*slurps thread* RP with Syrius heart Lightning Shadow X ((Alright then I'll start))
She hadn't seen any cubs...or anyone...apart from Dath and Ramses in ages.
The sleek, juvenille lioness strode through the grass of Ngrongo crater, wondering where the cubs that usualy pestered her always where at, she was actualy starting to miss them...but only because she grew bored and wanted something to do.
Her red eye's glanced over the grass to try and see that ball of salmon and white fur, even trying to catch a glimpse of his bright golden eye's. Syrius Lionwing He was far from a ball any more. He had, to say the least had a growth spurt. His pure white fur sparkled in the bright midday sunlight, his back to laana, showing off that thick salmon stripe that was so familiar. he hadn't , to his angst, grown out of his 'pink' fur colouring and though it still aggitated him he was big enough now to beat whom ever called him pink quite senceless. His black tail tip flickerd, his eyes facing the long pass that led in to the crator.
It was more his crator now than ever, he had grown and he had become more ambitious, willing anxious to own his own land to be able to call himself king. His mother wouldn't help him to take the crator and it annoyed him. She was so weak he had outgrown her now though she hunted for him he no longer supped of her milk. His ears flattend as he heard an approach and he turned quickly standing tall, but far from slender. he was a well built youngster, not fat simply husky, he looks strong though sort of short for his age. His mother had long ago warned him he would not be a great big lion, the lion he dreamed of being, that he would be small as she and his father were. Nyekundu had always refused to beleive this, he would be huge and husky and strioke fear in to the hearts of millions. His dreams of growth hadn't exactly come to pass though he was certainly large in the mucle department, he exercised alot now, he lacked the hight of any other lion of his age.
A smile flickerd on his handsome maw and he daned out of the golden rustling grass pounceing up to Laana "Heyy Laana'" he purured flickering his tail high in the air. Laana, the one lion whom he respected, the others, they were just pions but Laana, she had always been something different to him. Lightning Shadow X The juvenille flinched a little at being pounced at, only to gawk a little wide eye'd at the 'fur ball' that was no ball anymore, he'd grown, a lot.
"Nyekundu?!" She asked in a semi astonished tone, surely not, not this piece of work.
"My God...Nyekundu you've grown so big...and in such short time..."
Her deep crimson eye's flickered over his 'handsome' body, her own slender one gracefully placing itself in a seated position infront of him, making the skull that hung around her neck jingle. Syrius Lionwing Nyekundu beams sitting down before her, well, at least he was taller than the females, that at least made up a little for being a short male. He flickers his tail and tosses his longer growing mane tuft from his eyes "Yeah it's me" He grins broadly, sitting so she could admire him, or so he told himself, whatt female wouldn't admire him? After all he was damn handsome. He licks his lips standing again he rubbed around Laana "I havn't seen you for a while, i thought you'd left without me" he grins nudging her chin in a friendly playful manner before sitting before her again and cleaning his face. He was still overly obssessed with his fur, it had to beclean, but he wanted to seee the world and Laana had promised when he got bigger that she would show him the world out side of the crator. He smirked flickering his tail "You did promise me all that time ago that you would show me the world when I got bigger, well, I'm bigger now, whaddya say huh?" He was still somewhat childish in his thinking, though very standoffish to anyone else and rather snooty, extremely vein and very ambitious, Laana was still the 'cool' person he had always known. Lightning Shadow X Laana blunk as he touched her, should, not, touch.
But she let him, seeing as his ego was too big anyway and she'd grown to see him as the annoying little brother...well...big brother she'd never had.
She chuckled at his enthusiasm and then nodded to him, standing up and watchim him closely as her beautiful red eye's half lidded.
"Alright, easy boy, a promise is a promise and today you get to see the outside of the crator..."
