Welcome
Shadows is a guild consisting of a variety of people. We do not discriminate on the basis of race or RP style so long as you are original, imaginative, and fun. When characters meet, relationships are forged, alliances are built, rivalries are born, and new stories are written. Not just one story, but many stories, from an endless spectra of perspectives. We are who we are - upon ourselves we attempt to improve over time, not just our characters, but our role-playing.
This guild is private access only, but we are open to accepting anyone so long as they follow the rules and adhere to the guidelines as will be listed below.
General Rules for Roleplay and OOC:
i. All members must follow the ToS
ii. When it comes to the crew, their word is law. Ours is not an unruly crowd, but if something goes down, obey them under all circumstances. Any problems with them should come directly to me.
iii. Members must consistently produce literate posts at the minimum length of two paragraphs, which in turn are a minimum of three sentences.
iv. We do not generally quote one another whether IC or OOC, but in such circumstances, a three quote maximum is strictly enforced.
v. Roleplay events do not follow real time. That means that one day in character could equal several days in real life, be aware of the passage of time as you roleplay.
vi. The Shadows universe is situated geographically on Earth as we know it.
vii. As of July of 2007, only dedicated posters of the guild will remain members. No offense to all of my friends out there, but I will no longer be showing favoritism if you do not participate. Bear in mind that cannot and do not are still different in my book.
Joining
When applying to Shadows, submit an RP sample and nothing more. We do not want to know why you think this guild is so cool or how the name makes you feel when you say it. Rest assured, we want to get to know you, but first and foremost we must be sure that you are literate enough and dedicated enough to be a part of this guild. All decent applicants will then be screened by me or one of my crew to ensure they are truly Shadows material. This screening will likely be nothing more than a private RP no longer than a few posts between the two. Bear in mind that the events of the screening have nothing to do with the Shadows storyline.
Be forewarned however that if you decide to join Shadows, you will be expected to devote at least part of your time on Gaia roleplaying with us. If you only want to join because it sounds cool, find some other guild to add to your list.
