Bliss the Absol

PostPosted: Fri Mar 16, 2007 10:46 am

The short-tempered Absol was almost ecstatic to be out of the cage that she'd been crammed in. Although she had never had a specific need to know or understand the ludicrous form of timekeeping that the humans used, she now wished that she did just so that she'd be able to know how much time that man had kept her inside. That way she could figure out exactly how much pain to put him through before putting an end to him forever.

Bliss padded softly through the exercise yard. Compared to the freedom she'd been able to enjoy before, the enclosed area was about the size of a thimble. A very, very annoying thimble. Her eyes gleamed a bright, aggravated red. She still had no idea what precisely was going on inisde -though the painful premonitions definitely gave her an idea. "Just wait. This won't last much longer." She reassured the Doctor quietly, even though the man wasn't anywhere near her.

"And when it does end... You're mind." She released a hiss. Already ideas were formed in her mind. None of them would work -she couldn't take into account all of the security measures of the island, having only been consticted to the one room.

Bliss wasn't the only one brooding over the Doctor's demise today. The Gyarados had been unceremoniously dragged from his pen, lashing out and managing to smash a few guards up against walls before he'd been zapped into submission, hauled outside, and dropped into the dirt. Spasming from the aftereffects of paralysis, Icarus managed to haul himself upright, his jaws outstretched in a silent bellow of protest, searching for anything to maul that walked on two legs. He hadn't expected to find another Pokemon.

This enclosure was far too small to hold him. Well, at least, that was what it seemed to the Pokemon that had always had as much room to roam as he wanted. Feeling highly agitated by the lack of space, Icarus coiled coil up upon himself, hissing throatily at the Absol. Was he aggressive? Oh yes. Would he snatch her up and crush her if she pissed him off? That too. His furious, burning gaze soon left the female however, fixed upon the guards that, well, stood guard just out of his reach, high above on the watch stations. And the base of those stations? Protected by the electrical fence.

Like a fence had ever stopped him before.

Without warning, the Gyarados struck, rearing up and lashing out with all the speed of a ferocious serpent, his fangs clanging loudly against the steel mesh. A zap of electricity immediately jolted down his body--but Icarus only roared with fury, clamping down hard on his prize and launching straight into a Thrash, ignoring the way the fence squealed in protest, but still refused to give way. The monster's tailed lashed mindlessly behind him, smashing into any who weren't intelligent enough to get out of way--and Icarus continued to work himself deeper and deeper into his rage, dead-set on at least mauling someone.

Her rage temporarily sank below the surface of her fur as the Absol caught sight of the enormous water dragon-esque pokemon in front of her. It positively reeked of rage and hatred for all things living near it -even the plant life, it seemed. Familiar feelings of danger coursed through her. The giant Gyarados was surely going to act against a person, pokemon, or thing near him. She growled back at him and took a defensive stance in case he tried anything.

But apparently, she wasn't his biggest concern. As he launched himself at the electric fence and away from her, the four-legged creature shook her head in disapproval. He was most definitely not thinking at all. If he was even capable of that. She sat down and awaited the end of his outrage. Almost immediately, a thrashing tail came her way, almost intent on taking her out. The female quickly moved up and dodged the flying limb. She removed herself from its range before sitting down again.

This one was kamikaze, she was almost sure of it.

The guards from above were beginning to take action, releasing Pokemon of their own to attack the maddened Gyarados, eventually driving him back and away from the fence. Rearing back, Icarus roared until it felt as though his vocals would tear, firing off a Hyper Beam in retaliation before, with a enraged scream, moving to submerge himself within the pool of water, retreating for now. He was sick, frustrated, and furious, the cool water doing wonders as it embraced his sore, charred skin, a throaty moan rumbling deeply in his throat. The monster's rage, it seemed, had been quelled for now--unable to take another beating so quickly after facing off against that damnable doctor...

His jaw rested on the grass, the rest of him able to completely keep itself underwater, narrowed eyes still glaring death up at the guards from above. He'd kill them too, once he was able, and he'd burn this entire place to the ground. A frustrated hiss coursed deeply in his chest, and, after a moment, Icarus lifted his head. To try again, or...?

While he was mulling it over, his indigo gaze flickered back to the Absol, jaws parting in a vicious expression. Had she been brought here, as well? Though Icarus cared little for her plight, it did make him appreciate other Pokemon as well, realizing that, as always, it was the humes fault for this entire mess...

The smaller pokemon viewed the enormous creature's attempt at the destruction of the guard towers. She realized the end result without thinking, but only because she'd tried so many times before. In no way had she given into the evil doctor who hid behind his machines and tranquilizers. She wouldn't stop until he stopped breathing. This gyarados... Seemed to be just as bent on escaping as she was. If not moreso.

She approached the body of water in which the enormous pokemon rested to help himself recover from his wounds. She couldn't resist laughing slightly at the end of his strong attempt. It only lasted for a few moments before she was able to silence herself with a paw. When she had regained her composure, she was finally able to speak. "Just trying to pelt them into submission isn't going to work. He's made sure that they're ready for that." She added a particular note of disgust at the mere mention of Doctor Hakan.

She watched him with keen blood-red eyes to make sure that he didn't try anything else. She trusted him about as much as she would trust herself. And no one, pokemon or human, had ever truly trusted her.

Was she laughing at him? A rumble of a warning rippled up his body as the Absol approached, then cut off as though it had been silenced with a knife when she began to speak. So--someone who seemed to hold the same loathing that he did for that man..."He has severely underestimated my power." Icarus hissed softly, the pupils of his eyes dilating as they took her in, truly caring little about her position. However, to show such obvious disdain of the doctor was enough to earn grudging respect from Icarus, no matter how little.

"And who are you, to sit idle when freedom is so close?" He questioned savagely, baring his fangs at the fence that kept them penned. "Surely you don't think yourself lucky enough that he'd come in here and simply present you with his throat, less you be just as foolish as the rest of these miserable curs..." Even now, the Gyarados had turned his attention back to the guards, watching, waiting for another moment to lash out.

Bliss didn't hesitate as she approached the water -she knew others like him. Backing off would only make them think you were afraid. "As has he done with mine." She replied, cold red eyes focusing on him unmovingly. It was then that she decided that it would be good to have such a power as his on her side. Even if only once, they'd have to cooperate to get out -unless, of course, he wanted to waste his time blasting at those who were prepared for it.

"If you think I'm merely biding my time, then you're horribly mistaken." She kept a safe distance from the fence purposely. "If I did that, then I would be even more foolish than they. No, I'm waiting, gathering strength." Her eyes followed his up to the guards. My, didn't they look on edge. She grinned. "Attack constantly isn't going to help at all. If anything, they'll grow stronger and you'll only get weaker." In truth, she didn't know when he was planning to attack again. But maybe she could reason with him. Or not.