She then turned her sleek body away from him and started to climb up the 'wall' of the huge crator. Syrius Lionwing Nyekundu grinned, he was ever enthusiastic to follow after the grey female and he quickly stood following after her. He was far from an unhealthy cub, he was strong and fit, he had worked hardsince he started to grow to make himself look larger than he acctually was, he'd even taken to fluffing up his mane tuft to make himself look taller. He grinend broadly watching Laana's tail extremely tempted to tap at it so they would play the way they used to, but he scolded himself, he was too old for that. He narrowed his eyes and caught up to her walking shoulder to shoulder he strove to sound more manly as he spoke "so where we goin'?" he grinned glancing sideways at the slender figure beside him, he felt like an adult walking beside Laana, finally, he was leaving the crator, he'd find some wheer and make it his own, one day, one day he would make a place his own. Lightning Shadow X The lioness watched him, a small semi smirk and grin lighting her usualy bleak features as they quickly made their way to the top, after all, they where strong and young and it did not take long for them to reach the edge of the 'wall'.
Her red eye's looked into his golden one's and she batted her eyelid's slightly.
"Anywhere you wish to go Nyekundu, this is your desicision(sp?XP)...pick a direction...and we'll go that way..."
She then smirked.
"But first, how's about I beat you in a race to the bottom of the crator?"
She then shot of, like a dark gray blur as she ran down the outside of the crator towards the ground as she took a headstart. Syrius Lionwing Nyekundu blinked, but was only a second in racing after the grey femme, his tail lashing behind him like a rudder as he skidded down some rubble. He would never catch her, he knew all too well that Laana was fast. Damn, he was going to get shown up by a girl, but it was Laana. It suddenly crossed his mind that Laana had batted her eye lids at him, had she done that on purpose? Destracted for a moment in his own thoughts he half tumbled down a stretch of the hillside cursing himself for being clumsey he sped after Laana finally catching her as they neared the bottom, he did manage to n** the tip of her tail as they slid down the last meter. At the bottom he pounced over her and turned around to face her with an overly cheeky grin "Lets go that way" he pointed in a random direction with his claw facing Laana withthose huge golden yellow eyes, he was a defiant little git and even though she had beaten him in this race, well maybe next time he would win, he almost, longingly wanted Laana to be on his 'side' so to speak Lightning Shadow X
The young female's red eye's faced of in the direction he was pointing and smiled, that was the southlands, hmmm, the boy had a good sense of direction, because that was the mid way for the desert and the elephant graveyard.
Her red eye's became half lidded and she smiled before nodding.
"Ofcourse"
She said softly, before nipping at his ear gently, just to gt him back for the tail.
The sleek figured juvenille then started to walk of in the direction he had stated, eye's looking over the immense wide openess of the lands.
The sky and land seemed to stretch on forever...and what was over the horizon?...well...she didn't want to spoil the surprise, now did she?Syrius Lionwing Nyekundu smirked, he had stood at the top of the crator for such a long time stareing out at the world, wondering what was out there. He knew wheer they were going, his curiosity had long ago made him enquire around the older lions. Of course he would let laana think it was a surprise.
He grinned broadly at the n** upon his ear chuckling he caught up to her walking shoulder to shoulder with the older femme "so where we going or is it a surprise?" he chuckled softly. He was glad that it was Laana at his side. Anyone else would scold him for foolishness or worse, tell hismother, but he wasn't staying around heer forever, with the lack of kingship in this killy land he would have to claim a place of his own to rule, he was damned if he was going to be some low level kitten all his life, he wanted to rule a place and have thousands of subjects, and many women, or maybe just Laana, he would be quite happy just to have laana at his side, of course, he didn't voice this oppinion but he did manage to make his eyes get destracted by something else in a tree that wasn't there. Lightning Shadow X Laana turned to look at him as they walked.
He had grown much, from that little fur ball she used to love toying with, to a strong young juvenille, guess things do grow better with time then.
At his comment she did a small shrug, a smooth little gesture as her deep red eye's remained on him, even if he didn't look at her then more at a random tree.
"It's not much of a surprise...we're on our way to the Southlands...it ajoin's the Elephant Graveyard as the Desert that belongs to the Firekin pride..."
Memories of being in that pride momentarily flashed through her skull, but she payed it no heed.
Finaly she snapped and asked him something as he looked into the tree.
