Junjie Prompt Response
Junjie's bright green eyes were locked on the stars over head, watching the way that they were glittering, enjoying the sight completely. Night in Eowyn was probably the most beautiful thing ever, to see such a wide expanse of stars overhead without anything to get in the way. It was something that made him feel so small when he looked at them this way. He was currently laying on his back on his cloak, using the sleeping Abellio as a pillow. Snoozing next to him was the Keindred, Arjan, close enough that Junjie could pet him if he were to reach out. The pair of them really were so sweet and always quite protective of him, something that he couldn't help but to smile over. Abellio used to be a bit of a wimp, always hiding under his cloak, but these days the Ysali Keinova was instead helping him in battle. He was able to aid Junjie with the casting of the entangling vine spell. It really did make things a lot easier though he knew that soon enough he would need to start training Arjan as well, something that would be interesting since he wasn't a Kiandri himself.
Turning his attention away from the stars for a moment he gave Arjan a once over. He supposed that the first thing they did could see about teaching Arjan was flight, it did seem to be something quite important to Drakein, something he was a touch envious of. Sure, he had wings of his own but they didn't exactly look as if they were going to be carrying him anywhere. It really was a shame, he really would love to learn to fly himself, but he figured that the next best thing that he could do was to help Arjan to fly just as he'd helped Abellio to do so. He didn't want them to be grounded in the same manner that he himself was, especially when his Drakein were meant to fly. Reaching a hand out he stroked Arjan lightly on the head, not wanting to wake him up, not after they'd had such a long day. Everyone was quite exhausted after that long fishing trip after all.
Now that he'd realized yet another use for his vines he found himself wondering about other things he could use his spells for. Given that most of them were healing spells though he supposed that he should be using them for the most obvious thing, huh? He really did feel as though he'd slacked off on what was his dream when he was younger... well, his dream to a degree. He had always wanted to be a Healer, he just didn't want to be a Healer in the way that his mother had hoped he'd be. She wanted for him to stick around the house, to be her apprentice, and to help her out in the clinic back home, and serve their small village. It had been something that he was so against when he was younger. He wanted to follow his own path, to travel, to learn what he couldn't learn at home, and make friends. He'd felt a bit on the smothered side while at home, always hidden away when people came to visit, but he understood more now then he had when he was little. It was one thing to hear about how people didn't like hybrids and it was a whole other thing to experience it.
Sighing a little he shifted himself, cuddling closer to Abellio, Junjie didn't want to think about it, didn't want to think about the dangers that were constantly trying to threaten him and his fellow hybrids, wanting to think the best of those out there. He'd met so many people, those of all of the different races, and he'd made friends amongst them. At the same time he still worried about what others thought about him, feared them hating him, hunting him, and making his life a living hell. Junjie just didn't want to meet people that would reject him because of what he was instead of because of who he was. It was one thing if they decided they didn't like him because of his personality but not liking him because of his bloodlines bothered Junjie. Not to mention that it was a fear that caused to stay in places like Eowyn, out in the middle of no where, avoiding possible bad scenarios.
The question became how could he go about the job of being a Healer, offering his skills to others, when he was constantly in hiding? He had the option of carrying on forever pretending to be just a Dovaa but in the end that wasn't something he wanted to do, not when he felt that it might be an insult to his Orderite blood. He knew that his mother loved his father, that he was important to her, even if she hadn't seen him in years. It would be rude of him to just deny that part of himself because of fear even if it was a real fear. There were those that would come after him, hunt him, try to kill him, if he were to reveal himself. It really was a difficult spot he found himself, the proverbial rock and a hard spot. He had the powers of two very different races, the ability to use two very different sorts of magic, and both of those colleges of magic had healing magic amongst them. He could heal and he could do it well... he felt he was squandering his powers out here. So perhaps he should go forth and do as his mother had done, he should go out there, travel from place to place, heals those who needed it, those who would find it harder to get to a good doctor because of where they were located. It would be more likely that those who had no access to a good doctor would accept someone like Junjie in a way that those in a main city never would.
