Ein was tired, and she was getting a little bit curious too. The days had been spent as they were usually spent, but maybe someone had decided to reward her with higher thinking- because these days, she found herself thinking things she would never have dreamt about otherwise.

Dreams. That was what had started it all, really. She was having dreams of people, places, and she didn't like any of it. Dreams when she was darker, plainer, when people didn't like her. She could remember being a baby- kind of. But like any girl entering childhood, it wasn't easy. It was foggy, musty... and she was finding it harder and harder to keep a grasp on what had actually happened, and what she was making up to fill the blanks.

It was the dreams that bothered her the most. She felt so... unwanted in them, that sometimes she woke up crying and had to remember to turn the pillow around, so that Silver wouldn't know.

She was crying in her dreams, and she hated it.

She remembered someone else too.

Mommy.

And from that day forewords, she stopped calling Silver mother.
