My name is: Luxara Seleni
I am in team: Green
I am searching area(s): 1 (3 tries)

Luxara was rather surprised about how well she did the previous night! Top score? Heck yes! If she was going to start in the lead, might as well try to keep it up, right? "I've got this."
She rented the same boat as last time and puttered on out to the diving area. Oh yeah, there were trolls actually swimming to get stuff. Right. She'd have to be careful with her net, then!

Luxara stuck with the shallowest part of the reef, then. The low areas could be left for the brave swimmers and seadwellers or whatever. She was happy staying out of the highest-of-highblood turf, thanks. She pulled up her first haul, and looked through the junk, tossing back anything that didn't look mechanical. Rust usually helped. Well, technically rust was bad, but it let her definitely tell what was a metal lump from a non-metal lump.

With unnecessary junk tossed to one side, she plunged her net into the deep again on the other side. Wouldn't want to pull up the same useless crud a second time! She quickly found something rather heavy this time around. Almost as fast as she put the net in, she pulled it back out. Ah! This sure was...hm. Something. The greenblood couldn't tell what, but it sure was a thing. Maybe one of those science-y trolls would figure it out. Yes, she would accept this.

Ah, well, while she was out here, she might as well give it that last go and get back to the booth. Someone was liable to break more stuff while she was gone. After watching the shore festivities from her vantage point for a few minutes, she prepped the net again and sank it. Down it went, and when she pulled it back up, it was full of...small, round things? Huh. Well, they weren't squishy, so caviar wasn't on the menu. With a shrug, Luxara dumped them with the rest of her haul and steered the little dinghy back to port.

My name is: Reemus Grroou
I am in team: Yellow
I am searching area(s): 2, 3, 4

The first night had been so overwhelming that Reemus forgot to go out and participate in the team games! Oh no! What a silly mistake. So he ran out as quick as he could in a wet suit and snorkel to make up for lost time. He was gonna DIVE, DIVE, DIVE.

Okay, so what was he looking for? Shinies? Got it. He swam down a little and looked about for anything that glittered a bit. And...ha ha! Score! There was a something slick with algae growth. He fumbled with it a bit, but managed to bob back up to the water's surface with it to hand it off before diving back down.
This was fun!

Next diving round, he went down a bit lower because why not? There might be more stuff hidden down there! Breathing through his snorkel and looking around through his mask, Reemus felt kind of out of place. He was floating. This wasn't like bath time at all. But here he was! Neat. He combed the little reef in the fading light for another piece of something. Not picky at all, he grabbed the first piece of not-reef he found. Well, it SEEMED like metal, anyways. So he went back up and passed it off so he could grab another thing.

He pushed himself to swim down even further, using his wet suit flippers to help him along. Now it was getting much harder to see since the moonlight couldn't reach as far. Reemus had to feel around, trying not to touch anything prickly. Tomorrow night he'd bring a flashlight with him, for sure. He poked about blindly up and down and side to side until he found something vaguely square. He grabbed and pulled out the mess and took it up to the surface. And with that, he was done!

My name is: Keionx Rutace
I am in team: Orange
I am searching area(s): 3, 2, 4

Keionx saw her name in the announcements, and her name was quite high. This pleased her greatly. She'd worked hard in her search, and had spend hard-won beetles on that rig. She was about to rent the subaquatic rig again this night, but found that she could also get on a boat with a net and other trolls and trawl from there. This seemed to be a better option, with plenty of heroic camaraderie potential and action above the water.

She tried it for a time, netting all manner of items, but she – with some dismay – was forced to come to terms with the fact that expecting camaraderie, among trolls, was but another manifestation of her old delusions.

Having to protect her catch from thieves with every passing moment was far from relaxing and nothing like the relative purity of exploring with the rig. After fending off uscrupulous trolls and failing to fend off a few of them, she left the boat with what she had collected. They had moved around a lot, to various spots, and she knew she had a variety of objects, some junk, some priceless she was sure.

But she had a feeling – the kind of suspicion she had never been prone to feeling before – that the boat owner was not taking them to the very good spots on purpose. Likely, they were in cahoots with another troll.

So, she bit the metallic projectile device (and her wallet) and rented the rig again. And there she was, beneath the ocean, piloting a machine like no-one's business and collecting treasure. All right, piloting the machine was someone's business. Hers. It was still clunky and the worse for wear, but she was soon lumbering (if swimming could be called lumbering at all) back to the surface with her finds.

My name is: Maihue Tivona
I am in team: green
I am searching area(s): 2, 1, 3

It was the second night, and Maihue was ecstatic. She had gotten her team a pretty good amount of points, and was excited to get back out there and get even more. Sticking to the old faithful diving suit, she slipped into it and walked into the water.

Maihue decided to go over to the second area first. It was a completely different area than the night before, and she was interested in every little bit of it. She got as close to the bottom as she could, and started to search for the little itty bitty pieces that are usually too hard to see.

