xxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx【 SUZUME CHIYOKO 】 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxLoneliness hit me suddenly, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxbut it’s only t h e n that I realized, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxafter all that I have ever DREAMED of, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxI really don’t like F I G H T I N G ✿✿✿ Suzume had been walking around the rather large estate, her eyes full of curiosity and inquisitiveness. While she enjoyed some time to her own thoughts, she would prefer to be next to her sister, but her sister was most likely busy with her new wife. It was strange how fast things progressed, but then again, a year was a pretty long time. When her sister had casually told her that she had a lover, she had almost fainted on the spot. After all, she knew that her sister was not exactly fond of those relationships, after their parents forced her into an arranged marriage, but having Tsukiko for a lover was something that she should have expected. Maybe it would be best for her to return? Nah, she would merely get in their way. Gladly receiving one of the drinks, she drained half the cup in one go. Unlike most of the people that she knew, her tolerance for alcohol was rather high. She absent-mindedly sipped some of the sake, as she wondered about what to do next. There wasn’t anybody else that she was especially close to, or at least, considered herself to be ‘friends’ with. It looked as if it was about time that she started to greet more people or chat to them and be friendly.
A melody reached her ears and she looked up, momentarily startled. She didn’t know that anybody here could play anything as nice as that. Scanning the vicinity, she rested her eyes on the source – a certain 2nd Division Captain, Nu Naohito. Since there was really nothing else for her to do, she merely walked closer to Nu, keeping a very short distance away. There were two males around her, something that she knew that her sister had been working on for ages. Elisia had told her about her ‘plan’, to find Nu a perfect mate and make the other girl open up a little. Their friendship was a little strange, she had always thought, since one was a fighter and one was a healer. “Gotta tell Eli about this, she’ll be delighted,” she muttered under her breath to herself as a reminder. She didn’t speak for the meantime, instead merely smiling and nodding in the others’ direction. At this particular moment, she wasn’t really one for making conversation, but she might just keep an eye on Nu for her sister. Some encouragement might be needed at certain moments, if really necessary.

⋆⋆⋆∥ELISIA xRIYU ☇【squadxfourxCAPTAIN】 Elisia’s cheeks flared red, something that she hadn’t done for a while. Seriously, it wasn’t her fault that she couldn’t drink alcohol! After all, she highly doubted that a dream wedding would include her fainting or getting extremely drunk. Shuddering slightly at that thought, she pouted slightly, feeling embarrassed about her low tolerance. However, the next few moments put her in an utter mood of bliss, as Tsukiko kissed her. While she was slightly awkward due to the fact that this was an extremely public place, she found herself melting into the other girl as she responded with the same amount of passion. Tsukiko had been like that ever since her body was modified – something that she was still getting quite used to. The red hair, the light blue eyes…this was what the girl was meant to look like if she ever grew up. It had been hard letting go of the old Tsukiko, but it was quite worth it to see the beauty now that was before her.
She would have stayed right next to Tsukiko, revelling in the other girl’s presence and kisses, if it wasn’t for Tsukiko saying that she should talk to her friends. Really? It wasn’t like she hadn’t been considering it, but to tell the truth, she would have liked to stay next to the girl’s side. Then again, she couldn’t ignore the rest of the people here and like Tsukiko said, they had a lot of time…even forever, really. Smiling and nodding to Tsukiko, she moved to an upright position, replying with tenderness to Tsukiko’s statement, “I love you too, Tsuki.” A momentarily sense of loss ripped through her as the girl let go of her hands, but she held it back, knowing that there was always later. Was she sounding too sentimental? For some reason, around the other girl and on days like this, she found herself always smiling and being happy. It was good to have some days like these, instead of bad news, like the news of the death of their three comrades. A frown appeared on her face as she silently prayed for them, hoping that they would be alright wherever they might be now.
