† A l p h a b e t september two-zero, two-thousand six The crayons were set on the floor with a thud, most of them broken and strewn about loosely in the box. Tiil'xhin glowered at the young kid, arms crossed loosely over his chest.
"Now, I got these sheets from a very wonderful - and pretty, I might add - teacher, so you are going to color them. Whether you like it or not."
Altessa glared up at him, her cheeks puffing out in annoyance.
"Kanth?" Altessa asked mock-sweetly, grabbing a paper and beginning to wrinkle it.
"No." Tiil hissed, taking her wrist and forcing her fingers to let go, before he stuffed a crayon in it. "Kanth is gone, that's why I'm doing this." Altessa glowered further, but colored the first letter before grabbing another and scribbling away.
At seeing the love part, Altessa shrieked and grabbed the darkest crayon she could find, scribbling over it and messing it up before grabbing the box of crayons and throwing them at Tiil. The mage didn't expect that, and winced as it hit his shoulder. He was about to retort something before the girl flew off in a fit, leaving him to clean up the mess.
He sighed. "What the hell."

"See, now was that so bad?" Tiil winced as Altessa shot a glare at him, and the crayon in her hand broke in half before she smashed it in between her palms.
"HATE YOU." She hissed, tail lashing back and forth as she shoved over the tattered box of crayons, standing up and stomping on the papers. Tiil sighed, pressing his hands together.
"I ask for patience. It's only the second day, only the second day..." He yelped as a tuft of his blonde hair was grabbed, and pulled rather ferociously. It took all of his strength to not hit back or anything of the like, she was just a kid. That didn't stop his mouth from running, ******** whelp!"
They still had to do numbers. He wouldn't survive, he knew it.

† N u m b e r s september two-five, two-thousand six "Okay, now... we have to do numbers." It was the third day, and Tiil was already tired of having to watch Altessa. It was a pain in the a** on his end, and he wanted nothing more to do with it.
He did, however, owe Kanth a favor.
And so he walked her through the numbers, knowing full well she was ignoring him. She did get them done, however, and he left her alone after that.
It wasn't known who had won the 'battle', but they still had quite a ways to go.

† F e a r october zero-nine, two-thousand six A look into Altessa's mind...
Loathing couldn't even come close to what she felt. She was currently hiding from that wanna-be mage, Tiil'xhin, curled up on the roof and looking down through narrowed eyes. It wasn't long before he came out, and he kind of reminded her of a turtle; in the door, out the door, and acting like a chicken with his head cut off.
Kanth had never acted like this, and Altessa had to wonder where she was. She didn't care, no... she wouldn't even admit to having the possible feelings. But she did want things to be like they once were, when she had first arrived. She knew that Tiil didn't like her, and the feeling was very mutual.
For once, she wanted to do her own thing, and not have to worry about the effects of her actions. After all, nothing really phased her.
Leaning back against the roof, Altessa stared at the stars, a smirk spreading across her lips. Let him worry.
Curling her fingers and staring at them, Altessa narrowed her eyes. Ah, if only she could cause fear now. The fun she would have...

A child is expected to know certian things at certian ages. In order to obtain rights to their Dragon(egg), they must prove they can meet these requirements. The following sheet is for your child to fill out, with mild help from their guardian, then sent back to D-corp. (PM ot the mule) Also any changes, even minor such as haircuts, should be reported to the D-corp to be logged and filed. Thankyou, Alan Rikery.

Okay, so Kanth said you guys were going to send a letter, though I haven't seen high head or tail of her lately. Anyway, Altessa hasn't made much progress, and she's been kind of... bitchy, even for a kid. I suppose that's the best way to describe it.
So I gave her the sheet you guys sent. And I'm a little more than disturbed. Here I was, thinking she didn't learn any letters at all, and she was asking me questions like 'how do you spell blood' and 'who on earth needs friends?'. Disturbing, very disturbing. If this is some idea of a twisted joke, the joke was over a long time ago. Doesn't anyone know anything about Jabberwockies? Besides the whole fear factor, but that's not really apparant right now, as she's just acting like a little s**t that wants her own way.
I got tired of that godawful mullet of hers, and took scissors to her hair, which she absolutely hated and fussed every moment I spent snipping her hair. It ended up a lot shorter than it was supposed to, but it still looks cute. And, even taking her out shopping is a pain in the a**. We did get her a few ornamental barettes and a necklace, even though they're skull shaped, they look cute.
I also tried to get her some decent clothes, but... hell, she just looks like she got them out of the rag bin. Even for a little s**t, she looks cute, but... I'm trying, honest to God.

