 Continuance of Memories
Huang watched as the light faded from Kyung’s face before he fell unconscious. His body went limp and was light enough for Huang to pick up and throw over his shoulder, only jangly the poor boy’s body a bit. Huang sighed as he thought of how he looked now, accosting the rude and violent boy and to take him to….well Huang wasn’t sure right now. Obviously he didn’t know where Kyung’s estate and wasn’t sure if he would want to visit either, being it Noble alliance and he would be bring the Noble son home in the state he was in. In other words, it would probably end up with Huang getting severely injured if not mauled. And that wasn’t something he wanted to happen. So instead he would take him to the only place that Huang would be able to tend to him without any real interference, so long as he wasn’t called away on a mission. It just meant sneaking past his mother, no problem.
-----------
“You’re doing WHAT?” Huang shushed the other boy’s voice, Kyung still lay over his shoulder as he looked up to his older brother Xiao, who was standing there with a stern expression and his arms crossed. Though Huang was supposedly to be his brother’s guardian, it seemed more like Xiao was constantly guarding him, and even now he was acting less of a master and more of a concerned father. Xiao gave a peeved glare at Huang and then moved his gaze to Kyung’s lifeless form before shaking his head and closing his eyes. What his brother had brought home, and explained was just a bit much for the older Legionnaire brother could take. His headache was deafening to his little brothers pleas as he thought of a way to put things in retrospect for Huang. But then again, as Xiao studied his brothers pleading eyes, this was the first time that Huang had asked anything of him. While Xiao disapproved of his little brother being an assassin and protecting for himself, he would not dare defy his mother’s orders until he was old enough to take over the family. Even now, with the problem Huang faced, did Xiao dare take the risk for his little brother like Huang was taking the risk for himself? Defiantly. It was the least Xiao could do for his poor brother. Rubbing his hands over his face as he stared at his brother, he turned on his heels.
“Come, we will put him in your chambers for now since mother regularly visits mine.” Xiao sighed as he opened Huang’s doors to his small room. It was offset and hidden from Xiao’s own room, only Huang and Xiao knew where Huang dared to sleep and so even kept their mother in the dark of just where Huang slept. The room was spacious but well hidden; there was a small garden to the side that only Huang had access to and two doors, one leading to Xiao’s rooms and the other to the small garden outside. The only natural light was illuminated by a small window in the top that let moon and sun pour through in a small amount. Huang preferred it this way and when they had designed the room, Huang had told them of the basic layout.
Xiao grabbed a pallet and rugs from his closets and laid them on the floor for Huang to set Kyung down on. He watched as Huang bent down and set the boy gently on the makeshift bed as gently as a mother putting a baby down. It was then that Xiao knew that Huang cared for the boy. Never one to judge, Xiao sighed in relief. Whoever this mysterious boy was, maybe he would be good for Kyung. “I will tell mother that I am not feeling well and that she should avoid our chambers.” Xiao sighed, he hated to tell lies but in this case again, for his little brother and the secret they shared, what was a few white lies now.
Huang sighed as he watched his brother leave and thank the Goddess for his brother indeed. If he could ever make it up to Xiao, he would lay his life down for him. Except that he already was. Huang didn’t know if Xiao realized that between him, his deceased friend Yuan and Jianyu, his current master, they we’re the few he’d ever risk his life over. Even now, as Huang studied the sleeping Kyung, there was another being added to the list regardless of how Kyung felt towards Huang.
Brushing Kyung’s hair out of his face, Huang scooted closer to him and studied the boy’s face. Even now, with the large bruise that covered his face, Kyung was attractive. He had pale skin with dark brows that we’re thin and perfectly arched. He would almost seem mistaken for a female, regardless of the lack of a bosom. Huang cocked his head as he watched Kyung slip from unconsciousness to sleeping; his breathing was deep and relaxed. Though Huang could see that as Kyung shifted, his face tightened with pain. Unable to look at the byproduct of his violence, Huang got up and lit a comforting incense, the smell of orange blossom’s wafted through room as twilight started to dim the room. Huang opened the one door to his garden a bit before coming back to Kyung and throwing a large feathered comforter over the boy, borrowed from his brother like the whole makeshift bed before wandering back to his brother’s chambers. "Sleep well Kyung." Huang bowed his head.
