Dark Mirror Loke Loke

Devlin, largely, just went about his life without taking much stock of the war. It was how he'd always been since awakening as Loke nearly a decade ago, and he continued his disinterest. Not that his regular life was... the best. But he was working on it!

And playing games.

And goofing off.

And generally just. Being someone who existed but didn't really super love what was going on in his life. He made enough to afford a tiny as hell studio. So that was something. Right?

Why, in all this, he decided to get a full length mirror to keep in his little apartment, he wasn't sure. But he did. Mostly with a cloth over it, and a note attached on the inside, facing the mirror, that said GO AWAY.

Apparently, whatever was on the other side of the mirror, didn't wanna listen. Cuz the cloth fell off, and Devlin just stared at his own reflection in there, Poptart sticking out of his mouth, and soon enough, he was pulled on in.

Loke landed on his knees, cussing all the while. The Poptart, at least, he was able to save and finish shoving into his mouth before he stood up. "Jesus ********, why? I haven't even powered up in... uh. Months." If even that--many months was more like it. He groused, not even really caring that he didn't recognize anyone there. That was normal any time Loke came around the Court.

He was more intent on heading to some of the small mirrors, and trying to poke at one. "Can't you shits just... I dunno, merge together so I can get the hell outta here? I've got work I was dealing with." Editing videos also meant he got to pick his own schedule. Not great when he got dragged into Court crap, though.

DM Eternal Mithra

Tom had told her that he was going to be out. Some mission for the Negaverse or some such. She had waved him off saying that she would see him later. As soon as he was out the door she let out a sigh. It had been harder the past couple of months. He had switched up how he was studying and she was helping him in doing so and not taking on any new clients for her job.

At least his parents were bankrolling the two of them.

But she had planned to nap and just relax for most of the day while she waited for him to come back. She felt like doing nothing for the time being.

Unfortunately Destiny City didn't work that way and as soon as she had passed a mirror she had felt herself being pulled into it and thrown into a room which quite a few other Dark Mirror, all looking equally as confused. She grumbled. "Looks like this wasn't planned then." And there was no way to escape for now.

For once Mirrorspace appeared to be intent on keeping them trapped, rather than wanting to spit them out.

DM Basic Bellerophon

Ever since the park incident, Clue had been much more wary of well... traveling anywhere without a buddy. He knew that he probably wouldn't be attacked, but considering what had happened and his interactions afterwards, he wouldn't be surprised if both Order and the Negaverse decided that the Dark Mirror were meant to be attacked.

Which is why he had mostly been keeping to the apartment. Mostly working on his cooking skills and thinking of spray painting designs. He had thought he had felt something outside sometimes but it didn't feel much different and had shrugged it off.

It wasn't until he had been looking at a mirror and attempting to style his hair that he knew something was wrong when he was suddenly pulled in and landed unceremoniously on the floor. It took a moment for him to realize what had happened and he got up, wondering where they all where. When he realized it was Mirrorspace and somehow he had been pulled in he sighed and moved over to the walls of mirrors. They weren't even large enough for his foot. He took a moment to study them, thinking he might have seen something within them, but was unsure.

Eternal Sailor Tantalus

Once upon a time, Tantalus had been a good Senshi. He'd worked hard, for a long time, to earn the black wings that sat heavy on his hips. But he'd been neglecting his duties as a Senshi, of late, in favor of his duties as a husband and a father, and that had meant that he'd spent little time in Mirrorspace for several years.

But there had been a pull.

And he had been helpless to resist.

He looked, around, heart in his throat, for his family, for Leto and Damocles and Persephone, and also for Sappho, and he spotted Persephone fairly quickly--and specifically did not see Amytis, which was weirdly reassuring. It meant that at least someone was at home with the twins, although they should be dead asleep.

Not that children ever did what you wanted.

Tantalus sighed, and looked around. So many unfamiliar faces. It made his heart simultaneously warm and guilty.

------------------

Sailor Persephone

Persephone huffed. For her, this felt like something of an inconvenience--she much preferred the role of "mom" to the role of "Perspehone." Being Mom, or even being Cass, made sense, but being Persephone often felt like trying to make a puzzle fit together when she was missing half the pieces, the box art, and it involved the sky so 3/4 of the pieces were just blue with miscellaneous tiny splashes of white. Every once in a while, she found another piece, and maybe it recognizably fit in with the others, but it often didn't.