"Perhaps that is what we should see about doing next." He mused to himself, glancing at the Drakein but got no response from them other then Arjan rolling over onto his back, one leg kicking into the air. Both to hem were too deep in sleep to reply to what Junjie was thinking about. It really did make him wish that he had someone in his life like Rio did. He loved Abellio and Arjan dearly but the way he loved them was far different from the way that Rio loved Kilian. A shame that he tended to get crushes on all the worst people. Not because they were bad people or anything but because they tended to be taken. It seemed that such things weren't in the cards for him, a bit like flight, but it was yet another thing that he could cheer others on with even if he couldn't be a part of such a thing himself. Though he supposed he couldn't count himself out completely now could he? Not as though he were too old to ever have a chance at things and if he did start to travel from village to village he might end up meeting his soul mate.
For the moment though he supposed it would be best for him to focus on the things that he could do, things like helping others, which was the most important thing there was. Healers were meant to look passed lines that others refused to look passed. No matter who or what a person was he needed to be there for them, to offer a helping hand and his skills as a Healer if it was something that they needed. To do that he would need to leave the deep desert of Eowyn, would need to visit villages and cities, give help where it was needed no matter if it was wanted or not. He somehow felt that if a person was bleeding out that they would likely accept his help even if he was a hybrid he told himself, "Seems like it's decided then." He wondered what Abellio and Arjan would think about the idea of going to more civilized places. Abellio might fret a bit but he was sure that it was the best plan for how he should use his powers from here on out.
On top of that if he started to check civilized places he might hear rumors about Tilawen, where she had been, where she was going, and maybe he'd be able to find her again. He really hoped so... he missed her and for all of his searching so far he hadn't seen her. He might even stumble across some of the others that he'd met in the past well. Eku, Esme, Rio, Tila, Tyrok, he wanted to see them all again, he wouldn't even mind meeting with Ainsley or Kilian again, as well as meeting with new people. There was a lot that could be accomplished if he were to go forth from the desert and become a part of the world. It was a terrifying idea, sure, but he couldn't let that fear hold him back. Giving a bit of a smile he turned his gaze back to watching the stars, picking out the brightest amongst them, and wished for luck with his coming journey upon it before he rolled over onto his side, curling up against Abellio. He needed rest before he started out on the path that he had decided upon, knowing it would likely take every drop of his strength, courage, patience, and will to do so. It was but a moment after deciding upon his next step that Junjie was sleeping deeply in preparation for what was to come.

Uh-Oh...
He'd had the weirdest dream last night... or at least he had the impression that it was a weird dream, he could barely remember it now. All that he knew for certain was that it was the sort of dream that just left him feeling a bit out of sorts when he woke up, "Eesh... I think we really need to see about actually sleeping in a bed for one." He murmured before glancing over at Abellio and Arjan before saying, "Well... I need to sleep in a bed, maybe the two of you can rest your heads on it?" They were a bit too big to really sleep on the bed with him anymore, Abellio alone was sure to crush any bed that was up off the ground he thought to himself before he pushed to his feet, brushing himself off. It was when he was reaching down to picking up the cloak that he'd been sleeping on that he realized that he was being starred at, hard.
"What?" He asked, looking between Abellio and Arjan, trying to figure out what it was that they were doing and why they were starring at him in such a manner. Instantly he was looking himself over, brushing at his clothing, then lifted a hand to his face, "What? Do I have something on face? In my hair?" Why weren't they saying anything? Was it bad? Some sort of snake or sand spider in his hair?!
Arjan gave a chuckle, as though amused by the panic before he said, "It's on your back." Not trying to be helpful at all but then again he rarely was unless the situation called for him to be just that. Why should he be when Junjie had Abellio to mother him? He was the tough one of the group, someone had to be after all, the other two were such cream puffs.