"Is something in there?...a monkey perhaps?" She asked calmly. Syrius Lionwing Nyekundu cleared his throat turning his gaze back on Laana he tried to look aloof "na, thought I saw a bird, thought it might have made a bit of breakfast for us before we went on he cleared his throat subconciously trying to change the subject "The elephant graveyard huh? I heard some really crazy stories out of that place"
He shook his head, he felt rather hot and botherd suddenly, avoiding looking at Laana he concentrated on the distance ""You know..I'm thinking of leaving the crator, looking for some where to, you know live, on my own, maybe.." He paused then the words, do you wanna come with, popped in to his head but they refused to come out of his mouth, damn his pride, he wanted Laana to come with him. Lightning Shadow X Laana cocked her head, listening intently, only to nod.
"Yes...the Elephant Graveyard is deffinatly a wild place...but a lot of fun..."
She rarely used the word 'fun' in any sentence, so it was strained from her mouth a little.
At his next word's she blunk softly, but as he stopped she couldn't help but give a small smile and look at him through her beautiful, half lidded red orb's.
"Do you want me to come with you Nyekundu? Because I'd be glad to acompany you" Syrius Lionwing
Nyekundu coughed, clearing his throat he tried to sound very airy about the whole matter "well, if you want to, you can really do as you like really, I uhm, just wanted to mention it" he couldn't help but stumble over his words, again he cursed that part of him which was too full of prideful big headedness to just pounce laana and shout yes at the top of his lungs. His ears lowerd and he glanced at Laana, she always seemed to understand him. His tail flickerd happily and a little extra bounce pounded in to his step a smirk raising on that handsome maw "We'd have to find some where better than the crator, that place is so barren, I heard tell there were jungles some where." In a moment he had gone from very aloof to saying we, he really wanted Laana to accompany him, even if he didn't exactly say it straight out.Lightning Shadow X She watched him, only to smile slightly and then nudge his cheek gently with her muzzle, giggling a little bit as her bone jewelry clanked away like windchime's.
"The jungle is a very amazing place so I've heard, I've been somewhere with forested area's, but the jungle...mmm...very peaceful, very lush and green...and full of adventure..."
Her red orb's looked deeply into his golden honey glazed eye's, maybe if they wen't to the jungle, it would stop her nightmare's of something going to happen there...after all, she could just about calm anything down with her attitude.
"And yes...I will go with you..."
She said it calmly, smoothly and yet knew it would make him more bouncy then he had become already. Syrius Lionwing Nyekundu's grin grew ever wider as she nudged at his cheek and aggreed to go with him. The bounce in his step did indeed become more pronounced and he looked accross at the slender red eyed femme with a smile that touched those big honey coloured eyes "I think that would be the best place for us to go, I bet it's beautiful" He loooked at her for a long moment, the word beautiful hanging in the air like an omen "It would be a great adventure, just you and me we could rule the whole place together" He paused, feeling once again that he was maybe steeping his bounds, that he had let his prideful nature slip a bit. He coughed sheepishly once again stareing out at the distant lands they were travelling to. Lightning Shadow X The female blunk, rule together? That was...quite the big step, wasn't it?
She arched a brow before smiling and walking over to his side, an actualy purr rumbling through her as she nuzzled against his cheek and looked at him.
"One step at a time big guy...first we have to get there..."
She then stepped infront of him before teasingly sliding her tail under his chin.
"Then we'll talk about the rest later"
Batting her eyelid's once more before she trotted of slightly in the jungle's direction. Syrius Lionwing The fur on Nyekundus neck rose up as she flicked ehr tail beneath his chin. He almost melted, his legs felt like jelly, his eyes concentraed on her, he almost looked dazed for a moment. He was smitten, His eyes went blurry for a moment, the rest of the world vanished and Laana shone like a grey star before him. Upon hearing her voice though he snapped out of his dazed reverae and trotted swiftly to catch up to her again, he nipped lightly at her ears licking the top of her head in a rather bold manner nudging her neck and trying exceedingly had to look like a man not soem fawning child "we shouldn't have a problem getting there at least" he smirked, feeling himself ready for anything, with Laana by his side, or at least, he preyed she was by his side now, he could do all that and more. Lightning Shadow X An evil smirk lit her features at the back of her mind, but for now she let a sweet smile lace her true mouth, blood red eye's watching him closely.
