Hotaru started to wake up on her spot on the couch buried under throw pillows. She yawned and got up, rubbing her eyes then tried to moved off of the couch but her foot had got stuck in a spring between the cushions. "Hm?" she blinked then stood on the couch and started trying to pull her foot free. After a few yanks, her foot came free but she lost her balance and fall on her back, on the floor with a thud. "Mmmm.." she sat up and rubbed the back of her head. She was still a little sleepy despite the fall.

A pulse. Like two wires generating a spark or a bolt of lightning splitting a tree. In the exact same manner, Keno's free eye shot open, a look of total surprise on his face. Squeezing it back shut, he peered through slowly, allowing his eye to slowly adjust. It must have been a few days if he could barely see.
Rising out of bed, his right arm grabbed his head, still fuzzy from inaction, but not so much as to impair him from feeling the pain in his sides. His ribs had healed a bit, but without his command, the Mineral had only done minimal work. Taking this into consideration he rose slowly our of bed and stretched widely, his arms feeling like cold rubber.
Wait. What's that smell? It didn't smell like him. It didn't smell like Ichi. Actually, it smelled like a certain mage he was familiar with. Her and a lot of paper; old and new, printed and some scripts. It was a library apparently, but he didn't care too much. He was leaving.
Back down in the bar, he was sitting at the counter, masking the pain he was still feeling from his ribs, and his no longer sore arm now. It wouldn't break anymore, but it would still hurt to move. He'd have to try to take it easy for a while. Knowing this, he sat there solemnly, trying to clear his mind.

::The elevator came to life and began to move up it's shaft to the ninth floor. A few moments later it came down bringing the person who called it to the main floor of the club; Unks.
The saiya-jin boyed exited the elevator and the doors closed behind him wtih a soft hiss. He felt an energy level at the bar, but didn't know who it belonged too. He would get to know this new person another time, for now he wanted to get some air.
He moved to the front doors of the club and opened them slowly. He was hit by the cool night air on his sleeveless shirt and kept walking. The doors closed behind him as he moved out into the dark night. His sword on his back, as he walked his boots made soft thuds::
"Wow what a beautiful night tonight."

Hotaru looked towards the Saiya- jin a** he entered the bar and waved to him a little, simply as a friendly gesture. She stood up and stretched then walked into the bar area to see if there was anyone around. Spotting Keno, she smiled then ran to his side, climbing onto the stool next to his. “Hey Tao Tao.”

"You look like you got hit by Star Destroyer at lightspeed," Said Valin Lobel to KenoTao popping up from the bar like nobody's business. He was in one of those moods again - silly, odd, unprofessional. His clothes reflected this, he was dressed down again in his standard space-pirate/smuggler attire. His machine hand whirred lightly as the metallic, skeletal-like fingers cusped a alcohol bottle of unknown origin. The liquid was green.
"I'm not sure what it is. It's from back home - my galaxy. No label. No nothing. Got it from some aliens I saved back in the day, yeah? They didn't have much to give me - just jewels, gold, rare gems, women - and this," He held up the drink, quite proud of the choice apparently, "Seemed like a good idea at the time."
He poured the liquid - which smelled sweetlike - into a cup, "Drink?"

Sensing the little one approaching, he put on his 'I'm okay' mask and awaited her approach. Her loving words kicked him into life instantly as a smile and a beautiful sunset glistened in his exposed left eye. He reached out and grabbed Hotaru under her arms and lifted her into the air, catching her as she fell.
"Well hello there little one! Has my little firefly been behaving herself?" The voice was animated, the body lively, but the msucles and bones sore and each laugh hurt him inside, but he didn't care. Ninja or not, Hotaru was still a child and she didn't need to be introduced to his world just yet. She'd just worry about him and as cute as that would be, he enjoyed laughing with her too much.
Turning to Valin, he offered another smile, nodding in polite denial of the drink. He rarely drank as it was and when he did, it wasn't with children around. Just a morality chip on his shoulder and nothing more.
"Well I'm certain I got hit by something, but whatever you mentioned couldn't have been it. I don't think we have those on Earth." Smiling passively he continued. "And how have you been. You took quite a fall yes?"

