What does your soquili leave as an offering for the wishing star? A tattered white feather. Short IC Response: Iki'ryo had told him of a star. A very special star that could grant the wishes of Soquili who gazed upon it. This presented Ashriel with something of a problem, as he couldn't do that very thing. He couldn't see it, or, well... anything. But he knew in his heart that it must be there. "My family has always been important to me, star," he told the cool night air. "We're warriors. Fighters on the side of truth and right. I have always tried to be a hero. But star, now that I've found love, I want... some of that family for myself, too. I want us to have a family together." His gaze was fixed and unblinking, hidden behind a dark swathe of hair. The hair served as both mask and armor, concealing his so-called weakness from others.
"I have thought of finding a willing mare, star. But... I just can't do it. I can't do that to my flameheart. It would hurt him beyond measure. I'm not a cruel stallion." They had come together after many adventures, after they'd fought against evil and for the side of good. After they had rescued foals and fillies alike. He'd always had his flameheart to rely on. He'd always counted on Iki'ryo, and there the stallion had been. There was darkness ever lurking, waiting to creep into both of their lives, both of their hearts, but they fought against that, too. He wanted to be a hero. No, not a hero. Iki'ryo's hero. "I want... to start a family with the stallion I love. I want to raise up a batch of warriors that my family will be proud of. I want to know that our legacy will go on."
He felt silly, now that he'd voiced the wish. Now that he'd spoken to thin air. But there was no taking it back. He'd meant every word. Now he'd just have to be ready for whatever consequences that it might have. Iki'ryo would be waiting. He always was. Ever loyal. Ever fond. Ever his. He left the little clearing that had briefly played the part of confidante, and went to find his lifemate, certain that he wouldn't have to search long or far.

Those who have been killed by skinwalkers and kalonas haunt him. He is looking for a companion who won’t be scared off by the spooks or the dark creepy places he must go. 10 Things I Like: Halloween themed ghosts bloody haunted glowy jack-o-lantern bat or owl or wolf 10 Things I Don’t Like: excessive bright colors, zombie What does your persona (or soquili or familiar) leave as an offering for the wishing star? Veslorurn walked out of the graveyard and into a clearing. He looked up at the bright star. It was a tough choice as to what to leave as an offering. In the end he’d carefully shorn a lock of his hair. He wasn’t a soquili that had much in the way of physical possessions. “I give this to you in the hopes that you can find me a good companion. The male had carefully gathered and collected soils from several graveyards. He laid his offering out on a rock. Maybe it was weird to be offering graveyard soil, but it was who he was. Once she became old enough and left, she just stayed in a secluded meadow high up in the mountains. All on her own. A beaded necklace that his sister gave him years ago. Short IC Response: Gabriel looked up at the sky with his head cocked to the side. He couldn't believe he was following his cousin's idea and asking a stupid star to see his sister again. It had been a long time since they last spoke. She left without a word and most of the time he wondered if she was even still alive. She was like him, a battle-worn warrior, but she gave it all up to pursue her dream of finding true love and being a nurturing mother. He didn't know if she even achieved that goal or dream at all. "Look...I'm not good with asking for things nor do I believe in this crap, but...I miss my sister..much more then my crazy brother." He took in a deep breath and looked down feeling a small thump in his chest. The idea of actually speaking with her again made him feel a little happy. It had been a long time since he felt that.
"I want to see her again. I want to be able to talk about our childhood memories.." He said softly as he lifted his head up looking at the stars one final time. "Let me see her again. He leaves soft blue peacock-like hippogriff feathers, their edges a little ruffled, as a tribute to the star. They resemble the silver cast necklace that hangs at the hollow of his throat, and represent their love for one another--both of his mates are part griff, both of them clawed, and he feels blessed just to know them. And, under the light of the star, he will offer a dance. Short IC Response: Gypsy Winter had always been a loner. Too strange and somewhat dark, he was ashamed of his pure Angeni heritage, feeling much like a tainted heart in a pure soul's body. He never once thought he'd find love--certainly not two mates. But...something amazing had happened. Daleson and Gansey, they loved him, accepted him for who he was from the start. It was a slow burn--Winter's own wary nature kept his heart sheltered from them, but Daleson wore down the walls... And gods, he was fond of the stallion. He'd never been one to be afraid of the big-bad-kalona (and it suited him that Miss Gansey was half kalona herself) but whenever Daleson was around him, that large rainbow griff wing wrapping around Winter's smaller body...it was strange, but he felt like he was home. Tell the wishing star a little about yourself: She has spent years learning about the traditions of her people as well as the other groups in the area and it is still the night of the spirits that fascinates her most. She hopes for someone to celebrate the season with her, one that embodies its essence and understands her feelings.

