School/Occupation: In an attempt to understand what she needs to know, she is attending Sovereign Heights Prep School.
Hobbies:
"What are these Sounds?" - Music - She can't play music, no, but the sounds that Earth music makes fascinate her. She can jam her feet into the ground and listen to vibrations (drum-and-bass is great for this!), she can tilt her head in variant directions to have different interpretations, and it's just so generally fascinating. Play music for her and she'll probably be entranced by the magic for hours on end.
"Nice and Toasty..." - Sunbathing - She's a lizard and she knows it. Rafyelle wants to be warm and the sun is very warm. It's easy to find her out in the sun somewhere, out near the reservoir, out in the park on a blanket, on someone's porch, just laying out in the sun and soaking up the warmth and the light. During colder months with less sun, she gets pouty, but it is easy to find her then wrapped up in blankets, sweaters, and slippers, with a UV lamp nearby.
"Fresh Vegetables are the Best." - Horticulture - Rafyelle very quickly learned what grows well in this area of the world, and decided to try her best to make sure she could grow it. Her horticulturist adventures are mostly wrapped within urban farming, wishing to give her quick and easy access to vegetables without needing to pay someone for what should be free use. Without needing to pay for something she used to find so easily. It's not a large garden for space reasons, but she has recently learned some vegetables grow best in colder months and she'd like to try those out!
Virtues:
"What's This?!" - Enthusiastic - To say Rafyelle is meeting this new chance at life with gusto would not be an exaggeration. They want to know. They want to see it all. They want to experience everything this place has to offer, especially after so long of having nothing to experience but unreal heat myths. It's certainly possible this front is burying a trauma within, but it doesn't necessarily matter. She'd rather live in and float within everything the Earth offers. Got something to introduce her to?
"Gotta Figure This Out!" - Persistent - Perhaps it was a requirement of living as long as she has, beating the odds of what was in front of her, but Rafyelle is nothing if not persistent. Once she has a goal, she will reach it, she promises that. If she accepts a task, whether self-imposed or otherwise, she will complete that task. It's hard to throw her off completing whatever she sets her mind to, resulting in her getting what she wants out of what she does fairly often.
"What Do You See?" - Imaginative - Part of why she likes music so much is that there are so many things to do with it, so many things that can be communicated with it, so many things that can be pulled out of it and played with and mutated. Her mind was already open due to her experiences, but being on Earth has opened her mind to a whole new suite of possibilities for what she can think about. There are animals she's never seen, the clouds make strange shapes here, and the stories are numerous. She contributes and melds into it and expands her own mind through it.
Flaws:
"Sounds Fake." - Compartmentalizes - Rafyelle will shove aside anything she doesn't want to think about like a champ. If she is not attempting to engage with a situation, she pretends it doesn't exist. Did chaos infest her world? Does it look like she is engaging with that right now? She's trying to watch a movie, did they see what happened to that character? It means it can seem like she's living two separate lives, and it also means she doesn't deal with stuff she probably should because she's too busy putting it in a hidden black box.
"I Will Set You Aflame." - Vindictive - Make her think about the thing she doesn't want to think about? Get ready for the rage of ten thousand suns. Rafyelle will make it very clear that she remembers that, hates that, and hates whoever did it. Her general desire for revenge when it slips out of its compartment is deep and unreasonable, and she will charge after whatever she needs to charge without sleep or measure. Humans are persistent predators. She promises she can be worse.
"Steak is Gross, Actually." - Opinionated - Does it exist? Once they've found out about it, they've developed an opinion on it. It doesn't matter if they barely know anything about it beyond its shape, they already know it's a piece of garbage that should never be touched again. Perhaps they should chill out a bit, but they need to make it clear that this particular food that these carnivores eat is absolutely rancid and this is why--

Face: Their face is generally oval with some scales peppered throughout. They have small ears with no backing cartilage and a frill atop their head.

Body Type: Her body build is best described as narrow and slender, with proportionally long legs. She has no curves, and her body form is relatively straight and rectangular. She's short, standing at an outstanding 4'10".
Clothes: She tends to grab children's and juniors sizing because it best compensates for her build. Consequently, she wears many graphic tees, things with goofy sayings, and sneakers that light up when she walks! (She appreciates this aspect.)o3

Homeostasis resists change to the natural state. For her basic attack, she gives her allies a boost that works to keep them at their current baseline, and not disrupt it any further. First stage attacks that may have damaged their allies are neutralized, second stage attacks are halved, and third are thirded, and they seem better able to fight back as they will not take significant damage for the duration of her magic. They are able to continue taking hits and dealing hits on their enemies despite attempts to damage them. Fourth stage magic remains unaffected.
Uses: 3 uses per battle
Duration: 30 seconds
Range: 5ft radius
Super Sailor Attack: "Reset."

