"What's wrong?" he asked quietly, head tilting when he noticed the red-tinge to the boy's eyes-- had he been crying. "It's a, uh, long story..." Huey admitted before, with a sigh, he began to explain to his pokemon just how he'd managed to become separated from his father. "Forgive me, Huey." The boy looked up in surprise Tybalt's words, his eyes widening when he saw that the Gallade was now even bowing. "I should've been there to protect you," he explained, eyes trained firmly on the ground. "O-oh, no! It's fine, I promise!" Huey tried to assure his pokemon, embarrassment flooding over him. With some encouragement the boy was able to get the other to straighten back into a standing position, and afterwards he exhaled softly.
"So.. that's it, basically. I need to find the rest of my family." Tybalt nodded before he looked around, eyes flickering from one unfamiliar face to the next. "And you'd like my help to do that?" he assumed, pulling his gaze away to place back onto his trainer. "Yes. You've met them before, remember? Sebastian had a smile on his face, though it slowly faded from his face as Jay set out with his puns. At first, he sort of just blank faced, but as the cowboy continued into his fire based puns, the other man’s expression visibly changed to one of… not so amused. Even though Jay couldn’t see his face, the unnecessarily eerie silence that invaded the air for those few moments of silence in-between talking should’ve probably been a hint that something was up. Sebastian just stared at Jay hard before taking a sharp breath and recomposing himself. He was… not a fan of puns. Jay quirked an eyebrow at the long silence that followed. He either didn't pick up on, or wasn't especially fazed, by the eerie atmosphere that bled in with it. "Yeeewwww alright Sebs?" he asked, smiling curiously. Yeah... yeah he definitely wasn't picking up on his friend's disdain for his puns. That, or he was, and he was actually amused by it. But gosh, how heartless would that be? At least he wasn't totally blowing it off and trying to make light of it by making even more puns. Which was... almost a temptation. Apparently when Jay caught pun fever, he really ran with it until he ran out....
Standing up to find the prize booth, Jay ran a hand along his jaw. "Ah dunno. Ain't sure if yer pok'dex shows ya them options're not. Perty sure most starters have two possible abilities, though," he remarked. At least, he thought they did. He wasn't completely certain, however. "Ah'd assume so, but ah ain't sure. Maybe we could ask thuh prize booth person 'bout that, too?" he suggested. They ought to know quite a bit about items and all, given it was their job to hand them out. And they should probably know how to answer curious trainer's questions and assist them in making their decisions.
Jay's brow furrowed upon Sebastian elaborating on Spade's condition. He... he didn't know that.... "Enough ta convince his trainer ta what?" he demanded, frowning. It seemed to dawn on him a second later, though, and he flinched a bit, mouth opening in a brief shift to disgust. "... Oh." He paused, then reached up, pressing his fingers to his temples. "Hell. Ahm... sorry, Sebs," he muttered. That must have been pretty rough to experience, finding Spade like that, nursing him back to health and... everything. He shook his head some, then rolled his shoulders back. "Anyway... Yeah, ah think it'd certainly help 'em get stronger 'n such, at least," he agreed, adjusting his bag and keeping his other hand on Scy's shoulder. He really.... hoped so, at least...

With Tybalt leading the way the group began to make their way through the kitchen area, eyes kept peeled for Huey's family. Despite the addition of Tybalt Huey wasn't so naïve as to believe that they'd find his family immediately, even though Tybalt had met his family before it'd been several months ago and so he didn't expect him to immediately be able to sense them; not to mention, there was quite the crowd, which would only make things difficult. At one point the group passed a rather odd scene, one that caused the young blonde to stop in his tracks and look out at. Huey found himself scowling when he saw two Plasma grunts essentially intimidating two kids, around his age, and from what he could tell were trying to steal their pokemon; just like they'd tried to do with him.
Huey puffed out his cheeks, enraged, and with his hands curling into fists immediately changed directions to begin marching over to the two grunts, much to the surprise of the rest of his pokemon. "Leave them alone!" he shouted, instantly gaining the attention of the grunts. One scoffed and rolled his eyes, originally afraid that they'd be confronted by an adult he relaxed when he saw it was just a child. "Beat it, kid," the man dismissed and then nudged his partner so that he could look on at the 'child playing hero'. Huey shook his head fiercely. "No! Leave them alone, you thieves!" The grunt 'tch'ed and grit his teeth, prepared to offer a retort, only to flinch when he saw Yuki and Tybalt come up from behind Huey, both bearing rather frightening expressions. "Fine then, kid, you asked for this," the man grumbled and pulled out a pokeball, elbowing his companion to follow suit. "I'll show you what happens when you go meddling in adult's business!"

