Erionda bent over the side of the table. Pressing the palm of her hand into her forehead. She had been feeling rather ill for the past week or two. Her spare hand moved to brace her against the table and push her back into standing. Something smelt like it was burning in the kitchen, and whatever it was, brought on yet another wave of nausea.
Groaning painfully as her stomach squeezed and tensed, the hybrid woman swallowed as bile raced through her mouth. “Not again,” Erionda muttered turning to stumble towards the bathroom.
Lanzecki’s head shot up from where he had been nestled beside the table. Blinking twice he rose to give his bonded support as she hurried forward. A long piteous whine echoed from him through the house. He didn’t like that there was practically nothing he could do to help Erionda through this strange flu that had taken hold of her.
Uassae, please find Junjie. He will know what can be done. Besides he hasn’t visited in a while and he promised he would. Erionda sent over the bond, her voice otherwise engaged in the upheaval of whatever was left in her stomach.
Uassae angled over the frozen land. He didn’t like being outside for very long in the cold climate without Erionda to keep him warmer. His wings had a slight tendency to receive the small tendrils of frostbite in the cold air. Thankfully he could heal himself quick enough It wouldn’t matter too much in the long run.
Hissing mentally to himself the Drakein’s eyes scanned over the landscape. He had been instructed by Erionda to find Junjie. She had remembered hearing the hybrid was going to be on Aisko and had wondered if he was still here. He hadn’t come to visit her yet and she had been worried. It didn’t help she was now suffering from a strange sickness that seemed to grip her each morning. And for no reason at all.
Eye’s narrowed on a small shifting blurr in the snow. Angling downward in a spiral Uassae gave a slight trill to let whatever it was know he was on friendly terms.

Junjie, flanked by Abellio and Arjan, were currently tracking some of the Aiskala dragons, have seen them earlier, had a scuffle with some of them, and he found the battle to be a rather challenging one. It was difficult to use his Ysali powers here, even with the aid of Abellio, causing him to fall back on Aeduan magic. Luckily for him it would seem that after so long the Blood Moon had finally waned, allowing for him to cast those spells with ease again. Glancing over at Abellio he realized that his Keinova friend had paused, "What are you looking at, Abellio?" He asked, a moment before he heard the trilling sound, something that caused all three of them to look up in unison, "Uassae?" What a lucky coincidence!
Lifting a hand up he waved at the big Drakein before giving a smile, "How lucky, huh? Maybe he will lead us to where Rio is." He said, having been wanting to visit with his friend again but he wasn't quite sure how to get to where it was that she was living at the moment. It had been a little while since he'd last seen her, not since they battled those birds on Ayr, so it would be nice to see her again.
Arjan looked at Junjie, toward Uassae, then in the direction that they had been walking until Junjie found himself distracted by the Drakein. If it were possible he'd likely have facepalmed over what his bonded was saying. They should be hunting down dragons! His bonded needed to get stronger so that they could be done with this frozen wasteland. Not to mention that he promised that they would go back to Ayr soon so he could learn from the Sage! It would seem they would be side tracked again though, huh? Damn.
Giving a soft chuckle Junjie patted the Keindred on the head, "Don't worry, you will be spewing lightning with the best of them soon enough. Let's visit with our friends first, see how they are doing, and then we will chase down more Aiskala orbs, I promise." The ice wasn't agreeing with the Ysali blood that flowed through Junjie's veins and even with a heavy cloak on his many wings were shaking like crazy! An added bonus of visiting with Rio, that being getting to get out of the cold for a bit. As such he was only that much more hopeful that Uassae meant to lead them to Rio.

