Life, is like the ocean. It can be rigid, or it can be still...

Two weeks had passed since that eventful day st the arena. The events had brought several new things to light. The fact that by saving two loves, Allister's and Jentel's in turn, she wasn't really quite as useless as she usually felt. It was still hard to wrap her mind around everything. So many people had fallen or been injured on her behalf, trying to protect her. It was rather strange to think that for once she had been the one to protect another person. Even if Allister hadn't truly appreciated the deed. Even if she had only been protecting Jentel from himself, whose emotional distress had been caused by that very dead and the fate that could have befallen her were it not for her semblance. It still meant something, even if it was still very hard to believe. It felt so unreal at times, but the memories burned so vividly in her mind it was impossible to dismiss it as some far away dream. Even less so the events that followed. So many emotions had swarmed her in such a short period of time. Ranging from concern, panic, fear, to relief. Lastly that strange, warm fluttery feeling that had filled her stomach when Jentel had held her hand. The way her heart sometimes raced. A thing she could not quite explain even if she were able to speak of such things outloud. The same way neither if them had addressed the momentary moment of immense embarrassment when he had walked out of the bathroom not realizing she was still. It was something best left to the.provacy of their own minds.

There was one other thing weighing heavily on the girl's mind. Something that she couldn't speak of with anyone. For who would she go to for advice? Surely not the tiny terror that was Feng nor the giant Ulysses who had left Beacon to attend to other matters and certainly not their newest team member who was in most ways just as intimidating as their captain. The only person she would really consider a friend here at Beacon was Jentel and he was the last person she could go to for help, as it was his memories that were causing such a dilemma. The long forgotten memories of his past. Dark and tragic. The faunus was struggling, stuck between two fronts. Could she really show him when she knew what they contained? When she knew that he had once told her he thought it better to forget such awful memories? But it felt wrong to destroy them. It was a part of him and she wouldn't be the one to irradiate. He should be the one to decide. They were his memories after all, but his master had left the decision to her. Dumped them in her lap to reveal them to Jentel when she thought the time was right... but the time wasn't right yet. How could she show him such devastating truths after the break down he had just had. She didn't want to lose him and least of all be the cause of it. Yet, it seemed that could happen in more than one way at the moment. Rather quite literal or in the sense he ended up hating her due to finding out she was hiding such a thing from her. Really, she felt horrid for hiding such a thing from him. It was slowing eating away at her, consuming her with guilt, but it just didn't feel like there was a good solution to the problem. Every answer had a consequence. A terrible one. So for now she was stuck in a sea of angry waves trying to decide which buey would be the best to swim to before she could drown.

However, as per usual with Beacon... there was not much time to think about all of that. The annual autumn ball. It was her first one at Beacon. Really, her first ball ever. Celebrations on the island had been far less grand. Sweet, and wholesome, usually on the beach. According to most logic, Dani should have been excited, but she was far from it. Even if it wasn't for all the other concerns weighing on her mind, this was not the type of even Dani would normally look forward to. She was much to quiet, timid, and nervous. This dance was going to be big, boisterous, and everyone was going to be there. Too many people for the little jellyfish's comfort. She was not good in the social aspect of life. Her anxiety always got the best of her. She stuttered, fumbled, and tripped. The fear of making a fool of herself was a constant one, but now there was the added bonus of doing it on heels and a dress. Dani would have much preferred spending the night quietly to herself, possibly with the company of Jentel or her team, but it was required for all students to show up so thus she had spent the better part of the last couple hours getting ready for such an occasion. Along with the nerves of the occasion in general, came those of how was she supposed to do her hair? Her makeup? What if her dress was all wrong. Her brother had managed to scrounge together some money and seei g as she was lacking in the area of friends, he had taken her to buy it instead. It was pretty and had caught the girl's eyes right away. The way the tulle skirt meshed together in a variety of pastel colors. It was similar to the iridescent shimmer of her own skin, though that was much more subtle. But what if she was wrong? What if it looked bad on her? What if she were overdressed? What if she were underdressed? As always, there were much too many questions tearing at her seams and not enough answers.

Daenerys supposed she could have asked Jentel. Somehow she had the feeling he might know more than her, but in the end her own nerves got the best of her and she couldn't bring herself to do it but somehow the idea of asking Feng or Scylla was even more frightening. So instead she was left to do it herself and just hope for the best. Hope she may, but that didn't stop the plethora of anxious thoughts and questions plowing through her mind like a steam roller. Once again panic struck her at the realization that she had no idea if she were supposed to head to the event by herself or wait for her team. That left the girl a bit frazzled, pacing back and forth in her floor length dressed, heels clicking against the floor in a sound that to Dani was nothing short of menacing as the shoes threatened to be the literal death of her. Finally, with her soft curls of pink hair hanging about her waist, braided half up, she made the decision to start walking down the halls. Maybe they would catch up to her before she got there, and if not, she would just wait for them there. As she approached the doors, she was checked as all weapons were to be left behind. After which she was offered a soft drink. Delicate gloved hands, covered to avoid accidentally stinging anyone, reached for the soda but stopped short with the fear of possibly spilling it on herself. Or worse. Someone else. "N-no thank you." Ducking her head shyly, a soft blush crept up her cheeks as she rushed away. The room was truly exquisite, decorated in orange, red, gold, and all the colors of autumn. Despite its beauty, the little jellyfish really didn't have much of a chance to admire it as amethyst eyes were glued to her feet as she hurried across the room in search for a secluded area to hopefully go unnoticed by strangers.

