Necessary (IC) Knowledge:
+ Begins on Friday (10.28.2016) at 6pm - slated to close at 2am Sat (10.29.2016)
+ 18+ ONLY Sorry guys ;w;
+ This event is being held at the DCBC studio, not the attached Theatre, the first floor is mostly cordoned off with a space for folks to check their coat(s)/wrap(s) with some of the DCBC staff.
+ Upon entrance, ID must be presented to gain a wristband that will allow one to imbibe in available alcoholic drinks.
+ An elevator will take groups of people up to the top floor, where the party is being held in several of the spacious practice rooms(the rest are locked) and the rooftop access is open, as it is the main focus of the party.
+ Costumes are encouraged but not required, and everyone in costume gets (2) free drinks!
+ Free snacks/candies and water is available to everyone in one of the rooms on the top floor.
+ Smiling staffers/volunteers dressed like Ballet M&Ms will be around to assist attendees.
+ ONLY the top floor and first floor are open to the public - all other areas are locked down and unaccessable without key(s).
+ Some pretty basic games will be available - pin the face on the pumpkin, guess the # of candycorn in the jar, bobbing for apples, etc. But mostly it's just drinking, dancing, and socializing.


What this means OOCly:
+ Starts...now? And goes until it goes, lol.
+ All are welcome, but please no powered characters, this is a civilian only event!
+ This is just meant to be a fun party thing where your character(s) can dress up and enjoy an evening of music, dance, etc in a safe environment!
+ As there will be alcohol, the event does require ID to drink!
+ If you need an NPC, please quote me (syrie) :3
+ Drinks (soda, etc) cost $$$ Icly, but OOCly it's not something to worry about xD - water is free, as are the snacks!
+ The interior (and rooftop) are decorated in a festive and appropriate manner, though the interior room where food/drinks are mainly available have the flooring covered >_>;
+ Decorations
+ROOFTOP: Has two large couches and a swing that can fold out into a fullsized bed. There is a coffee table between the couches and a few smaller tables and chairs have been set up for folks. There are also 4 outdoor heating units that will keep the area comfortable even late into the night.
+ There is no formal posting format, but it's suggested to use the following format at the top of your post(s) as a courtesy to other players.

Colin Hargrove - Captain America - Rooftop

The invitations had been sent out, ages in advance. Of course, it was an open event held by the ballet, so it wasn't like Colin was having a party on his own that needed invites, but he'd sent them out to all his friends anyway so that they would come and have some fun with him.

Naturally, since it was hosted by the ballet, Colin had volunteered to help set up (so he could just have fun during) which meant that he was all alone (save for staff) and sitting pretty in the favored rooftop swing in his Captain America costume with a drink and waiting for other people to arrive.

He sent out one last quick text to some of his friends to encourage them to "move their asses" and "get over here quick!" before tucking his phone into his costume and humming happily to himself. Tonight was going to be fun!

Accalia Cordova - costume- Rooftop (the roof the roof, the roof is on fire)

Of course she was going to dress up. Free drinks was after-all, free drinks. So if she could get away with not having to pay for anything yet, she was going to capitalize. Ordering a White Russian she lifted a gloved hand and cupped her chin lightly as she waited for it to arrive. Looking around she took a moment to take in the sights of the nicely decorated area. As her drink arrived she took it and turned to face the open area around her and took a small sip and then made her way towards the rooftop. She spotted Colin and Lily and raised her glass towards them in greeting. "Now this is what I call a party." She said with coy smile as she looked between the two of them and admired their costumes. "Nice costume you have there Capt." She said with a wink and gave a slight tilt of her head. "I'm not sure who you are?" She wasn't familiar with the costume. She wasn't really dressed up as anything herself so she wasn't going to take it to heart if no one knew what she was since she wasn't really anything at all.

Florianne Mitchell - Angel - Rooftop

Florianne approached the entrance to the roof top, she looked around and took a breath in from the fresh air. At least fresh air was good for everyone, the slightly cold air sent a slight shiver down her spine. She looked around for a vacant spot and ventured over to a bench sitting down, the warmth of the heaters. She leaned back onto her hands looking up at the night sky quietly, at least it wasn't too cold yet, but she was pretty sure it would get colder.

She shifted her gaze downwards and looked around to see if she recognized anyone. At the moment it didn't seem like there was anyone here she knew. She let out a soft sigh, she needed to get out more and make some friends. She was frankly a little disappointed in herself, she would have at least a handful of friends at this moment in time, but it didn't seem to be the case. Hopefully she would be able to fix that tonight.

Accalia Cordova - costume- Rooftop (the roof the roof, the roof is on fire)

Accepting his gesture to sit down she took a seat upon the couch and gave them both an inviting smile. "It's a pleasure to meet you Colin....., Lily. I'm Accalia." She introduced herself to the two of them as she took another sip of her drink before stirring it with the small straw it came with. "That's a really nice idea. I wish I would have been that creative." She said looking down at what she had thrown together. "I'm not really much of anything." She said with a light laugh. "I do thank you for the compliment, as it seems you are right. We do sort of match." She allowed herself to sink back into the couch for a moment and let out a soft sigh. It was nice to sit back and relax. "Why not go out there now? I'll join you if you don't want to dance alone." She suggested.

Lazarus Klein - Khal Drogo - Rooftop

There were not many things that could compel Lazarus Klein to socialize with his coworkers after hours. Normally, by the end of the day, he was exhausted from wearing his genial workplace smile and putting on his friendliest bullshit face, and was ready to get away. Nothing could motivate him to spend additional time here. Certainly nothing could motivate him to put on a costume and while away the time making chit-chat with people whose problems he spent all day listening to.

Nothing . . . except free booze.

Free booze was a powerful motivator.

Accordingly, DCBC's resident massage therapist was currently on the rooftop, dressed in a tattered costume from the mid-torso down and decorated in blue woad-style body paint across the chest and shoulders. The costume had proven to be a good excuse not to shave for a few days, and Lazarus had pulled his long hair back into a beaded ponytail. Laz had never actually watched Game of Thrones -- but he was pretty sure he got the gist of it based on how much some of his coworkers had liked to gossip about it.

It had taken a bit of carefully cheerful weaving through short hellos to coworkers before he'd managed to gain the far side of the rooftop where the bar was located; finally, though, he'd achieved his temporary goal: acquiring a glass of wine and making his way over to loiter near the snacks table.

Glen Michaels - Chat Noir - Rooftop

Penelope Rey - Cinderella - rooftop

Penelope had opted for a more classic look from one of her favorite adaptations of Cinderella, A Cinderella Story. She'd heard about the ball mostly through word of mouth, she had school mates that raved about the DCBC, and she figured that there would be enough people around that she could acquaint herself with and possibly even find new people to toy with.

Her hair was in a half-updo, blonde curls settling against her neck and there was a small tiara settled just atop her pomp. As far as she was concerned, she was likely to be one of the more stunning guests. Though, there was a nicely fitted mask across her face, because why not add a little bit of mystery to her?
