Danaë would circle around the camp, making sure of what she saw. Narx was facing 5 Sabers by himself, well, with Sasssilla's help. She knew Narx needed her help, but she felt bad for the little fox. He was fighting against a predator on his own. It was time for the young one to learn, you sometimes need to fight on your own. Danaë couldn't help as images went through her mind. It wasn't time to be a sentimental fool.
Danaë was ready to to join the fray, having seen enough. She was beginning her dive when she felt something clamp down on her leg. She'd steady herself to hovering for a moment. She would look at the baby attached to her leg. She would give a kick to it with her socked foot. Whether it detached or not, she would dive down nearly on top of Narx. She would deviate from Narx a little to hit the one closest to him with Nightkiss, before sliding in the snow with her socks. "Ho-oh, snow and socks do not mix!" She was going to say something else, but honestly, she did not like the feeling.

Profile: Profile Weapon: Gravityflux (Glaive/shotgun/double axes) gaia_angelleft Action: pursuing gaia_angelright ~~~------~~~-----~~~------~~~~~~------~~~-----~~~------~~~ Her team was accounted for so far, with Ylva blinded from her own attack it seemed, and Xanthe just next to her. Taking the chance on timing for the latter, her team was looking to have the most advantageous space and preparation to take the next steps into combat. The only other was Danae, who was still in her aerial surveillance, that had taken that timing away from diving down, taking only one sabyr out on her diving, though towards her boyfriend, who Sasselia had though was safer than before. Given all the tree hopping, he had the time, but due to hers and Xanthe's own encounters, she had lost her pacing of time to the goat faunus, and now there he was, taking care of more than one pursuer, with Danae just skidding to a halt. That was one who could help Narx already. Fortunate for Xanthe and her on the glyph being set. Watching the two sabyrs being smothered down under the weight of the glyphs, she had fired shots at them to end their misery under the 300 pounds of weight, turning her attention back to her team leader. "It is of n-no trouble!""
Taking her own defensive stance, the blue haired woman would scope quickly from where she was standing, her ears intent on listening to Xanthe's idea on the glyphs. Taking chance to turn her attention that way, there wasn't a safe perimeter for her to lay a glyph without harming both owl and goat. "Either direction I t-take on a glyph could either harm him with the grimm, or her as well... I-I could set an anti gravity trap, but he would just be hovering in the air w-with them all still attached, and Danae mixed in." As much as she wanted to, there was no trying on that note. Too much risk. Overhearing Ylva asking upon the current ones in need of help, based on distance, her helping Narx with Danae made more sense. Seeing as Rin was having problems of his own happening, all while being alone to fend for himself, she had a decision in mind. "I-I can more so be of use to help our fox companion. He needs the help just as much, and since Danae is there, I would hope she would be assisting him more, just as she had done s-so already... I-I can see Ylva also heading his way as well. I-I can cover helping them out. As a senior, I must make sure the new b-blood is able to be looked after as well. I can more help Rin than I can help Narx at this point, given the differentiation of n-numbers." Hoping Xanthe wouldn't have minded, she had braced herself just as another oncoming grimm was trying for them, only to fire a warning shot at it to back away with a normal bullet. Turning her attention to Rin, she had awaited until Rin was safely in the anti gravity trap of hers, before shifting her shotguns to axe mode, taking a good attempt to throw one of her axes at the oncoming grimm that was pursuing below the glyph itself. At the risk of it, she had been down to one axe for a weapon, but she made to assurances for Rin, Xanthe, and herself, pointing out to lay two more gravity traps between the distance of them and the young fox, laying the trap just beside the gravity trap. Hoping to get a few into it, should there be success on it, it could grant an opening for Rin to attack from his angle above. Laying the one in front of herself, Xanthe and she had two gravity traps on both sides of them now, granting them protection from two angles.