Combing back some loose strands of hair that had managed to escape from her hairdo, she carefully and slowly ambled over to where she could see Nu, her sister, Tadashi and another Shinigami who she had not met before. The butterflies in her stomach had vanished by now, making her able to be a little more carefree than before. Settling next to her sister, she ruffled Zume’s hair, before turning to the others. Perfect. It seemed as if Nu was opening up a little bit (hopefully), so that was a good step. Giving the other girl a subtle thumbs-up for her attempt to socialize, she greeted those that she knew, “Hey, Nu, Tadashi…and…” she paused briefly, turning her inquisitive gaze onto the unknown Shinigami, “I’m sorry, I don’t think we’ve met before. You are…?” She scrutinized the other girl’s appearance, letting out an audible sigh. It was alright, but she had hoped that Nu would have worn something a little more…girlish, perhaps? Some frills or some ribbons would have been nice. She’d need to talk to Nu about that later on when she had the time. For now, she tilted her head to one side, complimenting Nu, “You play very well, Nu, I didn’t pin you down for the musical type.” ▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬

What you build you lay to waste. There's truth in your lies. Doubt in your faith. All I've got's what you didn't take. So I, I won't be the one. Be the one to leave this. In pieces. And you, you will be alone. Alone with all your secrets. And regrets, don't lie. You promised me the sky. Then tossed me like a stone. You wrap me in your arms. And chill me to the bone. There's truth in your lies. Doubt in your faith. All I've got's what you didn't take." Lee had been pretty busy over the last year doing a variety of things that left little time for sleep and he had grown accustomed to sleeping less. He had been having disturbing dreams as of late concerning his adopted brother which was probably another reason for his lack of sleep. Deciding on keeping the dreams to himself he simply dived head first into his work not bothering to explain why. Well not just his work he had also set aside time for getting to know some others. Though his time had mainly been filled with work and training. Therefore when news of the three ranking officer's deaths reached him it intrigued him. Mochi had been someone he had a little contact with but the other two were practically unknown to Lee aside from their names of course. Still it was a little surprising to hear of their deaths. Either way life went on however.
The light in the dark times seemed to be the wedding of Tsukiko and Elisia something he had been invited to and attended. Meeting up with Eriko at the event he sat beside her through the entire event content with watching it. Afterwards he had wondered off into the crowd without thought and left Eriko behind unintentionally. Oh well everybody needed their space anyway right? He followed everyone into the gardens with his black formal suit on for the event leaving behind his usual accessories minus the rings which were securely around his fingers. His zanpakuto was in it's rejected state so that it was obtainable if he needed it but not actually on him. It was a little odd to see the two women married but Lee didn't really spare much thought towards the union. If it made them happy then who was he to say something to them correct? Everybody should be allowed to pursue their own happiness after all.
Standing away from everybody Lee was content with looking the garden over and admiring it. Hei being the head of a noble family was odd and being in the Hakase residence as it was left an odd feeling. Slipping his hands into the pockets of his suit he after awhile turned his attention to some of the other guests. Nu was the first person to catch his eyes so he watched her for a time. It was odd what you could notice about a person if you just put enough time into watching them or were around them enough. His time as her Captain had taught him a few things about her most of which he kept to himself. It seemed pointless to bring certain things up that he had noticed which could lead to questions he didn't feel like answering. Instead he simply kept the business relationship they had always had. Friendship was something that Lee was not against with her yet at the same time it just seemed like it would hinder her job.
As it stood the woman was enjoying herself on the outside and therefore Lee refused to allow himself to dive any deeper into her actions. Moving his eyes away from her to the men around her Lee looked them over silently making an opinion of them for the moment before moving on. Accepting a drink from one of the servants he drank it then refused anything else figuring it would be rude to refuse the first but he didn't feel like anymore afterwards. Letting out a small sigh Lee's eyes briefly lingered on the form of Eriko before they moved from her as well. Space was what he would grant her for the moment to give her thinking time. After a moment of silent thought he had the servant who had lingered get him some water instead. The man seemed eager to be of use and water actually sounded good. After getting the water he took a drink then closed his eyes to listen to the soft music being played. It was a soothing tone that helped the nightmares that had formed disappear from his thoughts for the moment. And that in itself was a welcome thing.
