Beyond the room was another hallway, the wall hung painting, more doors and windows. "aww, man. So many doors," William sighed. He didn't want to go around checking door to door. Each time he would be on his guard for surprise. The prank did get less and less the more he proceeded, replaced by battle. He had to resign himself to inspect the room, rather than thorough check, it's more he opened the door, see how it looked and left for another room. " does it feels like we are being watched?" William commented in the hallway. The paintings gave the place eerie vibes and he thought they might move.
" I never thought I could wish for a ghost to appear . . . " William said as he opened another door. He was tired of this repetitive chore. This time, he was careless, he stepped into the room while leaving his pokemon behind, Mur and Amber. Jasper was sticking close to him fortunately. The door closed with a loud slam. Ominous laugh filled the room, signaling entrance of his next opponent. A creepy living doll. William felt chill that he tried to calm down by scanning the ghost. "Banette, marionate pokemon. Banette generates energy for laying strong curses by sticking pins into its own body. This Pokémon was originally a pitiful plush doll that was thrown away," the pokedex dutifully informed him, the mechanical voice unaffected by emotion.

William thought the ghost must have been looking for chance to trap him. It's why it took quite long for him to encounter the banette.

╔═══════════════════════════════════════════════╗ Sonoko had been caught off guard by the duo of ghost pokemon. She knew from personal experience how bothersome a Ghastly could be. It wasn't a far stretch to replace the Ghastly with any other ghost type. In fact Ghastly mostly just wanted to prank peoplebut many other ghost types wanted to do some real damage. Litwick was apparently one such pokemon according to the Dex entry. None the less she couldn't help but feel bad for the little thing when it was beaten. She didn't feel no where as bad about for the jellicent or the Cofagrius though. They sort of had it coming. As the Jellicent attacked William Sonoko instinctively made to run to his aid but stopped. Forcing herself to hold her ground. bitting her lip she kne she had little choice. If William was to be a trainer he had to learn to fend for himself at some point. He wasn't always going to have someone to protect and save him. Sure enough though his own pokemon did the job saving him. Had he gone past what she considered a safe threshold for danger she would have stepped in.
Catching back up to him once he was safe and sound she kept up with him giving a soft humbled smiles. "You ok ? That got a little hair back there." She asked once she thought that had a moment o rest.

There was nothing of importance happening in the corridor. Nothing at all, aside from triggering traps and creeper he couldn't see. The next area after he exited the corridor was a wide space. He could see pillar lined what appeared to be hall. It was so wide his flashlight was unable to show the end of the hall. William wasn't sure where he should walk or whether it was safe or not. rather, it should be safe to assume it won't be safe. Shadow danced when the group proceeded. it gave impression the shadow was alive.
A shiver ran down his spine. " don't you think it's colder here? " William remarked to get his mind away from thinking of anything fearful. His voice was hushed, it showed that he was wary. Even his pokemon were caught in mood of the haunted house. Silence and heavy atmosphere weren't helping William at all. When Snow broke the silence with her question, it made William went stiff, he stopped walking for a moment. "no no no, I am fine. Perfectly fine," he said repeatedly in a monotone, trying to convince himself more than answering. "anything can jump out from anywhere . . . " he muttered as he gazed into the darkness and resumed walking. " I wish there's a way to rat the ghost out," he said to himself as the suspense was getting on him. "maybe . . . maybe if they got attacked, it would work. Wide area attack," he kept on muttering to himself. Ghost was too intangible to get proper aim though, they could pass through wall or floor, so it won't do well, William re-thought his idea. "What do you think, Snow?" he asked.

Other wise she stayed off the front lines and away from combat of any sort. Her set of skills wasn't suited for battles anyway so attempting to help would probably only cause more trouble then it was worth. She could if she had to, Hawlucha wasn't weak by any means so she suspected he could take on the ghosts if the situation called for it. It was just nice to see him, nervous or not, growing beyond his otherwise limited view of the world though. Snow wouldn't call William spoiled by any means. She had never known him to act like a spoiled brat even if he was rich kid. He was however a little more timid then expected. Though it wasn't that much different back in school. He had always been a littler skittish. She was actually shocked he wasn't curled in the filet position some times. He had grown a lot sense last she had seen him. "Yeah maybe a little." She didn't want to make him worry but she could see her own breath so it was getting a lot colder. She gave thought to his mumbled comment about baiting the ghosts out. It might work but she honestly didn't know. She didn't own any ghost types save Inkey who she knew next tonnothing about and the few she had encountered as a child had all been Ghastly. "Maybe but iv never fought ghost types i wouldn't have any idea how to combat them. All i know is normal and fighting types can't hurt them. Though Ohmarow did give me a Miltank with Scrappy. He said it could fight them even with normal types moves but iv never tried."
Just then Sonoko caught sight of a small black figure moving just inside her peripheral vision. the movement was enough to make her go silent and look towards where she had seen it. Nothing was there. She reached out and grabbed Williams shoulder while specking so she wouldn't scare him "Hay, somethings over the-" Suddenly she was thrown off her feet and back across the room slumping to the floor. She held her side where the bruise still sat healing slowly. A line of blood ran from her noes but was other wise alright. Off in the darkness lurked a Ganger powering a second shadowball and behind it was another smaller canine pokemon laid unconscious on the ground. "William !" she screeched pointing to the smaller pokemon so he knew to be careful not to hurt it in the battle to come