It is a perfect semblance for trapping Grimm and enemies, though in order to make the glyphs, she must make physical contact with either her hand or her weapon, which allows her to channel her semblance through her bullets or glaive. When her glyphs are laid onto the battlefield, it takes one post for the glyph to be set: the glyphs white on first appearance. The glyph is activated the moment it turns dark blue in colour. Starting at level 0, she can make up to four glyphs, that are 5 meters (15ft) in diameter. Each level, the number of glyphs she can make, and set are increased but the sizes remain the same. Her glyphs are not invincible, as they can be taken down by humans a level or more stronger than her, or by those who exceed the 600-pound limit. The pressure of weight for each level is shown: - Level 0 - 150lb - Level 1 - 300lb - Level 2 - 450lb - Level 3 - 600lb

Those on Sasselia's level or lower, it takes 2 posts of focusing aura to break the effects effects. Those with enhanced, or above average strength in skill have a more high resistance.
Xanthe missed with a thrust, then followed it up with a second thrust with a forward step that scraped the side of a crouching sabyr, that had up until that point thought it had worked out her range. The damaged caused it to retreat into the trees. The shower of sparks from Rin probably helped distract it for such an easy trick to work. Ylva had misinterpreted her orders but that was on Xanthe more than anyone else and in the long run probably made more sense for Ylva to help the other boy. She noted to herself that the first thing she was doing after this fight was asking everyone their names. Xanthe had every confidence in Ylva being able to help their unfortunate lookout. "Well no sweat then, Ylva's heading that way so the odds will be in our favour." There was no point overruling Sass's judgement in the glyph department, she was the expert. "I agree, let's help him." While Sass's explanation had been well reasoned and sound, Xanthe had already been planning on helping the lad since he was now fighting on his own. As a plus Sass had also inadvertently told her the names of their companions which cut down on the confusion Xanthe would have added. Xanthe had been covering Sass's back, mostly by thrusting at anything that came close and taking advantage of the gunshots to deal serious damage to the distracted ones. "Lets clear out the ones on us and then help out Rin then." She intentionally left herself open on the side with the trap and prepared to strike if something fell for it.
Operating on panic and moment to moment actions, Rin would receive some relief in hearing the Grimm yelp. It meant his trap had worked, at least in part, and as his stance moved enough for him to lay eyes on the creature he was glad to see it at least momentarily pierced by the hard-light dust. Seeing an opportunity, Rin would flee towards the glyph Sasselia had pointed out prior and ascend high up into the air! Much more than he was expecting truthfully; it was almost like he had walked onto an erupting geyser, from what he had heard of them. Scrambling to adjust his balance and stance, and floundering as he was unaccustomed to this, he would try to adjust to at least be upright and not spinning so he could aim his bow to do something. By the time he was able to come close to a semblance of stability, he would see an axe fly straight at the Grimm he had pierced prior with his trap and end the threat that was that particular Sabyr. 'That may not have been my most graceful display, but I survived at the very least,' he thought to himself with relief and taking a breath that felt like the first big one in a while; even if things had progressed rather swiftly. Having a respite, no matter how long, Rin would survey the battlefield. Everyone seemed to be doing well, for the most part, save Narx who was being buried under Grimm. The only one who seemed to have opportunity to assist him till now was his girlfriend Danae, though Rin could see one of the girls making her way there as well. Sasselia and her companion were in a semi-defensive position but seemed to be holding well.
Having found Narx surprisingly to be the worst off, Rin would try to focus and notch an arrow. He needed to make his shot count, lest he accidentally strike Narx who was very close to his targets. He didn't want to make things worse, but it was all he could do. He, at the very least, had a high vantage on the Grimm. Pulling back the drawstring to his cheek with his right hand fingers, he would take a deep and steadying breath as he concentrated aura onto the arrow. Every little bit would have to count. Taking aim for the one on his non weapon arm, he would release the shot to hopefully hit true. As it flew to its target, he would use his semblance to create another shower of sparks on impact; to hopefully catch a few more Grimm off guard again. It may not work, but he had to give it his all. As soon as the shot struck, he would be carefully loading another arrow and steadying himself to try and fire again; hoping to get rid of the Grimm or at least distract it from eating Narx.

