NEW BOOTH DAY -- As your darts shoot home, a small light resting on the table turns on. You're not sure what that means, but later on as you wander the festival a seadweller in an enormous broad-brimmed hat, large sunglasses, and massive amounts of boa feathers jogs up to you and presses a ticket into your hands. "Hey. Good work on sending those suckers home. At the darts game, I mean." Stepping back, she gives you a nod that sends feathers cascading, turns, and hurries away back into the crowds.

The kiddo had done good last night! He won a YO-YO! And then a seadweller of all things gave him a compliment for doing good! WOW! He was so astounded he didn't even think to flop on his back! So of course he came back. Reemus liked compliments.
Reemus waved quick at the booth runner, whether it was the real one or not, as well as the drone crew, before picking up the darts and tossing them with all the enthusiasm in the world!
Except...his...aim wasn't so good this time around. "Aww crikey." He sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck. "Guess I got a little TOO excited, hehe." Next time, maybe!

New day, new experiences! Or so Pragma thought. Launching his three darts into the board didn't bring much difference than the day before, with scores relatively the same. Tomorrow then! He would keep trying. His luck was bound to pick up sometime, right? Learn by doing, yeah? Smiling to the boothtroll, he made his way back into the crowd.

Maihue decided to come back to this booth, for one she could support the queen, or at least hope to. She picked up the darts this time with actual confidence. She throws and doesn't get as good as a shot as last time. Maihue sighs, but tries again. She throws and she did it! She got an amazing shot again! She smiles, thinking that maybe she now has luck on her side once again. Her lost shot isn't amazing but, it's still a pretty nice shot. Maihue leaves the booth in a good mood.

Drones again. Kursha clicked his tongue. Well, that was a disappointment. Not entirely unexpected though. Nor could he blame her. Who wanted to stay cramped in a booth all day, when there was so much to do? He could not imagine how Forera and Luxara managed it; especially not with how hyperactive they were. He was half-tempted just to leave, but there was the promise of tickets and anyway, Kursha could not resist an accuracy game. Darts were new to him, but he was determined that he should be no worse at them than he was with a gun. Well, considering his demonstration at the Trigger Happy range that would be easy... “Nice shot!” he called to a shy looking greenblood as she hit the target dead centre. His voice must have thrown her off, because her next shot only hit the side. Still, a near miss was better than an actual miss. Picking up a set of darts for himself, he launched them at the targets. Only two landed: one near centre and the other off to the side. It was hard to tell whether that was an improvement from yesterday, with the how large margin was for the third dart missing the target.

The yo-yo's and awesome bobble heads were simply AMAZING. The little kid zoomed around the booth inspecting it, before she took her place with trying to score some hits on the dart board. It was the fact the sea dweller wasn't just..any ol' troll. It was enough for her that she was impressed by the fact she was one, but it was the unique color that had her gaping in awe. The Queen.
She was gorgeous, the kid had to admit. Blinking in dismay as she flicked her first dart she landed about as far away as was conceivably troll possible. Huffing, determined to do better she flicked the next two in rapid fire order. Neither landed home true to score any cool swag. Darn, she'd have to try again tomorrow~
"Oh well! Better luck next time right?" She grinned, waving good bye and off like a rocket into the night.

A new day for Poeias Claudy meant another chance to live out his dream as a master of darts. He didn't even particularly care for the prizes, at this point it was a matter of making his dream come true. He knew if he believed enough he could do it! He groped for the darts and threw them as straight as he could, aiming for the center of the target.

Lorata was pretty sure she had this today. She'd thought a long time about what must have gone wrong before, and she was pretty sure it wouldn't happen again, no chance. So sure of victory, she marched up to the booth, took her darts and began to throw. She was only dimly aware of the other participants around her, at least until the terrible truth hit her again. She'd done terribly. Why? How!?
She looked around for some kind of answer and zeroed in immediately on the greenblood with the very strange horns standing nearby. "Hey!" She tried her usual squinting trick, but with his horns all in his face, she couldn't even see the best place for fins. "You're doing it all wrong!" He had in fact, done better than her by a little bit, but in her mind's eye it seemed to her that his failure had in some way caused hers.