Not a fun endeavor, in other words.

But she was here, now, powered up, and she exhaled.

"Well," she said to herself, "this is going to be fun, I'm sure."

------------------

Eternal Sailor Elsa

Elsa wasn't exactly fond of getting ripped away from his patrol and into Mirrorspace, but frankly, it wasn't the worst thing that could happen. He looked around, trying to spot familiar faces--would Chione show up? Hew wasn't sure--and his eyes landed on Acubens.

"Acubens!" He called her name, and causally swaggered up to her and the small group around her. "Any idea what the actual ******** is up this time, or are we just waiting for whatever glorious bullshit Mirrorspace is going to surprise us with tonight?"

He gave a wave to the two unfamiliar Senshi.

"Eternal Sailor Elsa, of the Wendigo. No, I will not let it go, yes, I look fantastic in these skirts, thank you. Acubens is my sister-in-law."

------------------

Sailor Sappho

Sappho fell out of the full-length mirror that delivered her with an unceremonious thwumph, landing flat on her face. She had been jogging when the mirror had pulled her in, and honestly, this just made Sappho feel more convinced that jogging was the Devil's work and she needed to not do it ever.

She stood up, dusted herself off, and looked around, briefly spotting Tantalus and giving him a little wave, which got the motion of the World's Heaviest Sigh in return from him.

Well. That was fine.

Sappho looked around, humming to herself. She'd never actually been in Mirrorspace before, so it was quite interesting to get to see it.

------------------

Sailor Ariadne

Ariadne had sort of been avoiding powering up ever since the absolute catastrophe that was that battle. She'd ran into Encke, but she hadn't powered up much besides that. The whole thing just seemed...messy, to her. Messier than Amytis had made it sound.

But here she was, pulled into a mirror practically against her will, and she sighed, disconsolately. At least there would be something happening tonight, when otherwise she'd just be sitting at home breaking down her latest skating performance and looking for where she'd lost points. This was probably going to be a better use of her time than that, even if she knew self-evaluation was incredibly important.

------------------

Sailor Asuka

Askuka sort of wanted to die inside. Getting spit out of a mirror, messily and unceremoniously, was not exactly the way she wanted to spend her night, and worse, there were tons of people here to see it happen.

Ugh, she just hoped no one was looking when she came flailing out of a mirror and nearly fell flat on her face. She'd been exploring an abandoned building in the city, and pulled a cloth off an old mirror, and--whoops, sucked right in.

Well! She would just have to see what was going to happen. That was all.

Super Itokawa.

Boon-nam was still not the most active of dark mirror senshi but he wanted to work on it, had been working on it slowly. He also wanted to balance his home life and school, as he wanted to keep his grades up so he could earn a good job. He and Clue lived on their own and so good jobs were needed so they could do well for themselves, and make a comfortabel home for themselves. He wanted it so badly. Something that was theirs and that they'd worked for and earned.

When he heard Clue in the bathroom one moment and didn't the next he went to investigate only to find himself being pulled into the mirror. Landi ng on the ground, and powered up, the dark haired male took a moment to look around. Ok, so mirror space had pulled them in. This was new for him but he wasn't too worried, not with so many people around.

What was unexpected, though perhaps it shouldn't have been, was seeing Clue also here and powered up. "Clue." He didn't worry here, around the others, about using the others name. "I at least managed to turn the sink water off before I got pulled in." Which was good...for both their sinka nd floor as well as their water bill.

Eternal Kiuchi

Looking over toward Macholz he shook his head slowly. "I doubt it'll be a wraith we'd have to fight, if we have any fighting to do. Mirrorspace seems to have some level of sentience...and power. It's thrown other things at us to fight including us somehow winding up in space and nearly winding up crystalized people." It wasn't nice being a mirror senshi when your own home, since they didn't have their own homeworlds, tried to kill them every so often.

"Also walls closing in on us has been a thing mirrorspace has tried in the past." Never wraiths, at least not that he could remember. There had been those odd ones but those weren't normal wraiths. He was sure of that. Acubens had even struck him during that whole incident. That had been so long ago though....

