Personality: Matt is friendly and easy going, and enjoys being around Pokemon just as much as he does people. He has a tendency of getting overexcited during Pokemon battles, which he tries to play off after the dust settles.
Appearance: Matt has shaggy blue-grey hair that he usually keeps hidden under a black beanie. He wears an cream short-sleeve hoodie with a black tank underneath, black gloves, black cargo pants with orange cuffs, and brown boots. He also has a canvas belt with multiple pouches for all his items.
History: Matt was born and raised in Hoenn. Both his parents are very skilled Pokemon Breeders who run the daycare on Route 117 for the more competitive trainers of the region. Matt spent most of his childhood around the various Pokemon his parents took care of and because of that is able to empathize with most Pokemon he encounters. Because of all the time he spent at the daycare, he learned a lot from all the trainers that came and went - everything from type advantage to movesets. He would've been content with staying in Hoenn and helping out at the daycare, but his parents wanted him to get out and see the world. By the time he turned 17 he was convinced to start his own Pokemon adventure, beginning in the Kanto region.