Amadia’s head perked up at the sound of Erionda getting sick. Whining, she rose from where she was laying in the kitchen and headbutted Kilian’s leg. “Is Rio alright?”
Kilian frowned down at the mess he had made in the kitchen and grumbled as he tossed it. His gaze darted from the ruined food, to Amadia and then in the direction of the sounds Erionda was making. “I...I don’t know Amadia. She’s really sick and I’m not sure what’s wrong.” He smoothed back his dreads and closed his lids as he leaned back against the counter. He wished he was some kind of healer so that he could make whatever was wrong with her be gone.
His lips thinned as he pushed away from the counter and paced around the kitchen a bit. “I can’t stand not being able to help her,” he muttered angrily as more sounds traveled through the house. Frustrated, Kilian left the kitchen and ventured out into the cold, Aisko air. He took a deep breath of the chilly air and shuddered as the cold seeped into his body. He stared off into the distance, nothing but snow and ice to be seen for miles, upon miles. He honestly didn’t mind living on this content the majority of the time. With Rio sick, however, he wished they were back on Eowyn, where healers were easier to come by.
Taking one last, deep breath of the frigid air he stepped back into their house and seeked out Erionda. “Rio…” he whispered when he found her, still in the bathroom. “I wish there was something I could do.” He frowned as he crouched down beside her and reached up with his hand, brushing her hair out of her face.

Shuddering Erionda’s eyes shifted towards Kilian. Her face was pale as she gasped for air. “I don’t even know what's wrong, Kilian.” She muttered. Feeling weak by the urges that had taken over her and continued to persist. Over the course of the past two weeks. “I’ve sent Uassae to find Junjie. It may sound weird but he was supposed to visit around now, he’s a healer. Maybe he will know what to do. Or be able to help. Uassae still doesn’t know what to do, the only thing he can do is try to dampen the spells.”
Another wave crashed over Erionda, groaning she whimpered as tears formed in her eyes. Her eyes opened to give Kilian a pleading look. She wanted relief from the pain. “Maybe we should toss away the Alkara meat all together. Perhaps I’m just far more susceptible to the food than the rest of us. It just looks wrong.”
“It doesn’t taste wrong. And I’m not sick.” Lanzecki interjected.
Groaning painfully Erionda tried to hold back her tears. She could handle pain from wounds all over her body. But not the way her stomach craved food, and whatever they had lying around wasn’t satisfying her, and the stuff she knew would, was now making her sick. Her hands moved to gather up a towel hanging on the wall beside her. Wiping her face Erionda struggled to stand. One hand reaching out for Kilian another to balance herself. “Maybe I should just go lay down again.” Erionda offered as her body trembled.
Uassae drew closer trumpeting as he caught sight of the familiar duo. Eying the new stranger warily as he settled down in the snow beside them. That wasn’t important now, even if it could be some strange feral who they were protecting. Stomping his feet as he moved to catch up to them. Trying his best to signal his hurry Uassae came up to Junjie and gave him a nudge towards Rio’s home. “She sick! Very sick! You have to help her, I can’t even make this go away. All I can do is help tame whatever it is. But I can’t make it go away! She can’t keep anything down. She’s sick! You have to help. Quickly”
Another nudge and Uassae was stomping off towards home, his tail flicked back and forth impatiently. Shivering as he continued to prance ahead the Aeduan Drakein shifted to look back to make sure Junjie was following. “You must hurry. And be careful, whatever it is that’s making her sick. Is also sending her magic spiraling out of control. She’s summoned terrible snowstorms. Stay close or you will get lost in it. Even ice is scattered all over. Quickly now.” Raising a wing as if to fend off some of the building snow Uassae continued to press on. Checking back to see if the team behind him were still somewhere in sight. The house pulled into view a while later. At first it appeared as a faint shadow in the distance, ebbing in and out of sight by the raging snowstorm about them. The snow swirled in gusting winds thickening the closer to the house the party came. The Drakein gave a loud roar towards the house.
Lanzecki’s head popped up from where he was watching Erionda. Turning to look at the door he slipped quietly out of sight. Uassae’s tone was almost commanding, thinking better about ignoring him, Lanzecki pushed to his feet with a loud sigh. Rolling his eyes he slipped towards the front door. Pushing it open with another sigh his eyes widened as he caught sight of Junjie and Abellio.
Flapping his wings before him and letting out another roar that joined with Uassae’s. Lanzecki used his own power to create a small tunnel in the billowing snow. Huffing as he waited for everyone to hurry on towards him. “You’re irritatingly late. super late. She could have died you know. All your fault.”