In the some moment he released Dianna, the flames on his starter's body flaring out as she was sent out into battle. Although she didn't know the details, she did know she was needed to fight-- and she was more than happy to lend a hand.

Huey, with bits of anger still intermixed within his visage, called Yuki back after she'd dispatched the Sunflora and sent in her place Prim. Though the battle had been lengthy, though that could have just been because he'd been battling two people at once, it'd turned out heavily in their favor. For example, the boy watched as, after shooting off a devastating attack, Prim was all but struck down to the ground with a hardened claw. It took the Floette a moment to recover, a headache already beginning to form near the back of her head, but soon the flower had floated back up and sent out another Energy Ball, extra large for the Kingler's 'troubles, directly into the crab's face, knocking it several feet back and unconscious. Though it was a rather odd time to do as much, Huey felt himself smile, just a bit, his pokemon were growing stronger, and it showed.

Sebastian didn’t respond to Jay’s inquiry if he was alright. Less out of rudeness but more so out of a bit of concern that the man might start up again on the puns. If there was anything that Sebastian had come to notice, it was that when you mentioned that you weren’t quite a fan of puns people tended to keep making them. And while there was no telling if Jay was one of those types who would be guilty of such an action, he wanted to avoid it nonetheless.

Sebastian did quirk an eyebrow as Jay immediately demanded to know exactly ‘what’ he’d meant concerning Spade’s original trainer, a bit of a frown crossing his face as he glanced back. He noticed the flinch and look though as Jay caught on, rather relieved that he didn’t exactly have to go and explain. Not that he minded really but… it was a bit of a dower topic. "Sorry for what? It’s fine." Sebastian remarked with a bit of a chipper tone. Sure it wasn’t the… best of circumstances, but that was something that he’d come to learn to deal with. It was far better an outcome after all than most the things he’d dealt with in life. He did grin a bit though and nod once more as they arrived at the prize booth area once more, fishing out the egg incubator to make room as he gathered up all the tokens in his and his pokemon’s possession. "Stronger is always good."
”How can I help you sir?” An attendant at the booth inquired as Sebastian started placing his token bucket on the counter. He gave her a smile, gesturing to the bucket. "I was actually looking to turn these in for that herbal remedy treatment for a pokemon?" The woman beamed him a smile and nodded, the psychic pokemon with her setting about sorting and counting the tokens Sebastian had offered up. ”Of course, my lord. Let me just see…,” She remarked as the pokemon counted. Soon it finished and the woman smiled at him again. ”Were you looking for a single remedy? Or two?” Sebastian blinked. Weren’t those things expensive? "Two…?" The woman nodded, gesturing to the coins again. ”You’ve enough here for two if you like, my lord. It is entirely up to you.” Hm…
Sebastian took a step back, looking thoughtfully at his pokemon. He definitely wanted the remedy for Spade, if only to help. Was there anyone else who could benefit? Actually… maybe Gin? She was a tough one too and heavens knew, she’d taken more than her fair share of punches in the battles he’d done. Maybe something refreshing like this would benefit her as well. Maybe she’d figure out walking faster too. That was a plus.

Simply hand that to the attendant at the tent nearby along with the pokemon and they’ll take care of the rest.” Sebastian nodded, returning the leftover tokens to his bag before taking the tickets in one hand and the egg in the other and offering a smile and little bow. "Thank you, I appreciate it." He replied, stepping back and glancing back at Jay again before starting off for the tent. "It doesn’t take very long to do this, does it?" He inquired of the cowboy, fiddling around to try and free up an arm so he could fish out the pairs pokeballs. Jay had already done this with Koda after all, he was kind of curious.

Jay frowned some when Sebastian didn't respond to his question. Well.... alright then. That was ambiguous. He supposed he'd just have to try and ask him about it later. He didn't like not knowing what had just happened, and he couldn't exactly get a read from Sebastian this way, so.... But that would be later. For now he was just going to tag along with Sebastian and wait while he got his pokemon fixed up. Hopefully Spade would be better after the herbal treatment, like Koda had been. Hell, 'better' might have even been an understatement for Koda.
He followed with Sebastian, with Scy's help, until they reached the prize booth. HIs head turned a bit to listen to the conversation as they talked, his eyebrows raising a bit as he heard his friend had enough for two. Well damn, his pokemon must have been working rather hard to get quite a few coins. He kinda wondered when they'd done that... but then again....

