed in greetings (and good byes) and handed both out as necessary. He was about to re-engage Lily and Quenton to discuss some of the more fantastical costumes (there was someone in a freaking T-Rex costume, for heaven's sake!) when a loud, familiar voice cut through. "Elzo Xanis, everyone." The curly-haired Captain America's mouth formed a smile as he introduced the white-haired man to his friends. The comment about good things to suck, paired with the wink, sent his eyebrows up into his curls and a laugh from his lips. A glance given to Quenton, volumes spoken in eyebrow and jaw set, then gloved hands reaching to pull the lanky pastel coloured Marinii into Colin's lap with a familiarity that spoke of long hours spent in the other's company. "Elzo, this is Quenton and Lily. You just missed Accacia and Auguste, sadly." He did not make the obvious joke, though his eyes sparkled with mirth. "There are hard candies at the snack table, or alcohol. I wholly recommend seeing if one of the M&Ms in tutus will uh, help you more." Because Elzo had a bit of a reputation amongst those that worked at the DCBC - he was a bit of a playboy, and no doubt there were folks around that would indulge him. Having said that, Colin put his face against Quenton's neck and chuckled. "I want a snapshot of this for instagram." Ian St.George - Jareth the Goblin King - Attending StroudAn arch of brow in his direction, a hand lifted in offering, and the Jadis continued onward and upward; Ian fell into step, taking her hand gracefully as he accompanied the sweep of hair and gown into the elevator. She had an air of the familiar, beyond simply being a face at DCBC he'd have seen previously, but Ian put it from his mind in favor of enjoying the party. "Quite the figure you cut, Queen Jadis." Fitting choice of costume, as I recall she's quite the patron here...naturally she will know my cousin. Perhaps he's one of her favorites.

Lily Jacobs - Princess Kraehe - Rooftop People came and went around Colin and it was quite amusing to see. She grinned at Colin when he spoke about the DJ, "I will certainly be headed down at some point, right now I'm a bit entranced by all the lovely costumes." She was comfortable to sit and chat as the air warmed up. A butterfly flittered by briefly and she thought his costume was really nice. The angel had asked to join them, but Lily guess it was too cold out for her as she went back in shortly after. Her attention turned to Colin as he called over a friend, tall and blonde in a very unique costume. "Hello, nice to meet you Quenton. I dance, have dance ballet most of my life, but otherwise no affiliations." She'd of course considered it, but time constraints were a worrisome thing. She also wasn't sure how they would feel about the golden streaks in the front of her red hair or the very large tattoo on her shoulder. It cover the nasty scar she received when Wolframite bit her, coming away for her flesh still in his mouth. "Your costume is quite interesting, is it from something in particular," she asked Quenton with a smile, dual colored eyes bright and curious. Her eyes moved to Accalia as she decided to head off and mingle, "I will have to catch you on the dance floor," she said with a wave to the other. Her own drink was mostly untouched and she sipped it again. Elzo walked up, she didn't recognize him as first until Colin introduced them. She was surprised at the head of white hair and wondered if he had dyed it. She knew he was back about, had heard, but hadnt actual seen him since the buttwings cupcake, when he'd gotten her to hit him with her eternal attack. They been powered up then, it'd been even longer since she'd seen his civilian side. "Hello Elzo," she said before sipping her drink again.

Stroud Marinus - Jadis - First Floor to roof!
“It is not snowflakes, but goblins that hem us round, Jareth, so this night seems yours.” Makeup changed the planes of light and faces by design, but there were pieces of this man’s structure that spoke to others she had known. Perhaps a relative of one of the dancers? Or one of the corps himself? His voice was not one that rang a bell, and they were slightly more reliable on an night of ghoulish capering. “Have you found Sarah, or any of the others, or brought them with you to this castle? The Labyrinth is as much bodies as brickwork. The roof has open air. Open one of these bottles with me, I insist-”
“You must show me one of your magic dances. It is a ballet, after all.”
Quenton Marinus - Presence Robot - Rooftop
“Charmed.” Lily was plainly likewise, having found some respite in the distraction of taking a drink.
Thank goodness Colin read his look perfectly. There was a specific brand of entitled crass that came with some patrons who frequented rooftop parties. The classless class and entitlement to others time and bodies, whether their sex or simply their ears, for assault with the terminal decline of reason. The loud entendre spoke to, hopefully, too much already imbibed. Colin a saint of social grace, how can he manage a laugh? It is a wonder. But that one need come no closer and have no excuse or invitation.
“Good show. I’ve never known anyone managed to dress as Banality before.”
“There’s only one bar on the rooftop, I’m sure you can follow your nose, Xanis.” Spoken with practiced, robotic frankness. Then to Captain America with the phone, putting an arm in obvious companionship around the solid, dancer’s shoulders, “The costumes, your occupied lap, the party? I expect this will not be a single-Instagram night for you. All the more if you find a Winter Soldier in the crowd. “