Yuu had disappeared years ago and he thought it should remain that way after all he had searched for years to no results. Namihime had grown a little more distant in the face of the nightmares and offered no solace from them. In fact it almost seemed as if she avoided the subject like the plague something that screamed she knew more than she was letting on. Either way she just remained silent whenever the subject was brought up so eventually Lee stopped bringing it up. Letting out a small sigh Lee took a drink and reopened his eyes still lingering off by himself. Letting his eyes rest on the scene involving Nu, the two men, his lieutenant, and now Elisia. After a moment he moved towards where the food was located to blend in a little more.

▀ ▄ ▀ ▄ ▀ ▄ ▀ ▄ ▀ ▄ ▀ ▄ ▀ ▄ ▀ ▄ [[373]] Two boys, one woman, and the one girl who wished to see her in this sort of situation was coming straight for her. This was going to be incredibly ridiculous- no, the whole day was ridiculous with the situation as well. And to think, they were semi friends now. This whole situation just seemed to have gone from crappy to hell as soon as Elisa commented on her. She was an enemy to Nu's social status- but its not like Nu could avovid males forever with a friend like her. Nu realized that she has to escape while she can, or she would never hear the end of it. "Ah, hello Elisa-san, I...must depart, thank you for the company..Tadashi...kun, Keizo-kun..." With a rare gentler smile to them all, and a ruffle to the hair of Elisa, she clearly retreats away from the group, shamishen in hand.
The black haired girl practically flew to the main food table, occupying her free hand with a food tray, her eyes looking around to find Elisa, in case she follows. A year earlier, she wouldn't be this vulnerable, but making friends with one girl forced her to be more self conscious then she actually wanted to be. The girl just stood there, her arms occupied over and her eyes closed. She slowly opened her eyes upon sensing a familiar presence, letting out a sigh as soon as she identified the target, Lee; someone who she could actually talk to without much incident . Nu felt calmer around her former Captain; his obliviousness to much except his duty or mission always left the impression for her that he was beyond things of that nature. Even Elisa could see, Lee was just a friend;there could be nothing. "Ah, hello Lee....." She bowed slowly, a smile accompanying it. "Enjoying the festivities?...."
Nu sighed, setting the plate down by a nearby rock. Going back, she comes back with the more important element to a good time:sake. Offering him a small cup, he brings the cup to her lips and downs the rice wine, a gentle smile still on her face. The music Nu was playing had stopped though he hadn't really noticed it yet using the continued isolation to remain in his thoughts. A familiar presence washed over him seconds before Nu's voice broke him out of his thoughts causing him to turn his head in her direction giving her a small bow in return. "Nu-taichō. Good to see you again. You could say that." All in all he wasn't enjoying the festivities all that much but it wasn't anything to really put on his old Lieutenant. The smile she had on her face seemed a little off at first but it was something that you got used to after awhile. Being offered the sake Lee took it and gave a small nod of appreciation still keeping his water firmly in his other hand.
Bring the sake up gently he tipped it back slowly and drank the contents of the cup handing it back to her then giving her a small stop hand gesture to let her know he didn't want anymore. Lingering near her Lee listening to her question pondering the best way to answer the question. "I am not much for these types of events Nu-taichō you should know that quite well. Even if it is a good thing I don't find it particularly enjoyable or even feel the need to enjoy myself." Well maybe that wouldn't have been so had he not been having the nightmares. He had to force a smile on his face whenever he was supposed to smile now a days. Then again he had never been really good at smiling really. He had gotten better at it after awhile but with everything that had happened recently he was finding it harder to find a reason to even want to smile.
"And yourself? I don't have to be your former taichō to know you aren't exactly in the greatest of spirits as well. Something you would like to get off your chest? No one else is really listening to us at the moment so feel free to say whatever you like." There he had turned the tables on her by posing the same question she had posed to him. The woman seemed off to Lee at the moment almost unsure of herself or something of that nature. Perhaps even a little lonely. Most of all however she didn't seem to be quite her usual self really. She certainly seemed just a tad uncomfortable with the situation she had just left. "Trying your hand at romance for once Nu-taichō?" Raising an eyebrow in her direction Lee looked away after a moment and closed his eyes fighting the urge to release a sigh. "If you are at least be sure it is for the right reasons. And above all else make sure it is someone that is worthy. I would hate to have to kill someone for making my former Fukutaichō cry...." While the statement was said with a slight hint of amusement Lee meant every word of it and knew that Nu would likely understand that.