† G r o w i n g . P a i n s october two-six, two-thousand six "I won't. I won't!" Screamed the voice of Altessa, stomping her foot on the floor of the kitchen. Tiil'xhin jumped, whirling with wide eyes.
"Altessa, quit it. I've had quite enough of your temper tantrum this morning." Tiil'xhin yawned through his hand, looking rather bedraggled as if the bed had tried to eat him last night.
Of course, knowing him, it probably did.

† E x c h a n g i n g . G i f t s november two-zero, two-thousand six "Ooohhhh..."
Tyven's slit-pupiled eyes were wide with wonder, jaw slack, an approprietely adorable expression for any toddler, except for her, of course. Her small, clawed hands were pressed against the glass of a jewelry store, lavender gaze jumping from shining jewel to shining jewel, to the money being counted by the salesclerk, who was closing the shop down. The purple critter was fascinated by sparkling things, especially ones with wealth, and money? She loved it.
She definately didn't look as if her family could afford it though, a black military cap backwards on her head, white wifebeater, black shorts, purple sneakers, and white boxing wraps on her hands and wrists. She actually looked... Cute.
Altessa, unusually silent, walked by and stopped as she saw a familiar reflection, shoving her hands in her pockets.
"Raine." She muttered, sulking slightly as she ducked her head. Her companion stopped, blinking in confusion. "What's wrong?"
"S'Tyven." Nothing more was said as she walked up to her friend and clamped a hand rather gently on her shoulder, tail flicking. Her eyes gazed to where Tyven was looking, trying to determine just what it was she was looking at. The concept of jewels and pretty things escaped her; she liked fear, and didn't understand anything else at that point.
Tyven didn't startle at the touch, having taste/scented Altessa when the girl got in proximity, instead, she flicked out her black tongue for a moment in silence. Shaking her head hard, and almost knocking off her own cap, she forced herself free of the trance, and spun about, to flash Alt her rare, charming grin.
"Altesssssa."
Somewhat warm greeting, for the apathetic child, and her strange eyes narrowed toward Raine. Who was THAT? Certainly not the irritable man.
"She's good." Altessa gave a crooked smile at the name, then peered past her at whatever was beyond the window. "Whatcha lookin' at?"
Raine shifted to the side, smiling at the girl calmly, though didn't seem at all worried in the slightest.
Accepting her "friend's" statement as the truth, Tyven eagerly turned back to the window, pressing both palms against the glass once again.
"Ssshiniess... M'ke pow'r."
And it was true. The young girl, who hadn't yet mastered speaking, clearly understood the way the world worked already. Money equalled control, and power.
"Pow'r m'ke fear."
Something Altessa enjoyed as well.
Altessa stared at the window, then through it, gritting her teeth.
"S'stupid to think something so pretty could equal so much fear." She crossed her arms, not even thinking about her own self.
"You are pre'y."
A calm statement from a girl who could go to psycho in a second, and she traced a finger around the cashbox from afar, before finally turning away completely, and approaching Raine and holding up a hand, face solemn. If Altessa said she was good... Hrm. Perhaps she would be less annoying than most mother units.
"Hallo."
"Hi." Raine brightened, reaching down to shake the little girl's hand gently. Altessa seemed to brighten at this, looking quite smug.
Her brief curiousity in Raine now appeased, Tyven's hand dug around in her shorts' pocket, before reemerging with a glinting [to please Tyv], sharp [ to please Alt] object, and holding it out to her friend. A small blade. A gift, perhaps?
"Foun'dis."
She said a bit too casually, eyes half-closed as she studied the older girl.
Eyes widening, Altessa peered at it before taking it slowly. She said nothing; she didn't exactly know what to say.
"Pre'y, m'kesss fear."
And it did. She'd seen it, already. Both on TV, and when Jem had thrown a blade into the wall, and gotten yelled at by Rapier. Would Raine take it away? Probably not, if Altessa got along with her. Tyven then moved away from Alt and kicked an empty cup on the ground, not knowing what to do next. Obviously, she'd been her alone for quite a while.