"WHAT THE HELL?!" Not only could the sheik be heard through the closed bathroom door, but likely throughout the entire campus. The lioness was clearly upset, as to what, well there could have easily been guesses. She hadn't exactly made her distaste for the ball subtle nor had she even tried to ebb her own complaints. She also hadn't made Lafelle's job in designing her a dress an easy one, which was maybe why the woman had sent such a compilation. This is punishment. It has to be. A few moments later the lioness strut back out of the bathroom, makeup and hair done to her dismay, but lacking in the wardrobe area with not but an oversized t-shirt pulled over her form. "You've got to be kidding me." The girl grumbled, collapsing dramatically onto a bed with little care to whether it was actually hers. As long as it wasn't Allister's, she didn't care. There was also very little thought given to the fact that the shirt she had haphazardly thrown on left little to the imagination. There was absolutely no refused to being careful with her thick, white locks that had taken hours to curl. Even with the added curls and braids her mane fell nearly to her butt and god help the person who tried to take shears to it. "There's no f***ing way I'm wearing that thing! Who does she think she is?" The faunus was not just angry, but furious. Fuming to the point smoke could nearly be seen billowing from her ears. Cheeks were hot and flushed with her anger, brows furrowed together as she crossed her arms angrily over her chest. "Nope. I'm not going. I don't care if they kick me out." That wasn't entirely true, but she would not admit to that in her frustration. What twisted kind of person holds a mandatory ball at a combat school. Idiots. The though was both bitter and vengeful.

Needless to say, getting Kenna ready for the ball was not an easy feat. It took an entire robot and then some to get her into her dress. If it wasn't for her aunts "special" skills, the delicate looking dress would have been torn to shreds. It would be a lie to say that hadn't been her intentions, but to her dismay, the dress had survived. If the girl hadn't already given up on modesty, any prospect of it would have been torn to shreds in the struggle. Legs flailing, arms flying, claws looking to hook into anything they could possibly latch onto. If not for the metal robot, it might have been a bloody mess. Surely a health hazard. Her hair was slightly messy now, but she clearly had no intentions of fixing it as she stood rigid, arms crossed stiffly over her chest, cheeks flushed. By the end of the affair, everyone, including Prism was exhausted. Even if in Maria's case it was more if a mental exhaustion than anything else... Then again, the wheelchair-confined girl wasn't exactly looking forward to the dance either. She just put up less of a fight... not that she really had a choice. If she still had the full function of her body, the blue-haired girl might have been just as bug if a handful. "I look like a disco ball threw up on me." The lioness practically growled. Even though she was dressed, she wasn't going to make the job of getting there any easier. Her team might have given up on her were it not for the fact that it had been made clear the teams of students who chose not to attend would be punished. Someone kinder than Kenna might have used that as motivation to cooperate, but she didn't seem to care.

Over the past two weeks, short as the time spans might be, the team wouldn't have been too surprised at that prospect. Kenna was angry and bitter and if she didn't have some sort of sarcastic or insulting comment rolling off her tongue that would true concern. It would be in that situation that someone might think she was pocessed or put under some sort of spell. The only person that she ever showed even even showed the slightest bit if sweetness or vulnerability to was Kenna and even those moments were spare as more often than not they were surrounded by their team. Allister, who more often than not she referred to as drumsticks despite having no actual clue if he played them or not. And Prism, who she was usually wary of but at this point in time absolutely loathed. Kenna was not a very likeable individual and she was not easy to get along with, but the fiasco in the dorm had shown at least one thing. She had been through a lot and her body showed it with the countless scars that marked her body some of which would be new even to Kenna. Not to mention the brand just below her left collar bone that would surely arise questions from Maria if she happened to glance it. Anger and concern would be sure to follow, which is why Kenna had chosen not to show her yet. After the reaction she had seen after telling her about the death of her parents, she figure it would be too much all at once.

As they approached the doors to the ball, or at least Maria and Kenna, both being forced forward by the giant robot behind them, Kendall was clearly disgruntled. The lioness had lost track of the other two members of their team and hadn't the slightest clue as to whether they chose to follow or not. If they had, they might get a chuckle out of the ridiculous scenario, or they might be wondering what sort of a mess they'd gotten themselves into. Walking through the doors they were searched for weapons. The lioness grumbled and glared the whole time, quite literally growling when any of them came too close. She was offered a soda to which she swatted out of the staff member's hand, splattering everyone and everything in the near facility with the sticky substance. "Oops." She muttered before strutting away without the slightest bit remorse or even the thought of apologizing. She was grumpy and the night had only just begun, which was a bad sign for her mood was likely to only continue decreasing. She was stubborn enough to not let herself enjoy it even if she did happen to find something that suited her. Seeming unimpressed by the magificent fall decor that surrounded them, she came to a halt in the center of the room, knuckles white where the peeled out from her crossed arms. "This is ridiculous." She stated, letting out an exasperated sigh. My feet hurt already. She didn't like shoes in the first place, heels made it all the worse.

