{{_______Luska's Journal Entry 03

[[OOC Note: This should have occured a few weeks after Luska's second entry. I ended up losing my muse and going on haitus before I could ever get it done xD]]

Since mommy became sick, Lulu has been busy counting the days. Mommy's shop became really busy several weeks ago. Arren said it was because of Christmas and New Years. But that's been over for a while now. Mommy doesn't cough a lot anymore. She doesn't have a sore throat either so she can talk normally again.

Her nose is still all runny and icky. Eww! So she has to use a lot of tissues. Arren told me mommy kept ten boxes of tissues in her room so she didn't have to bring them with her. Lulu guesses she doesn't like leaving her room all that much when she's sick. But she's been taking her medicine like the doctor told her to, so hopefully, she'll come out and play with Lulu again.

Also, Lulu wants to ask mommy to let Lulu continue working at the bakery because Lulu gets compliments from strangers there everyday! Lulu can do anything! Except making the bread...and cookies....and cakes. Or make coffee. Lulu broke some plates once...but not on purpose! But Lulu swears! Lulu can do anything else!

Arren says Lulu's hair is getting too long. That it's time for a hair cut. She mentioned something like "split ends" and said those weren't pretty at all when Lulu didn't want a hair cut. Not pretty? Lulu doesn't want to be "not pretty"! Mommy can't take me out for a hair cut, but Arren said she'll take Lulu out for a hair cut. Then Arren and Lulu can come back and surprise mommy with something special.

What did Arren mean by that? Lulu wasn't so sure but said "okay" anyway because Arren said "It's time to make you extra pretty!"

First we went to the hair salon in Durem. Lulu wanted to cry a little. Lulu didn't like the fact that the lady was cutting Lulu's hair. Then watching dark blue-ish black hair (Lulu's hair!) fall onto the floor made Lulu cry for real. Especially because there was a man sweeping up all the hair that falls onto the floor and then tossing it out into the trash can. Lulu's hair...is garbage?! Pretty things don't go in the trash!

After the lady was finished with the hair cut, Lulu was mad and upset at Arren for taking Lulu to this place. Lulu wouldn't talk to Arren even if she tried to give me candy or a cute stuffed animal. Finally, with a sigh, Arren dragged Lulu over towards a glittery store.

Lulu admitted the store did look very nice. But Lulu still wouldn't talk to Arren. Instead, Lulu watched as Arren bought something and then took Lulu back home. Finding a hair brush, she made Lulu sat in front of a mirror and began to brush through Lulu's hair. She then began to tie it up into a bun-looking thing with some hair bands. Then Arren took out a pretty looking flowery clip. It was all sparkly and cute and had bells dangling from it! She clipped it onto Lulu's hair bun. Lulu couldn't help but feel a little better...Lulu wasn't mad at Arren anymore...especially because Arren knew what Lulu really liked.

"Let's go show Rein now, okay?" Arren smiled and took Lulu's hand and walked upstairs into Mommy's room. Arren knocked on the door before letting Lulu go in first.

Mommy was in the middle of blowing her nose. But when she heard the door opened, the turned towards Lulu and Arren. "Luska, is that you? You look very pretty today!"

Lulu changed her mind. Lulu is very happy to get that haircut today!

It would be on a Saturday that you open your mail box (if you have one) and notice there is a rather thick envelope stuffed in there. There is no postage stamp and a very vague return address. But you recognize the font and the company's name. 'Seven of Seven Inc' scrawled in majestic font across the upper left hand corner. As you open it, you may strangely find yourself drawn to the letter, there is a mass of notes inside. They read as follows:

Letter
Congratulations! You have managed to succeed in raising your child. (IE: Not killing him or her or getting killed yourself. Haha we kid of course.) We would like an update from you on the following:

Guardians Name:
Child's Name:
Sin:
Virtue:
Gender:
Current Attitude:
Likes:
Dislikes:
Any abnormal growths: (if any, example: Feathers molting, horns growing larger, scars )
Current hair style:
Current clothing preferences:
Dominant celestial trait: (The sin or virtue)

Please summarize in your own words how difficult or easy it was taking care of your child. Did you manage to care for them in a kindly fashion? Or were you forced to discipline them?
As well do not be alarmed if you suddenly find your child achieving a massive growth spurt in the next little while. We are finding that the children from our facility have strange growing patterns and are rather unpredictable. Although please let us know if anything unexpected occurs.