"Sick?" Junjie echoed the word, his eyes going wide, his cheeks a bit pale, as Uassae spoke about how sick she was, making it sound quite dire. He was never happier that he'd come to Aiskala even if this place was far from where he'd pick as a vacation destination. Turning to look between his Drakein he said, "We will be going to check on Rio now, best that we do what we can for her. I'm sorry Arjan, training is going to have to wait." He felt a bit guilty, making the Keindred wait even longer but he couldn't just leave Rio, not if she was sick and in need of his help. That it was something that even Uassae was unable to help with concerned him greatly, making him question what it was that had happened between when he'd seen Rio last and now. What had she come down with? A disease that was found only in Aisko, perhaps? No matter what it was though he would use every last ounce of his strength to try to help his friend out.
Giving Uassae a smile he said in a reassuring tone, "I will do all that I can for her, you just lead the way." He said, not wanting to let the Drakein fret for even a moment longer about getting help from him. It wasn't long before they were heading toward where Rio was staying and much to his amazement it was just as Uassae had said, the weather was quite bad here, wasn't it? Not as though the snow ever seemed to stop but it seemed so much worse here. The winds were stronger, more biting, the snow was heavier, and he found himself wishing for a moment that he or his Drakein had Firani powers to help cut their way through the snow. Without that power though they had to just continue to forge their way forward toward Rio's place despite the storm, hopefully without getting buried. This was a sickness that he'd never heard of before but then again he'd not run into a lot of ailing Dovaa in his time. Perhaps this was always a possible symptom given that they did wield a lot of elemental power? Best he didn't get so sick, he didn't want to cause the plants to rampage he thought to himself.
With some aid from Lanzecki they were given a clearer path toward their goal, something that made the hybrid Ysali smile, "You have my thanks, Lanzecki." He said, giving him a nod before looking over at Abellio and Arjan, "Hang in there you two, we are nearly there, then you two can rest up and thaw out while I see to checking on Rio." He told them, knowing that trudging about in the snow was harder on them given their bigger size, Abellio especially. Giving them each a smile he was then turning back to Lanzecki, "Can you bring me to her?"

Kilian reached out quickly, steadying Erionda as she rose. A frown formed at how weak she seemed. Whatever was wrong, it was bad. It had to be. At the news that Junjie was being sought out, Kilian’s worry eased just a fraction. A healer was on his way and soon, hopefully, they would know what was wrong with Rio and Junjie could heal her.
His head snapped up at the sound of a roar and Lanzecki taking off. Was Uassae back already? Amadia took off after Lanzecki, determined to help drag Junjie into the house if need be. Her wings flapped as she came to a stop as she came into the room. ‘He’s here, he’s here!’ She called back to Kilian through their bond.
Kilian wrapped an arm around Erionda’s waist, tugging her close and helping to keep her balanced as they made their way into the main living area. His gaze locked right onto Junjie. “Help her, please?” The sound his voice made as he pleaded with Junjie to help heal Erionda was enough to make Amadia whine as she nudged her snout under Kilian’s free hand.

"Don't have too.." Lanzecki crowed and turned his head towards the main house. "She's coming with Kilian."
He eyed Abellio longingly. The younger grey Keindred wanted nothing more than to play. He knew better, this was not a good idea to entertain. Giving his wings a swift shake he trotted into the house where Erionda and Kilian now stood. Turning back with a longing gaze at Junjie. "It's weird, Uassae and I don't feel sick at all. Normally we feel all her pain." Confused he shifted out of the way.
Uassae gave Junjie a nudge further into the house before turning to the living room to settle near the Skybreaker on the wall to warm his wings.
"Please forgive them Junjie. I don't think that they know how pushy they are being." Erionda shoved a deep rush of air into her lungs before moving slowly towards Junjie. "I apologize you aren't seeing me on the best of days. I had hoped the meeting would be far better than this. Unfortunately, I have been really sick for a couple of weeks."
Turning to face Junjie Erionda pushed lightly away from Kilian. Refusing to show any form of weaknesses to anyone but her Oblivionite mate. "I am sure it's just a cold."
Uassae snorted from where he was curled up. But refrained from commenting.

