Character Name and journal link Palmrya of CastorHP: 41/50 Action: Attempted to punch boss Damage/Healing/Buff Done: 8 Boss HP: 261 Palm honestly wasnt much for throwing things, especially when they were lopped back at you. He wasnt one of the ones hit, but monster had certainly a few of the other around him. He frowned deeply and decided to go at it the way him and Hali would normal handle a fight. Good old fashioned fistacuffs. He chuckled and looked around looking for a good opportunity because he was sure a rock flew past him and people were doing magic too. It was hard to find an opening, but eventually he darted foward, fight clench and went for it, aiming to punch the dirt monster right in the side. He knew he ran the risk of the thing, giving him what for, but he try to scurry back. It had to be a dance, or just like with any fight, he could be really injured.

Sailor Procyon of LiminalityHP: 41Action: Throwing something Damage/Healing/Buff Done: 8 DMG Seeing Illyria not only turn into a human but then a senshi, his eyes sparkled and he perked up even if he was having a hard time with all the pollution. "Yes, I can do that Miss Illryia!" Now wasn't the time to say how gorgeous the fabric of her outfit was but he'd bring it up when they got home because he knew they would get home after this just as he had the other two times. Holding the rock in his hand, the good one this time, he threw it as hard as he could at the thing and hoped that the fact this one felt sharper might do more to it. Pulling the scarf up a bit over his face, he flicked his eyes over the ground looking for another piece of rock or something to keep going at it. He had his magic too but after that last time when the three zombies had gotten him he was more than a bit shy to get in close and try that again even with Illyria here.

Character Name and journal link Super Hati of Cu-SithHP: 57/75 Action: attacking, first stage magic Damage/Healing/Buff Done: 10 + 1 = 11Boss HP: 242/350 Ugh—the thing seemed to explode slightly, projectiles flying—a rock hit him and a horrible, metallic, sweet poison taste filled his mouth and he coughed and spat, trying to get the taste off his tongue. Out of his mouth. Something. He hated that, tasting anything funny. It didn't feel good in a way that sent horrified tingles up his spine and along his scalp—some weird wires crossed in the depths of his brain to send the signals all over the place about something hurting that didn't hurt in the normal way. He coughed deeply, grimaced, and braced against it, eyes blazing as he stared the monster down. "Moor Stalk," he whispered hoarsely, feeling clearer now that Cern's magic had left him. Quote: A deafening silence settles over everyone within a ten foot radius. Shortly after the silence falls, a single, deep bark echoes through the area, and suddenly every enemy within the radius feels like they are being watched by a large, dangerous creature. The silence can be disorienting; no matter how loud anything is, while the magic is in effect they cannot hear anything but the bark--and maybe the sound of something heavy breathing just behind them. Paranoia, anxiety and fear for the invisible thread are prominent for the duration of the magic, and may persist for longer if the player desires. This attack affects all enemies within ten feet and lasts for twenty five seconds; it can be used three time per battle.

Super Sailor DaphneHP: 57 Action: Using Basic Magic Indirect Damage: 10+3 = 13A clod of dirt hit Daphne's arm, and she wiped it off after wincing from the impact, but there was something to it that wasn't just soil. It felt sticky on her skin, and she could taste it, metal and awful, like it had already somehow gotten into her blood. Her head pounded once, twice. She spat, but it didn't help with the taste. She wanted to lay down. Instead, she murmured, "Kinship," and raised her hands towards the monster. Hopefully whatever distraction she could muster would buy time for a few more rocks to land. Her tail puffed up behind her even as she swayed, a little unsteady, on her feet.

One, they looked like they could handle themselves. Two, it had kept him from getting any rock throws in. Well, better late than never. Instead of rocks, however, Basiluzzo opted for his staff. Taking it in both hands, he whirled it over his head and thwacked it as hard as he could into the side of the monster.