As she traveled her way towards the dark-haired boy, her sight returned. Just in time too as she would have to avoid the bird girl from earlier as well upon entering the fray. Though she could not see her companions at this moment, she had faith in their combat abilities, so she would not check on them. In confronting one of the Sabyrs that got in her way. As it growled, she roared back without fear before slashing at it with Ulv Lofte and making to evade the coming retaliation of either claws and/or teeth that would kick off their confrontation. If she's able to defeat it quickly, she'd then move on once more to assist in battle with the eye-patch boy and bird girl."Hang on,"She shouted to let both bird and male that they were not alone. There were more than anticipated, but that didn't stop the Yowlumne warrior."I hope they are stronger than they appear,"the wolf girl though, perturbed by their enemies and the momentarily weak displays of both students. Ylva only hoped to see the two older students do better in battle...

Narx was now panicking. He had never been abandoned for so long before to so many grimm. He had stalled and stalled, and only a few shots were fired in support. And now, Sabyrs had him. One was voraciously digging into his leg. Another was on his feet. A third was wrestling him for his hammer. And his Aura was draining fast! He held onto his hammer for life and siphoned aura from it to himself to bolster his defenses. He would twist and turn and hope to free himself but they had far too many holds. "Arrrg!" he shouted and yelped as he squirmed. He regretted not using a shockwave now, but he also had expected support much sooner. He wasn't able to launch a shockwave attack now that he was in their grip. But then he saw it up above, a flash of warmth. Danaë. Like a Valkyrie she swooped in in and unleashed an attack on one of them. He felt a huge wave of release wash over him. He still wasn't free from their grasp, but he was able to pivot onto his side with his back against the tree which helped.
"About time Sweetheart!" he shouted with a strained smile. He would find a moment of weakness for the Sabyr wrestling him for his hammer, and then take one hand off and reach for his trusty Katana, and with one swift movement he would unsheathe and slash the Sabyr that was on his hammer. Right across it's neck. It would be enough damage to dust most small grimm, but a Sabyr it might be less than lethal on. If successful he would then take his hammer and smash the other Sabyr on his leg. He would still have one on his feet trying to drag him out regardless but he was heavy with his hammer and so that was not as big of a concern.
╔═════════════════════════════════════════════════▨✥▨═════════════════════════════════════════════════╗ Danea's blade sank into the shoulder, just behind the armour, of one of the Sabyr's attacking Narx, creating a long gash until Nightkiss reached the bone armour along its spine, which stopped the knife. Letting go of Narx it gave a sharp yelp of pain before collapsing into ash.
One of the Sabyr's bitting Narx let go to face Ylva. It didn't seem to know how to handle the wolf roaring back at it. The hesitation would cost it, as Ylva's blade sliced its chest. Enraged it pounced forward, but Ylva had predicted this and dodged the attack. After a few more exchanges the Sabyr collapsed in a pile of ash and Ylva stood victorious.
Sasselia's axe successfully buried itself in the chest of the Sabyr chasing Rin. The creature seemed to freeze in time for a moment, before disintegrating into ash and her axe fell blade first into the snow. The traps she had set would prove to not be needed, as all that remained of the Grimm pack were quickly being dispatched. Though Xanthe and Sass would have one last chance to show off as the baby ravager Danea had kicked off came tumbling from the sky. (Feel free to kill it)
Rin's arrow hit true, causing a shower of sparks and giving Narx the opening he needed to draw his katana. With a slash, three became two and with a mighty swing of his hammer three was whittled down to one.
The final Sabyr had a few arrows sticking out of it due to Rin's air assault but was still standing. Seeing the rest of it's pack defeated it moved to run off into the woods. (Feel free to finish it off if your character would do so, or let it go)
Silence settled over the camp as it seemed all the creatures had either been destroyed or escaped. Luckily their equipment and tents had been untouched. The group had approximately 4 hours till dawn to get what rest they could.
Please have your characters ready to leave camp by the next mod post.