The healer looked down at Lanzecki for a moment when he said that Rio was coming with Kilian, something that gladdened him to hear. He was glad that she wasn't alone if she was so sick. That Kilian was here taking care of her was a good thing... though would the Oblivionite let him help he wondered. Theirs seemed to be a relationship that was tenuous at best after all and he didn't want to step on any toes as far as the other man went.
In fact Junjie gave a long pause when he found himself face to face with Kilian, something he couldn't help but to be worried about given that their first meeting had been awkward and their second one was just them merely crossing paths while saving Rio. Instead of the man seeming to want him to get lost though it was something much different and unexpected, he was actually asking him for help for Rio as well. It made him that much more worried, as though Kilian asking him for help for Rio meant that it was that bad, "I will do all I can." He said, giving Kilian a smile and a gentle pat on the shoulder. It seemed that the entire household was on edge over Rio's sickness, something that showed how much she was loved by them, how important she was to them, it something that made him happy to see. Given how many people in the world dislike hybrids this was a wonderful change of pace and he felt things should be. A shame not all were as open minded as Kilian seemed to be.
His attention turned then to Rio, giving her a smile, "Ahh... you are still on your feet, good. I was actually a little afraid that I would find you on your death bed, Rio." The way that it sounded made it seem quite dire, that she was walking on her own and talking coherantly, it was a good sign that it wasn't really severe. Regardless though it was best that he didn't take it lightly just becausee she was up and about, she might just be pushing herself after all. When she apologized for her condition he couldn't help but to give a soft laugh, "It's quite alright, you can't be showing off by punching dragons every day. Come on, how about we sit down and you can tell me about your symptoms." A couple of weeks seemed to be a long time for a cold but given the weather in the area that could cause it to linger... though one would think that being an Aiskala Dovaa might cancel out the effects of the snow and cold. Best that he get a list of her symptoms and go from there. He didn’t want to leave anything out after all.

Kilian tensed as Erionda pushed away from him, wanting nothing more than to tug her back against him. He resisted, however, knowing full well that her reasoning for moving away had more to do with her pride than not wanting to be seen near him. “It’s not just a cold, Rio,” he said with a tinge of worry behind his words. “You’ve been sick far longer than a mere cold would make you.”
Kilian watched as they moved to sit, stiffly following after them. If he did not sit, he would end up pacing. His fingers laced together as he leaned forward and rested his elbows on his knees. Kilian didn’t pray much but this sure seemed like a good time to start.
’Gods, let her be ok.’
He sent the prayer up, only Amadia hearing what he was thinking. Kilian would be lost without Erionda. Did not even want to think about the possibility of losing her. He couldn’t. He wouldn’t. Junjie would help her. He would know what was wrong with her as soon as he examined her.

Erionda rolled her eyes. "Uassae and Lanzecki have a nasty habit of over exaggerating what's going on. I really should have warned you about their habits before now."
Lanzecki shook his head vigorously back and forth and stomped his hind foot. "I do not exaggerate anything.”
"Don't pretend you're all so innocent baby. We all know you're over dramatic about everything. As for her symptoms... I better be the one to tell you, since rios not the one to admit what's really going on." He pulled himself into a sitting position with a huff ignoring the irate look on the younger drakeins face. "Burning smells make her sick, she can hardly keep anything down, don't even get me started on food. Those seems to make things up and down and all over the place. She’s weak and she’s growing tired all the time. And I’m not sure if you’ve noticed the blizzard outside. That’s caused by her. Something isn’t right. And don’t deny it Rio.”
Twitching Erionda glanced from her Drakein to Kilian and back to Junjie. Everyone was ganging up on her! She would be fine in a couple days, she was sure of it. Just because she had a momentary lapse of weakness and had asked Uassae to find Junjie didn’t mean she was on her death bed, she didn’t even have one foot in the grave. It was just weird she was experiencing things she never had before. “Maybe it’s just something Hybrids get.” Erionda shrugged staggering slightly before moving to sit down.
“I don’t really think there is much else to say.” Erionda folded her arms across her chest with a pout her bottom lip trembled slightly. No she wasn’t sick they were all ganging up on her now.
“And she has mood swings.” Lanzecki interjected, recoiling as Erionda shot him an icy stare. “See… she’s moody.”

