Bliss the Absol

((LOL @ CREATIVE TITLE.
>:3))

There was just something so... tiring about the light. The sun, the morning, the day, the bright bulbs that plagued her in her cell... They all just made her feel so uncomfortable. Her entire body just seemed to start shutting down when such intensity hit her fur. The noctural Pokemon took the time she had outside to rest. She was much more active in the darkness that was allowed in her normally-dark cell. Except when someone was feeling sadistic.

Taking this opportunity to rest, the Absol relaxed in the outdoor area of the facility. It was supposed to be used for exercise and getting rid of energy. Instead, she used it to store up her energy for later, when she actually needed it. How it must have seemed odd to the guards who had no idea what was happening. She would fight and claw and attack while in her cell, yet she'd be remarkably calm while alone and outside.

There was just something so... rejuvenating about the light. The sun, the day.. the heat it gave off made him feel energized, stronger than he did when he was trapped inside.

The poor fools didn't know what they'd done.

Quil grinned nastily, and shot of a short burst of flame at the man who'd taken him to this outdoor area. As soon as the foolish human had jerked away from him (cursing, of course), the Typhlosion moved away. He'd pay for his impertinence later, he was sure, but he just couldn't resist such a tempting target..

A red eye shot open to see what all of the fuss was about. Upon seeing the flame-spewing Pokemon rebel against the guard who had been there to prevent such outbursts, the Absol closed her eyes and couldn't help but grin. Undoubtably, he might be useful, too. She'd just have to wait and see just how much potential he had.

A yawn rather loudly escaped her throat as she stood up to meet the Typhlosion. Since she wasn't exactly sure of how he would react to seeing her, she was wary of the larger Pokemon. She had already experienced what happened when she wasn't ready for the more violent Pokemon in the facility. The only reason she took the time to solicit their aid was because they were so powerful, however.

Quil snorted, bemused and irritated at the inadequacies of the human guards. But what did he care, really? It only promised him more opportunities like the last one, after all.

He caught the movement of a white shape out of the corner of his eye, and the distinct sound of a yawn, and the Typhlosion's dark chuckle cut short. What was this, then? An... Absol, he thought, narrowing his own red eyes and turning to face the stranger fully. Quil hadn't been aware that they'd let out any other pokemon while he roamed. What did he care, though? He was outside in the glorious sun. He was ready to stretch his legs. However, if that Absol had any ideas... Quil flared the fire that ringed his shoulders, an unspoken show of his readiness to do battle- at any time.

He snorted again, and began moving into the area proper. If that happened to be in the direction of the Absol... Whatever.

It seemed as though this Typhlosion might be a little more than reluctant to even speak with her, let alone listen throughly to what she was saying. If worse came to worse, she could always try the more... No, probably not a good idea. Even if violence might work, she'd be losing a possible comrade. Plus their height and weight difference would put her at a great disadvantage.

Not to mention she didn't want to add second-degree burns to her list of injuries.

She showed no aggression in response to the Typlohsion's intrusion into her area. However, it was obvious that she had, in fact, noticed his entrance. "Is it odd for you to show such violent tendencies toward the guards, or is it a normal occurance?"

A curious half shrug of his shoulders, Quil's acknowledgment of being spoken to. He did not repeat his aggressive flare- the Absol's own lack of aggressive posturing deflated his hairtrigger temper somewhat... for the moment, in any case. Although he could go for a good battle right now... Pestering the guards only provided amusement for so long. He longed for a test of his strength.

Such a scuffed up little thing, though. She must have been in her fair share of battles, to get those.. Quil bristled unconsciously, intensely curious about the strength of the stranger, and how he matched up next to it.

Ah, but she had spoken, hadn't she? What was it she'd said...

The chuckle resurfaced, remembering past such ... violent tendencies. "Normal." He couldn't stand to be led around like a dog. Not without his small acts of revenge to ease his temper.

Bliss stood to meet the strange other Pokemon as it approached. At their closest, they were only a few feet from one another. She was wary of him already, though showed no outward signs of indecisiveness. Her words were carefully chosen, as always. She would have to be careful if she didn't want to set this one off. At least he had yet to blast her with some beam. The Gyarados is too unpredictable. She sighed to herself.

