As you wake up you feel something a little stranger, lighter almost-
- Followed by a loud tick tick and then beeping noise that rapidly begins to shriek louder and louder -
- Perhaps you manage to realize it is that bracelet you've been wearing the past month, before it finally snaps lose, burning brightly, smoking and sizzling-
- And explodes everywhere, taking half your bed with it. Or if you are on sentry duty, taking a good chunk of the floor which you will be paying for.
It's a good thing it snapped loose first, right?OOC PS: BRACELETS ARE OFF (technically this happened an IC month after they were put on but in case people haven't rped it here you go). This affects only the volunteers who were affected a while back!

Deus Status Within a day of the Tear, you notice the fog beginning to thin. After several, the sky above Deus is a clear blue and the sun readily visible and shining down on the island. Without the shields, the fogs of Insanity are no longer contained within the island.
Suffering:
Portals are down. Leaders may still rip open new ones with their weapons.
No Haunted House Access
No Golems
Phones are emergency only unless you want your battery to die
Back to eating MRE's
Though sunlight means farming is now a possible duty
Non-essential buildings (like houses and the dorms) no longer have any power
Essential buildings have limited power (no wasting resources on non-essential projects)
No weapons conversions

Deus Housing Status Due to the trainee dorms filling up, the dorm basement has been once again opened for trainees to room in.
basement rooms mirror the trainee floor, room numbers going b01-b99
basement walls, ceilings, and floors are plain cement
basement rooms do not have windows
some aspects of the basement floor indicate it may have once been a medieval dungeon that was refurbished a long time ago. Random iron rings attached to walls, the occasional barred door, possible instruments of torture, and suspicious bloodstains are things than may sometimes be found in the basement.
the shared bathrooms of the basement are barely functional, full of rust, and the water runs like something out of a horror movie (roll 1d100 for suffering, if they roll under 80, something unpleasant occurs)

CHARGING THOSE PORTALSAs you do your patrols, you might see some people doing work in the lighthouse portals. If you approach them, there are two techs that are centered inside, along with of course, Mark.
"Doesn't look good," says the Death Hunter, who is trying to make heads and tails of five maps. "Even if I got the coordinate locator working again, we can't get this stuff running without enough power." Pause. "Oh hey, I got a great idea - why don't you find some. It'll be like, one for the team. Get us some juice, like those rune stuff I see hot babes in bikinis diving - I mean researching for, or like, that stuff off the Insanity titans is full of usable raw power. Yeah, that stuff will probably do it."OOC PORTALS ARE IN RENOVATION- They need help at the portals! To get them working again, they need quite a list of supplies. Once these supplies have been fulfilled, they can get portals working again. Simply post in the mission report thread a successful retrieval of either runes OR Insanity Titan Defeat gaia_star - 200 runes are collectively needed for the portal. Post in the mission report how many are collected, and also, how many donated for science (to the portal) gaia_star - 10 Insanity Titan Fragments (complete) needed for the portal. WITH THE POWER OF TENTATIVE SCIENCE: DEUS PORTALS ARE TEMPORARILY BACK UP- Strictly MISSION or assigned mission only (any of the existing EMs is okay!)
- No vacation or leave allowed yet
- Halloween surveillance with golems is allowed
- HH vicinity patrol is allowed ie anything in this thread!

Stormy Weather
It started out as a drizzle, and then a light shower, but within in an hour the winds surrounding the island picked up and slammed into the island with a storm more violent than it has seen in centuries.
For a week, the island experiences weather than ranged from thunder storm to all out hurricane.
ps: basement is flooded, upper floor windows may get smashed open

The Rain is GoneOn the morning of the February 6th, hunters are woken up by music suddenly coming over the island-wide intercom. And those checking outside would find that the storm had indeed passed. For the next week, the island experiences the most beautiful, ideal weather it's ever had. Ever.
In the basement: the water will take another day to drain out of their rooms. Those with oubliettes will find that they remain full of water, and possibly have floating skeleton bits in them, enjoy.

PORTALS, LEAVE AND YOU:
- Almost all power is back in Deus! That means most showers have warm water again, and power is functionally running enough to have science and technology
- Yes you can use your hot tubs again
- No, you don't get hot tubs trainees
- Also Death Hunters are taken off probation and can leave the island again!
- Lastly, if you were part of the horsemen ORP and at any point in the battle were converted to a horsemen, you now have recurring nightmares about being a horseman. Feel free to write those in your journal, or as drabbles!

All throughout the island every single piece of non-runic glass is shattered. All throughout the island hunters find themselves with a vicious hunger for revenge against both terrible acts and minor slights. All throughout the island, hunters would find themselves consumed by dreams of bloody vengeance. The curse lasts until sunrise the next morning.
