Richard Bell--with a +1 stakeRichard had been very willing to follow Ignacio into the maze to avoid the spiders, but the spiders seemed to have a different idea. They had followed the two of them into the maze and Richard swiped at them with the metal stake in his hand. It did basically nothing to the spider he was trying to fend off. Well, it pissed off the spider he was trying to fend off, anyway. It hissed sharply, spattering Richard with acidic froth that sizzled and ate at his clothing. With Ignacio holding one of his hands, the other holding the stake alternatively swiped at the spider and brushed frantically at his clothing. The spider reared back and brought down its two forelegs down onto Richard, pulling him away from Ignacio and shoving him to the ground. Richard gave a wordless shout, trying to jam the stake up at the fangs and mandibles. He was rewarded for his trouble with the spider lunging down towards him. He shouted again and tried to scramble back and away. For a moment, he thought he made it, before he felt a fang sink into the back of his calf. Ripping his leg away and feeling blood course down his leg and soak his sock, Richard also felt the world start spinning as he tried to get back to Ignacio. His body was starting to flash hot and cold, and the grass under him began to twist and warp. To his horror, he looked down to see the ground resembling the hide of the giant beasts pursuing them. Swallowing the bile in his throat, he grasped for Ignacio and looked frantically for a way out.

Ignacio Araya - +1 metal stake s**t, it was following them. s**t, s**t, s**t, s**t. He felt something fizz on his skin and hissed at the sensation, whipping around to find Richard helplessly attempting to fend off the spider with his stake. It didn't seem very effective, and Ignacio felt his heart slamming in his chest. If he had known this would happen, he would have never brought Richard out here. Not that he could necessarily stop Richard from doing anything, but he wouldn't have encouraged him to come, at least. This monster s**t was Ignacio's business; it definitely wasn't where Richard belonged, Richard didn't have the convenience of ionization powers or being able to jump very far and run unordinarily fast or really any other magical ability. Even that teleportation nonsense the Negaverse seemed to be able to do would have been useful right now. He saw the fangs sink into Richard's leg and he hissed, moving in front of Richard as he stumbled forward and moving to whack the spider with his stake. It was enough to daze the spider for the moment, and he attempted to swat at Ignacio, but it wasn't particularly successful. Thankfully, the burn on his hand was annoying enough--his skin was reddening there. "Arra!" The burn didn't really matter, in the end--Ignacio scooped his arm around Richard's shoulders to keep him upright and started getting away from the spider while it still had figurative chirping birds swirling around its head.

Miles Fury
He was busily using his lighter and some of the gathered webbing to try and set the botanical gardens on fire when one of the massive hellbeasts found him and tried to stomp his curly head in.
Not good times.
Miles managed to escape being monster mashed only by shoving himself through part of the hedges, coming out the other side and scrambling deeper before the goddamn spider realized what had happened and came crawling over to feed.

Pandora Sagan
Once again, she took a few hits in order to try and interact more closely with the spiders unsuccessfully. There were many people having various levels of success with the spiders - getting away from them, getting them to back the hell off, being mauled by them.
She still didn't think they should just try killing them or whatever, but how often did scared sheep listen to reason?
Never.

Rayna Farrell - as Wednesday AddamsJust knowing that she could still feel nauseated was a big plus in Rayna's mind at the moment. Although it still put her at a big disadvantage. Pain continued to radiate from her right shoulder and also her side but stubbornness would not let her lie down and accept defeat. With all the energy she had left she wrenched the fabric of her dress away from the spider's leg that was pinning her left side down, wincing as the dress was further destroyed. She could not sit up until her right side was freed as well. The thought that her entire outfit might not last the night had her pushing against the spider's abdomen with limited success. It was surprising to see a rock come flying out of nowhere to strike the spider near its eyes. The sudden hissing noise returned and Rayna felt the fangs exit her side and in that moment knew that at least someone had heard her. Groaning softly she felt the tear in her side throb and she weakly tried to kick out at the underbelly of the beast. That plus another rock crashing into its body had the effect Rayna had been waiting for. The final leg pinning her down had been lifted and although excruciating pain was playing havoc with her thought process the teen attempted to scoot back just a little bit, putting a scant few yards between the enemy and herself. Reaching down and clamping her left hand over the wound in her side Rayna found her voice, "Don't think it's good idea yet. World is kinda getting a bit loopy."And it was true even as she tried to prop herself up a little bit she could swear she felt the ground shift under her body, getting ready to swallow her up. Looking for visual stimuli didn't help her either as her rescuer suddenly appeared to grow ten feet tall. "don't ever wanna leave my house again."