Homeostasis asks that everything stay in its natural condition, stable with resistance to change or anything unusual. When Thestias calls upon her magic, she summons an effect around her in a fifteen-foot radius. This effect brings everyone back to a neutral -- pain eases back and small to moderate injuries may stitch themselves up. Any stressors on them will ease back. This effect can even include things that cause this pain, disabling all magic and weapons within the radius. In return, though, all magic is disabled, including positive magic that isn’t healing. Buffs are neutralized to the baseline. Fourth stage magic remains unaffected.

Physical Features:
Smooth Scales - Those dots on their face, their shoulders, throughout their body? They're not just freckles. They're smooth scaling much like a lizard's! These do not offer any tactical advantage and just feel interesting compared to the feel of human skin.
Frills - There's no hair on her body at all. What is on the top of her head is folded skin with cartilage within that can allow it to fan out. This skin is relatively thin and closely mirrors the color of her orange markings, and can flux in a similar manner. Also like her markings, any usage of her frills was for displays within her species. Now it might just flare upwards if she's surprised--
Insectivore - Her species originally evolved from a species that was not a meat-eater, and while she can eat like an omnivore, it is not her native tendency. On her homeworld, she and her species' primary diet was insects. Her body is built for it, too. She has a longer tongue to capture insects, and she can capture these smaller things easily. On Earth, she'll have to adapt, or she'll spend a lot of time saying those insect candies are rather tasty, actually, and why doesn't this place sell more of them...
Orange Pigmentation - Spots on her skin have a naturally occurring pigmentation, especially along her head, on the paws of her hands, and on the paws of her feet. Outside of her species, it offers no advantage, but it is pretty! Within her species, it was used for signaling displays, and she can still flux it to become more or less intense to communicate these even if Earthans do not understand the meaning. These signals used to glow on her homeworld, but they required ingestion of a certain plant that grew there that she has no access to with the slow death of her planet.
Horizontal Pupils - Her species evolved from a prey species, resulting in her eyes being oriented the way a prey species may. Her pupils are horizontal and behave much like a frog's or goat's may. This means she would have a wider periphery to the sides, but a narrowed periphery above and below, effectively canceling any advantage that a wider field of vision might bring.
Hearing - Her species had a different way of communication. Her ears are built differently than a human's, with poorer directional hearing as its primary disadvantage. She can't quite hear the same pitches as well. If someone is speaking to her, especially if they're not in front of her, they may want to speak up!
Backstory/History:
It was a mistake.
Perhaps her people should have noticed something was wrong when the usual heat seemed a bit warmer than it should have been. Her people evolved from a cold-blooded species, though, and even if things were not the same now they had always preferred heat. It went unnoticed, it went celebrated, and her people thought they were thriving in their new reality.
It was a bit odd there was no one to celebrate with them, but still, they persisted.
When they noticed some of the insects and plants that they relied on didn't like the increased heat, they started asking questions. They worried that their push into the future, based on what they had observed, might have been damaging their ecosystem. They worried about how to reverse it. They panicked when the shallowest rivers and ponds started drying up.
It stopped raining.
Rafyelle noticed it when it seemed like her people were aging beyond her. When her siblings did. When they passed. When her nieces and nephews did, too. When her people, who were heat inclined, started laying in near-empty pools and passing out from heat exhaustion they never quite woke back up from.
When the mirages that haunted the planet seemed to be getting a bit ... too real.
More plants died. More bugs died. Bigger creatures died.
Her people died.
The heat seemed to succeed in its purpose, or perhaps Rafyelle had just adjusted to it. To her, it doesn't seem so hot anymore. She just saw mirages everywhere she looked, and there wasn't even an oasis in sight for refuge. She could take shelter in buildings with solar power, huddling with technology that barely worked, and food sources that barely counted as sustenance.
For the last few centuries, time has been a repetitive blur for Rafyelle. They can't quite tell you when it began or when it ended; it all feels the same, and they hate it.
The power she felt was a calling to see if there was anything else.o5
