Now that Tyyn was on her own, she was making her way through Jauhar. Very lazily making her way through Jauhar. She stretched up her arms, releasing an over exaggerated yawn, and slumped back down. Where was the adventure, man?

After leaving her parents house, she had gone out to Jauhar in search of Ondine, but she had yet to find her again. So for now she was doing her thing, wandering the towns and asking around for anyone who might have a clue where that hybrid girl had gone to.

She poked her head into the middle of a conversation between two shifter women. "Yeah, hey, anyone know where to find a shifter hybrid girl around here?" She asked with exasperation in her voice.

"A shifter hybrid? Only one I've seen is down by the old forge."

"What about that one we saw this morning? By the fruit seller?"

"She's asking about a hybrid girl, you dolt. That was a man."

"Ah, that's right."

Said shifter hybrid was currently assisting her grandmother with a particularly rough sales transaction. It wasn't as if she normally helped out with the forge so her customer service voice wasn't nearly as chipper as it should be nor was her patience up to snuff. The man was trying to downplay her Aunt's work by telling her grandmother there were chips in the sword, it's blade wasn't sharp enough, blah blah blah. It was beyond obvious to Adenah that he simply didn't want to pay full price for the amount of work that had been put into it. Cheap tourists.

"If I wanted to pay for a hack job I wouldn't have come all the way out here!" The irate iceling pounded his fists on the counter. The noise echoed all the way outside since most of the doors and windows were open for ventilation.

"And who asked you to come anyway?" Adenah quipped. She cocked her hip to the side and clucked her tongue. "Just because this isn't Zena doesn't mean we're a bargain shop. If you want a cheap sword maybe you should go outside and pick up a stick."

Tyyn had received several lackluster responses from those around her before she heard a commotion coming from inside of a shop. The woman she was talking to currently pointed toward the open window and sighed out, "You know, now that you mention it, there is a shifter hybrid girl in there." Tyyn was hopeful, how many shifter hybrid girls with dark skin could there be, right? "Hey thanks." She called out while she was already heading inside.

But it definitely without a doubt was not Ondine. "Oh..." She trailed off, looking very outwardly disappointed. The girl was dark skinned, but was not Ondine. She had to admit though, she caught the tail end of her conversation with whoever-that-was, and she was impressed. She had a smirk on her face as she watched the rest of it unfold.

The Zenan turned a flushed shade of indigo before turning his back with a flurry of curses. If he'd been about to stomp out he stopped upon seeing the newest 'customer', and instead pointed back at Adenah. "Don't even THINK about buying anything from them! You'd be better off spending your coin on....on dried mammu droppings!"

Adenah just leaned over the counter, head propped up by her hands and grinned. "Oh, is that what they makes swords out of in Zena?"

He sputtered. "HOW DARE YOU! YOU...YOU...HEATHEN." With one final, exasperated guffaw the iceling let himself out. Even once out of the building she could still hear him complaining until his voice was nothing but a murmur in the jungle.

Her grandmother, for the most part, looked exasperated. She passed a harsh look at her granddaughter who couldn't help cackling over the childish display. "Honestly...." She sighed and turned her attention to the newest 'customer'. "I'm sorry you had to see any of that, dear. Is there something we can do for you?"

Adenah straightened up a little, smile still very much prominent on her face as she got a good look at the other young lady. At first she'd just assumed it was another tourist from Tale, but upon closer inspection she knew it was another hybrid. A cute one, too.

The ice man finished his finger pointing and ranting and she was sure he would have slammed the door behind him if he could have, and she found herself chuckling and grinning with the other hybrid girl. That was quality customer service if Tyyn had ever saw it.

"I'm actually looking for someone but I probably should have been more specific than 'shifter hybrid'." She started with a shrug of her shoulders. She approached the counter and rested an elbow against the countertop. "You wouldn't happen to know or be related to another shifter hybrid girl, would you? Spotted, short buzzed down hair, about yay big?" She put her hand out to about her level in gesture.

She quickly looked around the place and took note of all the weapons in the place. So it was definitely a weapon shop, that was good to know. "And I may or may not be in the market for gauntlets." She added, tilting her head to the side.

The older shifter gave a sympathetic smile. "All of my grandchildren are shifter hybrids so it's little wonder that you ended up here."

For a moment Adenah's eyes widened and she pondered an escape route. If she was here looking for a 'shifter hybrid' then maybe word of what she'd done in Oba had reached Jauhar? No one even knows your name in Oba, how are they supposed to track you? You're just being paranoid. Still, she couldn't help feeling relieved when the description was most definitely not of her. Dodged another one.

"Sounds like my younger brother, but he's definitely not a girl and his hair's not buzzed." What were the odds of another shifter and matori hybrid being in their little village? Now Adenah was just curious as to who this girl was and what she was doing here. "Haven't seen her, but I might be persuaded to ask around for the right pri-"

"Gauntlets, you say?" Cutting her granddaughter off, the younger looking visibly put out, she smiled and motioned toward the open shop portion of their smithy. "You're welcome to look over wares if you'd like, or we if it's something more personal you're after we can talk commissions."

So there were more hybrids around these parts than she realized. Whoops. What would be the chances that there would be so many of them around anyways? She was about to open her mouth to argue against paying for information when the older woman jumped in. Well, she could pay money for weapons.

”Yeah sure, I’ll look around I guess.” She side eyed the younger shifter-fire hybrid and looked toward where the older woman was motioning. The girl was damn near stunning if Tyyn did say so herself. ”So… what do you know about gauntlets?” She asked the hybrid girl. ”I could probably use some help.” She had a cheeky grin on her face.