Encke, Transcended Eternal Senshi of PlasmaHP: 82/100 Action: Super level magic go! Damage/Healing/Buff Done: 10+2d6 = 16Boss HP: 209/350 Clod of poisonous dirt was not exactly something he could easily block from his face. Honestly, blocking it from his face wouldn't have done any good at all. Felt like it should have, considering now he tasted some nasty metallic bullshit in his mouth that reminded him of all the times he had been to the hospital... "Appetizing," noted Encke, wryly. He ran his tongue over his lips before pointing his finger in the direction of the monster. Maybe the new alien senshi who arrived had the right idea with launching some magic at it. Hopefully Basiluzzo wouldn't get himself in poison range by directly attacking it--

Phaethon, Super Senshi of HappinessHP: 66/75 Action: healing Nembus Damage/Healing/Buff Done: 10 + 6 = 16 HP Boss HP: 225/350 Phaethon was there to help, but within that he had two missions: keep himself upright, and keep Nembus upright. He had thought to throw rocks, but all of his tosses had gone wide. In the mean time, Nembus had taken a fair amount of damage. He rubbed his hands together, then lifted them briefly toward the sky, murmuring under his breath as he directed the healing toward Nembus. It wasn’t much, but it would be something. At the same time, he kept a wary eye toward the monster they were all fighting.

Nembus, Super Senshi of ElectromagnetismHP: 73/75 Action: getting healed, throwing more things Damage/Healing/Buff Done: 1 Boss HP: 208/350 She didn't know what had been thrown at her, but it tasted absolutely vile. There was a part of her stomach that wanted to turn over itself so badly that she nearly threw up. It rocked her balance just a bit, and she was pretty sure that Phaethon had noticed with the way they rushed to heal her. And heal her pretty well too, she actually didn't feel much other than the nasty taste other than once they had finished doing that... "Didn't have to do that!" She said, anyway, even though it had helped. But weren't there others that needed it too? She would be fine. Probably. Evidently though, not quite fine enough to not fumble her ability to throw things... She'd blame the icky metal nasty in her mouth-

Super DSS Róka of the UndertowHP: 66/75 Action: Melee attacking Damage/Healing/Buff Done: 10 Boss HP: 198/350 Beasts like these tended to be more vulnerable to magic, surely, but more was the pity; Róka wasn't about to use theirs on this, not when there'd be another greater fight after. (And also, a little, because they still felt magic was a crutch. They'd gone on diatribes about that enough in their life, so -- they didn't need to have another one at this exact moment. Not in their mind, not out loud, not at all. It wouldn't get anything done.)
It was ignoring them, which was good, as things went; they weren't as durable as they'd been when they were younger, lost power and old aches limiting movement, leaving their breath raspy when they came.
But it didn't mean Róka had to like it. It itched, to not be considered a relevant threat, and god but they wanted a weapon right now. Knives, maybe. Or a spear. They'd even take a sword, if they had to, but they wanted a blade, not their dull claws and their worthless heels. It thought Encke was a threat? They'd acquiesce to that one; he could well take care of himself. But two super senshi and a basic senshi? Some scrawny thing who looked so fragile?
They wanted to at least get some kind of satisfying fight in this week, something that felt remotely worthwhile, and if it made them bleed they were going to do their damndest to get one on Daedalus.
See? Magic was a crutch. They didn't even need their magic, or anyone's, to get this vicious --

Sailor Cepheus of SquidsHP: 41/50 Action: Concerned!! Checking on friends Damage/Healing/Buff Done: N/A Boss HP: 198/350 "My balance's good," Cepheus said, half confirmation and half rebuttal, and then promptly ducked as chunks of soil went sailing past, too soon to really get a look at the new person who'd come over. Who'd gotten hit pretty bad by that dirt, so... not really... great. And so had Encke, which was also not great, because one of the things a person never wanted to see was whatever responsible chaperone figure they'd magnetized themself to taking it on the chin.
But it wasn't really like Cepheus could do a lot about it; she didn't have healing magic and she couldn't cast status cleanses - or cast anything besides really specific and kind of pathetic squid-themed magic, actually - so what she did instead was tentatively put one hand on the other girl's (Daphne's) back, one hand on her arm, and try to steady her. "I'm Cepheus," she said politely, and then immediately made an apologetic expression because this... really wasn't a good time for introductions, probably, maybe? "Anything I can help with?"