♪ Have you ever encountered such a beautiful melody? ♪ ═══════════════════════╕ Kyo had his back turned to the group for the moment. The Hakase estate was quite stunning to behold indeed, but looking out over the landscape was not his reason for turning his back to the group momentarily. It was an attempt to conceal the fact that he was drinking a vial of serum as if it was his first drink of water after being lost in the desert. The urge to feed had struck him during the ceremony, but he had managed to hold his vampiric side at bay through sheer force of will out of respect for Elisa and Tsukiko. He had already tried to take Elisa's life a year ago, to ruin her wedding in much the same manner would be too much for him to bear. He felt his heart rate slowing indicating his craving was subsiding and ran his tongue along his teeth to make sure his fangs had retracted before breathing a sigh of relief. He looked at the small vial in his hand for a moment before closing his fingers around it and sliding it back into the jacket pocket of the new uniforms he had commissioned for the Hachibantai shortly after taking over as Captain. Kyo had taken to heart the Peacekeepers moniker his division had and as such retooled to mimic a human world police office, badges and all. He felt the new uniforms and badges would help to instantly identify the authority of a member of the Hachibantai, so when they intervened in a situation there were no questions as to who was responsible for better or worse. He quickly buttoned up his uniform jacket and adjusted his Zanpakuto which was at his right hip. He had chosen not to wear his Captain's haori, feeling that it might be too informal instead opting to wear the slightly more ornate ceremonial jacket instead of his regular uniform for the special occasion.
"Such a beautiful day. Everyone is in light spirits as well," he said to himself as he walked back towards the gathering. A smile found it's way to his face as he walked. This was the closest to a day off he'd been able to have since becoming a Captain and yet he still couldn't let his guard down completely. Kyo felt he had to be ever vigilant as his division was responsible for arresting any Shinigami that caused an trouble for Seireitei, quite the ironic twist considering he had been such a Shinigami a year ago. He looked around, recognizing every face as he had spent a few nights running secret criminal psychological profiles on every other high ranked Shinigami. It wasn't that he suspected they were guilty of a crime, it was more preemptive investigation just so he knew who to keep an eye on. The obvious prime candidate for illegal activity was Hei of course, but Hei was a crafty mouse. Kyo had a feeling Hei knew he was watching and was toying with him by leaving just enough evidence to point in his direction, but never enough to arrest him, though Kyo highly doubted he could stick a conviction even if Hei was arrested. In all honesty, Kyo quite enjoyed the game of cat and mouse with Hei as two rivals would enjoy a game of chess or two generals would enjoy attempting to out strategize each other in battle. It was quite riveting to say the least even though Hei probably wasn't even aware they were playing a game of cat and mouse. Regardless of that, however, Kyo stilled reveled in the thought of being able to arrest Hei one day. Besting him physically was of no interest to Kyo. It was Hei's intellect that he had come to admire the most, and defeating that would be akin to claiming the title of strongest fighter in Kyo's eyes.
He smiled then made his way over to the refreshment table. "Masashi-Taicho, Naohito-Taicho," he spoke with a nod, greeting Lee and Nu before asking the servant to pour him a drink of water as well. He walked away after his drink was poured leaving them to whatever conversation they were having. The water was a welcome addition to his body. He didn't know why, but he felt antsy. Under his orders all members of his division were required to carry Reiatsu flares to signal for help in case of trouble they couldn't handle. Even with that knowledge, however, Kyo felt unsettled. It was as if they were enjoying the calm before a storm, though he hoped with every fiber of his being he was just being paranoid.
Shaking off his pessimistic thoughts, Kyo decided he would go and congratulate Elisa. It had taken him quite some time to be able to talk to her again after that night, only offering a long heart-felt apology letter and avoiding her for the most part. Eventually he had matured enough to apologize in person for his actions. He still isn't sure if she fully accepted his apology or not, but either way that day had ushered in the change which resulted in the current Kyo. He made his way over with a wide smile. "Hello, Riyu-Taicho. Congratulations. I wish you and Tsukiko eternal happiness together." Though it sounded as if he was being facetious, Kyo was quite sincere in his wishes for their happiness. When one had a life such as theirs where a comrade could be lost in battle the next day every little moment of happiness counted.