Altessa moved and tugged on Raine's pantleg, looking almost... begging? How curious. Raine seemed to think for a moment and then nod, handing something over, which went unseen between their hands.
Altessa then ran inside, throwing open the door (and nearly hitting the shopkeeper in the process), moving towards the item which Tyven had been looking at.
Raine, however, moved so she was blocking Tyven's sight, smiling gently. "So, Tyven... tell me about yourself."
Bliiiiiiiiiink. Tyven lifted her strange eyes until they refocused on the adult, taking her time with the question before answering. She had a limited vocabulary, tended to avoid the letter 's', and didn't know what exactly Raine wanted. Still. Nice Tyven.
"Ssssissster Cleo. Gol'cressst."
She stated that fact first, because Cleo was the first thing really in her life, and the most important. Next came what she was herself. A child with Indigo snake DNA, but a failed experiment by Dcorp.
"Indigo Ssssnake. Accid'nt."
Tyv hated talking. She felt unintelligent when she did so, because she didn't quite have the words to express herself.
"Doesn't look like an accident to me." Raine knelt in front of the girl, reaching out to ruffle her hair. "But remember, even the worst can turn out the best, even over those who think they're the best." It was the best way she could explain it, and she did like this girl if Altessa liked her.
Altessa was still inside, haggling.
Tyven... Did not like hair touches from those she didn't trust. It made her cap move strangely on her head and her little hands came up to grip it tightly, eyes narrowing at Raine as she hissed in the slightest. Not threatening, simply notifying of her displeasure. Still... Her words were nice, and Tyven's startled noises calmed, the little snake glancing at the woman and... Giving a hesitant smile?
"....kay."
"So don't let others get you down." Raine stopped, glancing up as Altessa walked out, holding out a package well wrapped for Tyven.
"Fo'you." The Bandersnatch kid shoved her hands into her pockets and waited.
Tyven didn't show any hesitancy about accepting the package from Altessa, and opened it carefully, peering inside, before shooting the older girl a startled glance, and hugging the object tightly to her chest, the paper falling to the ground unnoticed. Staring at it again, she beamed, the first time she'd smiled so, and then... Promptly hid the object under her cap.
"... T'nk you."
How sweet. The little hellions were good to each other, at least.
"You're welcome over anytime, Tyven." Raine smiled.
"We can do anything t'Till." Altessa muttered, rubbing her feet together. "Immunity." She pointed at Raine, grinning.
Now that, made her smile turn a lot less innocent. The man had it coming.
"...kay."
Tyven had just reached toward Altessa as if to do something affectionate [a hug perhaps?!] when a loud, familiar shout caused her to yank her hand back, as Jem bounded around the corner.
"THERE you are, Tyvvieboo!"
Jem, grinning like a maniac, scooped the toddler up into her arms, and pressed several kisses to the little girl's blank face.
"Thanks fer watchin' her. Rapier would KILL me if she knew I'd forgotten her! Haha!"
Raine nodded, putting an arm around Altessa's shoulders and turning her towards home. "It was no problem. She is intriguing, and should be treated with care." Not that Raine was saying she was a perfect little doll, oh no. She understood the malice both had, and didn't protest when they plotted against Tiil. She knew what was coming for that man, and she certainly wasn't going to stop it.
Giving a thin smile to Jem, she waved and walked forward, Altessa in the front.
Altessa gave a short wave.
Jem gave a jaunty little wave in response, not catching Raine's drift, and headed off, Tyven's gaze over her shoulder and back toward Altessa, she of course had yet to say goodbye. But what to say? Before the other two females could get out of hearing range, Tyv's face brightened slightly, and she spoke up, just loud enough to be heard.
"Loathesss you."
Altessa brightened as well, perking up slightly. "Loatttthhhh."
