The idea of a prequel is indeed charming.
Kratos said Mithos was once his apprentice, so why did he decide to follow him instead? And how the hell was it that they split the world in two? I'd like to see that.

Does it mean seeing the end of the Kharlan War and what really happened with the future Seraphim?
Because if so...heck yes.
Not to mention, we'd get to have Kratos THE ENTIRE TIME.
And what could be better than that.

Personally, I would like to see them make a game to explain how Tales of Phantasia even happens after DotNW.
For anyone not familiar with Tales of Phantasia, it was the first Tales of game ever, and it's based in the same world as Symphonia, but 4202 or so years in the future. If I recall correctly, in DotNW, Ratatosk says basically that he will rewrite the rules of the world or whatever, so there won't be any mana in the world. If he does do that, how did the storyline in Phantasia even happen? The
enrire plot line revolves mana!
Either that, or a game about the Kharlan War. Having Kratos the entire game sounds nice~

That reminds me, I was looking through the Aselia Timeline before chancing upon this information, and I remember being curious about the time of the Ragnarok War, mentioned in the linked article and during the time the party was in Thor in Phantasia. Erryn Lovelace Hallie Neko-chan I wouldn't mind seeing what becomes of everyone after Dawn of the New World. I know many fans didn't count it as a sequel but aside the disappointing changes in voice acting, I really didn't mind it. Well, that and it was too short in my opinion... Either that or, I do like the idea of a prequel. Maybe following Kratos' life, so we get to see what happened back in the days of Mithos and Martel up to the point where he meets Anna and when Lloyd is born. I think following Kratos' point of view would make for a really good game, and I'm sure it would be pretty moving as well. Daddy Kratos~! whee That's too cute to think about! 4laugh There's a boatload of oyako fanfiction just waiting to be read by people like you. X3 Daddy Kratos galore.
Now, my opinion on this... I would love a 3rd game, but I think it'd be nicer to see a prequel than another 'afters' game. Sure I love Dawn, but making another deep and dark threat for the 2nd gen would be going overkill, wouldn't ya say? The sequel had a good base, let's not ruin it.
A game to end the Kharlan War, however...now that would rock my socks clean off. I want to see how the first group met, how they became who they are, and what Mithos used to be like. I don't really want to see Martel die, but...it is necessary.

A prequel with Kratos and Mithos sounds like the way to go, there isn't really much to be added just after Dawn [and too much futher ahead and there isn't much point calling it ToS]

However, that would probably just be in Phantasia territory, yeah.

Erryn Lovelace Actually, if you read about Kratos on the Aselia Wiki, it tells you how he met Yuan, Mithos, and Martel. It does offer some tasty tidbits, but there's also plenty that's not there. Not to mention, it'd be so exciting to actually see and experience it.

I know! She's not ignored by the fandom by any means, but the game sure had her in the background. I NEED TO SEE WHAT SHE WAS LIKE!!
-laughs and shakes head- I'm afraid not, all that's for sure is that Lloyd got her hair and eye color (so boo on the authors who keep giving her green eyes) and that her hair was short. A bit above her shoulders, judging by her 3 seconds in the United World Episodes opening.

I've been super busy as of late so I haven't had much time. But when I get a chance I'mma look her up again <3

I honestly would like to see it from Kratos' view. Now that would be fun .