"On my... back?" Junjie stood stock still for a moment, preparing to face off with whatever horrible creature it was that was crawling on his back before he spun around, trying to look over his shoulder best that he could... when he came face to wing with what it really was that the two Drakein had been starring at. There was a long moment where Junjie just stood there, utterly still, breath held, before he gave a flap of his wings. First the normal, feathery ones gave a flap, followed by the two more draconic wings. He blinked a couple times then gave a cry of shock, flapping them all more rapidly as though trying to figure out what in the hell was going on. After a moment he bolted, running over to Abellio, clinging to him, "W-What's going on?!" Why did he suddenly have more wings?!
Abellio starred down at him for a long moment before nuzzling against him, trying to sooth him, but looked just as confused as Junjie was. It wasn't as though Lena had lots of wings so this was certainly something that was lost on him as to what was going on. In fact he even turned to look over at Arjan, starring at the Kiandri as though he might hold some sort of answer.
The Keindred looked up at the two of them, scratching his side with his hind leg, before helpfully saying, "Maybe it's cause he's a halfbreed?" He had no idea but all manner of weird things seemed to happen to Junjie because of that. He was able to use two sorts of magic, something a normal Dovaa couldn't, he had feathery wings, unlike a normal Dovaa, and various other things that he could list but didn't bother. Junie was far from normal, he was abnormal, but Arjan loved him nevertheless. Sitting back in the sand he gave him a once over before he said, "We can go see Miss Lena." No reason not to, if they visited the Peisio woman they would be likely to get cookies... and maybe some of those cream puffs that he was comparing his companions to earlier. How nice would that be? Instantly his mind wandered away from the current situation to Junjie's mother and the various treats she cooked up, hopeful that they could get more of those.
"Ahh... that might be a good idea..." Junjie said, easing his hold on Abellio a little bit. If anyone would know what was going on with him it would be his mother. She was smart after all, alright, all he had to do was catch a ship from Eowyn to Serenia, hurry home, and she would be able to tell him what was going on! Giving a nod of his head he closed his eyes, willing his wings to vanish back into his back. He would need to hide them now more then ever he thought to himself... when he realized something even more shocking them when he discovered the new wings. His wings... they weren't disappearing, were they? He turned to look at them once more, watching as one of them gave a little flutter as if to prove it was still there, before he tried again, then again and again and had zero luck. It would appear as if they were... stuck?
Junjie found himself plopping down in the sand, clinging to his cloak, wings flapping behind them. They weren't going back into his back, were they? No... they seemed as though they were stuck just like they were, no longer did he have the power to banish them, making him wondering that much more as to what was going on. What had happened to make them appear? What had happened to make them stay out like this? He had no clue, all he knew for certain was that he needed to get home as fast as possible so that his mother could fix him. Surely as a doctor she would know what was wrong with him, right? He could only hope so he thought to himself as he recovered enough to get to his feet, gathering up his things, "We need to get home fast, before anyone sees me like this... eesh... how am I supposed to do this? How can I take a ship like this?" He whispered to his Drakein, worried now due to the overwhelming dislike the world had for hybrids. The best he could really do was try to hide them under his cloak but he wasn't really sure how well that might go.
"We really need to get home." He said again, realizing that he did have a way back... but it would only work for himself. He couldn't leave them behind, he wasn't so selfish as that, meaning that he was going to have to brave the ship ride back. Maybe... maybe he were to find that nice Orderite sailor from before the man might help them? That or reject him outright because of what he was... he wasn't quite certain at this point how it would go. All he knew for certain was that it was the only option he could come up with at the moment no matter how poor an option it was, "Come on you two, let's see if we can find that guy." It was their best bet at the moment and they could only pray to the higher powers that the guy would be willing to help them.

Roundabout Help
Well this was awkward... Junjie was starring up at the sailor that they had met earlier from the depths of his hood after explaining the situation to him and everything was just... silent. He was sure the guy was probably displeased with him, huh? It was probably one thing to save a Dovaa from certain doom but it might very well be another thing when it came to someone with mixed blood. There were so many people that thought so poorly of them... they would likely prefer to take up arms and do the angry mob thing as opposed to helping one of them. He shifted in place before dropping his gaze, "Look... I know that you probably don't want to help someone like me but... I don't know anyone else to turn to at the moment. Even with all these wings I can't very well fly home and neither can Arjan! He's too little!" He finally said, his voice wavering a little.