"I wasn't powered up either. Mirrorspace gets what it wants." Rolling his shoulders as he spoke, leaning into Acubens side. Even though he was an eternal himself, and had well earned his wings, the senshi of gorgons was one who liked to lean on others...litterally and otherwise. "I wonder who else will turn up." The words a whisper for just Acubens to hear. He was wondering about his sister and his partner as well as her brother. Anyone else from there sorta little odd family.

Startled by Elsa's loud calling of Acubens he sighed, why were some people so loud? "Nice to meet you, and it seems we are waiting right now." As if it wasn't obvious. Mirrorspace was likely waiting till it got as many of them here as possible, not that it was a lot of them. They were a small faction.

"Sadalsuud, would you like to join us?" Calling over to the other senshi. It would be best, in his opinion, if they all kept as close as possible in one huddled up group of chattering people. There was no way of knowing what mirrorspace might be planning. He didn't like people being on the outskirts or hanging back. It just didn't seem safe to him.

Eternal Sailor Damocles

To say, it had been a while... would be an understatement. Damocles had never meant to show any less devotion to his family... It was just... one took control over the other.

He'd found himself a bit surprised, when the pull of mirrorspace called, and he went with little argument. The Eternal side to himself, casting a quick glance around before spotting an all to familiar fuku.

Damocles gently dropped his chin on the top of Tantalus' head. "I believe Ava and Nami are both at the house." He said, almost as if reading the others mind. He had vaguely recalled Nami chattering about something she'd bought for the kids earlier in the day. The blonde rubbed at Tantalus' arms, trying to offer support and ease any stress.

"...It's been a while, hasn't it."

DMS Tsukuyomi

More Dark Mirrors were arriving, being spat out by the only full-length mirror that apparently only stuck around long enough to dump more senshi into the room, but not long enough to escape through. At least it seemed others shared the sentiment that Tsukuyomi felt inside, of that there were much better things to be doing than being stuck here. Still, she had moved away from the center of the room as soon as she gained her bearings, not keen on anyone 'bumping' into her when the mirror brought them here, and had taken up refuge in a spot where she felt like she would be unbothered, maybe.

Well, everyone gathered so far seemed to have some familiarity with each other for the most part, which was both a relief to Tsukuyomi, because it meant they would likely group up with each other, but also made her a little. Jealous? Oh well, whatever- she'd get over it.

Tsukuyomi watched as more people continued to be spat out by the mirror, some sticking the landing, and some... not so much. One person in particular caught her eye, or rather, their outfit, and she was curious as to what exactly they were the senshi of.

"Wow, you almost stuck the landing," she told the newly arrived Dark Mirror (Asuka), "I'll give that a 5.5 out of 10."

"Nice digs, though."

Dark Mirror Eternal Sailor Acubens

Acubens accepted the plushie from Kiuchi with a small smile, and stroked it’s head to soothe herself. In moments like these, she truly understood why he carried these around. Maybe she should start doing the same… she had the strangest feeling that her brother did the same thing, even if he was never brave enough to take it out in front of others like Kiuchi was. Maybe some kind of fidget toy or squishy thing. Something to occupy her hands while her mind raced a mile a minute.

Someone calling for help -- trapped in a mirror

She’d nearly forgotten. As Avignon approached her, she reached out to squeeze his shoulder soothingly while considering Kiuchi and his theory. She knew better than to discount anything Mirrorspace could throw at them, and so the idea that someone could be stuck in here asking for help returned old anxiety to Acubens nerves. Altea had called for help, hadn’t she? And look where that had landed them.

"Safety is always first priority," she finally agreed quietly with Avignon as Lacerta arrived. The newest among them didn’t approach her, and while Acubens was nervous watching her roam around on her own, investigating for herself, she couldn’t stop the rush of pride at her independence.

"Acubens," she finally introduced herself distractedly. After a moment, however, she recovered and thrust her hand out for Machholz. "Sorry, I’m Acubens." She even forced a grin as best she could. "I hope it’s just a wraith too. But, you’re right, if people are getting pulled in when they aren’t powered up… well that’s not exactly good news."

Elsa calling her name caught her attention next.

"Hey, Elsa," she sang back. "If I knew what was going on, don’t you think I’d get us out of here? I’ve got your sister to get home and mack on, after all." She tossed him a wink and a wide smile.