Danaë watched as everyone start to help her and Narx. It seemed like Danaë didn't do much, but she had dusted one Grimm, and that was what she was good at. Getting a hard enough hit on something to disable them. She would look over to Narx. "Ho-oh, I know I'm late...I had a...Ravager attached to my leg..."
Once the last one left, she would go over to Narx. She would look him over, and then she would hug him. "I was worried when I saw you surrounded." Her fathered brow brushing against his face. She would let go of Narx, and then look to the others. "Good job dispatching the Grimm. That's probably the first of many fights out here Ho-oh. She would hoot nervously. "Hooo was going to be on second watch tonight?" The who sounded more like a traditional owl hoot, than the question. Once the answer was given, she would go back to her tent, hopefully with Narx, to be able to cuddle with him.
In the morning, Danaë would get up, her body not really ready to get up. She would get dressed in the same thing that she was in yesterday. She would step outside. She would shiver, as she looked at the sky. Part of her wondered if they should just travel at night, and sleep when it was warmer during the day. She didn't know anything about this area. She would then start to gather wood, since they were near some. Maybe this was stupid, but maybe it would help. She didn't really know if she should ask for help. She would pick up as much as she could, and tie it to her vehicle. She didn't know where they would make camp that night, but a fire to warm up sounded nice, if only she had feathers on her feet.
Dealing with the Sabyr would be easy enough since her confusing it."Simple beast,"The wolf-girl sighed, a bit disappointed. Having no more time than that to contemplate, it seemed the two love-birds were finally getting their act together, and soon after that, their enemy was retreating from everyone's assaults."I highly doubt this is the last we've seen of them,"the wolf girl thought as the battle was over for now."Good job everyone,"Ylva said, loud enough to be heard.
Looking to the older students, her expression was not one that said she was impressed...It didn't say she was disappointed either. Obsidian eyes would then turn to the others as they gathered once more in the campsite."Anyone hurt...I shall take next watch if there are no objections,"The wolf-girl inquired, once that was answered, she would turn to the older students with her answer to the earlier question; seeing as she was not so tunnel-visioned as the lovesick pups.
If there were no objections, the petite wolf girl would sit outside her tent and do her watch. Ears twitching once in a while."What is really out here,"Sylvia pondered. If there was no one communing/taking watch with her, she would remain silent until there was something to report/watch ended.
~~Timeskip~~ Her night-watch ended just a couple hours later, so her rest was short before she would be awakened by light. Shivering, she would take a heating implement and stick it in her jacket before she would get the strange vehicle ready for them to move out."Anyone need help,"The wolf-girl inquired; helping those that would answer yes to her offer before she would be ready to go once more."So much cold...makes me miss home,"Sylvia thought with a sigh as she bit into the first ration of the day. Once every member of her team was ready, she would get on her own to ride out with the rest of the group.

Narx was so relieved when his allies finally came to his rescue. It didn't take long for all the Sabyrs to finally be dispatched. "Phew!" He shot Danaë a smile, and embraced her back when she hugged him, but then she said something about her leg being attacked by a ravager. "Show me." it was a demand, not a question. She liked to hide her wounds from him. He would use his semblance to heal any wounds she had swiftly. Fortunately it was nothing big. He would wince as he felt the pain sequestered into his own body.
"Thanks everyone!" he said making sure to make eye contact with all who helped him. Ylva, and Rin, and Sass. He would get up, mostly uninjured. Just roughed up a bit. Fortunately his aura was strong. Though he has expended 25% of his aura in that fight just tanking the many nibble and bites.
He would make sure all was good before turning into his tent for sleep. He knew Danaë would be tagging along, she probably could barely sleep without him anyways. It was time to rest up and move at first light. "Hopefully this place won't be too crazy..." he said as he dosed off.
The next morn he would help pack stuff up and get the snowmobiles all situated and ready. Making sure to check the oil and antifrost liquid levels. "No help needed here." he'd respond to the wolfgirl. He didn't know her well, but she had a scary look so part of him didn't know if he should make an introduction or not. But it did feel wrong not to know all of your team members.