                                                              ⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯

A couple weeks had passed since the fiasco in the dorm room and since Charlotte and Kuina had been working on their friendship. It seemed to be going over well and after their mission the entire team seemed closer than ever. Zylah was still struggling herself, caught between the warning emotions that had conquered her on the battlefield. She had never really gotten the chance to explain why she had cried, though she was almost certain Aaron had noticed. Luina and Charlotte on the other hand both passed out. She didn't mind the lack of questions though, it just meant less explaining on her behalf and honestly... she wasn't sure what she would even sat. That she had spent her entire life being used and tossed away that having two people risk their own lives to save hers on the same day had been too much for her heart to handle. She was touched, filled with a warm feeling straight to her core. One that was foreign and unfamiliar and she was truly unsure of how to respond to it. Along with the warmth came the icy grasp of guilt. It was also a feeling she was unfamiliar with. It had been foreign to her until she had been assigned to this team. She felt at home with them. Despite all efforts, she cared for them and they cared for her. It was different than anything she'd ever experienced before. Every other relationship she'd had, that with her parents, the boy in the faunus group, the tribe... they were all different types of relationships but they all had one thing in common. They'd all been either one sided or had ended in betrayal. No one had ever cared for and protected her the way these people did and that meant something. For the first time in her life she felt truly happy, or at least... she thought this was what happiness felt like. With it the falsity, without the facade, without the pretending.

However, feeling happy made her feel guilty. Guilty for secretly deceiving the only people that had ever truly taken her in. The guilt was sickening and it had been slowly eating away at her insides, weighing on her mind. She found herself thinking about it a lot more often than she ever had before. It would be noticed in the odd bits of silence from Zylah as she was lost to her own thoughts. Those lapses were growing more and more frequent and surely they were bound to be noticed, at some point or another. If they hadn't been already. The guilt had been so much that a part of her had even started debating leaving the tribe entirely... but could she really? She was at war in herself and their were times the battle could be seen in her eyes. Or the way at she stared at her phone, ignoring messages she should have responded to weeks ago. Zylah was so used to being care-free it was both strange and difficult to deal with all these newfound stressors. Not all she was remarkably good at brushing everything aside. It was more difficult with this. However, she was detirmined to push past it, if only for tonight. After all, it was the night of the ball and she had been looking forward to it for quite some time now. She'd even found a date. Something Zylah had never had before, not that she would admit that to any of them. When Aaron had asked, she had responded in a playful and mischievous way that was so akin to the tiny huntress, but she was much more naive to the romance side of things than she ever met on.

Aaron and Luina has met up with her and Charlotte in town the day they had gone dress shopping and they had finished picking out their outfits together. Zylah, however had chosen to keep her dress a secret, making all of them turn around and close their eyes when she tried it on and bought it. She had tried on a few others just for the fun of it, and as promised, purchased Charlotte's for her. Luckily their other two teammates had arrived after the whole fiasco with her eye or the little bit of information she had revealed about her past. Honestly, Zylah wasn't completely sure if Luina or Aaron had got on to the fact that she was blind in her left eye yet. If they hadn't, they were likely wondering how that beowolf had completely blindsided her during their mission, resulting in the multiple puncture wounds and the crushing if the bones in her left leg. It wasn't a pretty break which was why she had ended up in a cast, which to her dismay was still adorning her leg to this day. She hated it, for a fair few reasons. The first being that it made her much mire clumsy than she usually was. There were just too many new and unusual things going in with her, it was hard to keep up.

The girls had spent the day getting ready together, which brought her to the second reason she hated the cast so much. It clashed with everything. Including her attire for the ball. Luckily her dress covered most of it, as the slit came up the opposite side, but she knew it was there which was enough to irritate her. She would have much preferred to be in heels. How was she supposed to dance in this clunkly thing? It completely through off her balance. Still, as annoying as it was, she wasn't going to let it ruin her night. So once the giggle fest was done with and they were all ready, they headed down to the ball as a team. Zylah had linked her arm through Aaron's, much like she had the very first day she'd met him. Upon entering the room, nearly all of the negativity she had been feeling before was washed away. It was truly beautiful. The room was a kaleidoscope of orange, yellow, and red, glimmering with hints of gold. It was just like something out of a story book. A very familiar look of child-like wonder crossed over her features, cerulean eyes wide as she took it all in. "Wow..." She murmured softly, releasing Aaron from her grip to slowly spin around and absorb it all. It was better even than she could have hoped.

Her attention was drawn back to the group when she heard Lu's scroll go off. Zylah's gaze shot back to their blue-haired captain, a playful smirk tugging on her lips. "I bet I can guess who that is." She teased before humming an all too familiar tune. It was something she had done before, a song about trees and kissing, but she had yet to learn all the words so she simply hummed it instead, knowing that would surely do the trick. At Luina's question Zylah smirk only grew, a mischievous gleam in her ocean eyes. "You could always let us meet your boyfriend... unless you're embarrassed by us." She teased further, giving the girl a playful little eyebrow wriggle. It seemed she was already acting more like her normal self. After all, she had promised Aaron that she probably wouldn't behave, but she would make sure it was fun. Mischievous as she was, there surely wouldn't be a dull moment. If there was, she would be ashamed of herself.