Poe was startled by the sudden appearance of a... purpleblood? Maybe even a seadweller from what he could see! He stood up straight and turned to her, pulling his hands close to him. He even did better today than yesterday, somehow! "What did I do wrong? I just picked it up and threw it, like you're supposed to..." he said sheepishly. He was almost too nervous to make a joke.

Lorata faltered for just a second. What exactly had he done wrong? She bit her lip, glancing between him and the dart board, and then straightened up to her tallest (which was still tiny despite best efforts). "W-well, you...you're just throwing wrong!" Yes, that was it, there must have been some flaw in the way he'd been tossing darts. She nodded decisively. "That's right, we'll never hit the bullseye if you keep throwing that way. You have to think about...wind and things!" She leaned forward, peering at him. "How do you see the board anyway? With your horns all like that?"

Well, he guessed that did explain a lot. He wasn't a very good dart-ist, and even though it was his dream, he probably had a lot to learn about it... He never thought about the wind! Then she asked about his horns. "Haha, they are pretty ewenique, huh! I can't see the board. I have a lot of blind spots I bet, but I can't seem them either!" He patted the horns gently. He could kind of see. When he tilted his head. Or used a mirror to look around him. That sort of thing. "Wow, thanks for the tip about the darts, you're pretty sharp yourself," he said, grinning.

Lorata lit up at the lack of argument and most especially at the praise she'd been given, a bright smile spreading across her face. It was about time someone appreciated how good she was at things! "No problem! When I saw you over here, I just knew you needed help! We'll get you up to good form in no time, though, and you'll be throwing like a hero from a story!" She tilted her head then, humming thoughtfully. "I bet I can even figure out the best way for you to see around those too if you give me enough time!" She wasn't quite sure of the solution yet, but it would come to her. The best ideas always did.
"I'm Lorata, by the way! Lorata Gorgos! Will you be here again tomorrow?"

Stryke passed by the well decorated booth and found himself freezing in place as he recognized first the...vague-like reference of Byakko and the cartoonish drawing of her face. Scowling slightly, he almost kept walking until he realized whom exactly this booth belonged too.
Pursing his lips slightly, not wanting to rush off and look like a fool..or raise suspicion. Fidgeting nervously he took up the darts and gave each of the three a quick toss. Narrowing his eyes slightly at the first one, he came shy of scoring a better than average hit. The next one suffered as it went a bit wide. The last one, he closed one eye taking his time to give the dart a toss. While he hadn't scored perfectly, he did walk away with a new pen. "ha. look dad, i didn't do too bad i sssuppose...." He eye'd the pen, giving it a quick inspection.
His Lusus looked at him with the same horrified look he felt before covering it with a wry nod. This was was too close to home.
If it wrote in the queens blood color....he wouldn't be using it any time soon. He supposed he could always switch out the cartage for one of the yellow ones he used for journal writing back home but decided unless he was in his hive that would have been the only time to keep the pen on hand. Oh well. Quietly nodding to her as he passed by, he and his lusus headed off before his nerves made him jumpy.
He sent a silent apology to Byakko, a suppressed look of shame and horror on the boys face as he fled from the booth making sure to avoid this one at all costs for the rest of the event.

Poe beamed. This highblood was so nice! And his lusus told him to be careful around girls like that, because highbloods didn't like lowbloods. Obviously she was wrong about that. She wanted to teach him how to throw like a hero! That was exactly what he wanted! Maybe she was a mind-reader too. "Wow, you're so thoughtful!" He grasped her hand with his, intending to give her a handshake. "I'm Poe. Poeias Claudy. And yes, of course! I'm gonna be here every day until I'm a master dart-thrower," he said proudly.

Lorata giggled, shaking Poe's hand enthusiastically. He already wanted to be more like a hero, clearly, if he was working his way up to master dart-throwing. She didn't have to try to convince him or anything, what a nice change! Ahh, he was just full of so much potential, she could tell already! It was still going to take a lot of work to turn him into a statue-worthy legend, but she really really had a good feeling about this one. "I'll be here too! So tomorrow I'll show you how and we'll win for sure! You'll see!" She laughed again. "Everyone will see!"