Profile: Profile Weapon: Gravityflux (Glaive/shotgun/double axes) gaia_angelleft Action: pursuing gaia_angelright ~~~------~~~-----~~~------~~~~~~------~~~-----~~~------~~~ Well, wasn't that a complete waste of laying out extra glyphs. The safer than sorry method had been followed upon the scenario, but luckily there had been no real use for them. Having done so incase more came out of the shadows after Rin and them had proven to have been unnecessary. He managed to take care of all the enemies pursuing him, which could grant her a chance to turn the tide around to attempt on helping Narx after all with the others. From how things had been looking once her attention was shifted to their direction, everything was looking to be alright as well for them. They managed to free the goat faunus, which brought forth their victory in turn. What a complete relief!! "Th-thank goodness... I am glad ev-everyone is safe and sound! I have some first aid items if anyone needs anything d-dealt with." Hearing Narx across the way thanking everyone, when he directed the thanks to her she fidgeted nervously, unused to positive thanks. "I-I didn't do much, and am just r-relieved you and Danae are alright." Rightfully so. Quick and spritely he was, and was continuing on looking like he was alright despite what happened. Nothing to worry much on surely. Everything... Looked alright and safe.
With a small sigh of relief to that, Sasselia had went to fetch her axe she had thrown from her throwing spot, before she disabled and deactivated all her glyphs. "Best to do now before anyone may potentially fall from the snow's unpredictable grounds." Seeing Rin nearby, she was about to move towards him, prepared to see if he was alright or not. That was until she had taken note of a shriek, seeing the Ravager closing in on Xanthe from above. "A-above you!" Preparing to take a wild shot with her axe, she had been prepared to throw. Luck went out into the ever snowy weather upon trying, just as her drawback had kicked in. "Oh!" Surprised by herself dropping into the snow face first, she had to shift herself off her stomach, gritting her teeth as the nerve paralysis she suffered after the use of her glyphs had began on effecting her ability to walk. Not one, but both legs!? Not again.... Only plus side was that this sort of issue hadn't occurred during the fight. Sass could still move a little, but not without the effects sending a shaking pain from the movement, giving off the sign of the paralysis itself. "W-well... One bit at a time.." Whispering softly to herself her cursed luck, the woman had chosen on bringing her weapon back to it's original form. "Welp, time to see just how soft a l-landing snow can be." Twas about to be a long night... Much longer than it was already.
[TiMe SkIp]
When morning had brought itself forward, Sasselia had woken up to her legs being mobile once more, a tired groan rising from her as she had prepared herself for the morning. However she managed to return to camp, whether by crawling, assistance, or finding a way to be creative on her person for it, the notion of it all was tiresome as it was. Optimism shown through that she had at least managed it back for he most part. Had anyone helped her out, she had thanked them upon the arrival back in. Now that it was a new day, and she was able to be starting refreshed and properly mobile once more, focusing on what was to come was the next goal in store. "Good morning.." her voice would pick up, speaking to anyone else awake nearby. Looking to Ylva, who was asking if anyone was in need of help or not, she politely shook her head. "I am quite alright this morning, but thank you~." Yawning softly then, she had proceeded to preparing herself for the day to come, getting everything she needed situated, and after some rations she had in her backpack, she had done what she could to assist in any way through the morning, being prepared already to go when it was time.

Xanthe Shaw
Xanthe had been planning to rush in with Sass and clear the dogs at Rin's feet but no sooner had she started forming the words had the sabyrs retreated. And instead opted for "Yeah! Run!" instead as that felt more appropriate for the situation at hand. A shrieking ball of darkness fell towards her, it looked as she swatted it with the side of her spear as if it had been trying to regain some control over it's flight path, not that it mattered that much as it was slammed into the ground. Xanthe stuck her spear into it to stop the noise and looked over just in time to see Sass fall over. She rushed to her team mates side. "You okay?" Which seemed on reflection like an obvious 'no' and so she followed it up with "You can't sleep there. Up you get." She reached down and helped Sass up, then back towards their tent. She looked around at the site, even in the dim light it was easy to tell the fighting had stopped and her and Sass could retreat without being a burden. Once inside, Xanthe took the opportunity to get a little more rest, but not before making sure Sass was properly wrapped up.