Xiao was sitting in the middle of a large dining like area where a small table was on the floor in the middle. His brother was sitting crisscrossed, his legs tucked under the table as he stared loathingly at the food and drinks in front of him. His gaze was drawn upwards as he looked at Huang and sighed again. “Mother has decided that your guard is not good enough and thus has sent at least a dozen more to patrol the chambers, they will stay outside and only check in if I allow them too.” Xiao sipped the tea with a grimace and sighed again, “And she has sent all this tea and food expecting me to eat it. Regardless of me not being sick, not even a sick man would be able to eat this all!”
“I am sorry Lord Brother.” Huang knelt off to the side of his brother, away from the table with his head bowed respectavtivly. While Xiao was his brother, he was also his master and Huang would not break customs to disrespect him, regardless of whatever Xiao said. He could tell his brother was aggravated by the customary way that Huang sat and even made little sound effects till Huang scooted closer and tucked his legs under the table sitting next to Xiao now
“It is fine.” Xiao shifted uncomfortably as he waited for his brother to speak again, but Huang lay silent, not making a sound as he sat next to him. It was enough to break Xiao’s heart, how Huang was so trained in the rules and regulations of proper protocol that he wouldn’t even talk normally with his own brother. It made Xiao lonely and even more so, it made Xiao think that Huang-Fu was lonelier as well.
“You need sleep brother, go lie down and I will watch our chambers for anything.” Xiao cocked his head. Huang closed his eyes and shook his head. It was not time for him to sleep and though he was exhausted, carrying Kyung back had not been very easy regardless of Huang’s physical abilities and strength. But to leave his brother now would be an abandonment of duties. Even now, regardless of Kyung in the other room, if anything happen to his brother, it would be the end. Xiao sighed so deeply that Huang could feel it reverberate through his whole system.
“I said to go sleep Huang-Fu, that’s an order.” Xiao looked at his brother with a stern glare. Huang eye’s shielded as he looked away from his brother and his mouth set in a frown. To disobey was against his protocols, but to sleep would be against his duties. Huang fully debated between the two before getting up.
“Yes Lord Brother.” Huang said in a monotone voice as he returned to his room and stared at Kyung lying on the pallet. He was half tempted to lie next to the boy but decided against it. To lie down next to him would be inconsiderately rude, and even more so, Kyung would not be pleased at all. Huang sort of smiled as he thought of the look Kyung would give him when he woke in Huang’s rooms.
Making his way to the wall, Huang sat himself down, his legs outstretched as he set his back on the wall, resting against it. His arms crossed in front of him as his head tilted forward and he worked himself into a half sleep state. He would be ready for when Kyung awoke.

Reflections on: Truths on the Otherside of the Tree
Hello Journal,
I am writing this as sit in my home. Kyung is asleep on a makeshift pallet and though I don’t have much time to write in case he wakes, I wish to tell you of the day before I ended up with him here.
It begins with the cherry tree, where we both sat back to back and started chatting. We became interested and comforted into talking to each other. Though we never had seen each other’s faces or knew of each other’s alliance, we had formed a bond.
Today we revealed each other to the other, and to be honest. We were shocked. I, felt shame as we met face to face. The week before I had attacked him, I had thrown a punch into his face and broken nose. If I had known it was him I would’ve held back, I would’ve contained myself. Even so, as I stared at his blossomed bruise over his face, I was nothing if a bit of angry and a whole lot of shamed. Though after we talked again, He forgave me and I felt as if the world melted away to us two. It was love, as I talked to him and I fell harder by the attractiveness that was himself.
And as I said so, Kyung stance had changed instantly. It was as if he had become different. And as I write this, I feel that I must stress that we fought, and we we’re brutal to each other. And on the inside I can’t deny the overwhelming desire I have for him, so deep his my love that I want to possess him in a way that isn’t possible, I want his heart, I want us to talk before we had met, I wish for us to be something more. And now I strive for this to be true. Even now, after our battle, I have come to the conclusion that I will go through and woo him; possibly sway him slowly to a softer side of both of us. It will be hard and already I hear from my brother of the after effects. But I can’t possibly let him go, even now as I stare at his sleeping body, mine is awake with the need to touch him, to sleep next to his side, to cradle him as his eyes open and he stares at me with malice and hate. Anything to keep him staring at me and only me, only to keep him looking at me as if I was something more than the shadow of my brother. He knows of me already, he knows of my family and how I am treated, and I know most of him and how he is treated. We are kindred and different spirits brought together to be together. And if fates and the Goddess allow it, then I too will have somebody to care for and to protect as I do for Jianyu, though it would go even deeper.