Junjie took a mental tally of all of the symptoms, nodding as they were listed by Uassae, glad that he was letting him know since Rio said that it was nothing more then them over exaggerating. It was good to know that they would at least share the details of what was going on since he would be unable to help her otherwise. The oddest symptom of them had to be the fact that she had caused a blizzard... or at least that she had made it worse. Aisko seemed to be the home of the blizzards so he wasn't sure which it was exactly. Her powers were, perhaps, going wonky on her? What if it was as she'd say, a sickness that a hybrid got? The best thing to do then was see if he could help her through a healing spell, yes? A good step one.
"Alright, how about we start with a basic sort healing session? I think that it would help if nothing else to maybe take an edge off of your symptoms." He said, debating for a moment with himself. She was both Dovaa and Orderite, just as he was, so he felt that either college of magic would work well on her... but there was also Kilian to account for. He couldn't very well go slinging about Aeduan magic here, even if it was just healing magic, because it might have a negative effect upon an Oblivionite. Best that he stuck with Ysali magic, if nothing else at least he didn't have to worry about having a problem conjuring up his healing spells in the same way he did his plant summoning spells. He lifted one hand gathering his a glimmering green magic into his palm before he held it out to Rio, hand outspread, making slow back and forth motions before her, allowing the power to feed into her slowly. He didn't want to rush this else he might trigger a response they didn't want.
His hand was sweeping back and forth for a moment before there was suddenly something odd that caught his attention, something that made the healer freeze in place, before his eyes went wide. There was a moment that he just stood there stock still, trying to place where he'd felt this particular feeling before, and when it clicked his eyes were flickering back and forth between Rio and Kilian, his cheeks darkening a bit, "O-Oh... oh! I... see." He said, it shouldn't surprise him but at the same time he couldn't help but to get a bit flustered by what he'd found. At least it would explain everything in a 'not dying of an unknown disease' sort of way now wouldn't it? That was a definite plus.

Kilian watched Junjie as he ran his hands the length of Erionda’s body. He froze, when the hybrid froze, eyes going wide at the exclamation. “Junjie...what is it? Is she going to be alright?” Kilian’s words were jumbled and quick. He wanted answers and quick. He needed answers. “What do you see Jumjie?” The longer the hybrid paused the more Kilian became agitated. If he knew what was ailing Rio, Kilian wished that he would just spit it out already.
Kilian’s gaze searched the ysali hybrid’s face, searching for any clues that might tell him...anything. His gaze traveled down to where his hand stopped, right above Erionda’s stomach. His brows pinched together. That didn’t tell him much, they all knew her stomach was upset. His gaze jerked back to Junjie’s face, eyes widening yet again at the look on his face. “Junjie...is she…” He couldn’t finish the question as he looked up at Rio’s face, shoulders sagging out of relief as it dawned on him. He knew what was wrong with her. “Rio.” Her name came out on a whisper.