The guy gave a huge sigh, then crossed his arms over his chest, looking off to the side, "Look... I already knew but chose to turn a blind eye since you look enough like a Dovaa to pass as one. At least you did... taking you on board now, it would cause a stir and I can't vouch for anyone else on board, sailors or passengers, you would be in danger. Not to mention that you could get thrown overboard or something." He'd rather not see the guy get eaten by Peisio Dragons or drown because he was made to walk the plank, "You need to find another way over to Serenia, I don't think I can help you." He said all this refusing to look at Junjie, not wanting to allow himself to get drawn into whatever it was that was going on with the guy. Sure, he'd helped before knowing what he was, but now was different, now Junjie's looks were too much of a threat to the peace aboard the ship.
Junjie took a step back, closer to his Drakein, a little taken aback. He knew it was a bit of a long shot but he'd really hoped that coming to this particular man might work out for him, "Ahh... what about... what about Abellio and Arjan? They are innocent in all of this, could I get you to bring them across for me?" He asked after a moment of thought before he dug into his pack, pulling out what coin he had at the moment, holding it out to the man, "I can pay for them, extra even given they are bigger then normal passengers, just get them to Serenia for me and I will find my own means of crossing over." He pleaded with the sailor. Sure, he was unwilling to help Junjie because of what he was, because he would cause problems for the ship's crew and passengers, but maybe he'd be willing to help out his Drakein who just needed a ride home?
The man turned his gaze back to the pleading mage before sighing, taking from him what fee would normally be charged for Drakein passage before pushing the rest back at him, "If they behave themselves they can come aboard, I will look after them from here to Serenia... and you? How do you plan to get across?" The man asked, his gaze wavering a bit, actually showing worry even though he knew he shouldn't really be so nice to a hybrid. If anyone found out that he was doing this he could very well be fired or seen as some sort of sympathizer. Given everything that had happened of late, the various rumors, and the general dislike of their kind he really didn't want to risk that. He had built himself a life and he couldn't risk it for a guy he barely knew. The Drakein though, that at least he could help with since it wasn't strange to see them taking a ship when they couldn't find the distance between continents which it seemed the smaller one was unable to do.
A sigh of relief escaped from Junjie, lifting a hand to rest it against his chest for a moment, before he said, "Thank you, please keep them safe for me, they are my everything." He said, not wanting to see them get harmed because he wasn't there to look after them. When the man asked him how he planned to get across he gave a shrug of one shoulder before saying simple, "Magic." Before he turned to give each of his Drakein a big hug, "You two behave yourselves for him. Once this boat ride is done and we are all in Serenia everything will be alright." At least he sure hoped so, his mother had to know a way to fix what was wrong with him after all, right? Of course she did! She was a doctor, she would understand what was going on with him and she would fix it, then he would travel as easy as he used to with his wings hidden away he reassured himself. "You should see about teaching that one to fly though, it would really make things a lot easier for you when it comes to traveling." The sailor suggested, motioning to Arjan before he tucked the coin away into his pocket, "Alright, I will take them aboard, we will be leaving soon."
Junjie nodded, watching as the two reluctantly followed after the sailor, neither of them seeming to be thinking very nice thoughts at the moment when it came to him. It seemed that both felt he should have done more for Junjie but the mage felt that he'd done plenty. He watched quietly from the shadowy spot under the dock where he was hiding out as the ship left port... and only then did he cast a spell that would take him home. It wasn't something he really used often and he only knew the rudimentary knowledge on his to use it, but it would have to do. When he touched down in Serenia he wasn't exactly where he'd of liked to have landed, he was also exhausted, but at least he'd made it. Now to rest up and wait for the ship to arrive, feeling completely isolated and alone in this moment with Abellio and Arjan at his side. It was enough to make him shiver a bit despite the warm sun that was shining down on him from overhead.

