Absols were well known for their red eyes. They were definitely not something you wanted to run into in the dark, especially when they were angry. And at the moment, Bliss was both shaded by darkness and pissed off. Another thing about Absols. They were usually respected by humans that understood what their appearance meant. This made some of them a little egotistical. There were only a few things that angered them. And Bliss's list was extremely short. The thing that made her the most angry? Being captured. Imagine her surprise when she found herself waking up in a repulsing cage, of all things. ...Definitely wouldn't be smart for anything, whether it be living or not, to approach her. She'd attack a rock if it got to close.

Whether triggered by Bliss' movement or some other source was unknown, but light suddenly flooded the room, blinding and harsh. A hidden speaker on the wall crackled to life and a male voice chuckled darkly.
"So, you're awake, my dear. Enjoying your new accomodations?"
One could almost hear the cruel amusement in the man's voice, even through the electronic device.

Bliss actually wasn't an incredibly violent Pokemon. It was true that she did fight when angered, and that she would defend herself. She could back up her talk. But for some reason, this voice infuriated her even more than she had been moments before he'd spoken. Now she was alert, just in case they tried to do anything else to her. She was already in a cage, and right then, was at a disadvantage. He knew exactly where she was and what she was doing, while she could not see him. Try as she might, her eyes couldn't locate the voice. "Ab Absol Absol? (What do you think?)" It was more of a growl than anything. She had to buy some time until she could find him. If that meant keeping him talking, then fine. Even if he had no idea what she was saying.

"Heh heh... Yes, that's what I'd thought."
Dr. Carl Hakan was no idiot and he certainly didn't need a translator to understand the meaning of the growls coming through the two-way speaker. He also knew better than to try and near this particular Pokemon in her present mind-set. Hence, the speaker system.
"Well, I'd love to spend a little time getting to know you, my dear. Too bad I'm sure you'd love to see how much damage you could do to me with that lovely blade of yours. Perhaps we might even have something in common, if you'd give me a chance."
As Dr. Hakan kept talking to distract Bliss, he pushed a button that caused a tiny panel in the wall behind her to slide silently out of the way. Within moments, a dart-like syringe shot out of the hole and straight into the Absol's flank. The speed alone was enough to push the plunger and inject the mysterious liquid inside straight into Bliss' veins.
"Though, I doubt you will after I get through with you. I have big plans for you, little one..."

Bliss didn't even know what the man behind the voice looked like, and she already wanted to see him dead. She was prepared to strike at any movements that she could see, whether it was the voice's owner, or dust. Even though she could see in the dark, she saw no signs of him. So where was the voice coming from? It was taunting her, and she knew it. That was probably what made her the most angry. "I'll make sure you never get that chan-" She let out a loud yelp of pain as she was injected with something by way of a syringe. Her noise was almost ear-splitting. Oh, she was going to kill him now. How didn't matter. It wasn't important what had just been put inside her. "I DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR PLANS!" She snarled at him. This man had inspired her full-blown loathing.

Hakan only laughed, taking his own form of sadistic pleasure from the cries of pain and rage coming from the intercom speaker.
"There were enough sedatives mixed in with that dose to calm even you down with time. So enjoy your rage while it lasts..."
He smirked, turning a dial and intensifying the light in the room to near-blinding. They'd have to find a way in the future to keep her calm, or at least restrained, in order to administer the necessary remaining injections. But for now, the first steps had been taken. He grinned, folding his hands and leaning forward to rest his chin on them, studying the monitor intensely. Yes, she was spirited. She would make a wonderful test subject.

It didn't take an incredibly long time for Bliss to start feeling the effects of the sedatives. Her noises slowly morphed from growls to what sounded like hisses coming from the back of her throat. But before it kicked in, she was on her guard in case he tried something else. It proved useless when she learned he'd already had a second trick behind the first one. She kept herself standing, against her legs' will to let her drop. "I'm going to get you." If she'd said anything more, then she would have fallen. Most of her concentration was focused on her legs. The rest went to her pure hatred for the man.
The lights were the last straw. Her limbs gave way and she hit the ground, much to her displeasure. The light was bad enough when the sun came up. Now, it was almost unbearbable. It was almost to the point of being painfully bright. She snapped at them from the ground, trying to free herself from them. Needless to say, it didn't work.

Dr. Hakan watched the monitor for some time before feeling sure that she was suitably sedated. He slowly reached over, turning a dial and lowering the lights again slightly. He wanted her contained...not harmed. He had other uses for this subject, afterall.
"Yes, yes, I'm sure you're still making your pitiful little death threats in there," he sneered at the intercom. "Too bad you'll never be able to act on those, little one. I have far too much to do to worry about dealing with you and your anger management issues." He smirked, turning off the intercom for the time being. After all, Bliss should be unconscious soon enough. Then he could slip in while she was out, deliver the secondary injection, and not worry about having to directly interact with her again for some time. He had other experiments to tend to and time was limited.

For the moment, Bliss's extreme rage subsided. She could no longer keep up her anger. But she wasn't happy, either. Extremely tired, almost to the point of falling asleep where she was. Whatever had been mixed in there was pretty strong. This annoyed her even more, because at the rate it was going, it seemed as though she wouldn't even get the chance to see her captor's face. When she spoke now, it was barely audible, and was just louder than a whisper. "It's my choice whether I act on them or not, but you have no right to choose fo..." She trailed off, finally closing her piercing red eyes.
There was a thought that passed through her mind right before the room faded away. She could pretend to sleep, then when someone came, attack them. It was unlikely that it would be the man -he didn't seem like one who liked to get his hands dirty if he could avoid it. But at least she could send a message to him through that. She didn't have enough energy to go through with it, though. Maybe next time...

Dr. Hakan watched attentively as Bliss finally collapsed, eyes closing. He waited a few minutes, checking the monitors before he spun in his chair, grabbing a syringe from the table as he did so. He was almost finished with this one for a while and could concentrate his attention on his other experiments.
The sound of his footsteps echoed down the long hallway before he stopped in front of a cell door labeled only with an experiment number: #005. He quickly tapped a numeric code into the keypad by the door, swiping his ID card soon after. Within seconds, there was a soft "beep," and the door unlocked with a click. He pushed it open, heading straight to the Absol in the center of the room. He had plenty of time before the tranquilizers wore off, but he didn't have time to waste with his busy schedule. He knelt by the Pokemon, swiftly delivering the injection to her exposed flank before recapping the needle and rising to his feet.
"Sleep well, little one. It may be the last peaceful sleep you have for a while..." Dr. Hakan smirked, whirling about, coat flapping, and stalking out of the cell, door closing behind him with a loud, echoing click as the lock re-engaged.