Even without his answer to her question, she probably could have figured out that he and the guards had butted heads before. His delayed response clarified it completely, however. "Would you be interested in causing more trouble for them, then?" She offered, a smirk forming as she thought about the plan that was slowly becoming a reality.

A pause, then..

A curious sort of grin curled the corners of Quil's mouth, none of it kindly intended. That sounded... fun. To be able to punish the humans here more than he already did.. Oh yes, fun indeed. Not to mention, a very handy outlet for his rage towards his last trainer for selling him off to this place like a slab of meat. It had happened before, this selling off, but his anger was refreshed each time. And he was in no mood to quell it.

"I am very interested."

Bliss awaited patiently for his response. Worst case scenario, he would say no, and get violent. Next best was a plain no. However, the best case scenario provided a helpful ally. She thought that the risk was definitely worth it. "Excellent. I look forward to working with you." She smirked triumphantly. "I, along with a few other Pokemon who have a mindset like yours, are in the process of making out escape. And I can tell you that it will cause more than a little trouble for them." She hissed out the final word with an implied loathing.

A curious expression, this time. Although the Typhlosion had not been in this place for very long compared to the other prisoners, and although he raged against this place and his imprisonment here, escape had not been on his mind. Destruction, yes. Glorious battle, yes. Escape, however, had never entered into the equation. And why would it? This was an island, he thought, surrounded by water. He, as a fire pokemon, stood no chance of breaching it alone.

But... if a group were there...

"Tell me of this escape."

Bliss grew increasingly triumphant with every passing moment. He had agreed to her offer, and they were progressing. But she could not completely trust him yet. Being in captivity for so long had given her a sense that much of what was around her was against her. It would take more than a few moemnts for her to trust him. "My plan thus far is to use a weakness in the humans' security and exploit it for all its worth. We would have to cause a fair amount of trouble to distract almost all of their guards. Somewhere between this distraction and our escape, we will use our advantage to free our entire group from this torture. However, I can't disclose the rest to you." She stopped, her smirk turning to a frown. "There are likely a few among us that likely cannot be trusted. Howevermuch I do not believe you to be one of them, I must hold back all specific information until I am 100% sure. But rest assured, you will know everything I do soon."

He disliked being kept in the dark.

He disliked being kept in the dark very much. This caused the grin he was holding to fold in a bit, turn more into a frown than anything else. But, it sounded like this Absol was going to stand firm on it. Che.... Already, with news of this escape, with promise of 'trouble', Quil was growing restless. He wanted, needed to show the humans the folly of this imprisonment.

However..

"Who?" He growled out the word. Who would put this plan in danger?

"If I knew the answer to that..." She looked directly to him, a small smirk again forming on her face. "Then you'd know everything that I want to tell you right now." She remained calm, honestly answering his question as best she could. It ws true. If she could just tell the difference between those that wished to halt her plan and those who were completely with her, there would be no problem at all. "I can inform you however that there is a certain 'Doctor' here who I believe has an enormous amount of power that could stretch past the borders of this island." And yet, she still didn't even know the horrid human's name.
PostPosted: Sun Oct 21, 2007 6:24 pm

Quil narrowed his eyes, taking a moment to sift through his recent memories. Doctor... He remembered the humans talking about some Doctor or another. He'd assumed the Doctor had power over the staff here (which, by the way, made Quil want to show him how much power he had even more), but he hadn't known that the human had power that extended beyond the island...

"Yes... a powerful human. There must be one. That's the only reason there could be other, human prisoners..." Oh, he'd seen his share of those, paraded down the hall. A deeper frown etched itself into the corners of his mouth. "Betrayed his own species." A depth he hadn't known even humans were capable of.

Bliss thought back. Back to those first few minutes of knowing nothing. Not where she was, not who had dared take her from her home, and not knowing why. Overtime, she had pieced everything together. What the humans had thought she'd done, who they'd decided to call in to stop her. Doubtless those idiots were still being tortured by the horror that they thought they'd rid themselves of. She couldn't help but laugh at their situation. Doubtless it had only taken them a few hours to realize what they'd done. She had been their only defense against the ghosts, though she had not done it for them.

"Do you think any of the humans you've seen might be him? Not once have I actually seen his face. The coward hid from me during all of our first encounter."