Just as they had planned, their spying mission had been a complete success. They had followed they teammates for the entirety of their date without ever getting caught. They day had been full of laughter and a few little competitions held amongst themselves. Some if which Ridley had won and others Adma had won. Currently they were at a draw, which meant no more odd hair colors for the time being. They had called it off just before Cecil and Azura had finished their date. After all, they wanted to make sure they beat the pair back to the dorm, just to avoid the suspicion. Their own day had ended with a shared high-five and another round of laughter before they both collapsed into their own beds with minutes to spare. Ridley had even pulled out a book to study and work on the homework that was due the following money that she had procrastinated, as usual. Over all, the day had been a good one. Certainly one to add to the pile of pleasant pile of memories. It helped relief some of the stress Beacon had put them under so far, but nothing to clarify the odd little sensation in her stomach she often got around Adam. She still wasn't sure out to explain it, or if Adam felt the same thing. All she really knew was she liked spending time with Adam. She liked laughing with him. That was all that really mattered for now.

Two weeks had come and went and now it was time for the annual autumn ball. Ridley wasn't really one for dances or dresses. She remembered once as a child taking every dress in her closet and throwing them out in the mud. Her parents had been furious. Her uncle had chuckled with her and greeted her with a high-five. There was something a bit different this time though... somehow she found herself almost looking forward to it and the only reason she could come up with was that she was going with Adam. With that thought came the memories of Cecil's blunt comment and the flustered blushing that followed, only deepened when Adam actually did ask her to the dance moments later. Thinking about it even now caused her cheeks to grow a bit warm, but hopefully not enough that anyone would notice. So, ignoring the strange bit of excitement bubbling in her stomach, she had called her uncle and asked for a bit of money before asking Azura if she would help her go look for one. The following Saturday the two girls had gone to town to go dress shopping together and since Azura had been so helpful in helping her find the perfect one, Ridley promised to do her hair and makeup for her again. Granted, she probably would have done it anyway.

Azura was at least a bit less frazzled when they were getting ready this time, but maybe that was was do to the fact that she had Cecil had broken the ice, or maybe it was only because they had more time to prepare. Laughing softly at her own internal pun, she had just finished the final touches with Azura's makeup. The girl looked truly exquisite. "There, you're perfect. Tell Cecil he's not allowed to smear that lipstick until the end of the night. I worked hard on that." With a smirk and a playful wink, Ridley let out another soft laugh before giving the girl a quick hug. "We'll catch up with you later." She wasn't sure if Azura planned to meet with Cecil at the ball or beforehand, but she knew Adam had already made his way down and she found herself strangely excited to meet up with him. Once again, the though brought a slight heat to her cheeks. Shaking her head lightly and working to compose herself, she headed out the door and down the halls, heels clicking softly against the ground. She also wasn't one for heels, not usually, but these helped with what Adam would call her vertical challenge.

Upon entering the room, she was met with a soda and an outstanding collection of fall decor. The lights, the leaves, the colors, they all played together in the perfect medley. It was truly exquisite, the exact picture of fall. She hadn't quite realized just how well the gold shimmer of her dress would fit in until this moment. It suited bothe the raven haired beauty as well as the glorious setting around her. It didn't take her long to spot Adam sitting at one of the tables, and as she noted his presence a playful smirk tugged at her lips, a mischievous gleam in her golden orbs. Tucking herself behind one of the many autumn themed decorations, she made her way around the room, sticking close to the wall and being sure to remain out if Adam's sight. Quieting her steps as much as she could, she approached him from behind, poking him square between the shoulder blades. "You're looking rather dapper." She commented with a playful wink, and truly he was. His outfit was classy and suited him well, the splash of read in his thigh a perfect contrast to the rest of his outfit. Not to mention it also went well with the fall time theme.

The night of fun before the ball was definitely meeting Cecil's expectations, if not more. They ate their sushi, talked about their semblance, went off to the arcade and played a few games, some that Azura definitely dominated in, mostly Dance Dance Revolution. Before the night ended however, Cecil did use his semblance a bit in an unorthodox way as a show of happiness. He gifted Azura a small set of spheres made from his permafrost of ice. It was a useless trick to him, but they were on par in quality with jewels and could be used for earrings. They departed and had agreed to reconvene at the ball.

The day passed and Cecil left to get himself dressed and ready, by the time the ball had come, he was without his weapon but he was at the entrance, awaiting Azura in a tuxedo, dark blue dress shoes, and his scarf. His hair was surprisingly combed back to keep a decent look. The scarf this time was a set of black and white stripes that covered his mouth to keep his excitement hidden. He awaited with baited anticipation for the arrival of Azura that he seemed to have been the 3rd of their team to arrive.

