Age: 24
Birthday: March 15th, 1993
Sign: Pisces
Gemstone: Aquamarine
Blood Type: A+
Fav. Food: Eggs

School: Richard is attending DCU to earn his MBA.
Hobbies: Reading - He prefers mystery novels and has a truly impressive collection of Sherlock Holmes stories, but is open to just about any genre. It's his dream one day to have an absolutely gigantic armchair in which to lie back and toss himself into some of his favourite stories. When he has some downtime at home, he likes to pull one out and divert his attention to that for a while, and he usually has a book on him for any downtime at school or at his mother's studio.
Dance - Richard has been dancing since he was a kid, the youngest child of a mother who owns a dance studio. In fact, he's earning his MBA in preparation for taking over her studio when she retires and has been helping her teach dance as her assistant since he was sixteen or so, as well as dancing semi-competitively. He prefers latin-style dancing and is quite frankly terrible at waltzes. That's not to say he can't be convinced to try one, but he does much better with quick tempos.
Running - There is something very peaceful about a run to nowhere in particular, and something soothing about regular footfalls on the ground under him. Richard tries to go on a run at least once daily, either to warm up and wake up in the morning, or to wear himself down before bed.
Virtues: Well, Actually... -- he usually manages to stay tactful for the most part, but he can be counted on to give his honest opinion when asked for it. This has occasionally come back and bit him, but he does realise that's an issue more with the person and not with himself. However, he will sometimes try to use his honesty as a stonewall if he's nervous about how someone will take it or if he can't see any way to soften something they might object to--"You don't want to know". However, it can be trusted that any support or enthusiasm he gives someone is genuine. He's not blowing smoke, he really does like that dress on you. And, hey, wait, you dropped your wallet!
It'll be Fiiiine! -- what's the worst that could happen? Richard tries to see the sunny side of things whenever he can. Things can always be worse, and attempts to argue with him will bring out his creativity as he describes increasingly ridiculous alternatives. Sure, your date stood you up, but! At least they let you know now that they're a flake before things got more serious? And of course you're nervous about that presentation--it's natural!--but it'll be okay. It's not like the professor is an alien, right?
Well, Hey There! -- Richard genuinely likes other people and being around them. Maybe it's because of practically growing up in his mother's dance studio, but Richard doesn't have any problem going up to people, offering help if he sees it might be needed, etc.. He's generally pretty easy going around other people and does his best to keep an eye out to be respectful and make sure he doesn't run afoul of any one else's boundaries. It's important to him that people are comfortable around him.
Flaws: Oh, Okay, Sure -- Richard has the sense to see through ridiculous lies, and no he doesn't believe in the Illuminati. However, craft a convincing story and keep it consistent, and he usually won't see a reason to question it. Sure, he has ten bucks to give you for food, and it sucks that your wallet was stolen
again! This can be quite detrimental when put in a new situation; generally, if he doesn't understand what's going on, he'll likely buy the first reasonable story presented to him
Y'know What, Forget This -- He tries to meet people halfway, he really does, and he's not unfamiliar with compromise. But if the agreement or situation isn't something he can find any kernel of satisfaction in, he'll just up and leave, or drop it. The other person(s) might get a notice of some kind, but often they won't. Group project not working out? He'll be the one to go to the professor and let them know and ask if he can be moved to another group. It can make him seem flaky, but as far as he sees it, he gave it a shot and now it's time to move on. Sometimes he can give himself a reason to stay on--he promised this important thing, this is someone he really likes, that sort of thing--but he'll be miserable the whole time.
No, No, I'm Almost Done -- Richard has a tendency to get his teeth into a project and then not. let. it. go. until he's worked it out. He needs to work on a routine for a competition, or a new unit his mother wants the studio to teach? He will keep doing this until he thinks he has it, getting irritable and often snappish if someone tries to break his hyperfocusing to remind him that he should maybe, y'know, eat or something. If he has issues grasping the subject, whether for school or the studio, he gets frustrated and even more irritable and snappish, seemingly not realising he's being an a**. Does he feel bad if someone points it out? Well, of course... after he's finished with the issue commanding so much of his attention in the first place.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Eyes: Narrow, blue with bits of green.
Hair: On the red side of auburn. When loose, it falls to his knees in the kind of thick waves that tell you it'd be a mass of tight curls if he kept it shorter. He normally keeps it braided to keep it out of his way. He doesn't have defined bangs--those are as long as everything else.
Face: Medium-dark olive skin, an oval-shaped face with a bit of an aquiline nose.
Clothes: Loose, comfortable clothing that won't snag on anything in a range of neutrals and cool colours with the occasional pop of a brighter or warmer colour for contrast.