Lauri Virtainen - +1 stake acquired While they were having their little spat, a spider came wandering over to harass them. Lauri narrowed his eyes as Archer threw a fit about a little public humiliation that no one present would understand, that he had taken pains to calculate as a risk that would add flavor for his ingrate of a dog. So when Archer let go of his hair, he whipped his stake out and bashed a spider in the face before addressing the snarling mutt before him. Lauri's free hand tangled in the thick fabric of Archer's costume, hauling him in close "Our agreement is I give you what you need and I don't dishonour you when in uniform." Releasing Archer in favor of striking yet another spider limb he arched a brow, "If you want to renegotiate our terms, do it when there are not giant spiders." He did catch sight of some familiar faces, but was a bit...distracted.

Jack Burnett (dressed as Disney's Peter Pan) has a metal stake (+1 to a roll of 6)
Funny how they get all quiet and have to resort to looks when I'm in the way, Jack mused, observing the looks Rowan passed Elex. What a bunch of frivolous, formal rich kids. Even in the face of danger, they have to concern themselves with appearances and being discreet. His grin broadened. Well, if they're going to be too polite to tell me to get lost, I may as well stick around.
Rowan's calls to Trey seemed to do little and Jack was about to go over to the other male himself to do something about the situation directly. Before he could, however, several of the nightmares scaled the hedges and appeared to surround them. The one that faced Jack looked to be somewhat dazed, so he took advantage and darted forward to leap onto its cephalothorax.
Since Jack had obtained a pet tarantula of his own the previous year, he had learned a thing or two about them and he wanted to test to see if that knowledge applied to the monsters they had before them now. From the cephalothorax, he figured the creature would have found it a challenge to run him through with one of those spindly legs or spit its nasty toxin on him. He was just congratulating himself on his personal victory when the sound of his name reminded him he wasn't just there for himself.
Huh...so he heard me after all, the redhead discovered, astonished. It was weird how much pleasure he derived just from hearing Elex called it, but Jack imagined that was because he had thought he'd been ignored up until then. Surely if Trey or Rowan had used it, his reaction would have been the same. Whatever the case, he couldn't ignore the call for help, much to his chagrin. Even if it was Elex ordering him to assist Rowan, whom Jack determined didn't approve of him.
"Bossy as ever, I see," he grumbled mostly to himself, incapacitating the spider he perched atop with his stake. "But...since this is kinda urgent, I guess I can let let it slide this time..."
Though Rowan called out for Elex and Trey, Jack hopped off his own creature and leapt toward the six-foot young man who had somehow managed to allow his spider to climb atop him. He kept thinking of what kind of face the costumed vampire would make if he was saved by some lower-class citizen and that mental image spurred him on. His thoughts turned grim, however, when Rowan cried out and he saw the damage that both its spit and bites had caused.
Jack followed Elex's example and stabbed his own stake into another of the arachnid's eyes. Then he swung out a leg to try in an attempt to kick as hard as he could at its leg joints, endeavoring to snap the legs or at least knock its feet out from under it.kolina ((Hahaha, he's great! It's cool. XD))

Archer Wren - stake acquired
He cared so little about the damned spiders that it was almost entertaining to kill them, and to watch everyone else lose their minds over it. They were a negligible threat, something that Archer could have done without quite easily; he was, at present, more concerned about his damned Finn being a jackass.
Or rather, being himself.
Fingers closed in the front of Archer's coat and yanked him up, none too gently. Archer reacted predictably to this, but outwardly and inwardly, the steady red flush across his cheeks giving away too much, a growl escaping his throat. Hands came up and gripped ahold of Lauri's wrist, fingers digging in.
"I haven't forgotten that, you son of a b***h," Archer hissed. "And I don't give a flying ******** about the ******** spiders."
He sincerely hoped that Lauri did, just for leverage. Archer gave a snarl as he was let go, body clambering for violence and a lot more, his heartbeat quicker than it should have been. He sucked in a sharp breath as his eyes found a familiar face in the crowd, Archer's teeth clenching together.
"Look," he said, with a jerk of his head. "Company."
He didn't mean the spiders.

Basil Whybourne
He gave a nod of acknowledgement; running back into the building did seem a bad idea at this point, but Basil's attention was on Lysander's arm, which was still bleeding freely. He gently, methodically tugged at the fabric, then skimmed fingers over the dampness; they came away red, and his frown deepened.
"It's not fine, you need bandages," said Basil, concern on his face, ignoring his own leg for the sake of Lysander. He glanced up at the other, giving a slow nod.
"Where is an arachnid free zone?"