Dark Mirror Super Sailor Logos

Logos had also not been powered up when she was sucked through her own mirror as she readied herself for bed. One moment she was in an oversized tee shirt, passing in front of the mirror to get into bed, and the next she was here, powered up and ready to go for… something.

Around her activity buzzed and people spoke, but she gravitated towards the woman that she defaulted to when Miss Lesath was not around. Standing at attention next to Acubens, she waited and listened. Everyone seemed confused, so there was no point in wasting breath asking what was going on. If what she had learned from her superiors about Mirrorspace was correct, and it usually was, then they would learn why this strange and fickle place had called them all here in good time.

And she was inclined to agree with Acubens. It would not be a pleasant reveal.

Dark Mirror Sailor Tegmine

Tegmine arrived with a yelp and a tangle of long limbs. He, like his sister, had been powered up when he had been deposited here. And, like his sister, he had no idea why or how it had happened.

"Is it your first time, too," he asked the senshi he’d landed next to (Loke). There was pain in his voice, but he tried not to show it in his face as he rubbed the shoulder that he’d landed on as he fell in. Not the most graceful landing, he’d admit, but aside from his shoulder, the most wounded thing about him was his pride.

"Welcome back, I guess," he tried to joke with the other senshi as best he could, but the joke didn’t reach his voice. Like his sister, he was preoccupied with questions. "Maybe we should all try and keep in a central group or something. In case this place tries to split us up?"

Dark Mirror Sailor Rana

Rana, who had previously been minding her own business, had been wandering around the city as Fanglan when she passed by an advertisement featuring a full length mirror proclaiming the benefits of some kind of skin treatment. She was inspecting the text which talked about unlocking inner beauty when she had been rather rudely wrenched from her spot and deposited in the room with everyone else.

And worst of all, she’d dropped her crepe.

"My crepe," she murmured pathetically, staring at her empty hands. She took a moment to mourn before she looked up to inspect her surroundings.

Her brother was here (Kiuchi), and she offered him a small wave and a smile. He was with the rest of the group that she usually hung around with when she was powered up, but she didn’t really feel like joining the group. She’d been a senshi for a fair amount of time now, and it was time for her to branch out. She needed to make new friends, stand on her own two feet, and be ready for more responsibility.

And so she wandered over to two senshi, one of whom seemed to be dressed similarly to her (Tsukuyomi and Asuka).

"Acubens always said that Mirrorspace was super rude," she began with a wave. "But I guess I didn’t expect it to be this rude! It took my crepe from me when it took me!" She stuck out her bottom lip in what she hoped was a disarmingly adorable play pout.

Eternal Kiuchi

Watching as his sister arrived Kiuchi took the time to stare at her, so she was here as well. He'd need to keep an eye on her, he didn't trust mirrorspace, he'd need to keep her safe incase something happened. He was happy to see her, though it brought a good amount of worry with it, because this was experience in something. He wasn't even sure what was going to happen to them, you never could be sure when mirrorspace was involved.

Nodding his head towards his sister, smiling as he did so, he watched as she went off to greet two other dark mirror senshi. He didn't know the two but he was sure his sister would know them well enough by the end of this, whatever this was, and he'd find out from her later when they were all home. His sister was gifted with talking to people.

Turning his focus back to Acubens and his little group he smiled down at her. Sometimes it paid to carry a plushie around, if not for himself than for someone else. "We've got enough here to keep safe." Even if there were a lot of people to watch out for, which would not be easy, there were enough of them with a decent amount of useful magic that he was sure they could handle things. "Acubens...." Whispering he leaned down to her ear. "It won't be like last time...not like her." Not like Altea. He'd told her about the person he'd encountered and while it could be like that, all a ploy, he didn't think the odds were there for a second round of the same thing. It was likely to wind up something different.

"We'll keep everyone safe. We can do it Acubens."

Prince Remarque

There were very few times that Remarque thought it was appropriate to tap into more power than his Eternal stage granted him, and nearly all of those times happened to be while he was in Mirrorspace. It was just safer to have that power on hand when you didn’t know what you were walking into.

Like, now.

One minute he’d been exploring Mirrorspace, and thinking it might be a good time to head home before it got too late, and the next he was stepping out into a room full of other Dark Mirror Senshi, with hundreds of tiny little mirrors lining the walls.