Delphine Rousseau - Daenyres Targaryen - Rooftop It was likely fortunate that their little conversation, however civil it was at the moment, was interrupted. They could pretend they liked each other just fine(and honestly, Delphine didn't completely dislike him), but the game would have grown rather tiresome. Auguste's appearance came with convenient timing. "Auguste, a pleasure to see you again." She stepped away from her costume counterpart, taking the smaller man's hand in her own. "Is it just me, or have your visits with us lessened over time? I hope it's not on account of poor treatment." There were a few within the company that weren't exactly...friendly. leaning in, she lay a kiss on either pale cheek. "You look lovely. Those colors do you a great justice." The compliment came with a warm smile, and she'd give his hand a gentle squeeze before releasing them. Ah, but then her eye caught another lovely blonde. Two, in fact. Dark eyes flicked towards the elevator as the silvered doors slid open, and the sight that greeted her within was enough to pull her attention completely. "Oh." Stroud looked a dream in the attire of the winter queen. Fitting, and the tall woman carried herself as a royal so comfortably. "Pardon me for a moment," she smiled an apology at Auguste, brushing fingertips over his arm as she headed towards Stroud and the tall figure accompanying her. And stopped quite suddenly as she recognized the goblin king at her side to be Ian. Staring, wide eyed, she no doubt looked very startled in that moment. What was even happening right now?

Lazarus Klein -- Khal Drogo -- Rooftop Lazarus was relieved to see Delphine go -- this party was getting far too crowded with far too many people he knew and didn't like. The fact that she was running off to mommy like a lovesick puppy was tiresome and unsurprising, but mostly only a negative insofar as it had to do with Stroud being here whatsoever. He'd known it was a possibility. Stroud was active in the arts scene in Destiny City. It just wasn't preferable. He'd leave them both be for now. Being abandoned to a conversation with this tiny butterfly, while awkward and somewhat interfering with Lazarus's goals of getting as drunk as possible as quickly as possible, was still preferable to a continued chat with Delphine or any kind of chat with Stroud or one of her flunkies. Accordingly, Lazarus smiled his very best and said to Auguste, with a friendly head tilt, "Can I grab you something to drink?"

Orah Gowan - Wonder Woman - RooftopWith no one she knew well enough to greet on the first floor, Orah quietly slipped away to find the elevators and make her way to the roof. By the time she made it all the way up, she was breathing quickly, and had come through the stairway rather than the much easier, and quicker, elevators. She'd had a moment, when the door opened and she realized she'd have to ride in that small, enclosed space all the way up... in the end, despite being winded and a bit tired when she finally made it, the stairs had seemed like the far better option. At least they had doors every few floors, and no obstruction up or down.
When she finally emerged into the open air, she paused to lean against the wall and just breath deeply, her palms pressed to her stomach. The cool air and the soft, occasional puff of breeze was wonderful and soothing, mixed with the music and chatter of happy people. I'm fine. Everything is fine. I'm here to have fun, remember?
Dark eyes opened to finally scan the crowd and the sight of so many happy faces went a good ways towards banishing the last of her unease. She even saw some familiar face, which was exciting, and Orah finally pushed herself away from the wall to head towards the knot of people around a curly haired blonde.
Colin, and Lily. Someone she didn't recognize at first... Quenton?

Ian St.George - Jareth the Goblin King - Attending Stroud on the Rooftop"Too true, unfortuantely none of my minions are in attendance that I see-" He did so hope there would be none dressed as Sarah, wanting to paw or pose for photographs he would pretend to graciously indulge in while cursing their faces into the following holiday. Colin, not he, enjoyed that sort of attention. "I have seen some that could be of use in the Labyrinth, and the night is young yet. So, my dear Jadis, we shall see." The offer of drink was accepted with actual pleasure, her request to see him dance less so. "Sadly, it is my cousin Colin that has the talent for such things, though I would have little trouble leading you through a waltz or two." Upon the rooftop, Delphine came over, dressed in a costume he did not recognise though it suited her splendidly - was she approaching for him or Jadis? It seemed not for him, as Delphine seemed a bit shocked that he was in attendance. Smiling with just enough warmth to seem pleased and welcoming, Ian gave the delicate ballerina a courtly bow, "Delphine. How delightful to see you. You look exquisite." Colin Hargrove - Captain America - Rooftop"I can't say I blame you, Lily. People get so creative for Halloween, I love it." Quenton in his lap was heavy but welcome on several levels and his smile, never far in good company, was bright and happy even after the sharp, robotic words. "All of the above, you know me well." He caught his photograph and set to posting it with one hand, the other around his friend's waist. "That would be fantastic, really. I'd sit in their lap for a picture." Supposing, of course, that their was a Soldier in attendance and that they were willing to have him in their lap; Colin had at least learned how to exercise some restraint with other people's personal space. Until they entered 'friend' territory. Colin smiled over at Lily, "You're next. If you don't mind. Your costume is beautiful and I want a snap." He had also spotted Lazarus dressed as - Khal something or other, honestly he didn't follow Game of Thrones but he'd seen enough from his fellow danseurs to sort of recognize the characters - and several other folks he didn't know but wanted to get shots for instagram of. And there was that person in the T-Rex costume...lurking. He had to get a picture before the night ended! Looking around to admire all the fantastic costumes, Colin spotted a newcomer that he recognized coming to see him. "Orah!" He would have gotten up to greet her, but he wasn't going to push his friend out of his lap, even for another friend. Instead he gave her a brilliant smile and an enthusiastic wave of his phone. "You look amazing, I'm so happy you came." Wonder woman seemed fitting for Orah, even with the shorter hair. shazari don't think sunshine has missed seeing Laz, there is no escaping his brightness