⋆⋆⋆∥ELISIA xRIYU ☇【squadxfourxCAPTAIN】 Elisia raised an eyebrow at Nu’s obvious discomfort and then hurried departure. Her eyes followed the girl for a short while, although she promptly discarded any thought of romance as soon as Nu started talking to Lee. It was pretty obvious to anyone that they were merely friends, nothing more. Damn. Well, she’d let Nu get away with this for now, but later, she’d have to arrange for those girly dresses to come and ‘accidentally’ appear at the other girl’s quarters. An impish grin flickered through her face as she thought of this and other things, planning out everything carefully as to what she was going to do. It was not going to be that easy next time to flee, especially if she managed to corner the girl once and for all. Whistling cheerfully to herself, she was interrupted by the sudden appearance of Kyo. She almost tripped over her own feet in her surprise, but managed to regain some semblance to the calm composure she had before. To tell the truth, he had been one of the last people she had been expecting to see, due to the fact that he had been avoiding her. It had been his vampiric side which had taken over, nearly killing Elisia herself in the process.
While she could hardly admit that she had enjoyed that, she understood it a little better now. He still seemed a little awkward around her, although she had tried, in her stammering and shy manner, to tell him that everything was alright. However, now was different. She was no longer so afraid of herself or of everything and she was slowly opening up to people. Instead of immediately voicing her thoughts, she merely said in a grateful voice, “Thank you very much, Kurihara-Taichō.” She paused briefly, unsure of how to convey her thoughts in a way that others would not understand, as most likely, few knew of his ‘vampire’ side. Laying a hand on Kyo’s arm, she firmly told him, “Kurihara-Taichō, I know this might not be the best time to say this, but I thought I’d tell you, don’t worry about what happened before. Don’t apologize, it wasn’t your fault at all. It could have happened to anyone. But I hope that you will be able to put that in the past and forget about it. It would do both of us good.” With that, she released his arm, merely gazing at the new arrival. It seemed as if this was Kyo’s Lieutenant and most likely, someone that was rather devoted to duty.
She smiled at him pleasantly and in a friendly manner, sincerely hoping that he didn’t understand anything of what she had said before. However, she couldn’t help but giggle a little at the Lieutenant’s mention of the food being too good. She had tasted it for herself so she knew that it was true. After this was done, she had better formally thank Yuki and Hei for letting them use their estate and for their help in organizing the wedding. Yuki wouldn’t be too bad, but Hei was another story altogether. It had been the same when she had asked for Tsukiko’s hand in marriage, although it had been definitely not what she had anticipated. Maybe it might go better like that. Accepting another cup of sake from a rather overly-eager servant, she pulled a face at it. If she drank any more, she was definitely going to end up completely drunk. She cringed mentally at that thought, before warily taking a few sips. That was one thing she’d have to improve on. Absentmindedly playing with the edges of her cup, she focused her vision again on Kyo’s Lieutenant. “You must be new, right? How long have you been Kurihara-Taichō’s Lieutenant? Ah, sorry for bombarding you with questions all of the sudden. It’s nice to meet you, I’m Elisia Riyu, Captain of the Fourth Division. And your name is...?” ▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬

It always surprises me that we can still find happiness in these times, especially as a Captain...." Being in his division, as well as her own, she never had much of a go at social gatherings, staying up in her own room quietly practicing kido or training her body. She couldn't call them happy times, but she felt a bit of nostalgia thinking back on them. Some of his own personality must have rubbed off in her, as she couldn't remember going out like she was now, but she learned quite a bit under his wing and she was grateful, though she had a much harder time showing it then normal people.