" A dark type works wonder against ghost, I heard. I don't have any though. They are known to be aggressive, so for beginner trainer, it can get dangerous," William said, it's why he preferred the milder psychic type. They have obvious weakness to ghost though and his only psychic was untrained for this. William was deep in thought of how he could lure the ghost out aside from being a bait, since that didn't appeal to him. His mind was preoccupied, hence, he didn't notice the black figure.
William was started to answer, "what -?" yet it was cut off by immediate danger. "SNOW!!" he shouted as Snow was thrown back. What hit her was unseen, still, he ran to help her. William was horrified that a ghost would assault Snow whom was not part of the challenge. It was his fault that he asked her to come with him, wasn't it? His mind was in jumble as he thought of many things. Mid-way, he remembered there's ghost among them. "Amber, jasper! Distract it. Mur, help them out!" it was simple command. He had no choice but to trust his pokemon like he had depended on them since he started his journey. "Snow, are you okay?" he inquired as he approached her. When he saw blood running down, he was panicking while saying " Blood, you are bleeding," he pointed out obviously. His hand immediately rummaged his bag for first aid kit. He hadn't had chance to use it, so it got buried pretty deep in his backpack. He stopped rummaging to look where Snow was pointing and nodded his affirmative, before adding spoken word, "got it." There's a silhouette of a pokemon near the battle that was unfolding. Amber was chasing the ghost with thundershock, warding the ghost to dodge away, with Jasper's support and Mur concentrating on picking the ghost's presence with his psychic ability. Amber appeared to be find handling the ghost, so he called out to Jasper. "Jasper, can you you bring the pokemon here?" William said while pointing where it laid.
William was growing worried to not instruct his pokemon. Look at that fallen pokemon, it showed his opponent won't hesitate to deal real injury. He didn't want to fight ghost and he feared what the ghost would to to him and his pokemon. Still, if he didn't who would? He's the trainer, this is his challenge. he brought this fight and so, he would be the one to deal with it. "I am going to check up on Amber," William said as he handed Snow bandages and cotton. It was easy to find Amber when there's sparks of electricity where she was. He could see that Amber had managed to hit the ghost with a coupled of thundershock, but the gengar was dodging using the darkness. It seemed to like to toy with its opponent as he saw it tormenting Amber with words or snickers without attacking. Amber wasn't looking good, so he immediately used the oran berry. "Amber, eat it," William approached Amber as he dared to and throw the berry to the pikachu. It hurriedly ate the berry before the ghost can take it from her. The effect was immediate, but soon she was flung backward by psychic energy. "Amber!" William called her name as he witnessed the strength of the gengar. "Pika pika chuuu," Amber shakily stood back up, encouraged by William watching over her battle. She observed gengar waved through the darkness and shot her thundershock once she had pin-pointed its location.
Meanwhile, Jasper had used his vine to bring the fallen pokemon to Snow's side as William had told. "Bulba~" Jasper cried out to get Snow's attention. He then laid the zorua near her, before dashing off to help his trainer. It appeared that the battle hadn't ended with just gengar, more ghost lurked in the darkness.

William used his potion to heal Amber, although she was healed, her fatigue remained, so he returned her into her pokeball to rest. Mur and Jasper had returned to his side with alarmed cried. "What's wrong?" William questioned them since they had already beaten the gengar. "Bulbasaur saur!!" Jasper had seen not one, but two ghost when he helped distracting the ghost. William was puzzled when Jasper whipped his vine into a shadowy figure. He watched in horror. It was too soon to get into another battle, both his pokemon was tired after chasing gengar. His opponent showed itself as a duskull who sprayed purple substance toward them. Jasper took the attack to shield him, the poison did nothing to Jasper. "Bulba," angered, Jasper used his vine to attack again. It hit, yet not enough to bring the ghost down. Glowing orb was duskull's response. it made Jasper dizzy and William couldn't do anything to help him. Jasper attacked himself and the duskull fired off hex to finish the deed. It's over, he lost. William quickly returned Jasper before more damage could be done.
Fortunately, the duskull didn't do anything anymore. it faded away. The oppressing pressure within the hall was lifted and the creepy lady (channeler) that kidnapped him appeared out of nowhere. "You failed the challenge . . . " she informed him and her hand was about to grab him. William inched away from her, "Wait, my friend's still here," William told her. He dashed away to Snow's side to see how's she's faring with Mur clinging on his backpack like usual.