The event at the gym had certainly been quite the interesting day for Maru and company. Although his team captain's younger sibling was in good health, she was still traumatized at the loss of a team mate. In hindsight, perhaps he should have left after introductions but it would have been even more awkward and possibly rude to just leave in the middle of an important event such as that. At the very least, it gave Maru something to do and he got to meet a few new friendly faces for it. Narc and Danae would see him in a hopefully positive light and not think he was the token "weak link" in the chain that was Asger's team. The farewells were brief and such, wishing every one well and offering to help them in any times of need should it befall upon any one of them. That night, he stayed awake an hour longer than usual, just wondering about Danae's health and if Asger thought any less of him for making his sister cry. It didn't take a genius to see that he cared deeply for his sister. A slip of his tongue could ruin his chances of getting on the boy's good side. He worried more and more before then slowly drifting off asleep, letting the darkness claim him.

On the day of the ball, Maru had gotten everything ready. Thankfully he had packed some outfits for an occasion such as a ball or annual dance. Otherwise it would be embarrassing to show up to town one day, asking for a dress for free or some amount of labor. This was his chance to be noticed by Asger, and he would have to choose his plan carefully. Would the leader like something flamboyant and princess-like, or was he more lowkey and something plain? His hands rooted through his closet in hopes one would show up before a dark colored dress graced itself upon his eyes. This one would do. It might be a bit clashing with the theme of the ball, but it was simple. He showered and then began dressing himself. The panties, small padding for his bra, the dress, a choker, and some some make up. Everything was applied with precision and skill. Maybe he treated it just as seriously as his weapon making, at least that was what his family had claimed. Maru would have stepped out before noticing his hair and frowning. It was much too plain, in need of some style. The boy grabbed a brush and then began to slowly comb it all the way down his back. Some bending and looking later, he had managed to braid it into a much cuter style. His reflection in the mirror was met with a wink, striking a few poses before then setting foot for the ball. Just in the nick of time as well. He had overshot his preparations by a few minutes but soon enough he was down the hall.

The clicking of heels entered the hall as the dolled up Maru took his entrance. It was still early and thankfully not everyone looked to be here just yet. Silently worrying about about his team would think of his attire, he made his way over to the refreshment table and took a soda of his own. A gloved hand picked up a drink as Maru took a gentle sip and searched around for his team. The search last for a few seconds before catching wind of Asger and his wings, folded up and looking less than thrilled with the ball. He didn't blame him, Maru would have done the same thing if he were in his captain's position. A faint blush formed on his cheeks while Maru watched the red haired faunus drifted off into the night. He closed his eyes for only a moment before taking a deep breath and exhaling. "Zis eez nothing major, Maru. Just go to him, say 'allo, and wish him well. Don't say zomething stupid." A moment later of waiting, Maru moved after Asger. His lavender heels clacked on the floor as they followed their prey. More and more steps came known to Asger before they stopped near his table. If the boy were to look up, he would see Maru looking at him with a soda glass in hand, wearing a beautiful dark colored dress and accessories. He smiled with pink cheeks and curtseyed to the captain.

"Good evening, Asger." He tucked the back of his dress and sat down with the redhead. "How eez Danae doing? Has she improved since I came? Does she need anything?"

Amélie Lacroix -

She wasn’t thrilled to be doing this and it visibly be showed. She’d rather be up in her little snipers nest then down on the dance floor. But Aurtriox insisted she be there, though she did show up early to stash her weapon in a nest with optimal view. She even hid a flask for when the inevitable headache comes. Granted Amélie wasn’t much older than most of the kids attending, she was twenty-one and grew up fast. Moving to her designated area she gazed among the current students. "How many heartaches and breaks will we see tonight." Sighing as she brought the small flask out and drank a small amount. Tucking it away so no one could spot it. "First drink out of many."

The past two weeks have definitely been an interesting one. After the mission, Aaron had taken his time to recover along with his team. While Charlotte and Lunia seemed to becoming good friends, Aaron had been hanging out with Zylah a lot. It was actually tons of fun to spend time with her, even while they were both recovering. Sure she was a weird one, but over time he happened to enjoy it. Surely enough he even got the courage to even ask her to the ball himself. It made him happier then a pot of popping popcorn. Maybe that wasn't the best metaphor to use, but that was what he was going for at this point. Still it meant he had something to look forward too. Hell even his parents were excited when he mentioned the news. In fact they were ecstatic, especially his mother for some reason. She couldn't and wouldn't stop asking about when she was expecting a grand child. Honestly he was embarrassed as hell to be thinking or even asked about that. Clearly he wasn't old enough and if his mother wanted one he could of asked Adrian for lords sake.

Though Aaron didn't exactly want to wear the suit that his family offered him. Not that it wasn't bad....okay it was pretty bad in all honesty. He wanted something newer and something that would look rather appealing. So when the girls on his team decided to go dress shopping, he decided to tag along. Of course he didn't want to see exactly what Zylah was planning on wearing, but he didn't want to her to see what he was going for either. Instead he got the services of Lunia to help him in the matter. While he could of picked out something for himself, he would of rather had some sort of help. Perhaps he wanted the night to go well. A girl's view on how a guy dressed himself hopefully would help in achieving that. The outfit he managed to get was rather a perfect fit for the guy. It was a fine suit for...maybe not for the cost but he was willing to go for it.