She blunk however as she was suddenly lavished with attention by the juvenille and began purring loudly, smiling a little more as she felt him walk by his side.
Inside her mind she knew she'd never truly join anyone, but she'd stay by Nyekundu as long as she wished and for now she wished be by his side, he was fun and entertaining, plus she'd grown fond of the young male since he was a cub.
"True, the jungle isn't that far away from here"
She said smoothly, before countering his attention with a swift lick across his fuzzy muzzle. Syrius Lionwing Nyekundu grinned broadly, happy to gain the attentions of the female. He felt rather soft suddenly, perhaps he was being too kind, he wanted to rule yet he was allowing himself to be ruled by a female because she batted her eyes at him. Deep in the back of his mind shame pinched and taunted him, told him he was afool that women were milk bars there to be used for his ends. Yet his heart still raced. His ears pounding with the sound of blood rushing about his body. She made him happy, and perhaps he made ehr happy in a way. Maybe one day she would leave him. She had been a loner since the day he had met her, but perhaps, perhaps she would stay and they really would rule the jungles together. A quiet voice whisperd that he could force ehr to stay to do his bidding, he was larger than her even if she was older, perhaps, it was an option and he stored it away for later use, he was happy at the moment simply to be smitten by the red eyed temptress "I'm sure we'll find something good to eat when we get there" he grinned, he often thought with his stomach, though his mind was always an active influence. Lightning Shadow X
This guy was really a lot of fun.
A small smirk laced her lips and she yawned a little before stretching, that race had tired her out just the tiniest bit so she lagged a little behind before quickly catching up, no way was she gonna let him out of her sights.
"Don't worry, on the way I'll catch you a big meal, that'll fill you up right, nothing better then naturaly grown zebra"
Her red eye's stayed in their half lidded form, tail flicking side to side as her sweet rumbling purr vibrated through her chest.
Syrius Lionwing Nyekundu smirks "sounds good" alright, he had a woman to hunt for him, no hunting for him. He almost felt privalaged, or at least he did for a moment until he realised thats what women did. He supposed thats why he was never very good at hunting really, ah well, Laana would feed him. His tail flickerd tangling with hers for a moment as he admired that quiet rumbling puurr that echoed from her. He leaned over and nipped her neck and cheek once again a sort of affectionate administration he felt heneeded to reaffirm every so often. His big amber eyes watched her for some time as they plodded along, he wasn't tired, he was fit as a fiddle, rather than laze about down the crator he had been wise and exercised making him bulky while at the same time extremely fit, he could take a wolf lope for a day and a night certainly before he needed to relax or sleep or eat. Still he wasn't about to say no to a zebra and the thought of it made him lick his lips. Lightning Shadow X
Her tail twitched at being tangled with, but it quickly settled as she smiled, purring at this attention before she licked him across his muzzle, toying with male's minds was so much fun.
She purred before turning and seeing a small herd.
"Oh, speak of the devil, dinner on the go"
She then nuzzled against him.
"You just relax while I do my thing handsome..."
Adding a small wink as she slinked of toward's the herd, keeping her body low to the ground.Syrius Lionwing Nyekundu watched Laana walk away, he lay in a lazy manner, being a king for the moment. The sound of Laana'svoice though, big boy, handsome, they wounded more like jeers, a tease than adeerments. His eyes narrowed a touch, as he watched her saunter away, perhaps, perhaps he needed to say something, do something to make her realise he was no wimp, he was a beast, a king, a mighty lion, he wouldn't be played with. His tail twitched and he watched the hrizon, little interested in watching a female hunt. At last that prideful nature of his prodded himyelling that he was rediculous allowing himself to be smitten by the first pair of batting eye lashes. He licks his sharp teeth, perhaps she needed a warning. His eyes narrowed to slits and he waited. She would be back but he needed to make sure she knew who was bos around here. Lightning Shadow X As she slinked of, the herd just quietly munched away at the grass before they lifted their head's, ear's twitching as they looked around quietly, something disturbed them (a guess to what rolleyes ).
