Living For a Good Time

Tyyn could feel the air blow by her legs as she kicked them sitting way up in the tree by her childhood home. Her parents had moved back to Zena, taking Liio and Elna with them. It was sad for her, but also a relief really. She had much more freedom now. She lived with her grandparents at the moment but even that was only temporary. Not that she didn’t love her family or want to leave them behind, but she had plans. She had plans to go out and see the world, and very soon. She was going to be packing her bags (or whatever she could fit in her little backpack) and go off to see whatever it was she could see. Maybe she would go and explore Belrea, or maybe she would see what Yael was like. She had heard it was almost spooky over there with the swampy pools of water and the angry fierce elaria women running around. Or heck, maybe she would go off and travel to the new place she had heard about, Kahikina. The people there weren’t anything like the earthlings that was for sure. She had even heard something about them breathing water. What in the great ghost’s name is all that about, right?
But what she did know was that she would be having fun. And what better way for Tyyn to have fun than to train with her bare fists and get into fights. Bar brawls sounded like the best of times for her, and she was ready to see if she could be one of the best fighters in Tendaji. She felt like she could take anyone on, and to her that was fact. She could feel the energy pump through her body just thinking about it. The feel of throwing a punch - she punched the air just for her own satisfaction - or landing a kick on another person. It was thrilling. She lived for the rush, and counted down the days until she could find someone willing to spar with her.
She hopped up from her limb of the tree and started to climb her way down, shimmying and hugging the sturdy trunk. She had recently met up with a strange hybrid girl, Ondine, who had shown her a good time drinking and brawling. Maybe she would see what she was up to and if she was also wanting to go out in the world and pick some fights. It was worth a shot, and the two of them had seemed like they had clicked pretty decently. She would almost call her a friend after all of that.
But before she could go she needed equipment. She would have to get some kind of glove or wrap or something to protect her hands, maybe some sturdier clothes, or maybe not that. She did have a thing for a breeze and the sun on her skin… so maybe she would skip that part. But she wasn’t just all crazy “let’s go out and leave things to the fates”, she would need supplies too. Jauhar wasn’t too far away, but to go off on an adventure longer than that took planning. She would need provisions, food, something to sleep in, because she doubted she would always be able to make it to an inn… and she almost never had any cash on her. That was probably something she would have to fix, too. Maybe she could travel picking up odds and ends jobs. She shrugged her shoulders at the thought. Whatever, she would work all of that out later.
So first things first. Gauntlets.