---

The second time Maihue went into the water, she decided to go over to the first section. She had completely skipped it over, and thought it was a good idea to head back and search for stuff there. Instead, she ended up watching the plants sway in the streams of water. Maihue kept getting distracted, so she went up to the surface of the ocean, and looked around. She could hear the festivities just a little ways away, but other than that it was another peaceful night. Too bad she wasn't a seadweller, she could get used to this life.

---

As Maihue put her diving gear on for the last time of the night, she tried to think of what area she should go to. There was still two unexplored areas, or she could go and search through the first two she had been to. Thinking it over, she figured it would be best to go to a new area, so she got into the water, and swam to the third area.

Drifting with the current, Maihue was focused on finding some new materials. There wasn't a lot of sea life to distract her anyway, so her attention was all towards the goal.

My name is: Voscil Torgny
I am in team: Yellow
I am searching area(s): 2, 3, 4

Voscil put on her swim gear and made a beeline for the water without a care in the world. She wasn't a sea dweller by any means, but her energy made up for her lack of knowhow on the swimming bit. Sure there was a rental rig, but she felt good about her own abilities and snorkel, mask and all went about her business.

The first stop had her combing the reef with hurried furry. While the moonlight was only so effective, she made the best out of the situation as she scoured the first area. Her fingers latched onto something solid, and with a bit of effort brought it back up top. It took some effort, what the heck was this thing anyway? Shrugging she dropped it into her designated pile that she would be forming scanning the water’s surface curiously as she decided were to go next.

Sliding back into the water, Voscil shivered from the temperature even through her wet suit. Splashing around her simply for the joy of doing so, the yellowblood swam out a few feet without any concern about her safety. She was just having fun after all. Before going any further, she started tredding water for a bit. Her split decision had Vos swimming to a new location determined to find even more goodies. Clearly there was more work to be done. She hadn't even noticed this even the night before, and would make for damn sure she made it up to her fellow yellows! Using the breathing apparatus the little kid dived back down, floating to the bottom as she combed for more to bring back. One particular object caught her attention, and even in the low light she seized hold of it and just like before returned it to the surface to add to her fast growing collection.

Lastly, she went out a bit further to yet another zone before dipping below water. Kicking with her legs, having only so much breathe after all she swam down with renewed vigor. For her efforts, she found something smaller than that which came before. No matter! It didn't really matter much; she was just pleased all in all that her efforts had been rewarded. Coming back up to the surface she flopped over on the shore line relaxing as she gazed up at the moonlight with a lazy grin on her face. Her stomach rumbled, maybe she'd go find some of that yummy street cart food she'd spied.

My name is: Stryke Nvrmor
I am in team: Yellowblood
I am searching area(s): 3,1,4

There was no way in hell he was going out into the water, no way, no how. Even the rig made him nervous in all reality. The little guy didn't know how to swim, and wasn't about to start tonight. Maybe tomorrow he'd try the device, but for now he felt safest closer to shore and using the nets he'd been promised were perfectly acceptable for use.

Taking the next available boat out, even if it cost a few beetles Stryke clumsily setup various traps and attached a few rocks to ensure they would sink better. It was certainly not the fastest way to get things done, but he was determined to make himself useful for his yellowblooded brethren. It was after-all in the spirit of Bloodfest after all no? It had taken him nearly until the night of the third day, but at last the troll boy was beginning to truly have..yes fun. The light of the moon gave him pause as he gazed at in wonder, a small smile pulling at the edge of his lips into a vague half smile. It was nice just to be a kid…and not be caught up in explosions and fighting. There would be other days he would rise up to full-fill his duties. For tonight? He just wanted to be a kid for once in his life.

On the first pass around the water and its different locations, Stryke sent to the bottom floor his traps. The pattern of the rocking boat was oddly comforting as he closed his eyes and waited until they arrived in a new location. Humming thoughtfully he laid two more traps in different locations. Now he had only to wait, and check back after a little bit. As luck would have it, he soon found himself hauling up his bounty. The first item nearly had him topple over board into the water below; luckily with his lusus's help they were able to yank it free. Landing on his rear, the kid stared in wonder at the net piled in his lap. Alright, manual fishing wasn’t his strong suit. Hopefully no one had seen that mishap.

The second item was mostly medium in size, but round in nature. Shrugging at its appearance he set it aside for the now. It wasn't like he really knew what exactly the requirements were for what he found...it was just part of the game he figured. Lastly he went for the third item. At first he feared he'd pulled up nothing but vegetation. Glaring at it, he pulled the square object from his net, tugging at the sea weed. With a bit of effort, he retrieved a shiny object! Sweet, that meant he'd filled his duty for the night and could get the hell off this rocking vessel before he lost his lunch...literally.

