"Ohohohoh I have a quesshun!" Stella said, waving her arm around. "Will it taste good? It'll taste good, yah? 'S yellow so it'll taste like sun, right? Right?"
"Uh, Stel, I don't think you're supposed to eat it..." Daisy said, clearly at a loss.
"Wuh...? Why not? 'S my egg, can I eat it? Omelets come from eggs and I like omelets ananan' omelets are yellow like th' egg, so can I eat it?"
"I don't--"
"Deedee, where do eggs come from?"
Oh, brother.

Perilas started to answer the little yellow girl's questions, but was interrupted by Teal's statement. "Yes, that is true. These eggs need to be very hot so that the dragons inside will hatch." Then, about to answer Cleo's questions, he was once again distracted by silly questions. "These eggs aren't for eating!" He told Stella. "Your dragon'll hatch from your egg. Let's not be eating dragons..."
Finally, he could answer the more serious questions. "Golds, like all dragons, like to eat meat. It'll sleep wherever you put it. You will be taking it home, after all. Golds are some of the largest dragons, getting about 22 feet tall in adulthood." He looked at the girl. "Golds are nice and actually don't like mean people or dragons. I'm not sure if they like dolls or puppies... you'll just have to see..."
He moved on to another incubator, this one featuring a smaller redish egg surrounded by stone tablets. "And this is Teal's egg. It's a Chinese Fireball. It has to be kept warm, like the gold eggs, but not as warm as them, hence why it's not in the middle of a flame."

Peri nodded. "Your egg is more rounded than most. The tablets are there, like in every other asian lung's incubator, to show respect for the dragon within." The man paused. What was with siblings having dragons of opposite types? "Well, part of it will depend on the dragons themselves, but it will always be that while one is comfortable, the other will not be."

She was with that stupid mage again.
Arms crossed over her chest, Altessa stood there with a sour look on her face, reaching up to fiddle with the skull barette she had in her hair.
"Be on your best behavior," Tiil hissed between his teeth, crossing his arms. Honestly, why couldn't Raine have come-
"Sorry I'm late." Raine ran in, breathing hard as she doubled over. "I'm unused to running..."
"About time." Tiil muttered, his lips curving into a sneer. He didn't like her much. "I'll be leaving, then-" He jerked as Altessa bit into his ankle, letting out a sharp yell. "Take care of this ******** girl! I don't care about her!" Drawing his cloak up about him, he marched out, leaving Raine and Altessa alone.
"I... don't like him not liking you. You're fine." Altessa glanced to Raine, shoulders slumping.
"It's fine. I've had worse." Raine smiled, placing a hand on Altessa's shoulder. "Let's go see your dragon egg." Altessa gave a nod, her expression remaining unchanged.

Delta and Moon soon arrived at the location they had been told.
"Dragons, Didn't even believe in the things till a while ago. You looking forward to seeing your egg Dee?" Moon beamed to Delta as they waited for someone who would show them about. There were what looked to be another parent and child here but Moon was a bit shy but she smiled to the other pair nervously and gave a wave.
Delta beamed, her tail wagging "I cant believe im getting a pet! Thats so cool. I bet nobody else on our street has a dragon!" she twirled in her skirt making it spin around her. Delta noticed the other girl nearby, she seemed a bit scary but about her age so she smiled happily and waved a hello. Delta knew all the kids like her were mixed with animals but she couldn't pick what the other girl was.. some kind of lizard?
Moon wondered to herself as they waited. She didn't even know what dragons ate, or how big they grew, maybe they would have to get a bigger house... then she would need to get a better job, which meant less time at home... Thinking about things just made Moon fret more.

"But why?!" whined Caden, scowling. "I dun wanna see some stupid egg and I don't wanna take care of some stupid dragon!"
"Because D-Corp says you have to." replied Wolfie shortly, unable to come up with a reason that she hadn't already used, short of promising that she would care for the dragon, which she was NOT going to do. Caden might be little now, but he and his dragon-to-come wouldn't be living with her forever. She reached for his arm to drag him into the building, but thought better of it; she was bigger, but they were of equal strength and it would only result in a pointless struggle. Instead, she fixed him with an authoritative stare and directed him to walk in front of her. Ah the power of body language.
Still scowling and spitting out arguements every once in a while, the lionboy marched through the doors with his ears back and tail lashing, but still complient. He fell silent when he saw the other D-corp children, not wanting to make himself look like a fool, and Wolfie smiled to herself. It worked every time.

This... was where they were supposed to be, right? Raven glanced around, holding (one of) Jett's hand(s) tightly in her own. Mysterious circumstances made the girl uneasy-- as did labs in general, but this was for Jett. Recite that enough times and it'll make everything better. All for the little boy.
...there were... people. Some recognizable, others not. The green angry one was here. But not approachable-- never approachable because she was different than others. Not like everyone else who could be talked to and dealt with. Different. Angry and strange. Not bad though.
But... promise of a dragon, a creature belonging to Jett and he to it. That was enough to make the boy curious. Though this kind of curiosity was strange for Jett-- it involved a strange feeling inside of him, crawling around under his skin in a not unpleasant way. There was a word for this. A... anti... anticipation. Wait for it.
Everything was coming quickly.

Perilas glanced up at the clock. "Alright everyone. Don't wander off and don't touch anything unless I say you can." With that, he turned and started walking off.
He halted the group before an incubator, thick walled and with only a small opening to look in. "This is Altessa's black dragon egg. It's in acid right now. Black dragons love swamps. Any questions?"

Altessa smiled. Approaching the incubator, she put both hands beside it and looked in curiously, her tail flicking in slight excitement.
"What else does it do?" Came Altessa's question, as she continued to stare at it; the teacher didn't deserve her gaze. Not yet. Fingers spreading out, she silently thought. She had plans for her dragon, yes.
But whether or not they came to fruition depended on certain circumstances.

Jett blinked, considering Altessa's egg and her question. Black. Black for the green girl. Strange. But fitting. Not bad. It made sense. After all, she was angry and different-- like black. But the black might not be different enough for her. It was her choice though. Whether to like the black or not-- though it was chosen for her. Everything set into place.

Perilas was a bit worried about this girl. "Well, black dragons can spit acid. They can also swim."
He paused for a moment, then gestured for the group to follow along. "You can either stay here or follow," he told Altessa, then led the group over to another incubator. This one had an egg buried down in sand. "This is Delta's copper egg." He looked at the canine girl. "You can actually hold yours for a few minutes if you'd like." This was one of the few eggs that weren't in flames or acid or ice and could actually be touched for a while.

Cadentau huffed and crossed his arms when they got to the first egg. So it was dark and scary looking... and actually pretty cool..he wasn't going to have anything to do with some stupid dragon. He turned his nose up at the Copper egg too, but Wolfie was pleased to see that he no longer dragged his feet and lagged behind the rest of the group.