Mirrors too small to pass through.

He looked around and a frown settled on his face.

There were no mirrors large enough to pass through, and the one he’d come out of had disappeared almost as soon as he’d stepped through it.

...And, no one seemed to know what was going on.

Cool.

He briefly thought about returning to his Eternal form, just so he wasn't smothering anyone with his energy signature--but this was Mirrorspace, and he didn't want to be caught unawares. Instead, he did his best to draw his wings closer so he wasn't taking up too much space in this slowly crowding room.

His eyes narrowed as he observed the mirrors, looking for something that he was missing. Mirrorspace always gave them what they needed, right? That was how this place worked, how it tried to keep them happy so they stayed attached.

So what did they need so badly that it brought them here?

DM Super Sadalsuud

The sound of cursing had drawn her attention to one of the newer arrivals that the periodically appearing mirror had deposited in (Loke) and Sadalsuud couldn't help but give a sympathetic wince at a landing that looked to be about as awkward as hers had been.

She took a couple of hesitant footsteps in his direction as she asked quietly, "Are you..."

Her voice trailed off as another senshi came tumbling awkwardly through the randomly appearing mirror
(Tegmine).

She tried again "Are the two of you okay?"

And whilst it had been a while since Sadalsuud had really put herself out there - at least when it came to Court interactions - it looked like the mirror had been kind of rough on them both.

She had heard
Kiuchi call out to her as she awkwardly hovered and turned to give the taller senshi a slight nod to acknowledge his words.

She also noticed
Mr Rem although, it would have been hard to miss the aura given how very strong Mr Rem's aura was, although Sadalsuud couldn't say when he had arrived.

She stayed where she was for the moment however, green eyes glancing at the two court members who had been 'deposited' not-so-kindly into the room.

As more Dark Mirror Senshi seemed to be sucked into the strange room, there was a noticeable power surge--occasionally--from just beyond the mirrors. It was like there was something there--a presence that they could feel but couldn’t see.

And, more than that, there was an incessant hum of energy through every little mirror.

No matter how much Loke badgered them to merge together, they didn’t seem to have any desire--or ability--to do so. When he poked at it, the glass rippled, and Lacerta would notice the same effect. If she tried to push her finger through it, it would pass as easily as if she were mirrorwalking--only, beyond the mirror was cold.

And, if anyone kept a finger, a hand, there for too long, it might feel like something was brushing against it--or trying to grab onto them.

It wasn’t forceful, it was desperate.

And, the closer they were to the mirrors, the louder the voice beyond it was.

Sometimes, the whisper of a distant voice--“Hello?” or, “Can you hear me?”

It echoed, beyond the mirror.

Some of them rippled, like something might have been trying to come out. Some of them glowed, and seemed to burst with power.

There was no telling how long they had been in there, or how long they would be in there--but the room seemed to be shifting. Sometimes, it seemed like the ceiling stretched just a bit further out of reach. Sometimes the wall seemed to stretch, just a little further out. And yet, always, every last inch of it was covered in a mirror.

Beneath them, maybe lost amongst the conversations or the other distractions, something was scratching. It wasn’t enough to send vibrations to the floor, but anyone listening closely enough might be able to pick up the constant scratching--sometimes long and slow, sometimes fast and desperate, but always there.

And, gradually getting louder.

Quote:
The longer the Dark Mirror Senshi are in this room, the stranger things seem...someone--or something?--is moving from beyond the mirror, and has sense enough to speak to them.

And, more than that, something seems like it's trying to claw its way up to them through the ground...

Whatever's going on, energy seems to be pulsing through Mirrorspace. For better or worse, they're all still trapped here.

Dark Mirror Senshi of any rank can be drawn into the mirrors; if someone was already in Mirrorspace at the time of the battle, when they attempt to walk out of Mirrorspace they will arrive here. DM Basic Hitomi

Tiffany Takada had been in Mirror Court for a couple months now. She hadn't been very active in the court. Honestly, she didn't feel the motivation to power up unless absolutely necessary. Last time she wore that unnecessary revealing uniform (honestly, what kind of pervert designed that thing?) she had ended herself in the middle of a big battle where she and her kitty friend Cora had been attacked by tentacles which had scared Cora quite a lot. Speaking of Cora, she was keeping her company while she was practicing for her recital of next holiday season. The kitty seemed somewhat nervous for some reason. Tiffany didn't pry, she wasn't feeling like it today. She had things to focus on, no time to gossip now.