Upon arriving Aaron was filled with a bunch of excitement. When he first arrived he really couldn't help but stare a bit at all of his team. Currently he was arriving with some of the best looking girls in all of Beacon. Of course he was certain that he could feel the jealous eyes of some other males or even the random female students. This was a matter of opinion, though it was his own. Still his eyes couldn't help but be drawn to Zylah. Maybe because this night was supposed to be a date between them, but he certainly did enjoy the black dress she wore. It was very unique and fit her, perhaps a bit too well. Still she looked so good to him, ravishing even. He couldn't take his eyes completely off her if he wanted too.

When Lunia spoke up about everyone looked, he would show off a gleeful smile. "You should speak for yourself Lunia. Who ever you're supposed to meet with it going to really appreciate your look." He complimented his captain almost immediately. It still was a mystery who she was going with, but apparently they were close enough for a date. He started to wonder who exactly it could be....Though no one came to mind. It would definitely be something to find out in time. He jumped a bit as Zylah linked her arm with his. For some reason he stiffened up straight not expecting it. While this wasn't the first time this had happened, something was different. Looking over to the spruced up Zylah, he could tell that a blush was on his face. There was something else that made him rather nervous. Yet the stillness blew off quickly and he smiled happily at her.

Going in with his team he looked up at everything the ball had set up. Clearly it was set up for a formal dance. It was all orange and it felt like the aspect of fall in a sense. Visually it was pleasing, someone should of been proud at what they set up. Aaron seemed to be filled up with a bit of energy as the setting and the music drummed through his ear. Somehow his body would sway to the beat a bit as the excitement of tonight built up even more. When Zylah mentioned the comment about embarrassing Lunia with in front of her date, he chuckled. "Well that can be arranged. Though I think we need to focus on getting Charlotte a date for tonight." He leaned in towards the blue haired girl cuffing a hand over her ear. "I think she definitely deserves it...or at least a dance of some kind." He whispered to her. Pulling back quickly he let the music start to hit him again. "I SAY WE HIT THE FLOOR!" He shouted striking a goofy sailor's pose and pointed to the dance floor.

Auburn felt...horribly out of place. There was no other polite way to put it. She was not social in the slightest and, had little to no social skills. The large throng of gathered people reminded her of the group cells she'd been tossed into for entertainment. Just more finely dressed. Still, it was expected of them to attend and she had. Her tail flicked about anxiously as she somehow maintained her composure in three inch heels with little practice. For perhaps the first time in her life, she felt somewhat conscious of the scarring on her back, but, the Huntswoman who'd helped her had made sure to get a jacket along with the dress. It had no real function of course, but, it did cover the portion of her back the dress left exposed.

Regardless though, she would not show her anxiety. She'd learned showing emotions was dangerous. True, she saw no real danger to this specific scenario, but, she was a firm believer in 'better safe than sorry'. Entering the room, she towered over almost everyone at six and a half feet. From many of the girls milling about, she had a feeling her dress would be one of the more mature ones. She quickly spotted Asger and...Maru was in a Dress...of course he was. She had concerns about the boy. He wasn't a bad person, but, she was reasonably certain he had some confusion over his own gender. Though, she wasn't entirely sure how one could be confused on the point.
It was pretty straightforward. Still, she figured something or someone familiar would help her ease up. She wasn't going to show it, but, she suspected her teammates realized how uncomfortable she got in large crowds by now.

As much as Komaru's particular attire confused and somewhat discomforted her, she made her way over to both, her tail flicking about frequently in agitation. She lacked the feminine grace, but, she carried herself well and made a b-line for the table the other two were at. She pulled out a chair without a word and sat heavily, tail still flicking about.
"Blasted shoes...how are they so popular? Anyway...apparently, this whole thing is something we have to come to? Any idea of how long we have to stay?"

Richard chose to show up at the ball on his own. He mentioned to Narx that he would do so being that, well...he wasn't exactly sure. Perhaps it was due to recent events, maybe due to not having a date to the ball, maybe it was the suit he was wearing. Not that he didn't mind it exactly, as this was a hand me down from his father. Actually that may have played a factor into it. The fact that yeah, it was from his family, a family that he had lost a long time ago. It might have brought up some rather unlikable feelings. Yet here he was at the ball, not letting those memories keep him completely down. He adorned his black suit and strode into the place with his head held high. Looking upon the ball, it was rather pleasing. The orange, browns, and golds put the image of autumn into his head. Looking around he noticed none of his team was present. This wasn't exactly a bad thing. Richard didn't exactly get much time with the other students at Beacon. Tonight could be a night to branch out. While sociably he wasn't the most adapt he figured that it couldn't hurt to try it. The question was where to start? Straightening up his posture he made his way to the tables with food over them. Upon arriving there was a strange bunny faunus having a seat. He even had a sign out in front that stated, 'Bare hand pet the bunny of 1 lien'. Was this guy trying to make money at the ball? It was a formal event, why even go so far. Richard was questionably eyeing the faunus as he decided to get himself a drink. A couple girls seemed to take up the bunnies offer. Perhaps it wasn't just for the money but maybe attention? He was trying to get this guy's motives. Maybe it was a better idea to simply ask. "So...whats with the whole...um set up here?" His curious question hit the air as he came up behind the faunus. Richard gestured to the sign with a finger from the hand holding his drink. Hopefully it would have been enough to tell what he had mentioned.