~~Time Skip ~~
Xanthe emerged from the tent without the cheery optimism that Sass had somehow acquired during the night. She was rapidly growing to despise the snow and longed for a good downpour that would signal that spring was here. That's what Atlas needed as clearly the sun wasn't cutting it. She set to work putting the tent away and collecting her gear, when that was done and she had secured their stuff on the snow mobiles, she strode over to the dark haired lad for late introductions. "Morning, bit of a wild night, eh? I'm Xanthe. It might have helped last night but you are...?" She didn't mean to sound brash, it had sounded better in her head but then had come out of her mouth after passing through the morning grump field and had sounded much worth than intended. In one sense she knew his name, but it was different hearing it in passing and being told it by the person themselves. She turned to her friend who was offering help. "I'm good Ylva, unless your putting a coffee on? In which case, I'm game." That sounded more up beat, or at least, less like she wanted to punch someone.
It seemed the group had managed to deal with all their individual threats and converge to assist Narx with his own. Through a combination of martial prowess from the girls of the group, Rin's semblance and to a lesser extent his arrows, along with Narx managing to be able to fight back they would dispatch the remaining Grimm in short order. It was a bit inspiring to see, from the back, as they felled them; if a bit discouraging in that he could not deal with them as well as everyone else. The particular Grimm he had been going after was peppered with arrows but remained alive; the final Grimm to be dealt with. It saw its fellows perish and was fleeing now that the odds were not in its favor. While no one else was seemingly worried about it, Rin did recall that Grimm who ran and survived encounters often returned smarter and deadlier. That, mixed in with slightly hurt pride he was failing at killing any Grimm, led him to focus and take aim at the final one as it fled. Following the Grimm with bow and eyes, he did his best to mentally calculate what trajectory and how far ahead of it he would need to shoot to hit it. If it decided to move out of a relatively straight line, his shot would be doomed but he had to try nonetheless. Letting go a final arrow, Rin would watch it arc to the target; and cheered slightly as it hit the Sabyr to bring it down. Feeling the gravity well he was in slowly deactivate, he prepared for a brief landing into the snow. As he did so, he heard a brief commotion to see a small Grimm be killed as well. Almost everyone would congratulate one another/the group at this stage, a call for the next watch was made and taken, general checking if anyone was hurt, and everyone headed to bed. The only noteworthy exception outside of that was Sasselia needing assistance with moving now, which concerned Rin a bit, but he let it be for the time being. It seemed, by reaction, to not be a major deal; perhaps a side effect of her semblance or a condition she had. Not desiring to pry, and suppressing a yawn as the rush of everything was dying down, Rin would sleepily and silently return to his own sleeping quarters for the rest of the time they had. 'Hopefully we have no further interruptions,' he silently hoped as he slumbered. Rin would be the last to awake, or so he felt, as he heard the hustle and bustle of those around him. Swearing five more minutes as he in vain tried to sleep longer but his body would not oblige him. Eventually, he would sigh in defeat and get up from his simple shelter. Given he had not too much in the way of strenuous activity from the day prior, he elected to wear the same outfit for now; that along with the fact he was unsure when next they would have time to clean their clothes so he needed to make each last. Once that was done, he would take out some rations and water to consume before he would go about packing his gear and taking down his tent. Working mostly in silence this morning, thinking more and more about the journey and mission itself, he would decline any aid offered and only give a friendly smile to any who greeted him. Re-attaching the tent and heavier gear to his snow mobile, he would get it ready to depart with little effort. Looking to the others. he would wait to see when everyone was ready before following whoever was in the lead with his own vehicle. 'Day one of this venture...How many more until we reach our destination, and how many surprises as well between then,' he would wonder silently.