They nickered before a loud squeal ran through the herd, a blood curdling scream of pain as on of the large males was bitten, a juvenille dark gray lioness clung to his neck as blood sprayed everywhere, the rest of the herd running off.
Laana just clung to the stallion's neck, clawing at his eye's as she snarled, eye's flaring with a murderous glow before finally the large creature was brought to the ground.
The female paused, standing over her kill, an emotionless glow to her deep red eye's before she used all the strength she'd gained over the year's and began to drag the large ammount of flesh back towards Nyekundu. Syrius Lionwing Nyekundu continued to lay, looking aloof and calm, he didn't run towards the female, he wasn't about to prance for her because she braught food. He waited exactly where he lay not moving a mucle. He wanted, he wanted some sort of obedience from her, some sort of pledge thats he wasn't simply playing him for a young fool. He turned his head in a lazy manner as she approached, looking overly aloof, a high and mighty male awaiting his meal to be fetched to him. He licks his lips once waiting for her to speak, he would move when it was close enough, til then, he would watch, remaining calm and trying to rationalise his muddled mind. Lightning Shadow X Finally the young female came with food, smiling a little bit at Nyekundu as she licked her blood dripped maw, watching him.
"There you are...fresh zebra"
She continued to watch him before her ear's flattened a little, he looked a little more...distant then he had been a few moments ago.
"You okay?" She asked, mocking her own emotions. Syrius Lionwing Nyekundu was knocked quite unceremoniously from his quiet contemplations by Laana's voice. He stood, his brows clenched together as he padded over to the female. he didn't reply though settling in to tear open the zebras skull. he had not too long ago found a liking for the brain of what ever animal was fetched for him to eat and it was always his first stop. His tail lashed a little as his strong teeth tore through the eye sockets craching the skull blone to reveal the steaming grey matter., he settled down and ate the meat before turning to Laana with a perfectly serious look in those big golden eyes "You know My father was forced to walk with my uncle in to a land where they were both killed for tresspassing. My father in a way was betrayed by his family, of course, you arn't my family Laana, but I wouldn't take too kindly to being used for somone eleses ends, my father was weak and a fool allowing himself to be used as he was but I am not, I have watched the world around me with untainted eyes, I want freedom, I want a kingdom and I want someone, or some thing that will always be loyaly at my side. I know you are independant Lana and allowing myself to be smitten by you is ultimately foolish but I won't be betrayed" His eyes turned to Laana then, dark and distant though there was a light at the end of the proverbial tunnel a light that begged for laana just to be true to him, he wanted her to stay with him, more than anything, he also knew how foolish he must sound, a youngster stabbing for an elder woman who was wise of the world. Lightning Shadow X Laana listened intently, ear's flattening back a little before she half lidded her eye's, not the flirtitious way, but the cold, dark way she had around other's when Nyekundu was just a cub.
Sometime's other's ever wondered if she had ANY true feelings for someone, the truth was...she didn't.
"...Nyekundu...I think of you as a little brother...and I can admit I've grown slightly fond of you, you entertain me, you make me laugh..."
She then narrowed her eye's more.
"But there are times I have left the crator...without you...to talk to people outside of that place...God's...other lions...people I've met through my life..."
She then looked into his eye's truly, showing the emotionless glance she'd had ever since her cubhood.
"...I'm not something to be tethered down...I'll stay with you...but only as long as I can will myself too...and on that 'smitten' note..."
A heavy sigh released her throat before she started to walk away a little.