Sincerely the technicians from Seven of Seven Inc.

Ps. Please just leave your letter back in your mail box one you have completed it our courier will pick it up.

Thank you.

You would notice the letter seems overly friendly...strange since the scientist were so ...cold before.

(Just take the from Guardians name to Dominant Celestial trait and pm it to the mule, the summarization doesn't have to be long just have fun with it.)

Preteen. The stage where I feared, and I regret to say that it's finally come. Not that I'm not proud to see Luska grow. It's good to see that as I'm raising a wonderful healthy chil--girl. She isn't a child anymore. She probably wouldn't like it if I still addressed her as such.

Then again, she still favors dolls and tea parties...

And I'm pretty sure she's healthy. I say "pretty sure" because this time, she has a rather...abnormal change going on. What happened to Luska's skin? Part of her face, neck, and arm have suddenly have suddenly changed. It's black and scaly...just like her ears and tail.

Luska is just as confused as I am...and she didn't really handle the change very well at first. She was constantly rubbing or scratching at her arm. "Mommy, Lulu wants to look pretty again! This doesn't look pretty! Lulu isn't pretty anymore!" She cried out frantically. "Lulu....doesn't like this..."

She looked like she was going to cry. But I wasn't sure what I could do except hug her and kept reassuring her how pretty and cute she looked. I didn't think it would do much. But Luska seemed to be comforted by my words. She even stopped hurting herself. There were reddish marks on her skin, but...nothing that will lead to permanent scars.

"Let me buy you some new clothes. You'll look extra pretty when we replace your wardrobe, okay sweetie?" I know I shouldn't spoil her. I tried not to. But since Luska's older now, I'm sure her clothes no longer fit her. It's probably best to replace them all, right?

Also, I find it fun to dress up her up in cute clothing especially since she shares the same taste in clothes as I do.

Anyway, Luska brightened up when she heard we were going shopping. Actually, right now I kind of wondered if she merely did that whole thing as an act to get me to take her out shopping.

......and it's starting to sound like a very good theory since she's acting all happy and go-lucky....

Augh, that brat....

Welcome to Carnival Crazy
An argument occurs between Luska and Rein. Upset and angry, Luska runs into the carnival that Rein refused to step foot in, causing the woman to chase after her.

Upon getting lost inside the hall of mirrors, Luska meets a friend she hasn't seen in so long; Cody.

She was doing it again. Her sharp nails were biting into the gray-ish black scales on her forearm. It was painful, but she didn't stop her attack on her own arm. Maybe, just maybe, if she scratched hard enough, the scales would fall off and her arm would be back to normal. Her nails had grown longer so they dug in deeper. Luska winced at the sharp pain and paused momentarily.

"O-ow..." came a breathy cry of pain. And soon enough, she was back to hurting herself again. It wasn't like the girl was masochistic or anything. She hated this new change in her. Why was it happening and why was it so sudden? Who knows what else could happen to her appearance.

Looking pretty was what Luska wanted. She didn't feel that way right now. Sure, she had put up a really good front the other day in front of her guardian. Luska hadn't expected Rein to walk in on her while she was furiously rubbing and scratching away at her arm. She didn't want the woman to worry and the thought of shopping eased her mind a little.

But did that really stop her from worrying about the changes in her body? No, not quite.

But Rein had gone out to pick up some food. So she didn't have to worry about the woman walking in on her for the moment. Plus, she secluded herself in her room. The door was locked for added security.

"Lulu doesn't want this. Go back to normal. Go back to normal..." The girl mutters to herself as if it were her special mantra. "C'mon...." She lets out a hiss when her arm began to bleed. But it didn't seem like there was going to be any sort of change in her scaly arm. That fair complexion she had on her normal arm was no longer there. It was just scales. Dark colored scales. It was spreading. It was on her face and her neck....Would it spread to her legs? What stomach? No, no, no!

The front door of their house opened, startling the distressed girl. Did Rein come back home already? She could hear the woman calling her name and walking up the stairs..

Uh oh. The door may be locked but that didn't mean that Rein still couldn't come in. She had a spare key for her door after all. It was an invasion of Luska's privacy, but Rein claimed that it was for emergency uses. Although anything of the sort has yet to actually occur.