Adrien Davids
Adrien tried - mostly in vain - to calm his mind from the thousands of thoughts that were threatening to burst through it. He wasn't good at actually managing this; and while he did in fact take medication for his condition, he didn't have it with him at the moment, and besides, it was supposed to be a daily thing, not as needed.
He gripped ahold of Yuuri's hand and smiled down at him.
"Don't worry, sweetheart, it'll be fine," said Adrien reassuringly. He swung a fist at the nearest spider and tried not to squeal as it came too close, leaping backwards and dragging Yuuri with him. "These are pretty disgusting, though, I'm starting to wish we'd just, you know, stayed in and watched a movie and had some of those snacks I talked about."

Kirra - 8
If you roll an 8-10 you find yourself face to face with spider. It has climbed over the hedges and dropped down right in front of you; the spider seems to be distracted, perhaps with something in the distance or someone else. Either way, it’s to your advantage; you can easily get in a few strikes on the spider before it can turn to attack you. You have the most luck fighting a spider; you have the ability to find all of its weak points and it recoils every time you hit it. You will need to watch out for flailing limbs and flying spit (which can burn through clothes or agitate skin) but you might just make it out of here in one piece! If you choose to take more damage, please refer to the prompt for rolling 1-3 for full information on damage options.
Gigi - 3
If you roll a 1-3 you find yourself face to face with spider. It has climbed over the hedges and dropped down right in front of you; it hisses loudly and makes a noise that can make your ears ring. Frothy spit flies from its mouth; if it comes in contact with your clothes it will burn them, but if it comes in contact with your face it will only agitate it. The spider has the advantage here and may swipe at you with its long legs, attempt to skewer you with its pointed limbs, or attempt to bite you (if you are bitten, you will sustain nausea, hallucinations, fatigue, and vomiting) for a short period of time after this RP. You can choose how much damage you take, but with a roll like this, you’re going to wind up at least a little manhandled!

Lauri Virtainen +1 stake It was difficult to not flash teeth at the way that Archer's body responded to being handled; he had helped to make him this way, helped to push Archer's boundaries and comfort levels and make him own up to some personally distressing habits. "Ah." The spiders still didn't seem to care much about their 'discussion', the stray limb or glob of webbing from another engagement the most action they saw once the first two had been dispatched. "I see, you're angry I can't care for you properly now. Apologies." It was Kat, with Kian. She was using her heels as weapons while her...date? had her back - good for them. An effective team. Lauri put a hand to the small of Archer's back and dug his fingers in, "Deal with the spiders, koira. You will get your reward."

Toby Yates* (Dressed like Elf Kirito) (has +1 Metal Stake) "Ah crap," Toby muttered, seeing that the girl wasn't gonna be able to get up, and now there was another pissed off ginormous spider looking at him. It was a staring match for all of three seconds, and then it moved like it was going to resume doing...whatever it was doing to the girl. "Oh no you don't!" he breathed, and abruptly lunged forward, stabbing his stake at the thing. It recoiled away as soon as the point started to push in, although a wad of the burning, stinging spit ended up splashing onto his arm, making him wince as it caused most of his sleeve from the elbow down to slough off, and burned at his skin. Luckily not nearly so devastating to skin as fabric... He seized the moment, though, and dropped down to wrap an arm around the girl. "Hang on," he grunted, using one arm wrapped up under the girl's armpit, the other occupied with holding his spike toward the spider, to discourage it from coming closer. He wasn't sure if it was smart enough to think about that, but if it did, he would be ready to stab the thing again.

Lysander Cadwell"Honestly? Probably nowhere." He managed, barely, not to wince when Basil's fingers brushed over the scrape on his arm. It wasn't bleeding badly and he figured it would stop soon enough. "But if we keep going we might find something." Either somewhere that the spiders weren't or somewhere they could hide. He reached up and flicked a bit of hair out of Basil's face. "I'm fine, really. It'll stop bleeding in a bit and I can deal with it once all of this," He waved a hand at the general mess around them. "is over with." Catching Basil's hand he smiled before tugging him further into the maze.

Michi (Dressed as a butterfly) Michiko was terrified but she was also angry she stopped to take off her fairy wings, it wasn't much of a weapon but she started using it to hit at the spiders. Then she hurried to catch up with Toby and she said. "Yea I know this is horrifying, but we can't give up." She said softly to the person that Toby was holding up. Michi was small but she did her best to get under their other shoulder to help get them out of this mess. Still holding her ruined fairy wings to hit at the hissing spiders to keep them as far away from their small moving group as she could manage. "Umm I'm Michiko." Michi said to the person they were trying to help, she thought maybe she could distract them from their pain, sickness, and fear by talking.