"I suggest you get those feelings out of your head...I'm not one to be loved..." Syrius Lionwing He wanted to bite her so badly at that moment, he wanted to bite her and tear her a new hole that wouldn't ever heal. he was indeed a foolish cub, she was using him for her own entertainment? He was no clown, he would be a king one day, he had sworn he would be king. His tail lashed as he watched the femme, watching her back, glareing at it. He gave a grunt "I thought as much" he sounded stern, he wasn't dissapointed, it was what he expected, she used him, he used ehr, it was the way their relationship would be he had always known that dee down "No more of this flirting crap okay, I'm still a male I have needs and if I have to fullfil them your a** is mine if you continue alright?" He smirked tearing at the zebra eatching a bloody peice of meat and staining his pure white chest blood red "I want to go to the jungle, get me ther and you can do as you please. I want you at my side but I suppose you have your own ways. Now come and eat, I'm a big eater but a zebra on my own is a bit much" he laughed digging in to the meat silently wishing he could just rape and kill laana for this indignaty, he would never forget that was sure. The lioness watched him, all of a sudden her claws skidded across some rock she sat on, making a horrible screeching sound, though she didn't even look phased.
Something told her not to be here anymore...all of a sudden, a very cruel idea popped into mind, her eye's glowing that cruel glow once more.
"...actualy...I have a better idea...if your going to be a future king...then you can find it yourself..."
Her eye's narrowed cruely as she watched him, before turning and making her way away from him.
She didn't give a last glance before she started to run away.

A little figure sat atop a small cub's head, bright blue eyes looking around boredly as her ride moved from side to side with every step of her paws.
"So let me get this straight..." The cub started hesitantly. "Why do you need me to get around?"
The meerkat droned slightly before dusting some of her grayish brown fringe out of her face to look into the cubs red orbs.
"Because of predators"
However this just made the small cub roll her eyes.
"Oh yeah that makes sense" Edit ((I'm happy for anyone to join.))
Rahima was unaware of spoiling anothers hunt, nor of the unusual pair nearby...until she changed direction so they were upwind. She paused to scent the air - meerkat, two lions, one she recognised, a few mice or rats or something and all the usual small game.
She had to grin. Oh it had been a long while, and this was unclaimed territory! She roared a greeting of sorts to whomever was there, happy she felt comfortable enough to these days. Lightning Shadow X The two turned their heads, the cub blinking at the roar as the Meerkat just shook slightly, her small body and tail trembling while the young lioness rolled her eyes slightly.
"Your not scared are you?" She questioned the animal on her head, smirking as the small creature almost looked insulted at this.
"What? Who? Me?? NO!! Not at all!!!"
"Oh good" The cub perked. "Than you won't mind if we go see who it is"
The meerkat blunk, only to smack her face agrivatedly as she felt her steed start to make off in the direction of the roar. Andrani Stopping when she saw the meerkat and the little female cub, Ishara couldn't help but smile to herself. The cub looked better than the last time she'd seen her... Stepping out of the grass, she let out a soft little roar, mostly to catch her attention. Spying Rahima, Danzi hurried his pace toward her. "Hey!" Lightning Shadow X The two jumped slightly, the cub turned instantly, nearly making the meerkat fall of before Laana's face lit up at the sight of her old friend.
"Ishara!" She said, running over to the lioness happily before nuzzling into her neck, the rodent on her head meanwhile just trying to stay on. Andrani Rubbing against Rahima as if she were his aunt, Danzi didn't seem to notice the golden juvenile female until she spoke. Ears flicking in her direction, he looked over and tilted his head. "Hello, never met you before..." He went padding over, then his nose twitched a bit. He knew that smell. He smelled it every time he passed by the borders of the Pride Lands when chasing a rabbit. He didn't dare cross it, though... But she smelled like she was fromm there. He'd let her tell on her own, though. The dark lioness smiled down at the cub, nuzzling her back. "Hello again, Laana. How are you? Besides doing better... You seem to have gained both weight and a friend on your head.." She couldn't help it, she gave the meerkat a friendly nudge. Not all animals were food, after all. The mouse that had pulled the thorn from Asi's paw came to mind first. Lightning Shadow X ((Sorry I'm slow, trying to RP three people not good for brain xp ))
The meerkat squeaked, looking up at Ishara as Laana just giggled at her.
"This is Dunia, she's on her way somewhere so she hitched a ride"
The small rodent just smiled, messing up the cubs fur playfully before she jumped of her head.
"Nice to meet you ma'am!" She squeaked politely.