But...Luska hadn't been prepared for Rein's return! Her arm was still bleeding a little. And to make matters worse, it had gotten on her white carpet. In a state of panic, Luska grabbed one of her stuffed bunnies and cleaned up the mess on the carpet, not realizing the carpet was already pretty much stained and ruined. Not only that, she was making a bigger mess.

"Luska, are you in there?" The door knob was twisting this way and that. But Luska didn't give much of a reply. She gave a panicked squeak and tossed the rabbit plush into the far corner. Gripping her arm, she quickly raced to her bed and threw the covers over her.

The woman on the other side of the door grew impatient. "I'm going in!" Rein warned before unlocking the door and stepping inside. "What were you doing in here?"

The preteen stayed hidden under the covers. "D-don't feel well...." She attempted to fake a few coughs. But even Luska heard how fake those sound. "G-go away. Mommy will catch Lulu's cold..."

Rein frowned as she surveyed the room. Nothing was out of the ordinary. Her room was semi-messy. There were some stray plush toys on the floor...parts of her tea set were all over the place...drops of red color that gave off a metallic-coppery smell on the carpet leading to the bed...Nope. Nothing out of the ordinary! Wait.

Rein immediately marched over towards Luska bed and grabbed at the covers. "Luska! Let go!" She demanded and tugged harder but was met with resistance. One more forceful yank sent the woman stumbling back a little, but she quickly regain her balance. "Luska, you're hurting yourself again?!"

Luska quickly covered her arm and curled up into a fetal-like position. She didn't know how to reply so she opt to stay silent, biting her lip and avoiding eye contact.

She was severely punished that day and Rein even removed the locks to her room in case something like this were to happen again. Actually, it would happen again. This wasn't something that Luska could easily get over in a day or even a few weeks.

Her self confidence had definitely been shot....

{{_______Rein's Journal Entry 04

Augh...ouch. My fingers hurt a lot. Seems like Luska isn't the only one that's self mutilating herself...Although when I pricked my fingers with the needle, it wasn't exactly intentional. I have to keep my eyes on Luska 24/7 now after that last event. Usually, it was always Luska's choice to stick by my side at all times. But recently, she's been avoiding it and tends to lock herself in her room.

this is what normal preteens do right? They lock themselves up in their own room because they are tired of their parents always looking after them? Wow, that kind of hurts me on the inside.

But Luska never did act her age. She still cries a lot. She still likes to play with dolls and have tea parties. So I was a little worried when she began to seclude herself in her room. And I was right to be worried.

When I barged in, she was clawing away at her arm again. Like before...only it was more serious this time. And she even tried to hide it too. So...I took away the locks to her door. Of course, Luska was unhappy about it and it did seem a little drastic since I possessed an extra key to her room too.

In any case, Luska can't hole herself up in her own room anymore. Not only that, I'm with her 24/7 whether she likes that or not. Even in the bathroom.

Well...on the other side of the bathroom. I still have to give her that much privacy at least. But I do check up on her once every five minutes. Just to be sure. Perhaps I should uninstall the locks to the bathroom too. There aren't any men around the house...so it's okay. I think.

Scratch that, Aaren wouldn't be too happy about it either.

But yes, I've become a paranoid parent. I haven't really done much to help her ease her distress besides keeping a close eye on her. But I'd thought I'd make her a gift and hope that she would definitely like it.

Luska really adored rabbits, although I never allowed her to get a pet. I didn't think she would be very good at taking care of it no matter how much she promised me she would.

And she really liked pink. A fabric which I don't have laying around the house. So I kind of used the fabric from the clothes that Luska could no longer wear. I doubt she would mind...Whatever she doesn't know won't hurt her. I hope.

In any case, I found some white fabric, cotton, and thread and needle. Not sure why I have these around. I don't know how to sew but I tried anyway. In the end, I made a bunny plush doll for her.

As expected, it didn't come out perfect. The head is too big and flops to the side. And there are quite a few loose threads which I attempted to hide... A poor attempt I might add. Like I mentioned, I don't know how to sew...but I tried anyway. And my fingers suffered from it. My efforts didn't seem to go wasted either.

Luska seemed to have brighten up when she saw the bunny and even named it Hannah. But I think she did laugh at the way it looked. Well...if it made her happy, then Hannah served it's purpose. [I'm going to assume the bunny is a girl since Lulu named it Hannah. Although I wouldn't question Lulu if she made Hannah a boy bunny and gave it a female name. I have a very open mind...]