And even deeper will my feelings go for him. It is time though as I have written too much and not let myself fall asleep. I must rest as it was an order from my brother.
Good night Journal,
Huang

Solo battle #2
Setting:Huang-Fu is fishing along the river when a group of nobles happen upon them. They aggravate and attack Huang, leaving him hurt to be rescued. ----
Huang snuck out of his home at the beginning of dawn. The air was crisp yet moist with the dew of the night. Cold and brisk, he shrugged the scarf on his neck tighter before huffing in his hands. On his back was all the gear he would need for his morning trip of fishing, on his side was a satchel of supplies in case of anything. He also brought along his claws and the needles that he had formed for his specific style of fighting, while the sun was starting to rise slowly, it didn’t mean the usual fighting of the Lunarians was done. Sometimes the fighting even carried on to the midday of noon.
Sighing as he made it past the gate, He noticed the shadow of his sister’s form and looked behind him. She was dressed fully in her assassin garb, her hands crossed while her face was covered by the mask. The only thing he could see of her was her body’s outline and the color of her eyes, which we’re a pale magenta pink. It was odd to him to see the mysterious sister of his, he barely knew her beside the fact that she carried the same duty that he did. Even now he stared at her like sizing up an enemy, as she did the same.
“Leaving your charge unattended?” Her voice was a deep seductive tone, neither male nor female. It was a trick that assassin’s and spies used to keep their gender hidden, and so that they wouldn’t be identified in later encounters. It was sad to Huang that his sister thought she had to use the trick on him, since he already knew who and what she was, she should just speak normally. Then again, they were trained not to trust anyone ever. Even Huang knew that he was having a hard time keeping his training right. Staring at his sister he snorted before heading over to the gates that led out of their estate.
“I said…You’re leaving your charge unattended…” Xia moved so fast, a short sword pulled from her back as she came at Huang’s back. But this was not the first time that Huang been attacked, especially by his sister.
“I will do what I want during the hours he sleeps Xia.” Huang caught her wrist and flipped her over. She twisted and landed on her feet before glaring at her brother.
“Fine, but if anything happens, remember that it was your duty to remain at his side.” She growled out as she took a step back, sad for her, she knew Huang was stronger and smarter of them two. Even with all the experience she had, she remained the lesser of the two. Her only saving grace was that her father and mother favored her in the missions. Regardless that she almost returned with nothing of use. She also hated Huang for that, while he went fishing at the break of dawn, she was forced to study and make moves on another Noble captain. She had hope for once that Huang would suffer a worst fate then she did a wish of ill omen on his day.
Huang shrugged as he headed on his way, unaware of the malicious intent of his sister’s glare. Hiking the gear higher on his shoulder he took the quickest of the paths through the forest that bordered most of the homes to the large river that cut right across. He could hear in the distance the sounds of the dying battle, lucky for him maybe they would be done by the time he reached the river. It was quiet in the woods as he enjoyed the beaten path that he had walked millions of times before. It wasn’t long before he reached the quieter of the spot he had as he set down his gear and set about preparing the spot for his fishing enjoyment.
As he started to build a fire pit where he could roast his catch for food, he heard the unnatural pattern of twigs and gravel crunching. By the sound he could make out at least four or more people walking a path through the forest to the river. It wasn’t long that they emerged from out of the forest onto his beaten path. Huang unable to see their colors, could tell they we’re adults, a straggling group of fighters. Unfortunate enough for him, they had spotted him instantly.
“Oi, You a Legion scum?” The tallest of the group came forward. He had jet black hair and piercing black eye, one being covered by a large makeshift eye patch. His garb was that of the Noble raiders and instantly Huang felt the bile hate of Nobles in his throat. The group consisted of thee males and one female plus the one that had asked Huang what he was. Even if Huang-Fu was a Legionnaire, he wouldn’t dare attack under the circumstances. He remained quiet as the man came forward, moving closer.
“Did you not hear me boy? Are ye a Legion scum or ye a Noble?” The man growled it out before he took Huang’s shirt in his grip. His one eye searched Huang’s as if to find a weakness in him. Huang remained silent as he stared at the man, his gaze unmanuvering. They knew the rules, to assault a child was against the rules of their battle, and it was beyond frowned upon by both sides, many we’re killed for attacking children regardless of their alliance.
