Deus Ex Machina Mission Report Form

Status of mission: Failure. Not much was gained and much was lost on this mission. Several weapons tablets were retrieved from Hunters who had been consumed. Upon arriving at the scene an immense dust vortex was sucking us left and right into the creature's mouth. Hereafter the creature will be referred to as a 'Sarlacc'. At first some of us were pulled in but the rest shortly joined pulling us into what I believe was the creature's stomach. Many bugs that I have learned only later were of a Famine nature, as this Sarlacc was a Titan, lived within. Assistant Mark was able to pull us all from inside the Sarlacc's stomach with the mission's only success.
Unfortunately myself and several others had to be 'cleansed' in the words of Lead Caelius in order to remove the Famine creatures hiding beneath our skin. It resulted in at least a dozen Hunters in the infirmary requiring round-the-clock care and morphine in order to keep from constant screaming. Having been burnt I can say that the recovery time was a week for my skin to fully heal but there are a few lingering effects in the new skin's elasticity being not quite correct.

I did a spar with a full hunter using the same type of weapon and I learned a lot, I think it's an effective way of training.

Commendation: Jordan Sensei, I mean Mr. Jordan Miller is a good teacher material. He explains things in details but clear for a trainee like me to understand, he is patient with me and taught me basic combat skills I need to know. His demonstration of how to swing the hammer was easy to follow and he pinpointed how I can improve shows that he has good observation. He is really good. He also makes good decision and implements at the right time, he checked with my shield from time to time and healed me with decent amount. Do I mention his defense is not bad too? And - yes his attack surely proofed himself to be a quality Sun hunter, he broke the head of the dummy with just one hit and it burned into ash shortly. So cool!

Status of mission: Failure I guess......
We were supposed to dispatch the remaining titans (that what I was told from the text message) but when we arrived, the situation was unfavourable for us. We got out from the portal near a quicksand and all of us were dragged down to votex, and an unknown creature with a bloody month of only sharp pointed teeth can be seen at the bottom. All of us got swallowed by it at last, I could see some unlucky one got torn into pieces, but my guess is the creature existed for quite a long time already, judging from the rusty blood color and the deterioration of the corpses and skeletons.
We ended up falling into a chamber, but it's too dark to look at the surrounding, it was full of a disgusting rotten smell and I could feel the throbbing, the ground I stepped on was fleshy and soft which increased my inference of we were in an organ that resembled our stomach, but no gastric acid presented, so I doubted at the same time. Anyway, I retrieved two ropes and a tin of bandages and after the mission I heard from other hunters that joined it that they found some weapon tablets, which I believed were belongings of previous hunters, but I am afraid they are.....Also, there were one or two hunters found flashlights, and when they switch it on for a short time, there were yelling and screaming as the ceiling were full of millipedes and I could make out that the walls were in fleshy red texture. A hunter who was with me was bitten by one of those bugs, and he went suddenly numb for a while, not suggested to approach if seen.
We didn't find a way out until Uncle Mark (This part was striked a few times) Mr. Mark, the Death Assistant came to rescue with loads of grenades. Please don't blame him on handing untrained hunters dangerous weapons like that, it was of urgency. He saved all of us out. We escaped by bursting a big hole on the creature (later confirmed to be a titan)'s teeth.
We, especially the trainee were suspected for famine contamination and were quarantined, I was one of the hunters got separated and circled up by runic daggers, the Sahara cleanup unit treated me like some dangerous feral animal which worried me. What followed was unexpected, everything of the tent was burnt into a blue flame, it was like everything being put into a heated oven, skins melted and sizzling were heard with a meat roasting smell. It was appalling but at the same time relieving to see those bugs getting off from our bodies before I blacked out.
It was impressive how fast we healed, only a week and I was fully recovered from the severe burn.
Additional points of extreme importance:
- It was a mystery how we got infected: I didn't get bit, so it maybe through skin contact or inhalation, which may suggest later mission to this region require protective clothing and mask.
- Please don't punish our Death Assistant, he's our hero, he saved us from being bug puppets
- Famine was having some conspiracies over the deserts: After-talk with others showed that Famine Clan had a tradition of using other living things as nests, it is believed that the famine bugs co-existed with the titans, making the titan clearance missions more difficult and dangerous, please consider to inform hunters that will take the mission onward.
- It is observed that trainees lack training over dealing with environment like desert, suggest opening up less fatal area for trainees to go under supervision of one to two senior.
- As a trainee, I feel the inadequacy and experiences for trainees to join dangerous missions like that, it would be nice if we were in team and each had an experienced hunter to lead, that will rise the success level greatly.
- Teamwork is suggested if mission has to be carried out in Sahara desert.