The sound didn't stop and when Teddy opened his eyes, he found himself slumped outside the Pokemon Centre in Lavender Town. The town was still covered in a thick fog, Teddy looked around to see whether or not the haunted house was still where it had been before. It was not. He stood off and brushed what he believed was dust from his pyjamas. Was it dust? Who knew? He wandered around the town, progressively trying to make his way towards the tower at the back of the town.
That was when it appeared again, the house. It's twisted trees but now with an additional pond, where all of the water was floating in the air, not held by the laws of gravity. Teddy opened the creaking metal gate and wandered up the path, of which each cobble fell into the white abyss below his feet. By the time he got to the porch, his way out was gone. Teddy knocked on the door and waited. He was once more answered by a frail arm who handed Teddy a small box of incense."The owls know more than they let on~" it wheezed. Teddy took the incense and opened it. Within lay an image of himself, surrounded by his Pokemon asleep. A Burmy hovering over his head.

Matt staggered backwards after the man slammed the door in his face, rubbing his nose with one hand and holding his strange gift in the other. A Ground one too... TM26?" He said, reading the number on the back of it. He wasn't sure which TM it was, but he put it in his pocket anyway. He then decided to try another house. He approached another house and knocked on the door. This time, he immediately heard footsteps approaching the door. Out of instinct he took a step back. This time an older woman approached the door, excited but surprised. "Oh my, what a cute costume!" She remarked, an urge to squeeze his cheek radiating from her. "Oh dear, is it that time of the year already? I don't have any goodies yet... Wait, here!" She said, reaching back into her house and dropping a strange incense into his hand. "Have a good day, sweetie~" She sang as she closed the door. Matt stood there for a moment, staring at the strange item she had just given him. "This town is weird..." He said outloud. He put the item in his pocket and suddenly felt very tired, as if this background music of this town was lulling him back to sleep.

"I wanted to ask you somethi-." He started after a moment, but as the peephole slid open again he stopped. "I already gave you a treat, get out of here!"The man behind the door shouted before he slammed it shut once more.
Hayes didn't try and knock on the door again, or try and talk to whoever it was inside the house, as they didn't seem all that interested in helping... and it wasn't like it was the only place around; the town was littered with houses, even if they all looked a bit run-down. He stuffed the disc in one of his pockets as he turned around, deciding he'd try another home as one seemed to be nearby. As he walked out of the man's front yard, he couldn't help but feel like the song he'd had stuck in his head had gotten a bit quieter. It only took a minute before he was at another person's home and hoping they'd be more inclined to answer a question or two, but before he could knock on the door a bowl on a small table to the side of it caught his attention.

It read on a little card that had been folded in two and made to stay up on its own, and below that it had 'honor system' scrawled in barely legible hand-writing. Hayes leaned over and looked at the contents of the bowl, finding it full of wrapped goodies; chocolates, it seemed. Is there something going on, or... He started to wonder, remembering how the man had called the disc he'd thrown at him a 'treat' after he'd tried to talk to him again. "Doesn't matter, I suppose." He decided after a moment, taking a step over to the table and reaching inside the bowl that rested on it, taking out three of the wrapped-up chocolates and inspecting them. It wasn't like it would hurt for him to get something out of this experience, he thought, but as soon as he'd picked them up it was like the music he'd been hearing had gotten louder... and as it did, he grew more and more tired...