“This one is a Legion scum, that’s why he ain’t answering us.” The man spat out, “He thinks he is too good to deny or accept that he is Legion, or maybe he thought we be stupid and wouldn’t find out eh? Is that what you thought boy?” the other group of the nobles snickered as their leader swung Huang to the ground. His breath caught as he made contact with the hardness of the dirt, he swears he could feel his bones rattle. Glaring, the shoved the man’s arm off him.
“Get away from me you stinking Noble, you rot of your insolence.” Huang spat back out again, his self-preservation forgotten, nobody threw him around against his will.
“Oh you do speak, and with no thought to how we felt.” The man snickered before turning to his band of members, “We got us a little live one, how about we bring his pretty little head to our captain?” The man looked at the group who was wary. The woman of the group came forward first.
“He is but a child, and we are adults, if our captain see’s us killing a child, it’ll be our lives.” She looked at Huang with hate but didn’t make a move towards him, “Let us go and return to our homes, it is almost dawn and our time to fight is over.”
“Hah!” The leader rose quickly, striding to the woman before taking her throat in his hand and lifting her up, “You forget who leads this band Xian, do not forget that even though you are a fighter, you are still a woman and subjected to my will.” He squeezed tighter on her throat. Huang took the moment to regain his own breath before tackling the leader to the ground. The woman dropped gasping for breath as the rest of the group watched Huang and the leader roll on the ground. At the close distance and range of the fight, Huang was unable to pull out his claw and so relied on his newest of weapons. Sliding his hand down to his waist he pulled out the large metal needles he sculpted from the ones he took from the Noble female captain. Forming them to a makeshift claw and slice at the Leader of the group, catching his arm. The leader hissed as his arm bled profusely, only surface wounds. But it seemed to anger him more, and as soon as the other men saw the blood of their leader, they joined the fight.
Huang avoid and took as many punches and kicks as he good, he could feel one hit to his face, hitting him smack in the cheek. Another shot aimed at his stomach.
“Cowards!” Huang shouted as the tag teamed, taking turns beating him, their fury of legionnaires taken out on him. He aimed his needles out, successfully hitting one of the nobles in the arm as he heard the man scream in pain. Grabbing more, he launched them, avoiding their kicks and rapid punches to get one more hit in the Leader’s, his needles dug into the hip of the man as he roared like a wounded animal. It wasn’t long though till Huang’s body tired of the constant beating gave out on him, he collapsed to the ground as they continued their tirade of punches, kicking and whatever else they could do. All Huang could manage was to curl into a ball and take every single ounce of pain and steel himself against it. As he felt the warmth of the sunshine rays, he heard a shout of more people as they came into the forest. Most likely scouts sent out to round up the stragglers like this group now.
Huang heard the man, the Leader of this little band curse before giving Huang one last kick in the stomach, causing Huang to spit up blood.
“Be lucky little Legion dog, next time we meet, I will have your head for my mantle.” The Leader growled as he and his little followers disappeared in the woods.
“Yeah and your little dog too.” Huang spat out blood as he lay on the ground groaning in pain. The next thing he felt was a strangers hand on him, checking for serious injuries.
“Child, we need to get you away from here.” It was a soft male voice as he picked up Huang easily. As he did so, Huang slipped in and out of conciseness, his body ached from the beating.
“Grab his fishing gear there Son, he will want it for when he wakes up.” The man’s voice said sternly but softly before Huang slipped away into the darkness.
----
Huang woke slowly in a strangers home. The bed he laid in was soft, and his body ached as he tried to move. He lifted himself off the bed, looking over his body for any serious injuries and was surprised to see that he was wrapped in bandages all over. His memories of the day came back to him quickly and made him wince with the thought of them. Damn noble stragglers, Huang thought before shaking his head clear. He was tired of constantly being attacked by the other side. He knew now why Kade always said that you shouldn't judge by the sides that Lunarians aligned themselves, to have so much hate. If it wasn't for Jianyu, Huang would sink himself lower into the pit of hate that he use to delve in. But he would not hold all the nobles accountable for those stragglers, hadn't that woman stood up to her leader for Huang? Regardless that he was Legion? It was a lesson learned.