Just as she was about to drink a third glass, his own counter questioning made her stop and stare into the little pool of wine, trying to come up with the proper words to answer him. Shrugging quietly, she downs the drink and stares at her feet, a rare moment of hesitation before putting up a confident front, waving her hand in a passive manner. "Bah, just Elisa-san these days. Pestering me on proper woman's behavior...." She felt more secured with him around, perhaps it was the same feeling back when she was usually saved by him, in his usual gruff way. "Its not as though I hate what she is trying to do for me, its just....." Another hesitation; this was getting more and more frequent these days, baka Elisa... "Well, as a Captain, that sort of conduct is....impractical is it not? It creates bonds which could be used against one, in a hostage situation or something along those lines....." His sentiments were glady accepted with a smile, he may have his own way about it, but she knew the man cared for her, and it made herself feel more reassured about herself. "Heh, thank you Lee-taichou, for everything..." Feeling an unusual wetness close to her eye, she raises a hand to the odd moisture, finally realizing it is a tear. "Heh....odd..." Bowing deeply, she leaves once again in a hurry, her scarf indicating where she last was as she weaves through the small crowd easily, finally choosing to rest on a bench, away from the festivities. "Bah, can't...let Elisa see me..." Frowning to herself, she wipes away any traces from her physical form of sensitivity with a handkerchief, returning to her music, plucking away at her shamishen. The song this time was a much more soothing, almost sad kind of tune that rang from her small instrument.
It rang throughout for a good time, some stopped to stare, others continued on without much thought, it made little difference to the musical Captain. The music helped her, though why she needed help was something she couldn't figure out yet, so instead she laid down her sword and played, something she hadn't done in quite some time now.

 Tadashi Sakamoto
9th Division Lieutenant Tadashi gave a nod and a smile to Elisia to acknowledge her greeting and remained silent.
As Nu left, Tadashi poured himself another generous amount of alcohol from his gourd and sighed. He had the feeling that the Captain had felt rushed by all the people who'd swarmed her after hearing the melody. He hoped that it didn't discourage her from playing again today.
Having nothing else better to do, he simply watched the others continue to shift around and socialize. With some amusement, he saw Nu head for the sake right after getting out of her new fan club. Tadashi briefly wondered if she had a high tolerance for the stuff like he did. Scanning the area a bit more from his seated position, he noticed the 8th Division's Captain. The conclusion of the events with Zenos a year earlier were still a bit foggy, but whatever had happened had made a Lieutenant into a Captain in almost record time. Other than that, he simply noted that Elisia and Tsukiko had finally done the impossible and seperated for a bit.
Realizing he wouldn't get any decades younger sitting on a bench and drinking, he got up and finished the new saucer. He was starting to feel a little out of it, but again he had a high tolerance for alcohol. Judging by how much the contents of his gourd had gotten lighter, he had drunk a lot and probably wouldn't suffer for it if he stopped about here. He put the saucer into his Shinigami uniform and capped the top of the gourd, then fastening it to his waist with a string. Taking a deep breath, he started to walk through the gardens. It was a beautiful place, after all, and it would be a shame to waste the experience. It wasn't as if Hei's estate would be open to the public 24 hours a day after this.
He didn't even realize it until he'd gotten a good distance away from his original spot that he was listening to a similar melody to the one before. Understandably, he was surprised - he didn't even know Nu had finished talking with Lee.
It seemed like she wanted to get away from everyone who had been bothering her. Tadashi shook his head and about-faced, intending to leave her to that. He staggered a little, but he was still in good control of his body and mind. Tadashi really didn't want to make the Captain any more annoyed than she had been earlier. He took a few steps away and stopped again, thinking there was no harm in listening for a bit longer. This time around, there was a decidely haunted feeling inside the music, intriguing him in it even more so. It felt like the kind of music that would fit perfectly in his inner world, which was a place of darkness and beauty.

Jūbantai-Taichō My Fears... While the minutes passed by, Eriko relaxed slowly into the slight breezes that played across her dress and bare skin. Her appreciation for nature had increased incredibly over the past year with her continuous experimentation on her Bankai abilities. That had been a trial within its own right. Her Inner World had become as real to her as was the Soul Society due to the many times that a new idea popped into her head, demanding her exploration of it. Once the mechanics were identified, the rest of the practice would play out within someone's training grounds, whether hers or that of Masashi-Taicho. They had been bonding ever since that night in her room and the subsequent interrogation into his reasoning for refusing to spend the night. She had not been able to understand it at first but as they interacted more, it became clearer to her his apparent enigma of a personality. As things stood with them now, there was a relationship but neither had bothered with putting a name to it. However, Lee seemed to be distracted lately with something that she had not been able to put her finger on as well as making him talk.