Suddenly, she felt something strange. Something was calling her, silently but surely. Confused, she put her violin aside for now and looked around.

"Did you feel that?" she asked out loud.

"Feel what?" Cora inquired, tilting her head. Her tail was fidgeting while she was trying to focus on her thoughts and read the atmosphere with her mauvian senses. "I can't sense it…."

"Okaayyy," Tiffany pondered out loud, crossing her arms. She couldn't shake the feeling. It was like calling her. A finger tapping on her cheek, she wandered towards the wall where her mirror was.

"Hmmm… I think, I think… I think it's coming from…" She was right in front of the mirror. "... this mirror."

Suddenly, something clicked to her. The call was strong. She was in front of the mirror. And she was the Dark Mirror Senshi. Oh. Oh. Oh no.

It was too late to do anything. Tiffany could only turn to look towards the kitty on her bed before the pull came. It was swift, it was violent. One second and she saw Cora startled, frightened eyes. Next second she transformed and was violently thrown on the floor of some white room, full of teeny tiny mirrors. There were voices coming from those mirrors, some beings moving inside of them… and, was that scratching?

Hitomi pressed her ear against the floor.

"Excuse me," she called out to the nearest senshi to her. "I don't know much about this magical girl business but I think there is some kind of being below us. Is that normal?"

Hitomi waited a moment for answer before she pressed her ear against the floor again. "I'm not sure what that is but the sound is louder...." she muttered calmly, almost analytical. "Is it coming closer?"

The Space Cauldron
Hitomi tries to makes sense of that sound below.

DMS Super Lacerta

The fact that the mirror's surface yielded under her touch was nothing that she wasn't really doubting. This was mirror space after all. What she hadn't expected was the strange sensation of cold air on the other side. Her hand left the mirror for a moment as the strongest energy signature flared to life in the room. From that fact alone Lacerta guessed that Remarque had just been dumped into the same room as they were all in now. Going back to studying the mirrors Lacerta let her hand pass through the surface once more before frowning at the sharp difference in ambient temperature. It was beyond strange. Her gaze caught the reflections that were shown to her before she sighed and made the move to withdraw her hand. It was only at that moment that she felt as if something had attempted to grab her hand.

"Okay, that is so not of the norm,"

Teal colored eyes scanned the mirrors around the room before she backed away from them. Her gaze was even as she confirmed that Remarque had indeed joined the throng of dark mirror senshi. He'd have to know what was going on, right? Moving to stand near the Dark Mirror royal Lacerta kept her voice quiet before addressing Remarque in a soft voice, "Not sure if you know what this place is - but it seems like there's something on the other side of the small mirrors. The air feels different on the other side - but I also felt like something brushed against my hand moments ago."

Dark Mirror Sailor Rana

Rana caught Kiuchi’s stare, but worked to ignore it. She may have wanted to run to him and stay close to the other senshi that she knew… but she had to be strong. How else would she ever become the senshi that her court needed if she didn’t venture off on her own, right? She turned and gave her brother a firm nod, a sure smile, and a small wave, and then returned her focus to the senshi around her.

A call from next to her caught Rana’s attention. She looked down to see another similarly dressed senshi (Hitomi) observing the floor. She knelt down next to her, pressed her ear to the floor like the other senshi did, and frowned. It was getting closer. She gave the newly arrived sensi a worried look, her brow furrowed over her eyes.

“Judging by the alarm on the older senshi’s faces,” she offered quietly. “I’d say no. Then again, it doesn’t seem like the rules of ‘normal’ really apply to this place…” Not that she’d been here all that often. She couldn’t, being a basic senshi. And Acubens had been adamant that she could only explore mirrorspace with her, Tegmine, or Kiuchi. Even Logos was too new for Miss Acubens’ comfort.

“I’m Rana, by the way,” she offered, sitting back on her heels and fixing her fuku. “Senshi of the Kuchisake Onna.” She “snipped” two fingers together, mimicking the motions of a pair of scissors, and winked at them.