::The Saiya-Jin's senses picked up now having felt Keno's and Valin's energy levels in the club. A smile came to his face to show he was happy they were both ok. It seems Keno must of enjoyed his nap in Pith's room. Another soft sigh escapped his lips as he moved further from the club slowly.
As he entered the woods around the Orion he looked up at the night sky and smiled looking at the stars. Of course doing this made him think of the times he and his wife spent on the roof of the Orion tower just star gazing, and him using ki to make fireworks of sorts. That didn't seem like a bad idea to him right now.
He lifted off the ground and flew to the tower. When he arrived he leaned against the building his head leaning back as he looked up at the gleaming stars and his smile never left his face::
"Sometimes I wish life could be as peaceful as a star's. You flicker in the sky without a care in the world until it's your time to burn out."

Hotaru smiled and laughed as he threw her into the air as one of his standard greetings for her now. His mask fooled the child into thinking he was just fine. “Yep! I’ve been really good TaoTao! How about you?” she replied with that cheerful smile of hers plastered on her face. She gave him a light hug around the neck when she was close enough then took his hat, putting it on her own head. She still had the hat that he had given her but it was back in Konoha.

Valin chuckled, taking a sip of the very sweet drink then putting the cap back on the bottle as he said, "Uh, yeah I did. Wasn't expecting them to be so... resistant to mental probes. I thought 'All brawn, no brain'. No - not quite. I underestimated my enemy which is the most stupid mistake of them all."
He sighed but grinned, "Next time I be a bit rougher and better prepared. Won't let them get a chance to resist my attacks."

A portal appeared on the stool farthest from the door. A black swirling mass was all that could be seen for about ten seconds. Suddenly it began to take shape first small legs covered in dress pants up to a belt that held two sheaths, swords manifested themselves with in them, a black ruby-encrusted hilt along with its brother a golden saphire encrusted hilt. Next came a black curiass with two somewhat muscular tanned ams ending in black gloves, finally the head appeared, a pointed sage-like face, topped with long purple hair. Yenek Vakgahna had returned.
Yenek turned his head "Hello there Hotaru, having fun?" he asked.

"Hey hey," he said giggling at the young one. "Didn't I give you your own hat?" he tickled her as he said this, cradling her in his right arm. Completely overlooking her question about whether he had been good or not, he did not answer.
Turning back to Valin for a moment he continued with their conversation. "You weren't the only one to be careless. My fuzzy memory tells me that only that one man I don't know was able to get some sort of damaging attack in. Everything else either missed or was ultimately harmless." Seeing Yenek come in as he said this, he motioned with his head in the devil's direction. "Him over there."
Returning his attention to Hotaru, he turned the tiny child to face Valin. "Have you met this adorable bundle of joy? Her name is Hotaru and she's a certified six year old ninja. Hotaru, say hello to mister Valin. He comes from a different world far far away from Earth."

Hotaru looked towards Yenek then smiled at him and nodded. "Hi Yenek! I'm having lots of fun." she replied. She started giggling as Keno tickled her. “I’m gonna give it back!” she said as she squirmed a little to avoid his tickling, she blinked with a confused expression on her face as she was suddenly held to face Valin. “Hi Valeen! I’m Hotaru.” she said, her smiled coming back before she greeted him.

::Unks continued to look at the night sky as clouds blew by in the soft breeze that moved across his skin. He closed his eyes for a moment and then reopened them. As he did he lifted his right hand into the air and began to connect to stars lazily with his fingers.
It seemed another person joined the crowd and this time it was Yenek another fighter from a few nights back who seemed like he too recovered. He knew he was fine and Pith joined in as the battle ended as did Deity, but Jade's wound must still be healing. He got his mind off the night before and continued to trace the stars::

Yenek looked over to the man who indicated him, he rubbed the back of his head.
"I really had no idea what I was up against, some giant who isn't slow and uses a form of magic I can't control, it was odd." he said with a smile "Any idea what that energy he threw at me was?" he asked.
He noted that next time he saw the behemoth he would actualy try and fight instead of simply trying to immobilize the b*****d.