The Death Assistant Mark played an important role in saving all the hunters out the mouth of the titan, minimized the casualty to nearly zero.

Status of mission: Success? Kind of? We bagged a horseman. It was awesome. It's hot as balls in the desert though.
Additional points of extreme importance: Nora was naked upon return, passed out- not really sure why, ask her. I just carried her back. Jason got some weird green s**t under his skin- it's being looked at rn by a lifer. Did I mention we got an awesome horseman? I better get paid.
Commendations or warnings: Jason's got that s**t under his arms. I don't think it's dangerous, but it definitely needs to be looked at. Uhhh other than that, be wary of ponies. They're still dicks.

Status of mission: Success, we patrolled the Sahara and brought back a horsemen. Also found a underground temple. It was horrible. Nora was also subjected to underground body part attacks numerous times.
Additional points of extreme importance: The underground temple contained strange flower vines that seeped into a cut I had. I felt very ill afterwards, saw things and felt paranoid (more then usual). The vines were visible under my skin and the eventual flowers that bloomed were visible too. I suggest not going down there.

Status of mission: Failure. Was intercepted by the Hunter known as "Taym". Interception lead to a battle and the death of a teenage girl.
Additional points of extreme importance: Investigation of Wesmor Community High School in Saskatchewan Canada lead me to the distribution of what appears to be FEAR candies to human civilians. They had adverse affects on those who consumed them. Upon investigation, I was lead directly to the source of said distribution: The Hunter known as "Taym". A battle broke out once he was confronted about it, and he showed no remorse or recognition in the process. He is the cause of death for one Holly Kett, a student of the school, who had come across our battle.
Commendations or warnings: I consider Taym to be highly dangerous, and should be avoided off-island as much as possible. I also request he be put under supervision, or to be held accountable for his actions.

Status of mission: Success...? I'm not certain. Noemi, Shu, and I were sent to a former hunter base to survey and we found it abandoned. We searched everywhere and eventually found all the missing hunters. They were all deceased and their weapon tablets were still there as well.
Additional points of extreme importance: I'm not certain of the cause of their deaths. Upon finding their bodies I see red eyes in the woods and the next thing I knew we were all feeling enraged and attacked each other. Maybe that happened to everyone as well?
Commendations or warnings: I don't know what caused those awful feelings that caused Hunters to turn on one another. People should be aware!

Status of mission:
The creature, some strange amalgamation of tree and man and octopus and monster, was successfully destroyed through the group efforts and, in fact, surprisingly competent teamwork of myself, Thompson, and Shu. I say surprising due to previous personality clashes with Thompson, and certain trepidations based solely on biases founded on Shu's small size and polite stature. In truth, Thompson seems to be a strong team player and Shu can swing her weapon in a way that would make any linebacker or pro proud, even if sometimes it backfires on her.
I admit to personally being uncomfortable with the vehicles given to us, or really, any vehicle more involved than a bicycle. This is my own inexperience, and I would eventually like to ask after some kind of driving lessons, in case I have to handle something a bit more difficult in the future. If there's someone in particular I should ask, direction is appreciated, but otherwise I'll just ask around. Something to do on leave, for sure.
I would say, however, that the area we explored was strange, and might required further investigations. Previous occupants were missing and may be in need of aid.