Muscles tightened as Junjie moved about her she wasn't sure she wanted to be so deeply examined. Glaring at her traitorous Drakein Erionda ground her teeth. Trying not to react to the strange shift in the tension around her. The silence was driving her into a anxious shiver and she hated being anxious, she hated it when secrets passed between two people and left her out of it. As if she were a child that needed her ears covered while others spoke.
When Junjie paused Eriondas eyes flashed towards the mage. Had he found what was wrong with her? If so then why was he hesitating? What was he waiting for!? What was the pause really necessary for anything? Growling threateningly at the men on either side of her she caught the strange look on Junjie’s face as he looked between her and Kilian. Narrowing her eyes she looked at Kilian thinking he was probably mouthing something to Junjie. He too held a strange look on his face. This wasn’t helping matters at all. Reaching out she gripped Kilian’s hand trying to mentally tell him she was very on edge with the current situation.
Glaring at Kilian as if he had come to the same conclusion as her Ysali friend her mismatched eyes darted back to the male hybrid. If they weren’t going to spit out whatever it was, she was going to smack their heads together until they told her. Maybe it was a mistake to bring Junjie here after all, this was only making her mood worse!
“Am I what!?” Erionda snapped and turned to level Kilian with a menacing glower. “Someone better tell me what’s going on soon or I’m going to be smashing some heads together.”
Uassae chuckled in the corner as he too seemed to come to the realization of what was causing Rio’s unease. “You might want to hide for a bit Kilian. I don’t think if her temper gets any higher that even the house will stand against her ice.” He chuckled more as if he meant to take his own advice and headed for the front door. “I’ll see you guys out in the barn. I’m not sticking around for the aftermath on this one. She will blame you for it Kilian, mark my words. I have seen how this little story plays out before.”
Lanzecki, taking Uassae’s advice said nothing as he quietly slipped out behind the large Aeduan. The actions of the Drakein only seemed to fuel the Aiskala hybrids rapidly growing irritation. “I DARE you to tell me.” She snarled as small tendrils of ice seemed to seep into the corners of the room the company sat in.
Her name spoken from Kilians lips were pressing on the last threads of her sanity. “What!? I’m waiting. Clearly I’m not going to be dying, by the look on your face, so you better just spit it out Kilian.”

The Ysali hybrid turned his attention to Kilian, giving the Oblivionite a nod of his head, "Oh, yes, sorry. She will be fine though there is a lot that she is going to have to do from now on to make it all easier on her, many things that you and the Drakein will have to help with as well." The more hands helping out the easier things would be for Rio or so he felt. He knew that the process was one that could be exhausting if his mother's patients were any indication and the list of symptoms that they had, that Rio very well could have herself, was quite extensive. He had to admit that he was so happy to figure out that it was a happy thing, not a dangerous disease but if he had to guess it was most certainly a surprise. He could only hope that it was a good surprise.
At Kilian's half question he gave a smile and a nod, glad that the Oblivionite seemed to understand, the problem being that it would seem that Erionda did not. He starred at her for a moment before he gave a laugh, ever amused at her spunk. She certainly wasn't one to take anything laying down, was she? Even going as far as to threaten the both of them to get the answers that she wanted them to cough up, "Well you see..." He trailed off a moment when Uassae suddenly announced that Kilian might want to hide for a bit, that her temper might take the house down even it would seem, and then he was leaving. Off to the barn it would seem, "Ahhh, Abellio, Arjan, how about you go with Uassae?" He suggested, just in case she really did blow her top. Not something that he wanted to risk his Drakein getting caught up with though he was sure that he'd be fine himself. Nothing to worry about.
Turning to look over at Kilian once more he asked, "Do you want to tell her? It's more your place then mine in this instance." It was their good news, he was merely the healer in this instance, one that delivered said news to Kilian and he could then in turn give it to Rio, "Unless you want to follow Uassae's lead?" He'd leave it up to Kilian to decide.

“I...what? Me? You want me to tell her?” Kilian blinked, a little surprised, as he looked back to Junjie. Was the healer serious? Shouldn’t that be news that came from someone like him and not Kilian? His gaze shot back to Erionda as he mulled over what to do, how to tell her. “I’m not leaving Junjie. Never.” He only hesitated slightly as he reached out for Erionda’s hand.
His heart both beat with joy and nervousness. Kilian wondered how Rio would react. Squeezing her hand, he took a deep breath, letting his lids close. Gathering up the courage he opened them back up. “Erionda...you’re…” his words trailed off as his heart skipped a beat.
“You’re pregnant.”
