Yeah, I wore the shirt during the shows that night, and got it covered in ******** mud. So I'm chilling, waiting for the smoke party (s**t didn't happen) and abk finally shows up like six hours late. we smoked with him, and I got him to sign the shirt.

You got to love Psychopathic. Their idea of 'on time' is within the same 24-hour period. At the gathering last year, if they said a show was going to start at 6, you had to wait 3 hours after 9 for it to start.
I don't know if that's how it was this year, but I can't imagine it being any different.

The first two days shows were anywhere between 2 and 4 hours behind. Dark Lotus didn't get on until like midnight. Last two days were almost perfect.

That's not too terribly bad. The thing about things running behind at the Gathering, is if the s**t you want to see is running behind, and the other s**t you want to see isn't. You're going to miss out on something.

Athough, I didn't have a watch, nor a schedule that year so I pretty much just went where ever I saw a huge gathering (haha, puns) of people.

It upset me that I didn't get to go this year, I was really looking forward to the Rydas. Which, they were supposed to have an after-party show after one of the American Psycho shows, and they cancelled it. After everybody who was going, showed up at the venue. My disappointment was rather tangible.

Yeah, there were lots of things canceled this year. But it only seems to run better each year. Tech n9ne even cancled his signing because he was working on welcome to strangeland. And a ton of people walked off stage again.

I hate it when people walk of stage. Sure, we're not the easiest crowd to get along with, but we have one general rule. Entertain us, or don't show up in the first place. If you can't handle s**t being thrown at you because you can't put on a good set, try harder. Don't cry like a girl and leave.

I've seen Mono and Madrox get pelted with s**t before, they never missed a beat in their set, because they're ******** excellent performers, who live by "The show must go on"

I love Tech, I'm upset that I haven't seen him on any psychopathic tours this year. He always puts on a great show, and he always knows how to get the crowd hype.

Exactly, some of the walk offs blew my mind. King Gordy, Hopsin, Juvinile, Ice cube walked off for a few minutes when his mic died.

But yeah, trash war is expected. Hell, Charlie Sheen was catching s**t and throwing at back at the crowd.

Yeah, but Tech has his own label to think of too. And when you put an album of such quality together in such a short time, you know he must work his a** off. His set got almost more people than ICP.

King Gordy walked off? I find that hard to believe. I don't particurally listen to him, but he's one of the last people I'd expect to leave.

The Sheen was the person I wanted to see most this year. I have a dream, and that dream is to party with him, one time.

I have heard that over the past couple of years, a large crowd at the Gathering only goes to see him.

Yeah, some dickhead threw a rock and almost hit him, so he walked off like five songs into his set.

He was out walking thr grounds during his down time, I smoked a huge bowl with him. It's something I'll never forget. For being the famous, he's a really cool guy. I kinda wish he was there the day Lotus played, so he could hear the "we couldn't reach the top we stayed B level like Charlie Sheen" line.

Yeah, there were a lot just there for like tech, twiztid, and icp. If you buy a ticket, at least see as many shows as you can.

My university has a large population of smokers (and by large I mean we're one of the stonier colleges in California) and my freshman year, I was walking out of my German class and a guy from class walks up behind me, pulls out a cigar case, and offers me a blunt to smoke while we walked between classes. It was most excellent. Unfortunately my next class was Calculus, haha.
Lately I've only smoked publicly at barbecues in the park or with a friend walking between classes.

Hahaha those are hilarious! And the ones for the other UC's totally reminds me of the people I knew who went to those colleges (especially UCLA/UCD/UCB). Well I'm glad our reputation precedes us. I figured people would think Humboldt, though.

Pft. No UC there. What's closest... Davis, I think? They probably don't have electricity because the fuse blew from all the lights. 3nodding

And I can definitely say that yes, Riverside looks better in the dark.

Huh now that I think about it, it's kinda interesting that UCD is the UC furthest north. It's still quite a ways away from Oregon. haha poor Riverside. I don't think Merced is even on that list, though.

Another version I saw of the light bulb question had UCR's answer as something like "Eleven - one to change the bulb, ten to figure out how to get high from the fumes." Oh, UCR's supposedly known for its chemistry department... both in the academic world and the rave scene. xd Apparently it's enough to eclipse the fact that the botany department gets just as high. Ratings. High ratings. ninja

That's right, I forgot they opened a new UC... eh, when I say it's from my frosh year at Long Beach, I mean... er... damn. Fourteen years ago. Hell. Moving along... sweatdrop

Also, I've driven up the coast, and I do not remember seeing ANYTHING but trees between San Francisco and Portland. NOTHING. Not even Bigfoot.

Haha that's awesome, I guess I don't feel as bad about Riverside, then. Oh research institutions and their clever science students. Almost everyone I know in the sciences here is hugely into experimental and psychedelic substances. Oh yeah I forgot Merced is pretty new.

Yeah it's pretty much trees up through Canada, I took a road trip up there last year. I'm from NorCal so I'm used to trees everywhere I go.

Love trees, but... hell. I live in the desert. I'm originally from Nebraska. Those trees in NorCal were HUGE. I mean HUGE! eek

(edit)
But they were seriously fun to drive through. Or around. Whatever.