Back in Serenia
By the time he was able to meet up with his Drakein again and make it back to his childhood home Junjie was spent. He wanted nothing more then to go inside, crawl into bed, and just sleep for a week. It really wasn't an option though, not when he needed his mother to look him over and figure out what was wrong with him. There had to be a reason for the strange condition that he found himself in and as a doctor she was the only one that he could really turn to. She would mix up a potion, he'd drink it, and he would be cured... or at least that was what he was hoping would happen. Given the time he'd had since waking up in Eowyn with the extra wings he really had no idea what to expect next. No matter what happened next though at least he would be with his mother he thought to himself as he looked from side to side, making sure the coast was clear before he and his Drakein when rushing forward from the forest where they were hiding, across the yard, and into the house. He closed the door behind him quickly before calling out, "Mom? Are you home?"
A short moment later the Dovaa woman appeared, her pace a near run, and she looked at her son who was looking quite the worse for wear, "Junjie?" She murmured, taking a couple steps forward toward the boy, lifting a hand to rest it against his cheek, "Oh... just look at you, what happened? Are you alright? Are you hurt?" She asked in a rush, her fears as a mother and doctor combining to make her that much more worried about his health.
The hybrid boy starred at her for a long moment before shaking his head, "I... I don't know..." He said, then looked around, "You are the only one home, right? No company?" He asked, waiting for her to nod in the affirmative before he shrugged out of his cloak, handing it over to Abellio, and opened up his four wings for her to see, "I... I don't know what to do... I can't get them to disappear anymore, they are... are stuck like this... and... I don't know... what I should do. Everyone is going to know what I am! I can't fake being a Dovaa anymore... I mean I was thinking about not bothering anymore, I don't want to deny father's blood but... not like this, it was too sudden! I couldn't even get used to the fact that I got random wings out of no where!" He said, his words coming out in a rush before he starred at his mother, waiting for her to make everything better in the manner that she always had when he was little and in need of her.
Lena starred at her son, eyes wide, before she started to circle around in, taking in every detail along with the words that he'd said. Her son... he'd grown in a second set of wings. It was unlike anything she'd ever seen that was for certain, at least with a Dovaa. It was something else entirely for the Orderite though, wasn't it? Getting an extra set of wings was a normal coming of age thing for them. Even if that were the case though it was a very interesting thing, to see her son with a pair of wings from each clan that he was a part of. He was a perfect example of a hybrid, a child born of the love between two clans, but one that would be unloved by everyone else... it was something that made her heart ache. Especially when she realized that she had no idea how to help him... how could she fix something that wasn't an injury or disease? This was a natural thing, save of course for the fact that he could no longer retract his wings, that was just... strange. It was something that an Orderite was able to do easily but perhaps it was his Dovaa blood and his Dovaa wings interfering with a Orderite process? That was her only guess.
"Come on, Junjie, I want you to sit down." She said, motioning to the chairs that sat alongside the kitchen table, "You sit, I will get something for you to eat, and we will talk." She was using a soothing tone of voice, hoping to calm her son a bit. He seemed to be quite shaken up She moved to make sure the door was locked before fetching some treats for her son and his bonded friends, handing a cookie to Abellio, another to Arjan, then took a seat next to her son, setting the plate of treats before him. She took a deep breath, let it out slowly, then said, "Junjie... because you are what you are, not completely Orderite and not completely Dovaa, I think things are getting a bit mixed up inside of you. You see Orderite, as they grow older, they get more wings, and Dovaa... well, we get wings like these." She flapped her own while motioning at the ones that Junjie had grown.
"I... I think these two things mixed inside of you, manifesting your second set of wings as Dovaa wings but... at the same time Dovaa are never meant to be able to hide their wings. It's possible their your dragon blood is becoming more dominant now that your wings have appeared causing your ability to recall your wings to perhaps... dwindle." She explained, taking in the look of shock that appeared on his face, "This isn't to say that you will never be able to do it again it just means that you are going to have to learn how the ability works and learn to use it with both sets of your wings."