Shika has come across a bright star as she looks up at it. "Oh how I wish to find anyone from my past. A sibling maybe. Leaving these feathers from my beloved cape here just for you wishing star. Please all you need to do is send some clues my way. After the walkers attacked my herd I was lost. Please oh great star send me a sign that I wasn't the only one to escape. I recall having a brother oh please at least allow him to be safe and sound. He was younger then I. If he is alive show me signs. I promise to find and protect him. Oh great wishing star hear my call." A few tears race from her cheeks landing on the feathers she has placed to give the wishing star for her wish. "Oh star I wish wish wish for a basket to take care of. I may still be young but I am old enough and awesome. I just haven't found a mate, but I don't want to have to wait for that. I would take such care of a little one on my own and I have the help of my family, so I don't need a mate. I take care of my pet frog so well. He loves me so, he follows me everywhere. I even brought you a little newt to show you how well I take care of others. Sooo please, please grant my wish"
She manages to get the newt in the puddle with quite some work and it paddles around breaking Fel's view of the star she was wishing to. Tell the wishing star a little about yourself: I have the best soquili charge in the world. He is considerate, and fun... and for the longest time, he needed me. I helped him heal. Helped him live after an accident that nearly took away his will to live. But now, now he has his princess and his family... He is happy. And he doesn't need me so much anymore. And I, I kind of want something for me. A life I can live, outside of his. I want... someone who is there for me.

Deep down he's empty, lonely, and ever moving from one person to another. He's broken, looking for his missing pieces to make him whole again. Short IC Response: Keely edged around the swamp as she walked around it. She had met a nice mare there once, but wasn't in any mood for company today. Earlier this day she had already run in with a strange stallion and had soon come to regret it. As in any male, he was pig-headed and stupid. No use to the pony-race or nature in general. Ever since being betrayed by her lifemate and the stallion she considered a father, she had come to feel this way.
She kicked a bit of mud out of her way as she sighed. Would all males come to disappoint and upset her? If only there was a male out there she could trust. She let her mind wander to when she had first popped from her basket. Seeing two empty baskets beside her. The only other ponies around where a fuzzy mare and a small male like herself. The male had stared at her and shook his head as if she was to make no noise. The fuzzy mare had been draging him off as she walked away from a pool of red on the ground.
If there had been one male who she could trust, she bet it would be her brother. The one she had only glimpsed once, and yet she now knew had saved her life. She came out of her memories to a dark sky. As she looked around, she saw the swamp was behind her. She had been doing that a lot lately, zoning out and having no recollection of where she had been.
She looked to the sky to see if the stars could help guide her to somewhere she knew more than this. Just a glimpse of a shooting stars tail whipped across the sky as her eyes turned to the stars. A shooting star? Her lips twitched up for a second as she remembered what Ironforge would have called it. A wishing star.
Maybe it was time to free some of the hate in her heart. It had been over a year now since she ran away from the happy life she had known. Using a wishing star might be a good start. She puffed out her cheeks and gave in.
"................Uhh...." Not that she even knew how to start a wish to a wishing star. "Uhh... Dear wishing star.... If you could possibly, I'd like to see my brother again." She supposed that would be good enough. She took the one thing left of her past she had and left it on a rock that laid beside her. She turned, and walked away. Walking away from the tuft of Ironforges fur she had kept. Now there was nothing to connect her to the happy times she had once known.

Two fluffy feathers, one a creamy white and the other a pale blue, are left along with a lock clipped from a snowy mane - all from her three children when they were foals. Atop this is the shed skin of one of her talons and a withering rose that seems likely to fall apart at the slightest touch. Short IC Response: What does you soquili ask/tell the wishing star when he or she comes to ask to find their relative?Of all the places Lilith could have found herself tonight, seeking out a wishing star was not one of them. It was such a foolish endeavor, something meant for foals who didn't know any better and the truly desperate. And what did that make her, if she was neither? Her desires were simple - to live another day, to bother Zelcion even more... But the curse of having children seemed to be that she now had family on her mind, and it didn't seem willing to leave. How annoying.
Perhaps that was why she was bothering with this, taking a morbid offering and trying her best to ignore the fragile spark of hope that had ignited in her chest. It had been a very long time since she'd seen her family - long enough that she hardly remembered their faces. But when they were all so insufferably content with their lives, unable to see beyond their own noses... Well, she'd had good reason to leave when she had, but perhaps she had acted a bit rashly. And while she certainly held no desire to see her parents again... There was her brother.
The poor, sweet dolt.
He'd always been the happiest thing, seemingly unburdened by the curse of her family's appearance. Even the most vivacious among them still carried the look of death, ghastly appearances that often mimicked grievous injuries and other terrible ways to die. A slit throat, spidery veins that mimicked the patterns that appeared when struck by lightning... She vaguely remembered a more distant relative - an uncle of some kind - who'd looked as thought death itself had already claimed him. (He'd been her favorite, of course.)
But her brother would undoubtedly be disgustingly overjoyed to find he had nephews and a niece. He'd prance around them and whisper promises of spoilings to be given and bat his pretty eyelashes just like he did when he'd done something particularly naughty he was trying to get away with. And then he'd vanish and reappear weeks later, laughing over having forgotten something so important yet somehow making up for his absence well enough that it was hardly noticed. Really, it was a wonder she wanted to see him at all.
In the end, glowering down at her offering and digging her claws into the ground, she left the wishing star with simple words that did little justice to her desire to see her brother. She certainly didn't want anyone thinking she missed him, or anything so terribly foolish.