The two plasma grunts hurried off, sending indignant glares Vanyel's way, as if he was at fault. Vanyel turned to Seul and shrugged, but Seul nudged his shoulder with his head. The absol could tell Vanyel was a little hurt by that. They decided to make their way back to Riley while playing a few games along the way.

Though out of pokemon the grunt made no move to retreat, his breathing haggard and nostrils flaring with his anger. Tybalt, one of the few pokemon of Huey's that hadn't battled, not one to wait and see if something did happen stepped forward and, in one fluid motion, slashed downwards onto the grunt, his blades slashing through the front of his shirt and the front of his shirt only-- after all, he wasn't one for unnecessary violence. His message made clear the grunts were quick to retreat, the one grunt whose shirt had been slashed now desperately holding onto the fibers to try and keep his entire shirt from falling off his shoulders.
Huey watched the two leave, giving a nod of satisfaction once they were out of sight, before he turned back around to face the two individuals he'd 'rescued'. "They didn't hurt you, did they?" he asked and approached the two slowly, doing his best to try and search for any bruises or the like. "No, we're fine!" the boy spoke up, slowly straightening himself out of the huddled position he'd previously been in. "Thanks for helping us out! You really showed those guys up!" Huey grinned sheepishly, happy to have been of some use. "It's really my pokemon you should be thanking," he murmured, passing the spotlight onto them. The other boy, a few year younger than the one Huey's age and presumably the boy's younger brother, gave a shy nod before he tugged sharply on his brother's sleeve. "Oh, uh, sorry! I guess we better get going, we need to find our parents. Thanks, again, for saving us!"
The older boy left, holding onto his brother's hand tightly, and for a moment Huey simply followed them with his eyes before he turned his attention to his pokemon. All his pokemon had done an impressive job, something he'd make certain to reward them for later, and were now in need of treatment. Huey set his bag down onto the ground before he pulled out a few potions, administering the medicine to his pokemon until their wounds had faded away and they were back in good shape.

Once he'd finished playing doctor Huey slipped his bag back onto his back and looked around, clearly searching for something-- or someone. "Shall we continue trying to locate the rest of your family?" Tybalt inquired, looking curiously at his arms, shaking off a piece of fabric from off the edges of his swords. "..No, not yet," Huey answered slowly, surprising both Tybalt and Yuki. "There are a lot of those goons around here, and I bet they're picking on other people too.." he reasoned and then began to walk in the direction of where he thought a familiarly dressed figure had gone into. "We should try and stop them... I know how it feels when you have your pokemon stolen."
Tybalt scrutinized his trainer quietly, not quite understanding why he would purposefully seek out such characters, but not one to disobey he simply nodded and began to follow after Huey once he began walking. Yuki, who was currently in danger of being left behind, stared hard at the back of her trainer's head before, with an icy exhale, she began to follow along as well. It didn't take long for them to find another Plasma Grunt, and it took an even shorter time to enrage the man enough for him to believe battling would solve his problems; unfortunately for him, he thought wrong.

The grunt narrowed his eyes after his pokemon was taken out, though was quick to withdraw the fainted Galvantula and replace it with a Watchog. Huey, taking in Yuki's exhausted look, was quick to call her back and send Minerva out in her place. The three-headed dragon growled happily as she was sent into battle, all three heads glowering down at their Watchog, and with six eyes versus two the smaller pokemon quickly lost, caving as it turned and began to cower. Though the brief fear the meerkat-esque pokemon felt was enough to be temporarily heart-stopping, it wasn't enough to stop it from attacking and, after gathering its courage, the Watchog whirled around, teeth bared, and attacked.

For deliberately egging on a known criminal Huey was doing very well for himself, as were his pokemon. They easily beat back the man's pokemon, and were able to see his face turn five different shades of red in anger. It didn't help that, as a final kick, Prim, the small little flower, was able to beat the man's last and remaining pokemon; the man probably should've invested in more than three pokemon, and should have made it so that two of his pokemon weren't the same species.