Etsali could honestly say that searching for treasures deep underwater was one possibility that simply hadn't ever occurred to her. She wasn't a seadweller, after all, so did she have any business down there at all? Well, apparently there was stuff to find, and ways to get down there even without being so highblooded, so she guessed the answer, for now at least, was a resounding yes. She didn't have the money to rent the ships unfortunately, so she borrowed a wetsuit, went through the puzzling process of gearing up, and hopped in. It was...an interesting experience to be sure.

My name is: Cebass Lusita
I am in team:purple
I am searching area(s):two three two

Cebass lept from where he was standing and into the water. There was nothing like it. The higher he was the more exhilarating the jump was. Though he had been scolded by his lusus for such reckless behavior before. He just couldn't seem to help himself. the young troll twisted his body under the water so that he could swim in a straight direction. He watched carefully for his opponents and also his teammates. If nothing else happened he could always get to know them right? Though he couldn't say there was much he could do in the way of helping.

with his net bag in hand he searched the different sections for the sunken treasure.

My name is: Hazmas Pochim
I am in team: green
I am searching area(s): three, four, four

Taking off his boots and jacket, Hazmas decided to try one of the Bloodfest's main events. He'd been too tired the day before, but this time he had enough irritation to warrant a cool dip. Machim hooted uncertainly by the edge of the water, agitated over not being able to swim after her charge.

"I'll be fine, Machim," the green blood said, taking off his shirt. "I'don't worry, I'm a good swimmer." He patted her belly reassuringly before grabbing his satchel, fastening some home-made goggles to his face, and slipping into the water.

It was warmer than he thought it would be and his goggles seemed to be holding up. He grinned and dived down deeper until he came to the third section of the reef. The greenblood scanned the reef and stuffed whatever he could find into his satchel.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Hazmas dived deeper, following the trail of debris left by something years ago. 'If they weren't so water damaged, I might be able to use them,' he thought and paused when he saw other swimmers. Narrowing his eyes, he swam silently forward. He'd heard someone the day before had messed up someones stuff, getting them less points for the game. He was already a day late, so maybe a little cheating could be a good thing?

Carefully he reached into their stashes, taking something, meddling with it, before putting it back before they knew it was gone. He did this four times before finally deciding to get back to his own search.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Hazmas swam up to the surface, got a breath and swam back down again. He wasn't finished looking, not by a long shot. There was too much good stuff down here to leave alone. After almost two hours and several surfaces later, Hazmas finally filled his satchel. Swimming to the surface, he hoisted himself up onto the dock, wringing out his hair as he set his heavy satchel aside.

Who knew swimming could be so... rewarding?

My name is: Dictys Glauci
I am in team: Purple
I am searching area(s): one, one, one.

Dictys was staying shallow tonight. To be honest there wasn't really much reason to, but ey figured ey had Good Instincts - after all, ey'd picked well the previous night. Clearly that meant ey'd pick well tonight, too. That was why ey was destined to be a captain, after all - ey could recognize things of value.

In truth ey was well aware that ey couldn't perform appraisals at all. At the same time it was nice to pretend ey was a noble seadweller leading an expedition of trolls who could barely keep themselves afloat into uncharted territory. Actually, that too was suboptimal - Dictys wanted a competent crew. Ey wanted to captain the best crew, and certainly part of that came from Dictys being the most superior leader. But another part of that would come from picking a strong, well-rounded crew, and knowing their strengths and their weaknesses. When ey had one they could dive into the unknown together and retrieve treasures unimaginable to trollkind - but until then, Dictys was going nowhere.

Why couldn't ey grow up faster? No, that was a wigglerhood dream. But with every passing day space seemed closer.

Ey placed eir newfound 'treasures' in the hands of the appraisers, nodding haughtily at them as ey left. Ey could leave the rest of the work to the trolls better suited for it, now!

My name is: Alifax Bunsem
I am in team: Red
I am searching area(s): Two, two, two.

After checking the leaderboards for the event Alifax was pleased to note that a redblood was apparently in the lead. Well, that was good! It made him feel nice enough that he felt like diving even deeper tonight, retrieving treasures that looked quite a bit better-hidden than the ones he'd found the previous night. This would make all the difference, right? And if not, well, there was the other redblood. Whoever she was. He ferried objects from the colorful reef to the surface as quickly as he could - he hadn't rented a tank of air, after all, and he was only a little accustomed to the technique it took to breathe through these stupid contraptions. It was a pity he wasn't...finned or something. But, heh - that didn't mean he'd necessarily do badly in something like this, he reminded himself.

He took a small break between the second and third trips, using the time to retrieve an extra set of his practice hammers from the booth. What? They hadn't had to hand out any prizes yet.

Then he submerged himself again, swimming quickly but blindly for the section of reef he'd already familiarized himself with. He grabbed something quick, and then grabbed his meteors and swung. With any luck he'd hit something. Smiling to himself, he ascended again to the surface.