Junjie swallowed hard, looking over his shoulder at the wings, then shook his head, "I... but it was... it was never something I learned... before I could just do it. I never really had to learn to control it other then trying to keep my wings from popping out at random." He said quietly, finding it quite strange that he would have to relearn something that he been like second nature to him before, like breathing. To relearn such a basic skill, was it possible? He ducked his head, poking at one of the cookies with his finger, "I... I am not sure where to start... and what do I do until then? I can't walk around like this, especially not here, I don't want people hassling you because of me!"
The Dovaa woman reaching to pat him lightly on the head, giving him a smile, before she said, "I think you should go to Ayr, you know the Sage is still there, and it's not as though it's a place that gets a lot of foot traffic. It would be a good place for you to go to try to relearn your ability to hide your wings. Not to mention that he is well read, he should be able to help you where I can't. What I do, I work with herbs and magic to heal wounds but you aren't wounded Junjie, you are just... a little different." She said, feeling a little guilty over that. Had she instead fallen for someone from her own clan this might not have happened, he might have grown up normally, he wouldn't have to worry about such strange hiccups or fear of being hated because of them. She had fallen for the wrong man and it caused pain for her son, "I... am sorry, Junjie... I really am, what you are going through, it's my fault..."
Instantly Junjie was shaking his head, "No, no... it's not! Please, don't think that. I am not upset with you or with father, I just... I'm worried for you is all. I don't want people bullying you for letting me come here." Just as he didn't want to cause trouble for the Orderite sailor, "I will go to Ayr, see if the Sage can help me out, and I will do my best to relearn the skill." He said, not wanting for his mother to be upset over this. He knew where her thoughts had gone and they weren't in a place that he wanted them to be. Rising to his feet he said, "I am going to go to my room, get a bit of rest, and then we will set out tomorrow, alright?"
Lena nodded her head, rising to her feet as well before she pulled her son into her arms for a hug, "He'd be proud of you I think." She murmured, really wishing now of all times that the Orderite that was his father was still around, if anyone could really help it would be him, but without him to step in then it appeared she had to rely on the Sage once more, "Apologize to the Sage for me? I keep sending you to him and it's really unfair to him." She said, picking up some cookies to hand off to her son before ushering him on his way. Once he and the Drakein had gone she sat down heavily once more, "Please forgive me, Leucetius, I keep burdening you like this." She murmured, knowing that the Sage would do anything for her, something she felt guilty for given she could never give him what he wanted in return. Knowing that it was going to be a long, sleepless night, Lena pushed to her feet once more and set to work cleaning to fill the time.

Arjan's (Accidental) Suggestion
It really hadn't been that long since he'd last spent time with Rio and her daughter Lilith but he was already missing them a bit. He had to wonder where they were at the moment, what they were doing, if they had found Casseth and Kilian yet. There were many questions and as much as he wanted to spend more time with them, helping them in what ways he could, he'd also promised Arjan and Abellio some time. Just the three of them, out training and hunting, it was something that they were supposed to have done 'ages ago' if you asked Arjan but things kept coming up. Not something that put the prickly little Kiandri in a good mood at all but he was doing what he could to sooth him back into a better mood. They would train together, get stronger, and later on they would go and visit with Rio again.
"Little Lil seems to be growing up fast, huh?" He mused to the two that were walking on either side of him, a question that drew both their gazes for a moment as he looked on ahead, his two pairs of mismatched twins giving a flutter, "I remember when she was super little and easy to hold... though I can't see her being as open to being picked up at the moment." She hadn't seemed to be in that good of a mood when they had last met, instead seeming to be upset over the disappearance of a couple members of her family. It was a pain he knew full well. He had never known his own father, figured that by now the man could easily be dead, and then there was Tilawen who had vanished some time ago and he hadn't seen her since. Tila had it harder then Junjie did growing up, it had made her hard herself on the outside, and he couldn't help but to wonder if that was part of why he couldn't find her. She might not want to be found. He could only hope that she was out there somewhere doing what would make her happy, what would make her smile, she'd always seemed so lonely even when he was at her side. He doubted that father of hers helped any.