Charlotte Aoyama

[ P O S T ]

Charlotte week or two since everything had happened had been… Eventful. Lots of medication. Spinny moments. Heck even this mythical shopping that she had never done. Her acquisitions included a bra, underwear, A red tulip dress styled after punk with a black corset styled top. The back was done up with a piece of lace that she had cheated and used her tail to tighten and not someone else. Even if she had spent most of the day with the others. Her mind was elsewhere. Plotting. Readying. Figuring out counters and movements. She was planning for this competition known as a ball! Her shoes where somewhat high heeled but nothing more than what she was used to and she even carried a little red umbrella that slowly faded to black the closer it got to the center point. If this was her weapon or not… Well it didn't have a hole for the gun so probably not?

Least the red of the dress would hide any blood or leaking wounds and hid her tail effectively. ”You say that about most things.” was charlotte's simple mumble towards lunia about her outfit even if her arms where linked to lunias much like Aaron's to zylahs. She didn't know if she should complement the two girls back. Though she did flicker her eyes over to Aaron's outfit often. Her face was more off worry than anything. ”You look like a waiter” She said honestly. Even if part of her was … Annoyed? No that was the wrong emotion. At the pair. It didn't stop her from at least taking in the sight of the ball. The kaleidoscope of colours and items just confused the fanus.

Least only for a second before she tensed up. She didn't look at any of her team just at the ball. Least she was listening. Something about getting her a date and lunias boyfriend joining the other ‘couple’ and then some whispers or something. This caused charlotte to duck away. Of course inside she had her umbrella down and knew how to stealth into crowds. Heck it was a skill charlotte had not used with the group. Least on purpose. But she just knew she was feeling… Off. A anger that wasn't anger around her own team’s words and actions not matching up. “Hit the floor… Id rather not die.” She mumbled more to herself as she tried to get away using others for cover. More than anyone else.

               Sasselia Argenia
User Image

TEAM: ACER
STUDENT
------------
With a plateful of food and a fruitpunch, it was a bit harder to maneuver towards the tables. Note to self: wear a dress with a shorter skirt length or face the conseauence of future face plants. Topsying and turvyimg Sasselia was unable to help but catch the bottom of her dress with her foot, cursing from time to time almost dropping everything. It was perhaps mundane to complain in her mind about it. As expected of a dance. She of course would not know, as admittingly this would have been her first ball in her entire life. At least the decor made it all easier to remember in the near future. The leaves and foliage handiwork would be impossible to forget. If only her father would have invited her along to the few he had went to back when living in Vaccuo.... Alas the past was the past and it was to late to be cursing or pointing blame now. The temptation to doing so would keep poking but one could withstand being mature enough to endure the misgivings.... Even if one is being completely socially awkward.

When it seemed she had finally crossed the dance floor safe and sound, Sassy ended up choosing an empty table far from the previous one, sitting down with a comfortable sigh. Her eyes had gazed up to her brother from across, this time actually acknowledging him with a quiet, and utterly nervous nod. Good lord did ninety percent of this ball have couples? She should have considered herself lucky the ball was not just for the couples anyway, considering the epic turnout. Damn. If she had known more people then just her brothers she would have been set. Thanks family! Thanks So sooo much for making a total shy case of a daughter! Sooner or later that would have to be arranged quick, especially om the day a team would be put together. Since communication was the utter key she would have to speak Sometime before she would graduate! Speak seak speaaak already!! The adrenilene from excitement did not help this case, and the best way to calm down was by drinking the fruit punch. Aaaaaaah... Delish. Now inhale... Okay....breathe in and hold.... Three... Twooo.... One.... One and a half..... One and three quarters.... And... Exhale. The intake of breath managed to help a little with her nerves, and Sass merely closed her eyes to compose herself better. Now now... Talking to people about even just the weather is not a crime. Merely looking about is a good start. Ooookay.
From what Sasselia could make out, there were many a number of teams streamlined in their own cirlces, busy with conversing. The casual waves of enjoyment hung over their heads like a chandelier of happiness. Most of the few who were actually alone were either those to have had no dates or were waiting for their teams. One in particular looked to be a faunus with a sign... One she could not read from where she was currently sitting. Hmmmmmmm.... Maybe she could go talk with the lovely lioness faunus she had seen earlier? To walk out of there to the garden to hunt one person just to talk with for mainly reasons to compliment.... That would seem both creepy and awkward.... Or perhaps... She was only overthinking this whole thing entirely and should allow herself to shove out of her comfort zone? Well that was easier said then done! Her failed encounters were the iron clad proof of that!! Perhaps walking into a random group and commenting about nothing important??? No way in heck. That would be improper and extremely intrusive. To be intrusive was not the solution to the issue! She was not desperate! Well... Not THAT desperate.
"ugh...... I really am just overthinking this whole thing."