Aching, Huang looked to the side of his bed and noticed his fishing gear packed away nicely. Getting up he went to grab it before giving the room a once over, the bed was dirty with the blood of his injuries and Huang cringed at that. To muss a strangers bed was unfathomable and in thinking that, he grabbed the sheets off it, folding the to leave the bed bare. Not only would he take it home, but he would dispose of the blood filled sheets, in case he was not truly safe.
Reaching in his pocket, he was relieved to find some of his coins still there and set them on the bed, in repentance of sullying and taking their bedding. Bidding the room adieu, he made a quick exit out the window, leaving nothing of himself behind but his coins.

Reflections on: Solo Battle #2 Hello Journal,
I write to you with injuries from a ambushed Noble attack. I had been walking to a fishing spot to serve as a restful day away from missions when a vagabond group of rag tag Nobles happened upon me.
They took pent up frustrations out on me, from something I didn't understand and left me for almost dead in the forest, If not for the people who had saved me, I would not be here today.
I plan to find the group and pay my dues to them soon.

Reflections on: Birds of a Feather
Journal,
I got to see Jianyu after becoming a fighter! We had both reached a higher rank as I became my fighter self and Jianyu became a Captain. One step behind my master, One step ahead of my fellow students. We talked, My master and I of our new statuses and we shared stories of our loves of now.
I was shocked to find out that he was...had dated Bataar of the Nobles and was even more shocked to know that Bataar hurt my master. Well it would just mean that I would kill him when I can.
Sleep is beckoning to me now Journal, I will let you know more in the future if I can.

Reflections on: Brawling with the Clever One!
Journal,
Since I have become a fighter, The world has changed in a weird way. No longer am I the naive young assassin of the Lee's Legions. I had built a reputation in the community of Legionnaires and a air of fear into the nobles. I was finally an adult of the world and seen as such. My missions never let up, nor did my work for the Empire. If anything was to be said, I gained more and more work to be done.
It was by chance though, that the day that I went to the downtown area of Lunaria, I would find myself drawn into the sounds and cheers of a large crowds. It was a street brawling arena, set up so easily in the middle of the ally that it looked like it belonged there. There was even stands set up so that people could look inwards!
It was, as I pushed myself through the crowd, a sight to see indeed. People made bets, were hollering at the fighters in the ring. It was so intense that I found myself caught up in the sheer energy of the event. Somehow or other, I ended up at the front of the crowd and as I peered down at the fighters, I was most pleasently surprised to see the one they called the Little Lotus as the most Prestiged Lady SiMa Li. The last time I had seen the girl was at the Festival, where she had made her debut as one of the most beautifully clad Lunarians of the Legions there. Though I didn't get to meet her formally, we had a small talk there for a moment when she joined Jianyu, Yue and I in our trip for a while.
She had been pleasantly polite as well and so to look down and see her fighting like nothing more then a dirty street kid, it thrilled me. It was an odd feeling to explain but I was hungry for battle. Watching her stirred something inside me. I had never felt the true battle lust in battles, it was ridiculous to assume that he could ever find enjoyment out of battle when the goal was always the same. Kill or be killed.
But what Li did, It astounded him. She beat the fighter like it was nothing and it made me want to challenge her. I got the chance when the old man slapped me on the back and I made myself go into the ring.
We were pleasant enough to each other at first, and I admit that being able to look at her fully now, I was attracted to her. I will not deny that at all, As she was a blossoming beauty of her own and I had a deep respect for anyone that could balance being a warrior on top of being themselves. When we dueled, It was like a close dance.
All I could feel the enjoyment of a challenge from her, It was like she unlocked a hidden play within me that allowed me to view battles in something more then kill or be killed motif. I was having....fun. That's the word. In all I did, I had never really had fun, everything had always been so serious, so stifling serious and dangerous. I was able to take it easy battling her without actually taking it easy. Li was no pushover and for every attack I made, she countered. After our duel, I had gained a new companion and a new respect for the word fun. I had won our battle but given the chance, I don't think I would've a second time.
I will continue to watch for Lady Li, as she stands out to be a influential woman for my life.

 Reflections on: Home Sweet Home
Hello Journal,
This will be a short entry. My family has taken the young Priestess Sarangel into our home for protection. She is a quiet and meek girl, I will do my best to help her though it shouldn't be to hard on top of taking care of Xiao. Tired for tonight as I will be meeting her tomorrow. Hopefully she won't be too troubled staying here.