Giving a little sigh he said, "I feel at times as though we are cursed." He told the two that were walking with him, "Just because we carry mixed blood in our veins it means that we are meant to experience pain that those who are 'pure' are able to avoid." It was something that felt was a bit unfair in a way, but it was life, "If I had a child I would be sure to look after them, protect them, like my mother did for me, like Rio does for Lil." Like Tilawen's father should have done for her instead of being as scary as he was during those times Junjie crossed paths with him.
Abellio looked over at Arjan a moment, their gazes meeting, before he said, "Don't you need a mate to have a baby, Junjie?" He knew that his bonded had a couple fleeting crushes in the past but nothing that would result in young, of that he was certain. He also knew, from what he'd seen of Rio and her pair, that such things were necessary. One couldn't have a baby without a female and Junjie had yet to show any interest in any female in the past, instead always crushing on out of reach men.
On the otherside of Junjie the Kiandri gave a gagging sound, "Why would you want one of those squalling brats? So small, so loud, they would get us eaten by the first dragon that heard it shrieking." He complained, not liking at all where this was going. Junjie needed to be training, not worrying about some hypothetical child! Just because Rio had decided to have a clutch didn't mean that Junjie should be thinking about the same thing. The way they move about, the way they acted, they were nomadic, stopping to rest from time to time at Rio's place in Aisko or Lena's place in Serenia. Surely adding a brat into the mix wasn't going to help things a lot at all? At least he surely didn't think so.
There was a moment where Junjie sighed, looking down at his hands, making a grasping motion with them before he said, "You are both probably right. I mean... I have no one. Just a couple puppy dog crushes in the past that were for men that were out of reach for one reason or another." One who was much older, one that was taken by a female friend of his, and one that turned out to be too nervous to approach him when he realized that Junjie was a hybrid. There were always things that got in the way but he couldn't complain, especially when it came to Eku, Junjie loved Esme like a sister after all and he'd of never done anything to mess with her relationship with him. Love was just not for him. That meant that children might not be for him either, huh? A sad thought that had him sighing wistfully again before he continued walking forward.
Abellio ducked his head for a moment, disliking that sad feeling coming from Junjie as he realized that he lacked a prospective mate as well as a child. It wasn't something he cared for and as such he wanted to cheer him up, "There must surely be other ways? You raised us and it's not as though you had a Khehorian mate to make us." He reminded Junjie. No, Junjie had found and saved their eggs, took good care of them, hatched them, and then raised them as though they were his own. Giving a smile he said, "Maybe we should find you another egg? Would that help?"
"Idiot! Raising another Orakoi isn't the same as raising a squawking two-leg whelp. It would be easier if we just went off and found one of those who, like us, had no home." He snarled at Abellio, then seemed to realize what he'd said, words that seemed to reach Junjie, and instantly he was cursing at himself for it. Damn it! He hadn't meant to help! He just didn't want another Orakoi about. He was find with it just being the three of them and now... now Junjie had ideas in his head! Blast it all!
In fact Junjie did seem to be thinking about that now, musing over the idea. Adoption, huh? Not the same as what Rio had done by a long shot but given that he had no real interest in women that hadn't exactly been an option that was on the table, huh? There were children out there that needed loving parents, those who lost their parents in the war between the races, those that were abandoned for being different, all sorts that could use a father like him. It was a long shot but still it was a shot. Looking over at Arjan he gave him a smile, reaching out to pat him on the head, "It's a good idea, Arjan, though how about before we go searching the world for some orphans in need of a family like ours we see about doing some training, hm? I know you are probably eager for a little one to look after but training should come first." He said in a joking manner that had the Kiandri making faces at him as they continued onward toward where they hoped some dragons would be located.