The younger of the Captains shook her head at the unsettling thoughts. Today is supposed to be pleasant and happy. She could not spend anymore of it on worrying about what could be wrong with her...friend. Unfortunately, one fool-proof method to achieve this would be socialization. Time might have taken care of a few things for her but it had not eradicated her issues with personal interaction as well as it might have hoped. With a firm body shake, Eriko turned away from the vacant natural beauty of one side of the estate to face the side populated by her associates. At this point, Nu's music had stopped reaching her so that was the first person that she scanned the area for. It was not long before her eyes found the older woman by the main food table and chatting with their former Taicho. She continued walking along the previously mentioned bridge in attempt to rejoin the crowd. There were one ot two faces with which she was not entirely familiar but that would only be considered a problem if she was heading in their direction. By the time that she had made it onto land, Kyo-Taicho and his Lieutenant were talking with Elisia-Taicho and Nu was just finishing her chat with Lee-kun. Eriko stopped by a tree that was not too far away from the food table and by extension, was almost at the heart of the present company. Bored, her eyes picked up on sudden movement and she caught sight of Sakamoto. He appeared a bit lop-sided to her. The explanation presented itself quickly when he placed a gourd and cup away on his person. It seemed everyone was drinking today. Well, almost everyone was doing that. Her abstinence from liquor had managed to survive the year. She just could not bring herself to drink sake or any other type of wine for that matter. Her emotional stability did not need to be compromised.
Soon enough, a servant popped up at her side with an offer of alcohol which she refused promptly. There were other ways to enjoy oneself like eating. Actually, that sounded great. Almost an hour had passed since the ceremony and she had not taken part in any of the cuisine or anything else in reality. Since they had arrived, she had been drawn to the ponds and hills, forsaking her stomache in the process. "Okay, we'll eat something now so as not to die from hunger," she told herself, pushing off of the tree trunk, heading for the main food table at which Lee was situated since it was the closest. Taking up a plate, Eriko rounded the packed surface in search of the fruits. Truthfully, she wanted out of the cakes but to ensure some form of balance, her hands plucked a couple apples, pears and oranges before placing a miniature cake at the centre of the saucer. As she came around to the other side, the female stopped by Lee's right side. She did not say anything to him as yet, preferring to enjoy the nature around them as well as observe the others. Besides, her main reason for being there was to get something into her tummy. With a reminder of that, Eriko bit into one of the crisp, red apples and placed her plate in between Lee-kun and herself as an invitation to him to eat off of it as well. Words could happen after that. xxx ...I would rather be without you.

Asami appeared near a tree in the garden, off away from everyone else. She had checked in earlier, but had to leave to retrieve an item from her desk so she had not actually entered the party prior. Though she was here now and she didn't seem to be as late as she normally was. As she stood there she slowly let herself move backwards to lean up against the tree as she looked over the entire garden area at all the people who were already there and talking to one another. The tree she was against was in a corner so it offered her a full view of the party allowing her to see everyone without turning her head too much.
'So not everyone seems to be here.' She thought to herself. Over the past year she had been fairly solitary in her daily routine and hadn't talked to many people. Mostly only the captains and even then it was only when required. Though she had been solitary she had kept up on the goings on in Soul Society, as any good captain would. However she felt slightly shy now that she was out of her solitude and at a party and for the moment had no intentions of moving from her spot. If anyone needed her they could come find her.