╔═════════════════════════════════════════════════▨✥▨═════════════════════════════════════════════════╗ The relentless cold of Atlas didn't let up as the group set out once more. The sun was shining bright on another cloudless day, but the sun seemed distant and none of its warmth reached them. Compasses and maps pointed them towards bearly visible mountains in the morning sun. More Grimm could be seen off in the distance. Did Vale have this many Grimm, hidden in the forests, or was it because Atlas had been abandoned for so long, the Grimm had been allowed to spawn freely with no one to cull their numbers? They came across footprints in the snow, that looked similar to those made by a Goliath only these were much larger.
Soon they were surrounded by mountains, and they came across another strange sight. Large holes in the ground. Tunnels large enough for them to crawl through if they wanted, disappearing into the blackness. Some kind of Grimm native to Atlas, or survivors with some sort of tunnelling machine? It was nearing noon when they rounded a bend and saw smoke billowing in the sky. Those native to Atlas would recognize it as not smoke from a fire, but the pale grey of steam. A hot spot in the mountainside causing air to rise, but the frigid temperatures of Atlas freezing the water droplets just the same. According to their maps, this was where they were headed. At least they got some clarity on why the military sent them. The large amounts of steam would make seeing what was happening on the ground impossible from an airship.
As they got closer a large dull grey wall would come into view, very similar to the one around Vale. Danea, with her superior eyesight, would see them first. Bits of colour in the snow here and there. Perfectly preserved bodies wrapped in clothing, half or mostly buried in the snow. Then a most unusual sight. A lone man in an Atlas military uniform sitting in a guard box. It was an arch protruding from the wall. The top and bottoms were thick steel, with a glass strip in the middle where they could clearly see him, and him they. It must be warm in there as he wasn't wearing a coat. A vault-like door next to it, presumably the way to access what was behind the walls. There was a large shadow of a building just visible in the rising steam towering over the wall. "Morose Medical Research Facility" Danea would be able to read on its side.
The guard smiled widely as they approached. "Hello there!" He greeted enthusiastically. "It's been a long time since I've seen anyone new! Come in out of the cold!" He waved his hand towards the vault door while pushing a large green button. With a 'Ka-Thunk' of gears not used often, the vault door gave a jolt before rolling sideways into the wall.

Xanthe Shaw
Xanthe wandered away from the one sided introduction as soon as it was time to leave, she had tried. Perhaps not enough, or maybe it was too much. She decided that she'd ambush the other two at a later date when they had more time in the hopes that she could extract an introduction out of them. Before she knew it they were on their way, she had managed to acquire a thermostat of coffee which was now nestled beneath her coat, while it was advisable to pour yourself a cup while travelling at speed, it was better than the alternative which was to shout at everyone in the group until they buried her in the snow and left her. After a short time riding in formation she decided to partake in some caffeine goodness and set about easing the flask out of it's nest. She had improvised a method of steering with her knees while fumbling with the liquid and to her own astonishment she even managed to drink some. Sure a lot went down her coat and most of what she did pour out blew out of the cup itself, but a tiny bit she managed to manoeuvre into her mouth. She did have to speed up to catch the group after the endeavour, but her mood was vastly improved, and in the end, isn't that what really mattered.
As they bore down on their destination Xanthe noted the holes and shouted to nobody in particular. "Tiny caves! Mole holes? Worms?" While she didn't know what had caused them she hoped it was giant tameable worms. Or perhaps some sort of rideable drill. Anything to get out of the snow. While the weird holes had been a topic of jokes the field of bodies that came after it was not and her expression changed to disgust as they rode through. Souring her mood almost completely. She parked up with everyone else and retrieved her stuff from the back of her vehicle. "Everyone good?" She enquired with her team, she wasn't so great now but someone would answer about the bodies and then, depending on their answer, would burn. She trudged through the snow towards the gate along with the rest of the group. The guard seemed strangely enthusiastic, considering he was overlooking a mass grave. "Anyone know what this place is?" As they had just come straight from Kingslock she hadn't managed to read the brief in full. Though nothing about the entrance screamed 'good times inside'.