BOSS HP: 198/350Illyria’s pollen bomb exploding in its face made the monster stagger back. Though it didn’t have a nose or mouth or eyes to experience hay fever, it still somehow seemed—well, as surprised as an expressionless dirt mound could seem, after being attacked.
And even if, perhaps, it seemed unfazed, even if Procyon and Crisium’s thrown rocks only dented its shell, if Palmyra’s punch didn’t make it flinch, there were still cracks. Spreading, slowly.
Faster, when Hati’s magic struck, when Daphne’s made it turn its head in something almost akin to puzzled interest. Basilluzo’s staff knocked free a chunk, and Encke’s magic conducted through the metals in the soil, and finally, under the relentless assault of those that fought it—
The creature’s shell of tainted dirt cracked, revealing an oily core beneath.
Dirt crumbled away in massive chunks, slamming into the ground and sending out shockwaves—but even those felt weaker, as if it couldn’t maintain the strength it once had.

Basiluzzo, Transcended Knight of UranusHP: 88/100 HP Action: attacking with his staff Damage/Healing/Buff Done: 12 x 2 = 24 Boss HP: 174/350 The chunks falling off and the associated shock waves made him pause with how close he was to the monster. It wouldn't do any good to get all ready to take another swing, just for a falling chunk to take him out. To that end, he also glanced behind and around himself to check on Encke, Daphne, and Cepheus. All were still upright, thankfully. Back to the monster. He wasn't too keen on the oily mass that the chunks falling off had revealed. What kind of damage would his staff do to that sort of substance? Was it solid enough? Well. Only one way to find out. Basiluzzo stepped to the side, but it was only to allow himself the room to wind up before again swinging his staff at the monster. He was gratified with how solid it felt when the blow connected.

Phaethon, Super Senshi of HappinessHP: 63/75 Action: joining the rock throwing party Damage/Healing/Buff Done: 5 x 2 = 10 dmg Boss HP: 164/350 "Wanted to anyway!" was Phaethon's rebuttal to Nembus' protest. That being said, she was clearly alright now, so he had other things to worry about. Namely, the fact that he didn't have offensive magic, and he didn't have a weapon on hand. He was going to start bringing a bb gun or something with him to these things, he swore-- So they had one other option. They could bodily throw themselves at the monster--not ideal, and not something they were looking to do--or they could throw rocks at it. There were still some lying around that the others hadn't gotten to yet, and so Phaethon availed themselves of one. With a wind-up that hopefully put some power behind it, Phaethon let fly.

Encke, Transcended Eternal Senshi of PlasmaHP: 79/100 Action: Electrical current stomp Damage/Healing/Buff Done: (10+2d6) x 2 = 21 x 2 = 42Boss HP: 122/350 Encke stifled a small snicker at the retort, especially seeing the immediate follow-up of the dirt flying through the air -- but it had hit them, to be fair, and not her, and also they would give her that much. Maybe the balance was better than theirs, who knew! He just wanted this monster gone, honestly, because he didn't want to taste any more of that metallic oil, or whatever had been thrown at him. Encke couldn't quite protest things that didn't taste good at the moment. Didn't mean he was seeking them out. Cepheus sought out the new arrival to comfort her, and Basiluzzo doubled down and swung his staff on the monster again. It didn't quite miss Encke's notice the way electricity had sparked along the ground when he had cast his magic last time, so he figured he'd give it another shot for his part. If something was conductive on the ground, he would take full advantage of that every day of the week.