▼▲▼▲▼▲▼▲▼▲▼▲ "A funeral for three and the great Hakase Hei did not bother to show up, not even when one of the deceased was a former lover of his. It is a most curious of things, Hei-taichō, that one such as you would not bother to even show his face at a large funeral, but will hold a most extravagant wedding in which the entirety of the Seireitei has been invited. Color me surprised, Taichō, for this is most unlike you." Ciel flashed a wide smirk, looking past the curved glass that fixed his vision and staring at the interactive hologram that was situated as far away from him as a desktop computer might normally be. As he continued to tap away at the seemingly ethereal, rounded keys, his left hand went to the bridge of his glasses and he habitually pushed them up with his middle finger. He was currently standing directly behind Hei, and given his choice of attire, an armani tuxedo, he was easily blending in with the rest of Hei's servants. This was not to say that he expected to fool Hei to any extent, but he imagined one or two of the others may mistake him for a servant, if only for an instant. This had not been his intent either, as he had much more important things to worry about than blending in with others. He was not Nu-taichō, who focused on stealth and striking from behind; that was just not within the realm of Ciel's abilities. Sure, he had the speed and the blade skill for it, but since he couldn't take a hit, he was no good for assassination.
As soon as his finger left the warmed metal, it was upon one of the screens in front of him, touching and dragging images and text, occasionally grabbing text by pressing on it, then flicking his hand to the side, sending the words off the screen. These discarded words would fly away from the screen before they reached the end of the hologram and faded into nothingness. All the while, he was still tapping away at the keys that lay before him, doing so quite quickly despite the missing letters that would have normally accompanied keys on a keyboard. Currently he was calculating the costs of the wedding, merely by glancing at the food, music, and other such items and using his large knowledge of pricing to determine an estimated cost. Of course, he would know the exact cost by the end of the day when the bill came, but this was how he amused himself, so he did so anyway. A rather large number flashed upon the screen, reflecting in his green eyes before vanishing as Ciel pushed on it and threw it onto another screen where it was stored on his own personal computer in his office. "In all seriousness, Hei-taichō, a standard wedding in the human world, or even here for that matter, is nearly 2.3 million yen. To shell out nearly 1.1 billion yen for a single wedding is a bit much, even for you." Abandoning the keyboard in front of him, he tapped the keys with the back of his hand, causing the keyboard to swing away from him like a door might. From under the crook of his right arm, he pulled out a book that he opened, and recorded several things inside before snapping it shut with one hand and tucking it away once more. ℒiterature adds to reality, it does not simply describe it. It enriches the necessary competencies that daily life requires and provides; and in this respect, it irrigates the deserts that our lives have already become. Exact figures were; ¥2,287,665.38 = $26,800 | and | ¥1,072,250,102.58 = $12,561,409.98

404 xxxxxxxxthe Sun locks the Heavens xxxxxxxxthe Moon eclipses the Night 博士月子 Jūnibantai Fukutaichō After scaling the small hill that lead to her father, she stopped several feet short of the man as she recognized that he was already engaging in conversation with someone else. His back was turned to her and he was standing directly behind Hei, so she quickly assumed him to be a servant of his. That was, at least until she saw the hologram he was playing with. Quickly recognizing that technology as the same kind used inside her very own body, she realized that it had to be someone else, and not a mere servant. Still, she held her ground, staying about ten feet back to let them talk it all out amongst themselves. When Tsukiko overheard the wedding costing almost 1.1 billion yen, she froze; she knew it had been expensive, but not that much.
Suddenly her intended peck on the cheek for her father seemed like the equivalent of feeing an elephant a single peanut and expecting it to be satisfied. Cringing at the the idea of repaying her father, she patiently waited for their conversation to end before approaching, quickly bending down to pet the wolf next to Hei, then standing awkwardly in front of her father while avoiding his gaze. "I uh..." She began hesitantly, suddenly feeling like her thanks were pointless; like they could ever measure up to a 1.1 billion yen gesture. Of course, not saying anything or doing anything was even worse, so she leaned over and gave her father a kiss on the cheek before straightening up once more.
"I just... on behalf of Elisia and I, I just wanted to thank you for everything you have done for us. All of this... well everything. The food, the music, the festivities. I can only imagine how much money it cost you." She didn't dare let on that she knew now since saying it out loud would only freak her out even more. "I'm not entirely sure where I would begin thanking you. If you want to be paid back in full, I could try my best to do so." Though she was fully aware she could never save that kind of money in her entire lifetime, she felt that offering was the appropriate gesture. As she awaited his answer, her gaze flew across what little garden remained behind Hei. She fidgeted with her hands behind her back as she attempted to find something else to concentrate on. ₪ ₪ ₪ ₪ ₪ ₪