Almost resignated, Sasselia slouched in her chair, completely broody at herself for all these moxed emotions. Her thumbs skimmed the rim of her glass, biting her lip as she wo7u7ndered if she should have brought the Ursa book along! Or the one on herbs!!!! There would be a few conversation topics! "Hey yeah... This book is cool right?? Hard to believe they are an actual grimm! And a bear type at that! Who knew! Almost everyone knew what those kinds of grims were though....
"You see this plant!? It can be used in a soup or for dealing with burns by applying it with saliva!! How interesting is that!?" That sort of scenario ran in her mind to a point she literally hid her face in her hands at her own embarassment. Why oh whyyyyyyyyy......
A second note to self.... Bring a book to events if dateless!! Or better yet... Allow a brother to help set someone up. She knew nobody at all. They could talk under the sun as if it was an actual important talent to possess. Lucky jerks. They could at least help tutor her in socialism perhaps. That would solve everything.... Nah. She was hopeless.

"Eugh" Feng groaned as she made her way into the ballroom. Honestly this was one of the things she didn't miss about her life back home, for all of the rebuilding that her family had to do they seemed to have no trouble rubbing elbows with the higher class. That almost always meant that whatever function her parents or grandparents attended, she was almost always dragged along, usually in something entirely too long and flowing. Silver lining here was easily that Feng was allowed to pick out her own outfit , something more modest and quiet, nothing at all like that bright pink qipao with the overly wide sleeves . Gods that thing was a nightmare to walk around in.
Still, the problem persisted that Feng was entirely too short for functions like this, which led to the inevitable growling and elbowing people in the kidney she was accustomed to. To make things worse, she had to come here alone, not a member of her team in sight, and not even a date. Her cousins would no doubt find that a laugh riot.

Ren was grinning gleefully as his ears flicked around, trying to pick up a sense of a threat before they twitched in the direction of Richard as he approached him from behind. Thankfully he was aware this time and turned to look at Richard, smiling as his ears moved down to the sides of his head as he stuck his tongue out at him. "The set up is to help make people more ready and always having fun at the Formal Party~ try it out, I'm sure you'll like it. But if you want to know the real feeling, you'll need to pat and pay two lien. You seem definitely more capable of handling it~" He told Richard with a small flirtly bat of his own eyes, he was way too adorable to be doing this.... and definitely looking younger than most of the people here.

Learning what she did from Kali was certainly an eye opener. She didn't even know that anything like that was possible. She was definitely worried about her teammate but her thoughts couldn't help but go to dark places. She thought of her own mother, what little she did know, and wondered if she would have ever done such a thing. Disgust and anger was directed towards Yui's mother though she had sucked it down in favor of looking after her teammates. She wanted nothing more than to hug Yui and pat her on the head to tell her that it would be alright, something similar she did with her siblings back home. When she had returned back to her dorm room, she was absolutely exhausted. She had collapsed on her bed in a tired heap and only happened to glance at the calendar on the wall. There, circled in bright red, was the date of the Annual Ball. Sakura groaned and attempted to suffocate herself in an attempt to avoid going but she just ended up falling asleep with her pillow knocked to the floor. So, much to her own displeasure, she realized she was going to the ball and had no choice but to say no.

Before she knew it, it was the night of the ball and she...really didn't know what to feel. Not only did she not have date ("Not that I need one." Sakura would say) but she was also stuck staring at the dress that her father sent her. It actually belong to her mother, something she wore in her freshman year to her dance before she outgrew it. It took her a while to put it on. Not that it was a struggle but because she couldn't help but stare at it for a while. She felt like it didn't fit her. Her mother was very vibrant from the pictures she had seen of her and also a lot more...feminine? Sakura just took too much after her father despite, according to him, having her mother's spunky personality. Sakura did eventually put it on along with the newly bought matching colored heels that matched. They weren't unbelievably tall which was a relief to her but also maybe a curse. She was kind of short, after all. It took Sakura another twenty minutes of staring at herself in the mirror, holding wads of tissue in her hand, wondering if she should just stuff her bra with them in an attempt to not fade into the background.

She decided not to after another five minutes and a miniature pep talk. After attempting to tame her wild hair, she decided that she was ready. Sort of. Well, she had just convinced herself that she was ready.

When she arrived, Sakura silently hoped that she wasn't too late. She looked around, spotting Ren immediately as it was hard not to spot him thanks to the attention that he was drawing to himself. She smiled and shook her head. He was a natural party-goer. She was kind of jealous at how social he could be. She continued to scan the crowd and spotted two familiar faces. Asger and that horse faunus in the courtyard. Sakura was glad to see that she was feeling okay. They were with someone else. A pink haired girl in a very nice dress that she pulled off wonderfully.

Actually, looking around once again, everyone seemed to be pulling off their outfits wonderfully. While she thought the dress she was wearing was nice, it probably didn't look nice on her. She wouldn't be surprised if people were laughing at her while she couldn't see. Sakura didn't realize that she stopped breathing until she heard her heartbeat in her ears. She took a few, subtle quick breaths as a look of discomfort immediately crossed her face. She hugged herself and kept her head down as she walked over to the snack table. It was too late to back out now. She poured herself some juice yet didn't drink it. Instead, she stood stiffly and looked at the liquid inside like it held all the answers in the universe in attempt to just be in her own little world to calm down so she could function again.