Pushing herself back up pinching the bridge of her noes until William came to her rescue. William had things under control it seemed but she questioned if she should withdrew her stronger pokemon to prevent something like this happening again. She let the idea go. It seemed like just as bad an idea because from what she understood of the ghosts they match their pokemons levels some how. If she withdrew someone like her Ninetails no other pokemon under her belt could stop it then and she doubted that william had an ace in the hole to prevent something like that from occurring.
Once he had retrieved his first aid kit she gratefully toke the cotton. The bleeding wasn't bad but regardless it made her light headed. "Thanks." She said with her head leaned back to prevent any blood from dripping onto her cloths. The Kimono she had on was a loaner from Kotensa's mother she couldn't ruin it. Stuffing the cotton up each nostril and getting back to her feet she watched some what helpless of the situation. "No im fine. Iv had worst from humans." She reassured him with a smile clapping his shoulder once she had fully regained herself composer.
She didn't prevent the boy from leaving herself to aid his pokemon. She had momentarily forgotten about the fallen pokemon until the Bulbasaur brought to to her side. Picking the tiny canine up from the vines and cradling it to her chest. She didn't recognize it but itw as certainly pretty looking. "Go help your trainer Bulbasaur." She said having not made a point to remember its nickname. "He'll need you more then i will." Luponny had stepped up behind Sonoko giving a quick node that she had things under control here. Clefairy wasn't far behind with her hovering orbs of colored light.
Sonoko then set the tiny pokemon down in front of her to examine it. It wasn't breathing. Oh no she thought pulling it into a position she could work from. Ignoring the chaos around her she gave it CPR. Pressing onto its chest and forcing air down its mouth intrepidly until she got a gasping little yelp and a twitching body as her reward. It had worked. A boiling anger was just under the surface at how cruel the ganger had been but she didn't let it bother her as she pulling the tiny thing back up off its back and setting it onto its feet but holding it up on unsteady legs. Squeezing its sides to help maintain a rhythm until it was able to breath on its own. "Thats was a close one." Pulling it up to her chest as she worked to retrieve a blanket from her bag which she then used to wrap it up in to help keep it work.
She looked back up to find William and a different old women standing not to far off. He looked worried. Scared even. The tiny canine ruffled its way out of of the blankets to look about sneezing and looking utterly disoriented and lost. From behind Sonoko came another voice. This one Sonoko recognizes as the old lady who had brought her here to begin with. "Ahhh see i said you'd be helping the pokemon." Came the old hag setting a hand on sonoko's shoulders.

William gazed found a bundle of blanket with an unknown pokemon. He didn't get a good look at it previously due to the chaos and his mind was preoccupied with dealing the situation. Now that he did saw the pokemon clearly, it appeared to be doing better than when they found it. He was itching to use his pokedex to check what pokemon it was and decided against. He wanted to speak with Snow more than scanning pokemon. "umm . . . Snow" he began, unsure how he should word his word. Saying that he was leaving sounded rude, he should explain why first. " I was informed I failed the challenge, so, uhh, the cre-, ah, Lady over there told me I am getting out of the place," that was much nicer way to say it. He was unsure whether he should take the jar that Snow offered him, inside, he could see what he thought to be berries if those were not fruit. His battle earlier told him that he was unprepared, mere potion won't be as effective. Healing item like oran berry that Snow had given him was the least he needed to bring. Brushing her paws, Kezia turned back to face Ko with a wide grin. Fone, who'd been forced to step back prematurely so Kezia could deal with the ghosts nodded a thanks to the vixen. "Thanks, Kezia." Ko smiled, joining both of her Pokemon for a quick healing session. Able to use more then three normal potions the group was healed up fully within no time at all. 'No problem. That last one was pretty tough.' She replied, showing a sparing bit of modesty. Being a Pokemon of the Dark variety ghost-type moves barely hurt. Not to mention how strong Kezia was compared to that last ghost, it was almost laughable... almost. 'I've grown strong, but not strong enough.. ' Fone muttered, turning to glance down a nearby corridor. Already eager to battle ghosts were lining up. This time thought they seemed reluctant to approach, not wanting to be considered one of those troublemakers from the previous battle. "Then let's continue." Ko mentioned. Standing up she motioned forward with her stave. "I'll be doing the Mirror Mode challenge once more." She stated. A Cofagrigus was first to approach. Fone leaped forward, feeling confident enough to take on this series of ghosts.
Seven ghosts later, and while Fone was busily taking care of a pesky Duskull, Ko noted a ringing in her ear, followed by the call of a familiar and much loved voice. "Ohm? Where the heck are you? I'm fine, seems I'm in Lavender Town." She replied. A stupidly large grin was crossed over her lips, one that Kezia picked up on. The vixen arched a brow, but decided to keep quiet. Her attention was on the battle before her.

Ko, so happy to hear Ohm's voice was distracted from the battle before her. It'd ended, but the effects hadn't. Kezia approached Ko, trying to get her attention, but Ko was so entranced with Ohm's voice, she hardly noticed. "Ohm?" Suddenly his voice was gone... the warm feeling in her mind was gone. Kezia grew sick of this, and finally took Ko by her shoulder and spun the girl around to show her Fone's current condition. The feline was doing it's best to ignore the poison as more ghosts approached. 'Snap out of it!' Kezia growled, pointing down at Fone. "F-fone!" Ko quickly rushed to the large cat's side and pulled out an Old Gateau. "Here, eat this quick." Fone turned with a look of hurt pride, but ate it regardless, feeling the odd fudge-like substance absorb and cure the poison. "I'm sorry I got distracted. I guess Ohm got sent to a different house." Hugging Fone, the feline glanced up at Kezia with another nod of thanks.
